(CNN) - On the heels of a series of responses from the candidates on fiscal matters, moderator Anderson Cooper followed up with a question to former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani about a story that broke Wednesday concerning the possible mismanagement of taxpayer dollars.
Government records show bills for the former mayor's 24-hour security detail that amounted to tens of thousands of dollars as having been charged to various obscure city agencies.
Giuliani denied involvement, saying, "I had nothing to do with the handling of their records, and they were handled, as far as I know, perfectly appropriately."

Anderson Cooper's "keeping everyone honest" must apply to everyone but AC. When Giuliani said the security expenses were routine, Anderson failed to ask why then they were charged to obscure city departments. IMO this question was too obvious to be left unasked by accident.
It may not have received as much attention in our country as it has abroad, but I was personally discusted and embarrassed to hear and see on TV as I was travelling abroad, that Guiluani was in great Britian raising money for his US Presidential Campaign. It matters not that he is not the first–this is LOW CLASS !! EGO DRIVEN Politics.
America DOES NOT NEED POLITICAINS FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!!!!!!
Haven't we had enough of that?????????
Let us try diplomacy and Honesty .
You didn't handle your "other" wives appropriately did you?
Ron Paul has been married to Ms Paul for over 50 years.
Who better to lead family values than him?
Excellent on the spot reporting on Anderson Coopers part.
So that's how its going to be. You were the mayor and the person in charged but only for the things that go right. For the things that go wrong, you will find a scape goat to take the blame.
Bernard B. Kerik is far more interesting fact about Rudy's curruption.
