Adam Florzak from Illinois

(CNN) — Adam Florzak from Illinois asks: Over the years, politicians have borrowed just under 2 trillion dollars from the social security trust fund to cover these massive budget deficits and now the retirements of our generation are at risk. What will you do as president to help repay this money and restore the trust?

What did you think about the candidates' response to the question? What would you have asked? Add your comment below, or better yet, turn on your camera to record your commentary and reaction video and send in your I-Report. Your comments below or you I-Report video could be part of CNN's post-debate coverage.

Hillary Clinton should be able to answer this question, after all it was her husband, Bill Clinton that raided the Social Security fund so he could pretend that he balanced the budget. He forgot to tell the people where he got the money for that though.

couple things the country doesn't need:

Libertarians (sorry Ron Paul supporters)
Socialists (sorry Hillary supporters)
Entitlists (sorry Democrats)
Religious nuts (sorry every Republican candidate except Giuliani)

looks like we need a moderate in the White House…and there is one running….and regardless of who you support….anytime you read a negative about any candidate say "prove it" - all the stuff on Giuliani is baseless rhetoric….unprovable - its a simple question to ask …try it

How could CNN host a You Tube debate and give so little attention to Ron Paul?

He is much more relevant to the you tube audience, and this question was obviously intended for him.

Trillions of dollars spent on Iraq that is a waste! Bring our troop home from Iraq, close nonessential military bases around the globe and cut off imported oils will save our tax dollars. Conversion from petroleum-based economy to green economy will strengthen our US dollars, and bring manufactured bases and jobs back to USA. These situations will flourish our financial resources that will prop up the revenue of Social Security fund without a financial loss. We can do it, but politicians with enormous influences of oil lobby and Israel lobby prevent this great bonanza of financial innovation for our American civilization.

I so wanted to hear Ron Paul's response to this question. Yet question after question he was ignored.
Disgrace!

Bob Kepford, Caruthers, CA   November 29th, 2007 2:47 am ET

There is no trust fund. There never has been. That is the problem. Our social security money goes straight into the general budget. We need to invest our own money and quit depending on politicians.

Paul, Reno, NV   November 29th, 2007 1:44 am ET

This is what America has to fix. Our elected officals so far have proven unable to address this issue. I am fedup. I have been voting since 1974 and value of the dollar is in the toliet every man up there is responsible for the mess. The only one that consistently voted against this mess was Ron Paul. Lets bring out world class military home and stop paying 130 countries to house our troops, but spend the fund here in the USA paying down the debt and paying Americans instead of the world.

CNN is starting to look like FAUX News. Here's my question: WHY DID YOU NOT ALLOW MORE TIME FOR RON PAUL TO ANSWER QUESTIONS?

Rudy, Mitt, Fred and Huck-a-dork were asked three and four questions in a row.

I used to love Anderson Cooper but alas he appears to be a MSM puppet also.

Shame Shame CNN.

Aaron, Milwaukee, WI   November 29th, 2007 12:44 am ET

Oh goodie, a great topic of Ron Paul to answer. After all, this is a pretty big part of his campaign. He's got a great plan. Practically a soft ball!

But no, instead, Cooper decides to completely ignore Paul who is chomping at the bit.

Again, huge disappointment.

John D., SF, CA   November 29th, 2007 12:43 am ET

Why doesn't Anderson ever call on Ron Paul. CNN couldn't be more blatant in their bias against Ron Paul. Ron Paul would pay for it by bringing ALL our troops home to guard our country. He would bring them home from Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea, Japan, Germany, etc. That alone would probably pay for the debt, but he will also cut spending in a variety of areas to reduce the size of government significantly.

make a small dent by Overpaying personal taxes, and letting them keep it.

Randy, Paducah KY   November 28th, 2007 11:25 pm ET

I cant believe how Ron Paul was just IGNORED on this issue! But he was ignored a lot tonight! it is very disconcerting that mainstream media focuses on Rudy, and Mitt, and just ignore everyone else, throwing them a question every once and a while!

Give Dr. Paul more time!

Chris, Pensacola FL   November 28th, 2007 11:06 pm ET

Notice how CNN doesn't give Ron Paul the most important topics?

Yeah, you suck Anderson. Next time there is a hurricane, stay home. We'll send you the video.

aj huntington ny   November 28th, 2007 11:00 pm ET

another Youtube geek who is advanced at video tricks but will probably forget to vote in Nov. 2008 because he'll be in the middle of playing a video game

Ann ME   November 28th, 2007 10:32 pm ET

Ask Bill Clinton that question!!! He raided Social Security to say he "balanced the budget." What a fool!

Fred T Iowa   November 28th, 2007 10:28 pm ET

this debate was by far better then the democratic debate. Anderson Cooper did better although I still think he is a sell out not a journalist. It is really lame that the democrats canceled theirs. I guess it is better to offend a lot of people ( by not having it) then to offend a few by crossing the line.

Amy Williams, Roseburg OR   November 28th, 2007 10:17 pm ET

This was the one question that I wanted to hear Ron Paul answer. I can't believe how little attention he received, when his campaign attracts people because of his policy of fiscal responsibility. The others simply do not understand our economic situation the way that Ron Paul does, and for the benefit of our country, he should have been allowed to comment.
