Tonight's CNN/YouTube debate will likely be heated.

ST. PETERSBURG, Florida (CNN) - The Sunshine State takes center stage Wednesday night in the race for the White House as eight Republican presidential candidates face off in the party's first CNN/YouTube debate.

With five weeks and one day to go until the first votes are cast in the race for the White House, the stakes could hardly be higher.

The candidates will be fielding video questions submitted by the public via the YouTube Web site, just as Democratic White House hopefuls did in July.

I don't think Anderson Cooper avoids using phrases such as radical Islam. It's Michael Ware who wont' acknowledge that there's a war on terror; he sees it as American aggression only.

The real sideshow is the lame duck, Anderson Cooper. They should start out the debate with McCain knocking his lights out saying "Does this make the "so-called" war on terror more real to you?

i find it very lame that CNN decided to call Ron Paul a "sideshow" in this article. how pathetic. Ron Paul wants to give us back the freedoms that have been robbed from us since 9/11. Ron Paul also wants to revert us back to the Gold Standard and help save our economy.

RON PAUL WANTS TO PUT MORE OF OUR MONEY IN OUR POCKETS AND NOT TO OUR GOVERNMENT!

WAKE UP PEOPLE! RON PAUL CAN SAVE US ALL!
