(CNN) – Former Sen. Fred Thompson of Tennessee attacked Republican rival Mike Huckabee in a campaign video during Wednesday's CNN/YouTube Republican presidential debate. Huckabee didn't seem to take much offense.

"One thing I've learned, when you get attacked it's not always bad," the former Arkansas governor said. "Like my pastor used to tell me, when they're kicking you in the rear, it's proving you're still out front."

Well said. That explains why they bashed Hillary, but not Obama.

Exactly Huckabee...that's why you Republicans spend so much time bashing Hillary Clinton and are completely obsessed with her.

Huckabee is a great guy and I really like where he stands on the social issues. He loses me as a supporter when it comes to economics and issues like immigration. His record shows that he would be the straw that finally breaks the back of the americans. Don't be to quick to be impressed by his genuine charm. He falls short elsewhere.

I hope his rear retained some padding. They will be kicking from all directions. Huckabee, McCain, and Hunter are my favorites, and I really, really am impressed by Huckabee.

I don't want to rule anybody either "in" or "out" just yet. However, a "kick in the rear" could also mean somebody was nice enough to step back and try to help you get on track! Don't let it go to your head.

@wolfblitzercnn: Redskins-Giants always exciting. Both teams have a lot to prove. And Giants can still salvage playoffs. Skins just need a win.
