Watch Rep. Duncan Hunter respond to a question about gun ownership.
(CNN) - In a section of the debate about gun ownership rights, three of the GOP presidential hopefuls said they do not own guns: Sen. John McCain, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.
Romney, however, noted "I have two guns in my home. They're owned by my son Josh."
McCain harkened back to his military experience. "For a long time I used a lot of guns, including carrying a forty-five as a pilot over Vietnam," he said. "I know how to use guns - I don't own one now."
Rep. Duncan Hunter said he owns the same type of LC Smith, for hunting, that his father used to use.
Former Sen. Fred Thompson quipped, "I own a couple of guns - but I'm not going to tell you what they are or where they are."
In the spring, Romney described himself as having "been a hunter pretty much all my life," but his campaign then acknowledged he had only been on two hunting trips in his life, one of them when he was a teenager. He acknowledged he had shot "varmints," such as rabbits, as a child.

Romney gave the most ridiculous comment that nobody even laughed at, referring to how his son owns two guns in the house. He just added it in the last second, and it was completely unnecessary. Which was the same as most of his responses.. and when people wanted him to respond he talked around it, namely when he "answered" the question about water-boarding tactics.
Yeah, I agee with you Andrea.
Huckabee doesn't need a gun because he has Chuck Norris.
Ron Paul doens't need a gun because he has the entire population of the planet on his side.
Rudy might think about joining Mitt (or his son).
The right to bear arms is in the Constitution I agree. However, we do not recognize the right to bear a Bazooka and that is an arm. Restricting arms to shotguns and eliminating handguns like in Britain would not be a bad thing and whatever they say shotguns are arms. For defending your home, a shotgun will do just as much damage if not more damage than a handgun to robbers or whoever you are defending your home against.

I thought Mitt was a "life-long-hunter" and I knowhe joined the NRA less than a year ago...
I could say "mis-spoke" but I think liar fits better.
McCain doesn't own a gun because he has several people around him who are security guards (with guns, radios, etc) and he is protected 24 hours a day!!! How stupid do you think we are? Someone needs a gun around them at all times for protection. Leave our guns alone. Your criminals are stockpiling and they could care less about the laws anyway. Get a grip.
Yeah, limit us to shotguns, that makes sense. You can't exactly carry a shotgun around with you in public. How are you supposed to defend yourself? Just because you banned handguns doesn't mean the criminals still won't have them. I don't know how people live in states without CCW.
