I would like to see the Republicans and Democrats together defending the party system verses one of complete independent representation.

That would be a debate.

Here, I'll start on the independents side:

The President should not have a formal relationship with members of Congress, The Senate, or the Supreme Court other than that which is defined in the constitution as the proper government relationship.

So, you gutless wonders can't answer the hard questions.

Only softball questions tonight for the GOP.

With the polls showing that four out of five believe that abortion is a women's right please tell me why you are so quick to point out that you are against women having that right?
Just wondering

Where did you pull that one from? The split is a lot more like 50/50 according to the Harris pole (google it), and partial birth abortion is actually disfavored by the American people. So pull your head out of your behind.

Republicans need to address three things:
Energy – longterm goals
Taxes – fixing the capital gains loophole and decreasing taxes on those entering retirement
Immigration – Border Security followed by policy reform, reconcilliation, deportation and legalization.

Republican Candidates need to address what are your plans regarding Immigration, and will you bring the troops home. Give a time line. The American people are tired of a do nothing by the Republicans.

A cutesy little YouTube debate? Really? Really? Is this what it's come to? It's almost as if the entire process has to sink to the level of American Idol in order to get Americans interested.

How about we save the "debates" (if you can even use that word in this instance) until we have TWO, yes TWO, candidates.

THEN, we will have a debate.

Newt described the current debates as a circle of seals waiting to be fed a fish (question).

Also, why is Civics not taught in every grade K-12, rather than just one semester in high school? If more people got interested in the process, learned what it means and learned the importance of it to our democracy, I think more people would reject the tacky and inappropriate notion of "Web 2.0" creeping into the electoral process.
