Yes, it is time to reform the primary system. In the last few elections, by the time the primaries reached "Super Tuesday", many candidates were already gone. By the time we held ours in California, the decision had been made and there was not the slightest point in going to the polls. As Sharona said in Monk, "I never vote. It just encourages them."
For me, that means endorses the power of someone I can't stand. Okay. Now, then we are faced with two idiots in November, as we have been in past elections, may we feel free to blame those who insisted on the first primary vote? They want the power. Let them take the responsibility, too. However, it does raise the question--who will such a "president" represent? New Hampshire? Iowa? Nevada?
Not me!

Anne:

Wow, what biased comments. Apparently in your world teenagers are uneducated cavedwellers and anyone who doesn't do things your way is "marxist" and totalitarian".

It's also amusing that for someone who snipes at other people's intelligence, you sure don't seem to know the meaning of EITHER of those government doctrines. How about cracking open a book rather than posting online?

OP: It sucks about some of the dem candidates not cutting it. Perhaps the primary system of the '70's should be done away with?

WHAT's GOING ON ??!!!

I read "several Democratic contenders will not appear on the ballot"

"DNC invokes death penalty on renegade Democratic state party ... "

this all sounds VERY Marxist and totalitarian of the Democratic Party. Who says they'll be any better than the Repubicans?!
