Caption should read:

Clinton goes to wall street looking tired and wearing something from the George Lucas collection.

P.S. George, your new movies sucked because they are Action Films and everybody was expecting Adventure Films like the old ones. Oh well, you still got rich. Good job bud!

she says that the administration was a sleep at the wheel? but yet she barely unveils her plan, where was she months ago? sounds like she was a sleep also. After all couldn't she have proposed legislation? What a Tool.

Please ! Don't come to Wall Street Hillary . Wall Street doesn't want you;

Hide your wallets!!!

Housewife????? Hillary hasn't been a "housewife" even for one year of her marriage. What a sexist comment! I'm sure that the women in your life are SO proud of you!!!

Hillary Rodham was, is and forever will be a fundamentalist Marxist.

Bush is already doing this, Hillary or haven't you or your followers read the news recently. Again, after someone makes a decision you change a few adjectives and follow in hot pursuit.

I'm sure wallstreet, with all your financial backers, will give you a hearty welcome to make you look good. You know they only want you in the whitehouse since you owe them all the favors.

Great photo op but nothing of substance.

Hill is courting the center, coming off the wings. She's already fighting the general election. While Rudy is licking Pat Robertson's boots, Hill's talking to people who actually move things. Good on her, I say. You'd be surprised how many finance people are actually liberals, because it's a profession that requires brain power.

The Realist said: "I wonder when our pitiful 110th Congress is going to actually go to work for the U S part of us?"

I'm sure she will spend just as much time in Washingt as GW Bush did during his last election campaign–and subsequent congressional
GOP state/federal candidate campaign junkets–all of course on the U.S. (as in us) taxpayers nickel. Get real!!!
If you're comparing oranges to oranges–don't try to call the one you don't like a coconut!! Let's be fair.

Where was Hillary when I had to go through a foreclosure since I could not sell my house 2 1/2 years after transfering from one military base to another during the Bill and Hill Administration when I was in trouble. I'm sorry but I do not want any tax money bailing out people or lenders due to such bad business practices and rules. I hope America does not have to go through another Clinton bubble burst (i.e. dot-bombs).

Biggdawg   December 6th, 2007 2:50 pm ET

So Obama supporters are now believers in polls. We'll how long that lasts.

Way to lead Hillary. Stay focused on the issues.

AJ, IL   December 6th, 2007 2:44 pm ET

Instead of in Iowa and New Hampshire campaigning like she needs to do, Hillary is on Wall Street (to get main stream media attention) talking about a mortgage plan that has no chance to pass. HILLARY YOUR MORTGAGE PLAN SHOULD BE IN CONGRESS!

Do hardcore Hillary-supporters and fellow democrats realize that Hillary was republican presidential supporter between 1962 – 1968? Hillary wanted to be a Republican President in high school and college.

AJ, IL   December 6th, 2007 2:31 pm ET

All these Hillary supporters are just plain funny sometimes. Hillary issuing a plan to fix the sub-prime mortgage fisaco to Wall Street, her Presidential Campaign website, and to media outlets is just dumb. NPR ran a story previously about Bush's Administration working on a fix with the banks. Bush even came out before Hillary, talking about the need to put together a plan to address this problem. Instead of Hillary pushing her plan through Congress, she is trying to push it through the media where it will score points with hardcore Hillary supporters but has no chance of passing!

According to Hillary, deceit, political trickery, and mudslinging are 'fun' parts of the campaign. WHAT?!

When is Hillary going to take their money and distribute it to us?

J Houston, TX   December 6th, 2007 2:29 pm ET

Companies go bankrupt when they make HORRIBLE business decisions. WHY ARE WE STOPPING THIS. We are promoting bad business!

NO BAILOUT! MOVE TO A SMALLER HOME OR RENT!

therealist   December 6th, 2007 2:29 pm ET

"Hillary Clinton ventured to Wall Street Wednesday to lay out her mortgage relief plan"

Meanwhile, back in Washington, where real legislative work is usually done,

"President Bush unveiled a foreclosure relief plan that could help 1.2 million distressed homeowners. The program allows a five-year freeze in interest rates only for borrowers current with their monthly payments."

I wonder when our pitiful 110th Congress is going to actually go to work for the U S part of us?

Len, Fallbrook, CA   December 6th, 2007 2:16 pm ET

I would not allow this politician to lead me thru a chow line.

If there is money in it, Wall Street will react favorably no matter who proposes the the fix.

Unfortunately this does very little to foster any type of fiscial responsibility in the folks that signed for these mortgages.

Maybe Hillary can come up with a plan tp pay off their SUV's and big screen TV's also.

Go Hillary. Show the GOP that Democrats really are capitalists too!! We just believe in, slightly "less greed" than our GOP citizens!! Business will be better, the rewards of capitalism will be a little fairer distributed with Democrats in charge. And the concerns of our business women and men will be considered equally–with their families and the families of workers in decision making. Sounds like something we've had missing for some time now. Go Hillary!!! Give the Democrats a chance!! We sure couldn't screw things up any worse the GW has!!!

Jesse, Burnsville, MN   December 6th, 2007 12:56 pm ET

The title should have said "Hillary goes HOME to Wall Street". With all the Corporate Lobbyists donating to her, she would have to repay them handsomely if she were to win the nomination.

Me, I would rather have someone fighting for the everyday American rather than corporate interests.

Obama '08

Chris, Middletown, CT   December 6th, 2007 12:55 pm ET

How well was a candidate received who constantly touts punishing the rich and hammering the successful with 50% tax rate (afterall...they made it...and should be punished...and where did I read a similar statement....hmmm....oh...thats right – Saul Alinsky taught that decades ago....and who was his student...oh yes....Hillary Rodham...and wait...Saul was a Marxist...)

Aidyn, NY   December 6th, 2007 12:53 pm ET

This is the kind of leader we need!

A. Harrison, Atlanta GA   December 6th, 2007 12:47 pm ET

Well said La’Kitgum, NH. She is continuously in the lead of taking on issues, where everyone else including the President follows.

America, please wake up.

Alex, S.F., California   December 6th, 2007 12:36 pm ET

Keep it up, Hillary! While the other candidates attack and get desperate and cynical, keep detailing your plans on each of the issues and tackle each and every problem facing our country. It is crystal clear that you are the most qualified of all the candidates, and we are lucky to have you running. GO HILL!!

Frank, Ames, IA   December 6th, 2007 12:33 pm ET

I case you hadn't noticed DS, you haven't been coronated yet.

La'Kitgum, NH   December 6th, 2007 12:23 pm ET

Excellent. Thanks Hillary for talking issues that matter to America wearing your own skirt unlike Obama who is hiding under Oprah's skirt. Talking issues that matter is the reason Clinton will be elected. Hillary cares more about America than simply winning.

Democrats will regret the next 4 years if they elect Obama to stand against Guliani or Romney. These 2 Republicans have resumes that only Clinton's and all other Democratic candidates except Obama's can withstand. Guiliani and Romney will will hit Obama with a type of experience that he will not resist.

Some Democrats simply want to see Obama beat Clinton for the wrong reasons. But let them wait for an Obama slap by Guliani or Romney. Republican know they can get back the Whitehouse if any of the 2 candidates stood against Obama because Obama has nothing to show for experience which will be the cornerstone of Republican assault. Then Democrats will be biting their fingers having first thought the next Prez would be Democrat by hook or crook after the Bush debacles.

theinvestor   December 6th, 2007 12:22 pm ET

Rats, I knew I should have pulled some money out earlier today. Nothing kills a market rally like a democrat with plans.

Bud Fox, New York, NY   December 6th, 2007 12:22 pm ET

Wall Street huh? Well, she does kinda look like Gordon Gecko!

LeRoy, Clearwater, Florida   December 6th, 2007 12:17 pm ET

Instead of mortgage relief, how about some Hillary relief? The country can do much better than having her as the democratic candidate.

She is NOT QUALIFIED TO BE THE CANDIDATE for any party. Her experience is limited to being a first lady and a poor NY State Senator.

Dan, TX   December 6th, 2007 12:03 pm ET

Clinton and Obama are now tied in South Carolina according to the new Rasmussen poll.

Will Clinton have the guts to tell Wall Street Executives they need to sacrifice more, as Obama did?
