Fred Thompson promises Iowans they'll see a lot more of him.

DES MOINES, Iowa (CNN) – Told by a potential voter that he should campaign more in the Hawkeye State, GOP presidential candidate Fred Thompson gave her his word that he'll be crisscrossing the state by bus a lot more between now and the January 3 caucus. He added that the next time he'll be back will be December 17.

"Hey listen, don’t worry about it," Thompson reassured the woman at an Iowa Farm Bureau dinner. "We’re probably doing all our Christmas shopping out here."

The former Tennessee senator told a group of his organizers and a few reporters that starting the 17th he'll be here "just about every day" until the caucus, with the exception of "a day or two" for Christmas.

"Just when the interest is there the greatest is when we'll be here the most," Thompson added.

WHAT interest? Freddy, your campaign is, was, and continue to be a dud. The only reason you haven't quit yet is utter ego.

This isn't Law&Order. This is real life, and you aren't up to the job

Once a lobbyist…always a lobbyist. The folks in Iowa are able to see through Fred-Bubba and will act accordingly.

Mr. Thompson. I will give you the secret formula for winning in Iowa. Bash illegals and thier employers but be sure to wink at the poultry, dairy, construction, and meat packing contributors.
Bow your head reverently and profess you tolerence of all religous faiths being sure to say you even tolerate those cultish Mormons and Godless Islamics.
Go on the local hate radio show where the guy who eeked out a high school diploma will act like a college professor and throw you softball questions.
Bash all welfare recipients EXCEPT the farmers whose children get free insurance, free school lunches and pell grants for college even though thier net worth is over a million dollars.
Wave your sixgun and declare the whole shootin match is up to the NRA ( National Republican Army).
No thanks needed.
