WE SUPPORT HILLARY '08 :)

She's the only one who can actually clean up the mess left by the GOP -- NOT dreamer boy!!

Or vote Biden or Richardson b/c God save our country if the newbie gets elected = who isn't even wise enough to realize what he DOESN'T KNOW yet; let alone play pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey in the Oval Office! He should have waited until 2012 or 2016. He's only 47, but he's such a baby that he's demanding to be King now :( Sadly the great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Senator Obama is certainly NOT!!!! AND Oprah should stick with her own life and hawking her Book Club (which she can't even get right all the time either).

JUST SAY NO TO OBAMA IN 2008 :(

Tim, El Cerrito Ca says "What people don't understand is when you insult the clintons you also insult a heck a lot (his grammer, not mine) of their supporters."
Its our fault you support the clintons, or that a 'heck a lot' do?
I don't think so, you have as much right as anyone else to support who they believe in, and if people don't care for the clintons, then I see you take it personally.
Thats your problem, not ours who don't support them.
What the clintons and their supporters fail to realize that not much is being said about hillary being the Commander in Chief of our Military, even by the media, if she is elected.
Its almost like she can run and get elected President of our country, and maybe Americans will forget that she will also be the Commander of our Military.
It just seems to me that our Military members may have a vote in who is elected their Commander in Chief also, and they don't post much, but they vote.
And they need another strong leader, not one that changes and flip flops back and forth, as she did in the issue of this war from day one till present.
If you back her, fine, but there are others voting besides you and her supporters.

Obama can not bring change alone. So please stop blabbering on about how HE can do it. He would NEVER be able to control congress. He is way too inexperienced. He can't even handle his wife playing the race card when he said his campaign wouldn't.

President Bill Clinton is trying hard to see to it that his wife wins the nomination. That's fair enough. The questions are: Is this good for the Democratic Party, the US and the world? The answer is no. Hillary is venomously divisive and inspires so much hatred that she would energize the Republicans to come out and vote against her in their droves. She is very vindictive, calculative and lacks cor convictions. That is why she keeps triangulating and never takes a firm position on any issue.

The best candidate is Barack Obama. Simple. Anybody who thinks Hillary's victory is a FAIT ACCOMPLI needs to look at the facts. She will scare off independents and she is not progressive enough. Edwards is a good man but he lacks the organizational prowess.

Caucus for Barack. Vote for Barack.

Some people think that Obama has no chance facing big pharmaceuticals, while Hillary is the woman to do it.

Hillary surely knows how to mingle with lobbyists hired by big corporations. She called these lobbyists "Good Americans". They donated lots of money to her war chest.

The admiration for Hillary's staying in the marriage after Bill's lifetime of infidelity does not qualify Hillary for the presidential duties. After looking at her Senate records, I am still waiting for Bill's release of his documents for us to verify her qualifications. Bill is not at all interested in the release so he is distracting all of us with his cute stories. He is making fools out of us. He is the most disgraceful former president in history.

To all who are jumping on the president Clinton led a great economic bandwagon need to remember that it was a repub led Congress that kept spending in check. If Hillary care had passed it would have been bye-bye "surplus".

Your post couldn't be anymore wrong. Do you recall that Clinton was constantly battling with the repukes over the budget because of all the defecit spending they wanted, so much, that Clinton grew a pair and actually let the Federal Gov't shut down until the repukes ala Gingrinch gave him a budget bill that was actually balanced and fair.

Roxanne,

Thoughtful post and interesting to read your actual experience, which I haven't read from other posters.

I'm leaning to Hillary though I will continue to research.

I too, have had things like medical insurance go away for me because I can't maintain the payments and still pay back debts incurred from being unemployed last year but not eligible for unemployment.

I too wish for a more stable economy for Americans and for someone who can effectively conduct foreign policy. Bush in my opinion has been a disaster in that area.

I think that the assumption that marriages should end because of infidelity is wrong. Infidelity is human nature and has always existed. So has marriage.

I do agree that this particular story is pretty unfortunate for Hillary's campaign. I don't know what he was thinking when he gave this speech, it's terrible. Maybe his writer was on strike.

As far as what Hillary has done in legislation, it's easy to say "what has she done" without actually doing any research on it.

As far as Giuliani is concerned, everything he says is about the New York Yankees or 9/11. Talk about hardheaded, he's much worse in that category.

I'm a New Yorker who cautiously likes Hillary and does not trust Giuliani.

I also probably will have the luxury of voting for a third-party candidate that aligns more closely to my beliefs.

At least in this election there isn't someone I truly despise (like, for instance, Bush) in either the Democrats or Republicans.

It will be a very interesting to see what happens.

Hillary is smart, strong and ready. Those who can't see it are blind! We need her international crediblity to regain the respect we have lost from our friends and enemies alike. Her advocacy on domestic issues - education, healthcare, social security - tells you what is in her heart. We are a complex society with complex problems. She will take time and care finding solutions that may take more than a 30 second sound bite to explain. I trust her judgment and her intellect.

Apparently CNN is not deleting only pro HRC comments. I've been trying to get this posted but it keeps getting removed.

How many times does your spouse need to cheat on you before you leave them?
5,10, until you get an STD, AIDS?

Brendan in SA,

The only thing Hillary is entitled to is to run. We the voters will decide who is entitled to win, because that has to be earned. Speaking of being entitled, it is that very attitude (entitlement) that is killing this country. Earning is a better way to go!

I would vote for Bill right now if he could run again. Sandwiched between the bad times in the Reagan/Bush Sr. 80's and the bad times we have now with baby Bush, there was a time of prosperity when Bill was in office.

It's time for a Democrat again. Let's see what happens to the economy and the budget deficit with someone more responsible in office.

To all the enlightened, right-wing, Hillary-haters:

If George Bush can run and be installed as president, twice, then Hillary is entitled, based on her education and experience, to run and win!

You right-wingers have no respect for intelligence because you continually defend a proven mope and ignoramous!

Posted By Brendan H., San Antonio, TX : December 11, 2007 9:59 am

I can't wait till you post the experience that Hillary posseses that ENTITLES her to be President.

That wording itself says it all.

Lay off the Clinton Kool-aid and focus for a second, good job, this blog has nothing to do with the idiot Bush it is all about the lies that your king and queen are trying to put out as truth.

Billyboy blamed himself previously for the failed healthcare, now it is a badge of honor that "she tried her best" and failed.

This is known as Clintonian speak, where you speak out of both sides of your mouth, take both sides of an issue and change your positions depending on the crowd in front of you.

Someone changing their views over a period of years I can see, but second to second, speech to speech is typical of this "duo".

And for the women that support her and call her strong, Robert, Vivian, LA : December 11, 2007 11:43 am, PUT IT PERFECTLY.

I happen to admire Hillary for staying w/Bill. It's so much easier to say later than to make a marriage work. A real woman can forgive and look ahead. She has been in a marriage for how many years? How many of us can say this? You make sacrifices in a marriage. She endured. Give her credit for that. That's one reason alot of women support her. Believe it or not.

Billy boy was hopping to get dumped because he was getting some on the side at the time.

Wanted to remove the guilt complex. Oh wait, this man never seems to feel terribly guilty about his infidelities.

Bill is charming, smart, and articulate, but these kind of psuedo-magnanimous statements are getting so, so old.

Ha ha, Think Mary from Delaware would not be completely in support of rounding up white males and putting them in gas chambers? I doubt there are few things in this world that would make such a lib more happy. I bet she still likes to call herself a pacifist too.

There are some conservatives that hate gays and minorites, but that hate is no where close to the hate that libs like Mary have, it is the closest thing in this country today to the feelings in Germany in the 1930's. Yup, years may change but the feelings and views of national socialists do not.

The CBS Poll released yesterday seems to point out the lemming-like quality of the Democratic Party to support a candidate who is not going to win in November 2008. Hubert Humphrey is John Kerry is Hillary Clinton. When is the party going to realize that California and New York are not the only two states in the union? Why does the party hesitate to select the spring of its party in Obama rather then the autumn in Clinton? Why does the party covet the memory of the Clinton White House when in fact it was a failed administration?
I am a lifelong Democrat and it is time for the party to look outward down the road rather than inward to its failed accomodation of true change and growth.

"Hillary got some good news in new general election polls of New Jersey and Connecticut, states Giuliani says he will put in play but where Clinton leads by wide margins. Link."

Having lived in these states and witnessing just how liberal the people here are each day while driving on the roads (totally lack of courtesy which is a staple of conservative Americans), these people who would probably be on board with a mass extermination of every American who is a republican, would vote for Osama Bin Laden or Kim Jong if they ran for president of the United States with a little d next to their name.

"We are going to take things from you for the common good"-Hillary Clinton.

No wonder the party of hate, cradle to grave control of American’s lives, and stealing from others is in love with her.

Hillary brings something that nobody else does (DEM./GOP)...and thinking Americans understand it. Her agenda and campaign are focused: improving quality of life. This includes changing the norm that healthcare is a privilege and not a right in a world class society, the notion of family--not just moral issues--but on real problems that can realistically be aided by clarifying our societies responsibilities to provide childcare/welfare assistance to protect children--and bootstrap programs that improve education and subsequent mainstreaming into productive society. She embraces the idea that simply hoping that religious, charitible, or philanthropic organizations will somehow provide the massive catalyst needed to affect lasting U.S. societal changes--is not enough. Our government has to provide some lead, an agenda, and some financial commitment. This is an agenda for change. The difference in her progressive agenda that is different is the emphasis on "pay as you go" policy. While critics may call this "tax and spend" policies--I don't think most Americans feel that way, particularly when we squander so much on redundant and unnecessarily complex military weapons systems. Designing and redesigning government programs that are already in place--removing bureaucracy, making a commitment to funding streams to sustain the efforts. Yes, taxes may go up for a very small number of Americans in the top tax brackets, and a few corporate loopholes will be plugged so the largest will problem have to pay "some" taxes. But if our economy (businesses and most prosperous entrepeneurs) isn't providing the necessary wages and benefits to their employees to sustain the society, then the government must do something. In a time of record profits--not only are the corporations and entrepeneurs not seeking to improve this unfair trend--most are aggressively seeking off shore employees who will demand even lower wages and fewer benefits. Yep, she is the only candidate who is really progressive.

Thank God we finally have someone running who will tell the truth and not run from their past votes or decisions. For those wanting good change for this country Senator Clinton is the only one who not only has a plan but also has the intelligence and expereince to make that plan come to life. I wish that people would read The Audacity of Hope and the article in the United Christian Century to see what Barack Obama has to say. If you are like me after reading his own material I had more questions about him and his ability to run this country than I did before. With his this country needs less lawyers, yet both he and his wife still hold their license. Makes one wonder....

Seriously, did you get your doctorate from a mail order catalog? Are you practicing in one of those white jackets that don’t allow you to move your arms freely? I don’t understand how any sane person could still want to vote for her. Hasn’t she showed us enough already, or are you waiting for her to cause a nuclear catastrophe? I can see her now “If I knew then, what I know now…” Some of you people just need to get over it. Get over the race and gender issues; if we don’t get it right this time; there may not be a next…seriously!

I have also noticed CNN's willingness to try to cast doubt on Hillary and her supporters. She still has ENORMOUS support from the people no matter what the polls say. Any positive comment about Hillary is instantly deleted. I have given up on CNN as an objective source of news and info. I could honestly see removing posts that are filled with vitriol or outright slime but to remove posts that are favorable to a candidate I am supporting without any cause or reason is simply dispicable.

It's especially annoying when I read so many posts dinigrating Hillary and her service and her marriage--those are allowed but if I say positive factual reasons why Hillary should and will be elected those are instantly removed. Good job CNN for alienating and losing all of the rest of your dwindling viewers.

HILLARY 2008 AND BEYOND!

ps: Hillary supporters don't listen to the nonsense in the polls. Get up and caucus and vote to prove them wrong. She is by far not out of the race. Don't let them tell you otherwise.

Hilary's new campaign theme in Iowa may be "change" but not much from the Clintons has: "Days before his announced retirement from regular news coverage, Brinkley made a rare on-air mistake on election night 1996, at a moment when he thought they were on commercial break. One of his colleagues asked him what he thought of Bill Clinton's re-election. His answer was, 'The next four years will be filled with pretty words, and pretty music, and a lot of expletive nonsense!'"

First, I don't believe Hillary ever said "I love you and I'm not going to run for anything." More likely, she said, "I'm only staying with you because it will improve my chances in 2008 if I am not divorced."

Bill's a slob and she's a shrewd manipulator.

Can we get rid of the word "clinton" once and for all?

Coming from an Arkansan, Hilary scares the daylights outta me. They only have one child because Bill lost an election for Gov. here because he wasnt a family man, so they fixed that. And yeah? what about all the scandals while he was in office as our Gov? There is a woman out there that will be a great president, but its not Hilary.

Wow brother! That took me all of 15 seconds!

Wikipedia is prehaps the worst example of a source, anyone can change it at anytimem, whenever you want.
I could go on and make Hillary the worst person ever, easy.
I was a Jedi Knight on wiki for nearly six months just because.

to Roxanne :

Clinton had nothing to do with the economy. nothing at all. America just happened to be in an economic upswing at the time Clinton was in office.
Bush came into office at the verge of ressesion based on the Clinton Administrations economic choices.
To chose a president based on economics is both foolish and a mark of ignorance.
Presidents have no effect on the economy untill they are at the end of their term.
Edwards or McCain for '08.
If they came together as independents though.... one can dream...

My comment is in regards to the comments about Hillary not being a tough feminist because she didn’t leave Bill. I can’t imagine Hillary is a blind unseeing wife as someone has said. A marriage is a lifelong commitment. That’s not to say that you should never get a divorce but you don’t just throw in the towel. Maybe that would be the convenient thing to do, like many Americans do today. But I see Hillary as a strong women and one who is capable of working through a troubled marriage, even when it is publicized in the spot light of America. Today marriages have problems and infidelity is extremely common. Divorce is also extremely common. Infidelity is never acceptable in marriage, but I do think that working through a marriage that has been unfaithful at times is a commendable accomplishment today while much of our society just walks away from a marriage without an honest attempt to salvage to it. Hillary deserves respect for that. She did not stay will Bill because she is some helpless housewife that just couldn’t find the self esteem or self-respect to leave. I am glad that that Hillary doesn’t just walk away from her commitments, even if her team mate isn’t playing an honest game. Bill did something wrong by cheating on his Hillary; don’t think that every other US president hasn’t done the same thing. Bill did something wrong by lying about it publicly. Had other past president’s affairs been made public, don’t think that they wouldn’t have done the same thing.
