haha John, that was good but sad... no John, Bush didn't "know" about 9-11 ahead of time but he should have. The CIA was plenty worried and tried to get him to pay serious attention and even gave him a specific warning about using hijacked planes but he didn't care about Al-Quada and went on vacation, 6 months on the job.

Meanwhile the FBI was tailing hijackers in San Diego, arrested a would be hijacker at a Minnesota flight school a couple weeks ahead of time but Bush never put the FBI on notice as to what the CIA was warning him about and just never bothered to put all our intellegence and police people on alert.

We had enough to at least prevent and likely bust most of those 20 hijackers 2 weeks before 9-11 unfolded. Bush didn't know because he was too stupid to bother to know. Subsequent disasters, like Katrina etc., just kind of illuminated that is part of his "management style".

Does he think that if we had gone to Osama Bin Laden back in 1990 and simply asked what we could do as a country to help Muslims, does he think that the two attacks on the Twin Towers would never have happened? Doe he think that if we had gone to Saddam Hussein and asked what we could do to help the Shiites and the Kurds in Iraq, does he think Saddam would have never invaded Kuwait and never used chemical weapons on his own people? The more I learn of him the less I like him. Turns out, he's as liberal as they come on taxes and immigration. Also, I recently learned that he gave over 1000 commutations and pardons as Governor..including the pardon of 12 people convicted of murder. This guy may sound good but has a terrible record.
