The Clinton campaign is out with a new Web video.

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Four days after Barack Obama's presidential campaign launched a wildly popular Web video showing a former Hillary Clinton backer in Iowa switching her allegiance to the Illinois Democrat, the Clinton campaign hit back with its own online video of current supporters once aligned to rivals.

The two-minute video called "Switchers" includes interviews with several former supporters of either Obama or John Edwards, in which they describe why they decided to defect to Clinton.

The Obama Web video released Friday documented why one Iowa precinct captain decided to reverse her support of Clinton in favor of Obama. That video has been viewed more than 340,000 times on YouTube.

YouTube is a great medium where the voter looks for candidates rather then the other way around. The Hillary campaign is good at the internet. Go Hillary go!

YouTube is a great medium for getting to focussed audience. They look for the candidate rather the candidate looking for them!

Hillary is climbing in the polls ,obambi is a crybaby, she got you back big time not with just one she has so many that switched these people are for real they are iowa residents, there seeing obambi he gave a speech he attacked edwards, hes the one who is doing it, they figure it out where these false stories are coming from his campaign staff to derail hillary, axelrod just attacked edwards today…Iowa has seen enough.

I love how no matter how cheesy Clinton and her campaign get, her supporters keep right on rationalizing. Keep it up, guys, and you might be deemed loyal enough to be part of Hillary's administration!

(PS: If you didn't catch the reference to Bush, you haven't been paying enough attention!)

Susan, Houston, Texas - I think you need to look at who is on the boards of the register and then compare them to former cabinet members of Clintons staff.
The register was a pay off for previous political pay offs.

Hillary will do anything, use any means to achieve the power that she and her husband once had. they will stop at nothing.
Say what you will, the economy was good under Clinton, everyone was happy. But it was brought at the expense of 9/11 with understaffed military, intelligence sources, tying the hands of human intelligence and burying Clintons head in the sand when terrorism reared it's ugly head.

The Sudan offered Bin Laden 3 times to Clinton but he refused to take him, even after Bin Laden was wanted here in the USA. It wasn't good for his IMAGE!

I refuse to get into more debates with people. The facts are there in the 9/11 report and independent sources. I suggest that instead of playing cheerleaders for HRC, you people LOOK AT THE FACTS.

Ravi- This is free country. Just the way you are will to support fake Obama. Same way others have right to support who ever they want. You don't have to agree to us. I really pity your narrow mindedness. It is shame that you couldn't see trend with Obama. He started out taking cheap shots at Hillary for months and he became higher in polls. Then Hillary started answering him back and she started to gain momentum. Now again he is going negative on Edward because Edward giving run for his money. Trend is that Obama acts like a bull dog whose job is to attack anyone who is ahead of him in polls.

Now let me ask you: WHy Obama has never acknowledged that he does have muslim roots which is through his father. He never addresses that and instead he starts talking about 20 yrs with trinity. That is sales tactic. whenever someone talks to you about something you want to down play You start talking about what you want to up play. Oldest trick in the book. People remember what they hear the most.

TYSPOCK , COLUMBIA, MD   December 19th, 2007 10:17 am ET

This country will do well with Hillary and Hilary will do well for this country.
I cannot believe the people who get their marching orders from "HATE" TV and "HATE" radio, it seems that most of them have loss the ability to think for themselves, as you can see from some of the comments which mirror the comments on hate TV and hate radio – check the newspaper comment sections. If they were really concern about where Hillary would take this country they would really be expressing their utter discuss about where the Bush administration has already taken it - which is down - way way down ! surplus long gone, thousands of lives loss for a completely unnecessary war, 1 trillion and counting taken from our national treasury – funds that our children and their children will need to pay for, 50 billion paid to insurgents to stop attacking our troops – at least for now or until we stop paying them again, 12 billion in 100 dollar bills they claim is just missing - the list of unbelievable stuff just goes on and on and with no lessons learned from the past ; the times when we gave weapons and billions to the Taliban who were fighting the Russians at that time as well as the northern alliance ( now the current leadership of Afghanistan ) not to mention all the weapons and billions more dollars we gave Sodom Hussein during the Iraq - Iran wars – this all after the horrific gassing this administration likes to point out and those plane load of weapons Ollie gave to the Iranians during the U.S. led embargo ? – Why and what for? Were any of those weapons sent to the insurgents in this Iraq war ?. Now days our economy is in shambles, we are on the verge of a recession, this administration has been wrong about so many things that our credibility and respect around the world has been badly soiled, as Scott McCulin said he lad to lend the bush administration some credibility, Tony Snow was kind with his “somewhat of an embarrassment” remark – so Do your homework folks - then decide – because one more Bush like neo-con like administration could well do us in! Our founding fathers prevail over the most powerful military on earth because bullets will never be a substitute for the will of the people – a well informed people ! Neo-cons should return to the toy soldiers of the youth and leave the real soldiers to leaders like Hillary who will make decisions as their commander and chief worthy of the service and their sacrifices !

This guy looks like Bill Clinton's cousin from Arkansas. They dressed this guy in a shirt and tie to look like a credible supporter. Gimme a break. This guy probably never wore a tie in his life. You can find him out on the barn.

Ravi, Rye NY   December 19th, 2007 7:55 am ET

Jack, Derek, Susan, Joe and all you Hillary supporters - the scary part about you all is there is not one thing you guys and gals can say that stands the test of reason, logic, rationale and common sense as to why Hillary is uniquely qualified to be the the POTUS or why he is the agent of change. Hillary and cohorts reminds of Mark Anthony in reverse during his eulogy of Julius Ceasar - I came to Bury him instead of Praise him. Hillary and her minions innluding the lame Bob Kerry, the eunuch Shahen, the vindictive Mark Penn - they say came to praise Obama and instead buried him with insinuations of drug dealing, and being a Muslim. This woman will destroy our country and liberty. ABH - Anboy but Hillary!!

You hit the nail in the head. It was very easy to Obama gain support because Hillary wasn't fighting back. He continued to do so. Then he started acting like a nice guy. Now he is going negative because that is all he has done in the past. Sorry Obama not this time. Hillary is going to kick you back.

Derek, Keene NH   December 18th, 2007 11:55 pm ET

Not sure why Obama felt the need to create this and go negative in the first place. He claims the Clinton camp "goes negative" due to "poll results." So what is his excuse for making this first? Edwards'08 - and I'll be voting Republican if Obama gets the nomination.

Ray, New Brunswick, NJ   December 18th, 2007 11:01 pm ET

Monkey see, monkey do is a traditional cliché that popped up in American culture in the early 1920s. The American version of this saying often refers to child's learning process. The child observes another's behavior and then imitates it. This is often referred to in social psychology studies as Modeling Theory. The basis of this theory is that by observing a model's behavior and imitating it, there will be a desired learned effect. This is related to the concept of mirror neurons

Susan, do be so kind to explain to us why "monkey see, monkey do" is an unfortunate choice of words?

Jim   December 18th, 2007 10:58 pm ET

WHY CAN'T HILLARY COME UP WITH ANY ORIGINAL IDEAS??? She's copied just about EVERYTHING Obama has done. And SHE is the person some want to elect for change and a new direction?! Ha!

Go Hillary !

The University of Iowa Hawkeye Poll, released at 8 a.m. Monday morning, shows Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama in a heated battle on the Democratic side. Clinton leads the poll with 28.9% while Obama garnered 26.6%. John Edwards trails with 20%, a 6-point drop from the last Hawkeye poll in August.
Posted By Joe Stebbins : December 18, 2007 4:30 pm

Old news - Insider Advantage/Majority Opinion released a poll on Tuesday that shows Obama and Edwards tied for first place with 26% among voters "highly likely" to attend the caucuses, with Clinton on 24%. And when 2nd choices are factored in for those candidates not achieving the 15% caucus support threshold, Edwards runs away with the contest - 42% to Obama's 31% and Clinton's 27%.

Which raises an interesting question - why is Clinton nobody's 2nd choice…?

Tom Dedham, Mass   December 18th, 2007 9:46 pm ET

So obvious that this guy is a plant.

When it comes out in afew days, how are you apologists going to explain this away?

At best, she is copying the only Democrat for change, Obama.

Right Cindy just like how do we know that the one Iowa precinct captain decided to reverse her support of Clinton in favor of Obama. We all know she was a plant to look like she switched over. I can tell you no one switches from Clinton to Obama. It's like driving a Royce and downgrading to a Hydaui. We're smarter than that - we'd go Biden 2nd choice.

It is a good thing that Clinton (Hillary) and Obama have a lot of money from Americans who are struggling to survive after Bill Clinton and George Bush encouraged the off-shoring of all of our jobs. They need the money to run this type of ad to win because they don't have the content expertise to solve the complex issues we face today. Unfortunitely, the Roves, Bushes and Clintons have discovered through spending our 100's of millions in campaign contributions that negative ads works in our ADD oriented society. We are so distracted by trying to keep food on the table that the very same people who established the policies driving our economy into a downward spiral can run stupid ads and gain our trust. Enough is enough. No more Clintons or Bushes…and let's not set the bar so low that inexperienced 'players' like Obama can be taken seriously.

MarkieBee, Sacramento, Calif.   December 18th, 2007 8:42 pm ET

were any of these so-called Hillary supporters former precinct captains? If they were just garden-variety Obama supporters and were turned to the dark side I say no harm, good riddance, love to have you back when you wake up but OK, thanks. The Obama switcher was a precinct captain and that's much bigger to change that kind of vote.

J. McKinney SW MO   December 18th, 2007 8:35 pm ET

"SWITCHERS"? Sounds like the name of a weekend adult activity among those inclined to switch their partners for a few moments of unproductive pleasure. Except that these 'switchers' here are of the kiss-and-tell kind. Such superficial loyalty has no real place in a genuine campaign that is seeking to attract genuine supporters and voters. And between Obama and Hillary, the more superficial is the one that imitates and irritates! Hillary 'switched' from Arkansas to New York so she could conveniently run for Senate enroute to the White House. She never really loved New York; just used us to achieve her selfish ambition! Stop this evil, vindictive, and communist-oriented egomaniac who will do or say anything to get elected.

Cindy   December 18th, 2007 7:15 pm ET

How do we know these people didn't support Hillary all along? I am turning into such a skeptic with what is going on … sad …

TR, Minneapolis MN   December 18th, 2007 6:35 pm ET

I hope people start actually looking at the issues and making their decisions based on truth. Hillary is the one who can actually implement the change we so desperately need! Now is not the time to take chances! The other candidates have a lot of great ideas…but ideas don't really get you very far. You need strength, experience, and determination.

If you've never met Hillary yourself, the least you can do is talk to someone who has before you write her off. She's an incredibly courageous and strong-willed woman with the skills we need in our next presidents.

Hillary '08!!!!

Jason, Wilmette, IL   December 18th, 2007 6:24 pm ET

Hillary's campaign reminds me and more of Bush's 2000 campaign.

Remember when McCain in 2000 campaigned as a reformer and he seemed to threaten Bush's nomination after all the money and sense of inevitability that surrounded Bush before New Hampshire. What did Bush do after New Hampshire? He appropriated the message ("A Reformer with Results") and ran a nasty smear campaign against McCain.

Deja vu all over agian with Sen. Clinton. Now she is a "Change Agent" And do I really have to go through Shaheen's comments and the muslin stuff?

If you liked the way Bush practiced politics, then you'll appreciate Sen. Clinton's team.

kilan davidruguez   December 18th, 2007 6:17 pm ET

I was blindly leading towards Barack Hussein Obama getting excited and swept away by his very charismatic speeches. Then I saw Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton speak at Councils Bluffs, Iowa and realized what a smart and an experienced candidate she is. While obama has nice "popular one liners" that got me excited they lack insight and substance and is only fluff. Senator Clinton's arguments are filled with depth, substance and reasoning. As a life long democrat i want a candidate that can win this time. So i cannot take a chance with senator barack hussein obama as he will be easily defeated by the republicans. i would vote for obama to be a great VP. and a Clinton/Obama ticket would be unbeatable.

Columbus, Ohio   December 18th, 2007 6:14 pm ET

Just another reason why he should switch back to the Obama Team…FRESH Ideas, Outside the Box thinking. The Clinton Campaign is Behind.

Ken, San Diego, CA   December 18th, 2007 6:10 pm ET

What's silly is to think that people don't switch positions during a primary or caucus season. What's silly is that the woman who switched to Obama said she did because Hillary went negative (as if Obama and Edwards did not…). What's silly is that when Hillary goes "negative" she is jumped on endlessly by the press and her opponents — they say, "see, she is divisive…". What's silly is that when Obama goes "negative", he is "doing what is necessary" (and is given a free pass) — they say, "see, he is strong…". What's silly is that when Edwards goes "negative", his is "angry and a fighter" — they say, "see, he'll fight for you." What's silly is Chris Matthews calling strong females (including Hillary and Nancy Pelosi) "castrators" (and he can get away with this??), yet their male counterparts are "strong and demanding". What's silly is that the U.S., the supposed leader in equal rights and fair play, has never hired a female president or vice-president, yet places like Argentina, Germany, Israel, Pakistan (!), and Indonesia (and others) have. What's silly is some people not taking an honest look at Hillary Clinton because of some skewed "understanding" of her. If you care, if you really care, take a look at everyone before dismissing someone.

HILLARYLOVER NY NY   December 18th, 2007 6:08 pm ET

I'm trying to figure out why one precint captain switching sides to the Obama campaign is news. I truly believe that if this woman was that dedicated to be a precint captain, which is a lot of work because I am one and she "defected" because of perceived negativity coming from the Clinton campaign she wasn't a true supporter anyway. If you invest that much time and energy into a candidate to become a precint captain you should be devoted to that candidate and something like this shouldn't steal your support of that candidate to another. Something sounds fishy with this woman. Besides that–who actually films themselves taking down yard signs? Sounds fishy to me.

Hillary has been DUMPED on and DUMPED on this whole election cycle not from just Democrats but Republicans as well. No one is crying for her. She is just supposed to take it. When she lauches her own counter attacks–she is condemned for being too negative and she loses "supporters". I swear this woman can do no right by anyone. My support is unwavering. I will continue to support her and I will continue to convince as many people as I can to support her as well

HILLARY 2008 AND BEYOND!

Robert Bell, Jekyll Island, Georgia   December 18th, 2007 6:02 pm ET

Nice tray, but it doesn't work for the copycat.

The "switchers" are probably paid Clinton plants, anyway.

There is nothing about the Hillary campaign that is not staged, vetted, pre-screened or pre-arranged.

It is not REAL. And she just does not get that.

Like Generals prepared to fight the last war, Hillary is prepared to fight the last election. Times have changed.

We have the internet now. We can research these things with a click of a mouse. You can't just lie anymore.

Tell the TRUTH. McCain and Obama are. They will get their respective nominations as a result.

That WOULD have been good news for Clinton, except that the poll you are referring to was released at 8 a.m. Monday morning - on OCTOBER 27!

It's a telling sign about how far Clinton and her campaign has fallen when the only thing her supporters can resort to is using two-month old polls and pretending that they were released yesterday!

Tony, Mount Vernon, NY   December 18th, 2007 5:36 pm ET

I could be wrong, but I don't think this web video is about creativity, it's about picking the best candidate for President. The Clinton campain is sending a strong messege to others that would take this opportunity to showcase one person that switched away from Hillary that there are in fact several more voters that have switched to Hillary. I think the momentum is again switching to the most QUALIFIED candidate to be president. I look forward to more similar web videos that display people looking hard at this election and siding with someone experienced enough to bring about change because she has brought about change all of her life vs. other candidates that talk about change like it's just a buzzword.

So typical. Hillary has the experience message which in her mind is more effective than the change message. But, Barack shows that he is winning with the change message, so Hillary re-tools and is now the change agent herself. Don't let Edwards win Iowa b/c then Hillary will then adopt a message of being a "corporate fighter". She's competent, but so visibly power-hungry, and so fake. I'm a Dem and liked Bill C., but she's not Bill C. Oh wait - she was the face of our diplomacy, and a vital part of the administration. But, she won't release the letters detailing her involvement.

Yawn! I'm ready to move on. . .Obama in '08

It's becoming very apparent that Hillary's campaign is always short on ideas and continues to borrow from other candidates. This leads me to believe Hillary isn't capable of the change we need from a real free thinker. They seem to always wait and see what the response is to another candidates ideas then copy them. Not very original or proactive for someone wanting to be president.
