This guy is a puppet, and an elitist one at that.
Were any other candidate to have his financial backing and resources, I suspect they too could employ wonderful speech writers to force-feed them lines that market studies suggest would garner the most votes. If you truly believe this man single-handedly authored that or any other speech I have a bridge for sale in Minneapolis.
He'll never make it to a primary, his facade will be fully exposed long before then.
Though we Iowans sure do appreciate all that venture capitalist-generated money he's been spreading around our state – maybe it will help rebuild some of the jobs he helped destroy while "building a successful business".

An aspiring President couldn't have said it any better. Mitt Romney is the most intellegent person to lead our country with an I.Q. that is equal to his wise judgement. People can lambast him with his previous flip-flops on abortion, but it pales in comparison with the other choices out there. There are no pristine candidates in the race, just as the old adage, nobody's perfect. However, Mitt shines like the sun, compared to the slag heap of the others.
His speech last month on faith in America was brilliant. Even his critics admitted it was excellent. And, unlike JFK's, whose speech was written by someone else, Mitt Romney wrote his own speech. It revealed his soul. Elitists don't do those things. Knock him all you want about his money too. but remember this, he earned all of it. And now he is trying to give back to our country and spending a lot of it himself on his own campaign.

Mitt Romney is right on with his comments. Once again he shows clear minded leadership. Romney would be an excellent president.

Iraq??? This all started because we were attacked on our own soil! That's why we went to AFGHANISTAN!!! To "engage" the terrorists that attacked us yet our forces weren't allowed to finish the job. That's why both al Qaeda AND the Taliban are still running around in that country and Pakistan.

Maybe this guy's more articulate than our idiot-in-chief but it sure doesn't make him any smarter.

It is saddening to see any political figure in any country assassinated however I find it extremely annoying that too many people are making this woman out to be a saint. Anyone who takes the time to do a little research would realize that this women had a bad past which contributed to her party being swept from power by Sharif's (the leader of the other main opposition to Musharref) party. Before her return their were still charges against here which Musharreft made go away.

Bush tries to labels this as an act by islamic extremists however this could have just as well been some pissed off military or other Pakistani group who was outraged that after running Pakistan she was granted amnesty and all corruption charges were withdrawn.

Yes it is a sad day but not particularly because of who died. I consider it a far sadder day when any government chooses to cast justice by the way side just to further its own ambitions.

I find it interesting how many of our presidential candidates are reacting when Sen. Biden had previously warned of dangers of Pakistan and no one was listening. We don't need a reaction president, our country requires a proaction president. And proaction doesn't mean creating terror in the minds of people when we all know our security is a risk because we have a national failed security system. Our military hasn't stopped the terror in the mideast and won't stop it, we need to focus on securing threats within our own country. All these nonsense talking candidates have no "brass". Bring this country Gen. Petraeus as commander in chief and I guarantee he will be proactive.

Oh Mitt! Don't give any opinion on this issue because it will be changing in the next twenty-four hours or the next time you are asked ... Which ever comes first!

It is nice to see a candidate that is reminding us what this attack means. It means there are still those out there who will do WHATEVER it takes to thwart democracy and justice. It means there are still narrow minds out there that want us to believe there are no more problems in the world. Bhutto knew this. Romney knows this.

She was a curagious leader with love and furvor. She loved those who hated her, a country who exiled her. Her ideas will live on though her body now rests.

very well said Mitt! The radicals are trying to steal Islam from the peaceful followers of Allah. I appreciate that in this dialogue Mitt did not fault Islam for terror but he faults the terrorists for what they are, radical murderers, not religious people.
