I fully support Huckabee.

Some of you that call Huckabee names or make fun of his faith, show your immaturity and lack of respect for people in general.

Huckabee needs to "get up to speed" on many things other than his war "against secularists" and to "take the Nation back for Christ."

He may have idiots for advisors but he knows less about foreign affairs than I do - and I live in a city of 100,000 whose local paper had front page headlines about a local high school hockey tournament when everywhere else there was news about the assassination of Bhutto!!! (I complained to the paper but have yet to receive a reply - the news on the assassination was on page 10).

He can't just blame his advisors if he can't take some responsibility himself to spend half an hour a day online reading CNN or some other reputable news.

We joke about how pitiful the Huckster and how the democrats would roll over him if he were the nominee. Don't be so sure. Remember StupidBush when he was interviewed when he was first running and could only name the ruler of Pakistan as "General".

This election is SO IMPORTANT. Please read, research, THINK and VOTE. Don't just vote for someone because she is a woman, or because he is black, or because of which celebrity supports him or her, or because someone is a Christian or not vote for someone because his middle name is Hussein!!

On being asked about the Bhutto assasination, Hucabee commented thet there are a lot of "illegal Pakistani Immigrants" coming from Pakistan.

He does not know there are more Chinese illegals in America than Pakistanis. On Bhutto's assasination he comments on illegal immigration! Can he not just keep quiet if he has no comment to make?

GOP is still looking for some Godly inspiration regards to its nominee. Hucabee is well ahead in this game. If Hucabee is the GOP answer to their prayers then Hillary will have the Presidency sealed in 2009.

If Huckabee had only had one gaffe regarding foreign policy then it might be forgiveable, but he is on his 5th and every day brings at least one more new one. Let's reflect:

1) He did not know about the new NIE for 24 hours and only learned of it when a reporter asked him about it.

2) He APOLOGIZED to the people of Pakistan for the assassination of Butto

3) He did not know that the Martial Law had been lifted weeks ago (or misspoke which isn't any better of a defense)

4) He didn't know that Afghanistan was on the Western Border of Pakistan - he claimed it was on the Eastern Border

5) He claimed that John Bolton was a consultant of his, when the two had never spoken and Bolton is not supporting him. ( he either misspoke, yet again or is a liar - knowing him the way I do - I guarantee he was lying.)

The man is a con artist and people who support him are gullible. I too am a devoted Christian but God commands us to use discernment. Please do so with Mike Huckabee.

First Huckabee gets a terrible daily brief from his advisors which make him look silly. Then these advisors tell the press that huckabee lacks foreign affairs experience. Hmmm I think what Huckabee really lacks is good advisors. All politicians rely on a good daily briefing from a sharp staff. Lacking that they will all look bad in front of the TV cameras.

Let's just keep adding to the list of how Hucakbee is just an accident waiting to happen on foreign policy.

- Didn't know about the NIE Iran report
- Thinks staying at a Holiday Inn Express is experience enough
- Didn't know Pakistan was not under martial law anymore
- Trusts faulty news stories about America being overrun by illegal Pakistanis (fear mongering at its finest)

Now according to his policy adviser, they admit that he has: “no foreign policy credential." Don't fire the advisers, fire the inept leader. In fact his whole plan was to make this a publicity stunt to draw attention to illegal immigration. If that is what you care about Mike, why did you turn your state into a magnet for illegal immigrants? Why the flip-flop Mike?

Remind me why again this guy is even a candidate? In an age where foreign policy and the security of this nation is as important as ever, we have a candidate that enjoys making jokes rather than confronting the major issues. This time Huckabee, the joke is on you.

“Why does Rudy Giuliani get more credentials on homeland security than you do?" Because Mike, he actually takes the time to pick up the morning newspaper. (although he doesn't get a free pass just for being "there" during 9/11).

Re: Rob, Alb, NM

"Huckabee once again sounds like a democrat. They don't know anything about foreign policy either."

This is a totally unwarranted claim without base. The candidate in either race with the most foreign policy knowledge, credentials, etc, IS a Democrat in Joe Biden, who has been involved in foreign policy for many years including chairing the Senate Foreign Relations. He runs circles around every other candidate on international affairs, although McCain could give him a good debate.

If you are going to make claims, at least support your statement.

Huckabee is a lightweight ignoramus. All he can do is plug his own religion. Every time he opens his mouth on serious issues, he reveals to the world just how out of touch he is. The latest nonsensical statement about Pakistani illegal immigration to the US and the absurd implication that it raises a threat of terror is a case in point.

The Dems are really hoping that this turkey gets the GOP nomination, because in that case they can sleepwalk their way into the White House.

WOW....
He needs to be briefed on Pakistan? he can't read the newspaper like the rest
of us. Most people can spend 15 minutes online and have a little bit of knowledge of what is happening.I thought Huckabee had a clue but not now.

He sounds like he is out of touch and if he got into office he would

... what was it the inspector said in "Casablanca?" Round up all the usual suspects?

Love to see the GOP spinsters defend some one isn't watching his TV in the Holiday Inn and then proceeds to talk tough without the facts!

Illegal Pakistan immigration is NOT a problem ...and for those Republicans with selective memories, most of the 911 terrorists (Saudis) were in the country legally!

Huck has no natural intellectual curiosity - isn't interested - even as a presidential candidate about international events - he even believes the world in 6000 years old when accepted science can prove otherwise.

Sounds too much like the current Bush - no curiosity and ignore the facts to pander to the base who don't care/know the facts anyway.

Well, Huckabee certainly needs to be breifed on Pakistan if he thinks that the United States is facing trouble from "A large amount of Pakistani illeagal immigrants". Unfortunately, the organisations tracking illeagal immigrations but the number of illeagal immigrants from Pakistan in the single digits.

Can CNN confirm the story that when asked to point out Pakistan on a map, Mr. Huckabee pointed to Mexico?

Yeah its always nice to be up to sped on something before you make ignorant comments on it--does it matter what happens in the primaries? There is no way this man is going to make it in a general election if he can't even follow and understand current events. It is absolutely unacceptable for the president to be ignorant of current events, especially in one of the top two regions of conflict in which this country is involved.

This guy needs to brought up to speed on too many things...

I was going to make a short list of the things that escaped his attention, but I couldn't keep it a short one, and didn't want to spend the rest of the night typing!

Huckabee would serve Arkansas very well. Particularly if the state puts some spending limits in place and restrict his work as a judge. Arkansas is a landlocked state....out in the middle somewhere.....a good distance from our borders....where his mistakes could not hurt us much.

Somehow, as governor of Arkansas, he was able to serve as judge and jury for complex capital crimes and determine some criminals should be free. I do think Governors should govern and Judges should judge.

He may be a great guy....haven't met him, but Arkansas is where he belongs!

Oh dear....this is how we got into the current mess: an affable dumb-ass that shucks off ignorance on matters important to this country. Oh well, the Republicans are happy with their choice of the last 2 elections, so this guy should fit the bill. Plus, he's not just a reformed drunk....he's a former minister! He's more Christian even than Larry Craig!

Now according to his policy adviser, they admit that he has: “no foreign policy credential." Don't blame it on the advisers, fire the inept leader.

In fact his whole plan was to make this a publicity stunt to draw attention to illegal immigration, by their own admission. If that is what you care about Mike, why did you turn your state into a magnet for illegal immigrants while Governor? Why the flip-flop Mike?

Remind me why again this guy is even a candidate? In an age where foreign policy and the security of this nation is as important as ever, we have a candidate that enjoys making jokes rather than confronting the major issues. This time Huckabee, the joke is on you.

“Why does Rudy Giuliani get more credentials on homeland security than you do?" Because Mike, he actually takes the time to pick up the morning newspaper. (although he doesn't get a free pass just for being "there" during 9/11).

If one is naturally interested in the world around us, he or she will check on news around the world and the nation at least every other day.

I understand it must be grilling to be campaigning every day.
But other candidates have done their homework, sort of, while Huckabee hasn't. Is it too much an effort to know about people's business on Earth?

There is no need for Huckabee to have known Bhutto personally to be up to speed on Pakistan which is of International concern. Does this mean that Huckabee can't chew bubble gum and walk at the same time, if so he is limited and the presidential race is no place for him. It's not a degrace to be limited and functional at the same time.
