Talk about arrogance. This is why Republicans need to stop looking for the "next Ronald Reagan" in this guy. Reagan LOVED campaigning and meeting the people. It is what he did for a career after he LEFT Hollywood. Then his passion for politics was ignited, but he based his decision to enter into politics off of his love for people. Fred Thompson seems to lack a love for both; at least the amount needed to be president of the United States. To want to be president but not be passionate about politics is like wanting to be a lawyer but not caring about law. How dumb. Stick to acting where you can remain a "fictional hero" but stay out of Washington, okay. I don't think Mr.Thompson understands that the American people judge the level of committment he will bring to the JOB as president upon his level of passion during the CAMPAIGN. If you are lazy and have a "I could care less attitude" about running for president, then why shoud we as citizens go all out of our way on Election Day or even caucus for this guy if he isn't all that interested in traveling around to meet and talk with us?
