John McCain has seen a late surge in the Granite State.

LONDONDERRY, New Hampshire (CNN) – Following another overflowing town hall event in New Hampshire Monday, John McCain said he was happy with his fundraising numbers this quarter.

Over the summer, his presidential campaign was forced to shed staff because of campaign cash woes. But "the month of December, I am told, was the best month we've had since last July," the Arizona senator told reporters. "But I honestly don't know the numbers."

"I do know we fully funded the New Hampshire media, we are funding South Carolina as well as money in Michigan, so I'm happy with where we are at."

At the event, McCain was also asked to share his New Years resolutions — a question that stumped the Republican presidential hopeful.

After a few moments, his wife Cindy McCain piped in, "Take me on a vacation."

"Thank you! I just got my New Years resolution," said McCain, leaning over to kiss and hug his wife.

The Arizona senator will be stumping in the Granite State again tomorrow.

Well, if McCain becomes president, he and his wife will have plenty of vacation time if he follows in GWB's steps.

How many days of vacation has Bush taken during his presidency? Here's a Republican hopeful already thinking vacation and he hasn't even been elected.

That's some fiscal responsibility he displays. A show of hands from the masses who are able to slide by their boss with his reply without repercussion.

Let's see, counting his 5 and a half years as POW undergoing torture, plus months of recuperation from the Fire and explosion on his carrier, the Forrestal, I think he has earned more of a vacation than any other elected official. He is also more straightforward, having numerous times championed Bi-Partisan Election Reforms and greater ethics from our elected officials. These wimps taking soundbites out of context don't know the character of the man they speak of. A show of hands who believes that neither Chris nor Sukie have ever served a day in uniform, nor ever held a federal job. They don't have a clue of what the 24×7x365 grind of the office nor the running for office is about.

I know, John! Since you keep claiming it's SO SAFE now in Iraq, why not take here THERE! I'm sure there's some nice sunny spots outside of the Green Zone where you could take your wife.

You know…

SINCE IT'S SO SAFE.

Nancy Polowsi and Hillary Clinton in the white House that dangerous and has no balance and not worth the risk.

I HAVE A RULE ONLY ONE CAT IN THE HOUSE.

Mitt Romeny can bring that balance and he is passionate about America.

Hillary said she knew everything going on in the White house when Bill was there, well when did she learn Bill lied under oath??

Bill and Hillary Clinton are an embarassment to the United States of America and we deserve better.

He doesn't know the numbers, because they aren't there, the CFR is using the "McCain surge" to attempt to pull votes away from Ron Paul. Think about it, any other candidate wouldn't even been invited to the debates with his lousy fundraising, nevermind the poor money managing.

John McCain has done a great job during his campaign making his thoughts, ideas, and beliefs clear and succinct. He doesn't need boxing gloves, as other candidates do, he merely points out the obvious. Remember, whatever other people are willing to say and do, they will always be willing to say or do. These attacks against Senator McCain by a somewhat inexperienced politician merely to gain favor with voters clearly reinforce the obvious: John McCain is the single most respected candidate in this race and the most appropriate individual to run the White House in these turbulent times. John will bring this entire country together in consensus, as he has in the Senate. He will keep his watch completely; with trust, loyalty, honesty, focus, his epic calm and the fidelitas we admire and look up to.

Well, when he finally realizes that Americans aren't buying his reliance on a forty + year old circumstance we found out he could have avoided, maybe he'll do the intelligent thing and get out of Dodge…or Des Moines, since he doesn't have a chance in hell of winning. Then he can take his wife on a vacation and be back in time to finally do the people's business….which he was elected to do.

here is a great question to ask them all? when we all go out to eat and we leave a tip ,the waitress has to pay taxes on the tip? we are really giving her a contribution to be here the next time we eat there? Now with the Hundreds of dollars raised for a person that can spend any way they wish, why in Gods Green Earth are those funds not counted as income and taxed ? Lets ask any of them why they think this is not? and would they change it? It would be great to tax Clintons camp 50 million and Obamas Camp another 50 million that the government needs ,this perk needs to end, this needs to be treated as income and pay taxes on it period,Imagine 22% ? of that in the social sercuity trust funds

Tom Smalley,IOWA   January 1st, 2008 1:22 pm ET

Ya know ,no news station has ever asked any one running for president, that when they all want to bring the troops home and blame Bush for the war ? how would we look if a democrat would had been president after 911? would Sadam still be in power? would the terrorist been in the hundreds of thousands? would the terrorists be on the run as today being all but run out of Iraq ,on the run out of A fganistan and now heading to Pakistan? would Iran been more of trouble invading Iraq if the democrats not been as tough as bush as the Clintons last time in office and missed the chance or failed the chance at Bin Ladin

If McCain is not trying to provoke a Constitutional Crisis that could cause a Civil War or the military taking over the Government then he better get busy changing the Constitution and seeking ratification from required number of States.

I am not saying that John McCain is not a citizen of the USA but I am saying
that in order to become President or Vice President there needs to be a
Constitutional Amendment defining natural born beyond framers intent or
removing term from Constitution and 12th Amendment to Constitution.
John McCain supposedly was aware of this information listed below because
his spokeswoman Nancy Ives quotes Act of 26 Mar 1790 and on same page
of Congressional records Act of 26 mar 1790 is listed as replaced by Act 29
Jan 1795. John McCain has been aware of information for at least 4 years and
undoubtedly could have succeeded in obtaining a Constitutional Amendment
on the subject during past 4 years if he planned on running for President a
second time.

A requirement to be President and Vice President is listed in the
Constitution and requires that both be natural born. The issue regarding
President was in initial Constitution and for the Vice President was in the
12th Amendment.
The reason for both cases was to prevent someone not natural born from
gaining control of the military and is the reason given by framers of
original Constriction for inclusion of term for President which passed
without debate or discussion.
McCain was born in the Canal Zone in 1936 and the Canal Zone was leased
property like Guantanamo Bay in Cuba.
Around 2004 when John McCain was running for either the Presidency or
Senate a spokesman by name of Nancy Ives claimed McCain was entitled to
natural born status due to Act dated 26 Mar 1790 Section 1 &2 which stated "
The Children of Citizens of the U.S. that may be born beyond sea or outside
the limits of the U.S. shall be considered as natural born Citizens of the
U.S."
However, this Act was repealed by Act of 29 Jan 1795 Sections 1&2 which
does not mention the words natural born because Congress apparently
recognized that they could not change the Constitution by itself.
The 14th Amendment to the Constitution also does not mention the term
natural
born either.
So how does John McCain qualify to run for President without a
constitutional amendment removing the term natural born from the
Constitution
and subsequent ratification by the proper number of States?

We need to send the entire Republican party on vacation. It will take years to clean up the mess from 'W' and his throng of war criminals. The only thing I look forward to more than 'W' leaving stage RIGHT,is the fact that he is not leaving alone,he is taking Dick with him. So long 'W' and Dick. No need to write. I am sorry to report that we nor the rest of the world will ever be able to forget you and the harm that you have both done.
