(CNN) - Republican Rudy Giuliani announced a new ad Wednesday that highlights security threats facing the United States - one of several new television spots from his campaign that focus on the risk of terror attacks.

“An enemy without borders. Hate without boundaries. A people perverted. A religion betrayed," says the announcer in the 30-second spot. "A nuclear power in chaos. Madmen bent on creating it. Leaders assassinated. Democracy attacked. And Osama bin Laden still making threats. In a world where the next crisis is a moment away… America needs a leader who’s ready.”

The ad will run on cable nationally and in the key primary states of New Hampshire and Florida.

Rudy is a joke. A has been two bit mayor and not a good one at that. couldnt even supply reliable radios for your fire men and emt's. Ron Paul has my vote. I have better things to do than live in fear of some "AL-C.I.A-DUH" blowing me up. That is the biggest joke. Im no fool. Our CIA are the real threat and IRS extorting money out of us. What a sham. PeacE to you all. Wake up to the truth and let it set you free. Gotta love blackmail. Rudy you disgust me.

To FAIR TAX in LA, Do you realize how many people want you and your family dead, around the world and in our own country? Ever ask yourself why? Ron Paul has the answers, list to the advise of all the other comments! Ever visit Ron Paul's website or any of his speeches?

Steve   January 3rd, 2008 5:13 am ET

" A people perverted". What? Give me a break Rudy. When I see this I have to be much more local about this and see someone like yourself fit this profile.

Sam IA   January 3rd, 2008 4:18 am ET

I Love this constant harping by the hate radio crowd that Clinton somehow caused 911. He was awake on his watch and had Osama not decided at the last minute to go to Kabul instead of his camp he would have been pushing up daisies. Someone was asleep at the switch pre911 but it wasn't Clinton.
Hate without boundaries, people perverted,a religion betrayed? Hmm. I thought he was talking about Falwell and Robertson there for a minute.

Emily   January 3rd, 2008 2:07 am ET

giuliani uses 911 to show his strength in times of tragedy and urgency, which shows his ability as a leader disregarding politics completely. Though the ads are excessive, they show an important message that he can handle urgent/unexpected situations. This is what he considers to be an important factor in his campaign, which is why it is brought up so much, and its an important quality that goes above party lines..

FAIR TAX,LA. ~ Who's sick?

Bush is the one that blew off 911 by not allowing our soldiers to finish the job in Afghanistan. And Rudy still thinks that was the right decision.

Terry from Pa   January 2nd, 2008 11:42 pm ET

None of you people have to worry......."America's Mayor" is NEVER going to get the nomination. America may vote for "personability" over "intelligence", but we absolutely know FAKE when we see it. There is NO chance for Rudy after eight years of George W Bush and Dick Cheney. He is dead in the water. The real threat to us now is MIKE HUCKABEE!!!!!!!!

NO MORE REPUBLICANS PEOPLE.....FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Charlie   January 2nd, 2008 9:26 pm ET

OK, you're gonna be tight on national security and anti-terrorism, we get it. But what about all the other facets of the Presidency? By focusing so much on his strength, he's almost suimultaneously showed his weakness, which is seemingly little focus on every thing else.

FAIR TAX,LA.   January 2nd, 2008 9:25 pm ET

YOU PEOPLE ARE SICK, SICK!!
YOU BLOW OFF 911 LIKE IT NEVER HAPPENED?
HOW MANY PEOPLE DIED AND FAMILIES DESTROYED IN 911?
DO YOU REALIZE HOW MANY PEOPLE WANT YOU AND YOUR FAMILY DEAD AROUND THE WORLD AND IN OUR OWN COUNTRY?
OMG, PLEASE SAVE US FROM OURSELVES DEAR LORD!
VOTE FOR FREEDOM AND VOTE WITH YOUR HEARTS PEOPLE!!!
VOTE FOR A STRONG DEFENDER !!!

Nando,Florida   January 2nd, 2008 9:04 pm ET

Hey Rudy tell us about the COOKED BOOKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ken   January 2nd, 2008 9:03 pm ET

Don't forhet this is the Rudy Giuiani who, after 9/11, proclaimed :"Every night I thnak God for George W Bush". Strange he doesn't mention George any more, or thank God for him

Jon   January 2nd, 2008 9:01 pm ET

Mr. Giuliani: America was not built on fear. It was built on freedom.

therealist   January 2nd, 2008 8:26 pm ET

How dare Rudy bring 911 up again. These things are best left forgotten, especially since the co-president of the last administration is running for the office that so clearly failed to server the American pre-911..., hey CNN.

MS Johnson City, TN   January 2nd, 2008 8:25 pm ET

Mr. G:

You are not running in Iowa. You are not on the ballot in TN. I would like to know your strategy. If you are not what I think you are, what am I missing?
If you have so much money to waste, can you donate some to the homeless shelters in NY? It is pretty cold tonight.

Patty D.   January 2nd, 2008 8:16 pm ET

Well, the Repupublicans are at it again! Don't forget about 911! When Bush was flying around the country before 2006{ Only Red states, mind you} plaintily whining if you vote Democrat will all die, made my stomach turn. Well it didn't work then and I hope it doesn't work now. Been there, done that. The fear mongering that worked so effectively in 2004 is a sad footnote.

RB from the bay state   January 2nd, 2008 7:43 pm ET

Ru911dy, it's911 ti911me t911o gi911ve th911is 911 thi911ng a re911st.

You've milked the poor 911 cow dry................

Tim, Minnesota   January 2nd, 2008 6:58 pm ET

Rudy never even read the 9/11 Report. America's mayor? Give me a break! He should atleast have the dignity to read the 9/11 Report, especially after he made millions off of that terrible incident.

My vote is for Ron Paul, he's trustworthy and not greedy.

Independent in IA   January 2nd, 2008 6:46 pm ET

And the answer is to double the number of troops in Afghanistan? This dude is crazier than a bedbug.

He has no agenda for the problems we face here at home....probably wants to put a soldier on every street corner with orders to 'shoot to kill'. What are his plans for the economy? For Education? For health care? For veterans? For obscene corporate greed? The list goes on and on, yet he doesn't have one answer that isn't prefaced by 'TERRORISM'.

Donald, Butte, MT   January 2nd, 2008 6:28 pm ET

Rudy - Go home to NY or transplant yourself in FL!!!

We're tired of your hunchback false smile and handshakes and constant sound-bites of nothing but a noun, verb and 9/11.

Duncan, Richmond, VA   January 2nd, 2008 6:27 pm ET

Fear mongering has been one of the worst attacks on our freedoms over the last 6 years. It truly sickens me that Guilliani is keen to continue it.. how he is polling so high is amazing. How he is polling higher than Ron Paul is truly disturbing.

Matthew from Rutland Vermont   January 2nd, 2008 6:14 pm ET

What is it with Guiliani using the very rubble of 9-11 as his sole platform? Everytime this happens I hope he doesn't get the presidency.

Patrick, SC   January 2nd, 2008 5:56 pm ET

Does anyone believe this guy anymore? Stinks like fear-mongering. Not to say that we don't have MASSIVE problems with terrorism, but the real people I would trust that actually made a difference during 9/11 died in the towers saving others who were fortunate enough to get out. That and the other firefighters/policeman/medical team on the ground. Where was Giuliani in all this?

joe   January 2nd, 2008 5:54 pm ET

Guilliani 911 is your only platform!

Ian, Eastham MA   January 2nd, 2008 5:52 pm ET

Oh Rudy, don't you know I'm thousands of times more likely to die in a traffic accident then at the hands of a terrorist?

"Highway crashes killed 42,642 people last year, said Nicole Nason, administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. That compares with the 43,510 who died in 2005, according to the agency's latest figures."

But no, we should keep spending our money on wars that create more terrorists as our highways crumble.

People, Ron Paul has the answers.

Joshua   January 2nd, 2008 5:51 pm ET

Noun, verb, 9/11...talk about horrific exploitation of a national tragedy.

Chris S - Gerald, MO   January 2nd, 2008 5:49 pm ET

Are we prepared for 4-8 more years of fear mongering from the White House? Let's just be prepared for the possibility that a terrorist act may happen again, and I am sure every candidate out there is aware of the possibility too. Don't be scared into voting for any particular candidate. Shame on you Rudy.

C. L. -Ocala, FL   January 2nd, 2008 5:47 pm ET

What I find threatening is his constant use of the tragic events of September 11th as his own personal political platform. Perhaps he is redirecting the focus to make us less aware of his failures on that day and his continued faltering of support for the injured first-responders? Would wounded soldiers returning from foreign shores fare any better under his watch? I think not.

And while I'm thinking of it-perhaps he just missed the memo stating that it was a bad idea to use tax-payers dollars to pay for security for his mistress...

Not exactly my idea of a knight in shining armor. Then again, I'm not much for shock and awe.

Farrell, Houston, Tx   January 2nd, 2008 5:41 pm ET

I like this ad, I couldn't describe John McCain's readiness for the presidency better. It almost sounds like Giuliani is desperate for "another 911" to support his run for the White House using the "fear factor" which the Bush administration used to get us in the mess we're trying to get out of today.

ryan   January 2nd, 2008 5:35 pm ET

Rudy Giuliani: "Blah, 9-11, Blah, Hero, Blah. Vote for me, I'm not quite as liberal as Bloomberg!"
