Katrina, Stated it well!!! Tom Tancredo had the better record of the two, but Duncan Hunter trails only a little on the NumbersUSA report card of all the candidates regarding illegal immigration. This is their sole fight(illegals) and how it effects the American citizens. Take a look at his site Duncan HunterforPresident2008 and read his core values and look at" why you should vote for him". Don't be fooled by the polls and the "vote for the electable", the word is getting out in the media that Americans are not happy with the popular candidates and there may not be a concenses for any of them, even at the convention! It's going to be your vote!!!the "little guy" if you don't fall for the eliet bate. Go read, go vote for the real conservative if you truly believe in "We the People" I personally will not have these 4 or 5 men that they definately want! They know they can get their liberal plans through, first being no more borders(Mexico&Canada)amnesty, no matter what they say(remember a pres. veto can be over ridden!) Who will have the majority?,House & Senate,Liberal Supreme Court Justices disguised as Moderates, European law regarding eminate domain and on and on. This election may be the last time you can defend and preserve the Constitution

Donald, I feel for ya, man! You are experiencing what we will all be experiencing if we don't get the right person in the office of President - Duncan Hunter is the only one in the running who has shown that he truly knows what the threat of open borders is doing to our once free country and has acted upon it. We are losing it, people ----- if we do not wake up and wake up soon ------ Support Duncan Hunter for President. He needs all the support he can get and he is the right choice for a hurting America -- a man of integrity and wisdom with a proven track record. I and my household support and will vote for Duncan Hunter.

If we'd all do our homework and look at all of the presidential candidates it would be clear that Duncan Hunter is the only one who has not waivered on the issues. Ask yourself... why isn't he getting the media coverage he deserves? Think long enough and you'll come up with the answers.

WAKE UP AMERICA!....this man is the best candidate in the field and gets no exposure because the media has decided who will get the votes based on familiar faces....and what's sad is that mainstream America voter falls for it!....try actually learning about the issues and the candidates stances instead of who makes the audience laugh on Letterman and Leno....the current candidates are all over the board saying what will please the crowd they are speaking to, but Duncan stays true to his word no matter who is listening....a true leader who should be sent to the White House....WAKE UP AMERICA....DUNCAN HUNTER 2008!!!!

The Republican Party has been moving to the left for years now. This is obvious by the candidates running under the Republican ticket. Most true conservative Republicans do not support President Bush or the liberals trying to win the Republican nomination. The only true conservative left running for the Presidential nomination from either party is Duncan Hunter. (Note: True conservative meaning that his positions on issues have always been conservative and not changed).

For those of you who have not heard of Hunter, do your homework. How can you be supporting one candidate without knowing who else is running against them or where they stand on the issues? I have looked at every candidate running for President, both Republican and Democrat, and can tell you the only true conservatives are Hunter and Tancredo (who has dropped out of the race).

For you Ron Paul supporters, yes he is conservative on some issues but not all. He is a true Libertarian on all issues and not a Republican.

I hope Hunter stays in the race for the long run. He has large support in other states, like my home state Texas where he won the straw poll. States with a large number of delegates.

This country needs a conservative leader like Duncan Hunter.

There you go, a perfect example of a Moderate Republican, Arnold Schwartznegger, given to us by Donald. How else would someone fit in with the Ted Kennedy clan? We've all but destroyed our Republican party with letting the moderates, like McCain, Julianna etc. controll OUR CONSERVATIVE party!!! Don't know if I spelled Arnold's lasy name correctly??, but you get my point I hope. I.m not working now ( a caregiver), but what few dollars I do have to spend I'm sending some Duncans way! It's not about how much, but if everyone who says they like him/supports him sends even $5. from every blog I've been reading he'll be in a good cash flow to get out the ad's and campaign. How about one less Latte from Star Bucks, which I believe supports the Democrats. It's time now for both information, action and DOLLARS! Let's make a BIG JOKE out of the media for a change, they think they've got this thing sewed up.

Oh my misguided children--excuse me--fellow Americans.

Duncan Hunter is the true conservative. His record speaks for itself. For you smucks that live in America, come on down and visit those of us that live in Northern Mexico/The Peoples Republic of California.

The war for the United States and our CULTURE, VALUES, and STANDARD OF LIVING is being fought here in San Diego along the border. You name it we see it-

**illegal aliens,
**unfair trade practices,
**hospitals closing because they can't pay their bills since the "migrant workers" use them as their clinics,
**the finest public education system in the country 25-years ago reduced to schools overrun with bi-language, bi-culture, lower graduation rates and higher drop-out rates every year,
**polluted oceans. THAT'S RIGHT, DO NOT GO IN THE WATER for at least 72 hours after a rain storm,
**child molestors on the loose,
**I challenge you to visit the Albertson's/Vons/Safeway in Calexico (Imperial County) on the day when food stamps are handed out--autos with Baja California plates loading up and headin' south ON YOUR DIME,
**heck Arnold (the tradecoat) declared a fiscal emergency this week because the state is short $14 billion on the annual budget,
**hard working, tax paying Americans called "RACISTS" whenever they attempt to bring up an issue to an elected official at the City, State, or Federal level...

and you smucks continue to spew your ideology!

WAKE UP AND FIGHT BACK!

Duncan Hunter is the only candidate willing to take on any issue.

WHY DO YOU THINK THE LAME-STREAM MEDIA CONTINUES TO SHUN HIM...the fix is in...but remember WE THE PEOPLE HAVE THE TRUE POWER!

We need to get off our duffs and take our Country back.

Stay in the race Duncan!

Why is this guy still in there splitting the conservative vote? I really wish he'd do the principled thing now: bow out and throw his support to Romney (the VIABLE conservative candidate in the race). As it is, the conservative voted remains splintered and we could end up nominating a LOSER like Mcaniac or Yuckabee...and in Nov the party base will stay home >:o

The press has been paid off by certain entitys in my opinion. Mr Hunter is by far the most qualified for this position and I dont understand why the media would place him as an underdog.

Scrue the media...

Ditto's to all who have that same distaste for excluding Duncan Hunter from virtually all media exposure and now from the debates as well. Duncan Hunter is as close to a Reagan conservative as I have seen and Michael Reagan would know, more so than his brother Ronnie.
The first two debates I heard Hunter among the rest of the crowd, I was very impressed, especially since it was the first time ever seeing or hearing him. Then when I went to his website ( http://www.gohunter08.com/ ) and what I read and heard was very uplifting and sincerely motivating. The man is the real article and Honorable man in his marriage, military service as an Army Ranger in Vietnam, as a Congressman and even now as a candidate he is taking the high road, staying true and bending none of his principles to appease one group or another.
Duncan Hunter is a man's man, leadership every American can stand behind with faith and pride. His life has been lived in such an honorable way that he has nothing to apologize for. A life lived that is one that most people hoped to have led.

Your foolish to think Duncan Hunter will drop out when he is the only candidate that did something about the border problems!

All the other candidates I haven't heard ofwhat they have done and what I hear is what they're supposedly going to do.

He has Chuck Yeager's endorsement and has some clout to stand up to the media while they try to black him out it should make you rethink who is really controlling things.

I'm not letting Iowa or New Hampshire votes determine who's in in or out. Super Tuesday is where you need to determine those things. The math will turn because their are some voters that actually research who's who vice going on a emotional whim to be apart of a circus which the media tries to shovel at you anyways!

It's a shame that we've allowed the media to select the people we choose from. In spite of being a good man, I think Duncan Hunter is the best candidate we seen in a long time. It's too bad more people haven't looked past the media and supported someone who'd make a great president.

Way to go Hunter... If you have not heard of him, maybe you should get off of your deadbeat hind end and start researching and thinking for yourself instead of waiting fot the big net works to feed you what they want you to know...

For the networks to deliberatley excude him should make you all a liitle nervous about the control the media has over your freedom to vote and to choose.

So if you have not heard of Duncan Hunter you are a spoon fed infant of the leftist movement in this country that wants to keep you uninformed and ignorant.

Think for yourselves people, don't let people dictate to you what they want. Educate yourselfs for a higher truth of freedom and diplomacy...

The only true conservative candidate in the race. That and the fact I refuse to let the liberal mainstream media dictate who I should be voting for. This race is still not over, many people are still craving a Follow the Law , honest, America is not the whipping post for the world candidate. A change still can occur, Duncan needs to get some louder vocal cords though. Go Man go!!!

Kaks, you just keep amazing me! Great intelligent comments, but alot of these would rather not be confused with the facts. Join NumbersUSA if you're against ILLEGAL immigration. Oh for some of the Californians...maybe they should give you back to the Mexicans like they're giving land to the Palestinians, compromise everything for peace and make the pacificts happy! I lived in the Central coast/wine country and the term "Fruits,Nuts and Flakes serves a great portion of the state!

Thanks Kaks you said it well!!! I also am ashamed of people like Rush and Glenn Beck with so much media power, knowing Hunter's a true Reagan conservative and the only one who fits a "true conservative" like Rush champions and not say hardly a word. You would think they would be shouting it from the roof tops. Makes you wonder??? I know Glenn has become a Mormon and Mormons support Mormons, but Rush? Don't forget the David and Goliath story, it's not about money or power, it's about who God allows for this hour. One for peace, one for chastisement, will definately get what we deserve!

What a scarey future...with comments like Brian's "if we knew him better we might see he's a good candidate", you would think an intelligent person would check the facts regarding ALL candidates in a presidential election! There isn't one front runner good for America, good for the LEFT, but not America! Let the Socialists and corporations tell you how to vote and get ready for the European Union you will soon belong to. Oh while you're checking facts why don't you check the Executive orders made by Carter, Bush senior, Clinton, GW Bush, you'll be surprised to know it's all about to be taken away anyway. With Marxist professors why should anyone be surprised how our younger generations think, and to think we paid for their brainwashing!

I never here anything on any news stations about Duncan Hunter. He recieves very little air time, why? I had to find him myself on the web. I did catch the first couple of debates that he WAS in and I agreed with everything he said. I could actually sense that he was speaking the truth, and put things into a reality check. I would appreciate a NEWS STATION to provide me and you with true, real, news! I don't care to be shocked or suprised with tabloids or media hype. The NEWS should have journalists not the poporatzi. My vote also goes to Duncan Hunter as my first choice, Fred Thompson my second! I believe that these two would be strong leaders for our country, especially in these times. As for the media, they get an F in my grade book! I hope that they plan on bringing that grade up!!!

I am a registered Republican and a Conservative. I have been saying all along that my vote is going to Duncan Hunter no matter how many times the liberal media tries to convince me otherwise. I've done my homework and believe his principles and values mirror my own. I think he'd make a great leader and the others pale in comparison.

Stay in and win Duncan Hunter ! It's about time this country has a solid, good man to run it ! You have INTEGRITY, Mr. Hunter, among many other good qualities, and that's something this country DESPERATELY needs. The moral and social state of our country today sickens me to death, and I'm only 33 ! This country NEEDS DUNCAN HUNTER. I would be proud to call you President, and I can't say that I am proud of any others. You have the values that our FOUNDING FATHERS had, and that is of utmost importance. All my support, Erin

Duncan Hunter is the only person I would vote for at this stage in the game. Tancredo was the one person I thought could save this country. Hunter is the only other person I think can do the job well. Everyone else has already shown a past that is frightening.

Duncan Hunter is a solid man-gets things done-built the fence between California & Mexico. He is authentic-he maybe a little rough around the edges but he has military credentials and character and cares about keeping U.S. jobs and our military edge. Obama, Clinton, Edwards? Empty suits. McCain-a liberal as is Giuliani. Romney-a flip flopper. Huckabee-a Clinton/Bush clone. Duncan Hunter for president. Read his positions on the issues.

Duncan Hunter had the most conservative voting records. The sheeple who watch the 'news' from the broadcasts and CNN believe American Idol is important and they spend time trying to vote for a winner. Why not educate yourself, and once that is done adequately, discuss with intellect your views and why you support a candidate. Given the idiocy of the American public whose opiate is the television and youtube I'm not surprised that the most popular but least capable pols are getting their shot to be POTUS. Wise up.

Hunter/Thompson 08

The media should be ashamed of their actions. No one should be excluded in the Presidential race. Americans should decide their choice, not the news outlets!

Duncan Hunter is one of the true Conservatives in the race!

Brian,

Don't be sorry about not knowing who he is. Check him out just like you would any other candidate. When you find who you like, then just get behind him and push him onward.

There's no shame in being ignorant! The shame is STAYING ignorant.

Hope we can get you on Duncan Hunter's team!

Yeesss! I am so happy that Duncan Hunter has not given in to the drive-by media to fall out. The race has just begun and I can't imagine why anyone would think that Iowa and New Hampshire voters alone should determine who are the candidates for U.S. president. Hunter fits the bill for president with no qualifications necessary.

It is unfortunate to think that the media is unduly influencing presidential campaigns. The voters should be the agents of influence not the media. Duncan Hunter is one of the most reliable and best conservative candidates for president, yet the media will not give him the time of day. I am still baffled why conservative leaders did not come out in support of Hunter early on. If they had, he would probably be the front runner.

Conservatives should vote their conscience, not who they think will win.

Why should Duncan leave the race? Until one of the other candidates garners enough delegates to put them over the top, then there's no good reason for any of the candidates to leave the race. If it comes down to a brokered convention, which is a real possibility, then you want to have as many delegates as you can muster in order to have a say in who becomes the nominee.

Duncan Hunter is a brave and honorable man who is not intimidated easily. I am proud to support him as the only candidate running who actually has a track record of doing what he promises. Check out his record and you will see that he truly is the best man for the job. Contrary to most of the politicians in public office who seem to sway with the breeze of trend, Duncan Hunter sees the big picture and will lead the country back to greatness restoring international respect for the United States in the process. Go Duncan Hunter!

Duncan Hunter's father was a WWII veteran. He passed away at the age of 90 a little over a year ago. Someone sent me an email of that hero's obit this morning. It is far too lengthy to post, but it says he became successful in construction after the war

This part of it will tell you what kind of stock Congressman Duncan Hunter comes from:

His patriotic senses, however, were troubled by the
direction of the nation, which he felt was acquiescing
to Communist aggression in Korea and China. Packing
the Hunters up, R.O. moved the family to Washington,
D.C. There, he walked into the headquarters of the
Republican Party and announced, "I'm Bob Hunter and
I'm going to give you a year of my life and we are
going to turn America around." The Party Director, Ab
Herman, asked R.O. to return next week. Later, he
confessed to Bob that he had "checked up on him." "In
Washington, nobody just walks in and volunteers to
serve the country without pay and with no angle," Mr.
Herman told Bob.

Bob Hunter, however, did just that. Working with Mr.
Herman and his friend, Congressman Pat Hillings of
California, Hunter put together a television studio
and hosted Republican members of Congress who wished
to make weekly T.V. reports for their districts.
Hunter's patriotic ethic of serving America beyond the
call of duty was displayed regularly for the ensuing
50 years, in which he served as a candidate for U.S.
Congress, Republican Central Committee Chairman, Local
Chairman for Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon and Barry
Goldwater and as a volunteer and contributor for
dozens of campaigns. "When there was a Republican who
needed help, Dad would load us into the station wagon
and away we would go for precinct walking," said
daughter Bonnie.

Duncan Hunter is a good man with good ideas, but in politics today it does not matter how great your ideas are, it's how much money you can raise.
Rep. Hunter has a son that has done 2 tours in Iraq and is going to be going back over for a 3rd. I believe that alone should put him in the spotlight. Unlike other politicians that say they support the war with only words, Rep. Hunter's son stood up and answered the call like his father did before earning the Bronze Star in Vietnam.
We need a family of heros leading this country not talkers.

American people should not elect a president just because that person is different. A person being just different does not bring a change. That itself constitutes recognition of differences due to colour, gender etc. etc. The appointment of current president was also done on the recognition that he could be related to common people. If we need that then we might as well ignore, qualifications, experience, and past records in the appointment of any government position. I do not think Obama has the experience or past achievements that Hillary possesses. If people think that it is high time that we appoint an African-American, then it is also the high time that we appoint a woman as the president. That should not be the deciding factor when you vote for a president.
Experienced people would know that howevermuch you tried, you can't please everybody, and you can't bring everyone together. Only a naive, inexperienced person would dream a utopia of that nature. An experienced person would say the things as it is, since that person knows the true difficulties that await ahead. But the problem is that the majority of people love to hear someone attempting to bring these impossiblities.
The president should be capable of many things. The most important one is the ability to sail forward against adversity. Only the experience, past achievements hone the ability of a person to tackle problems of a country. That president should be someone other countries can recognize as a powerful leader.
I believe that Hillary is the best in this regard. Obama is the best as the vice president so that he will get an opportunity to gain more experience. By not letting Hillary win this election, American people will do a huge mistake for the second time. By electing Obama as the choice of Democratic party, Republicans would have a higher chance of winning the presidency.

There were 3 reasons for shutting the candidates out of the debates:

1. Duncan Hunter is the liberal media's worst nightmare. Most of my colleagues are liberal, and they want their candidates to win, just like you want yours to win. If there is anyone close to being another Ronald Reagan, this is the guy, and my media friends would rather not take that risk in the general election, thank you! These other guys are seen as easy to beat.

2. Today's programming choices are based on what makes "good TV." Duncan Hunter has no controversial background to uncover. No dirt. No flip-flops. Consistently conservative voting record on all the issues. The other boys all have something to hide which makes them "interesting", i.e., Good TV.

It's quite simple, but it sure isn't good for America. Don't give up. Boycotts are effective, esp. boycotting the sponsors (and be sure to TELL the sponsor why).

Support the shows that are fair, and write complaint letters about the ones that aren't. Each letter you write counts for many thousands of viewers' opinions. And then quit watching them, so their ratings go down.

In the meantime, good luck to your candidates that got axed for the sake of Good TV over the welfare of our country.

Duncan Hunter, from what I've learned, is a true statesman in every sense of the word. Many Americans haven't recognized him yet, because they've never seen one before. If he stays in, I think they will.

When Hussien Obama, Clinton, McCain, Huckabee, or any other candidate owned by the Council on Foreign Relations is elected, the American people will have yet another excuse to complain.

The complaining will be the result of not educating themselves on the candidates, their records, what they have accomplished and what their voting records are. Loose several million more manufacturing jobs. Reduce our military another 25-30%. Amnesty for tens of millions of illegal aliens and the stress created for the middle class. A few more 'free trade" agreements will take us down several more notches. Vote for the above and it's a vote for the CFR.

There will be weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth. The liberals will be praying for a conservative like Duncan Hunter. They will beg for a patriot American like Duncan Hunter.

If the American people can take their eyes off MSM, sports and other drivel, listen to Lou Dobbs, Glenn Beck and a few other journalistists with a degree of integrity, our children and grandchildren might have a chance of achieving the American dream.

Go Duncan. He's won the Texas straw poll, not to mention Arizona which is on the verge of becoming part of a third world country.

Hang in there Duncan. We need you and your sons.

Clearly, Ron Paul is a nut job.

Only a nut job would believe that We the People can be responsible for our own actions, that a sound fiscal policy is vital to the health of our economy, and that the government that governs least governs best.

Call me "Nut Job".
