MANCHESTER, New Hampshire (CNN) – CNN's Sasha Johnson reports that Hillary Clinton's campaign aides - who 'disappeared' in Iowa after results came in - are coming around to talk to reporters. She and CNN's Candy Crowley report the crowd at Clinton's primary night party has been chanting "comeback kid."

CNN's Crowley also reports that the Clinton war room is 'excited' now - they say they're seeing 10 -point swings in districts they thought they would lose, and think dispatching former President Bill Clinton to Hanover today was a good move.

Love you Hillary, keep up the good work, I am 80 and would love to see a women president before I die.

WHERE DID THE GOP STUFF GO??

claire kaufman   January 8th, 2008 11:32 pm ET

Tell Hillary there is a large supportive group of women, aged 40 plus in Las Vegas ready to caucus for her. Don't lose hope and be sure to visit Las Vegas in the suburbs of Summerlin and Henderson where intelligent women know what she has done in the past years. Experience does count and what does the prime opposition know about foreign politics or the world in depth.
Sock it to 'em or him Hillary. We women know your strength and will support you.
Sincerely,
Claire
"See you at the caucus

Relax people, Clinton is going now where with this thing.

We will be flying with colors to SC and Nevada tomorrow...

Change is coming, it wont be forceful but slow and assured.

I want to count the number of angry and severely frustrated Clinton fans on here by the end of the tallying.

Go Senator Obama...Congratulations. I want to be the first to say this cuz I see it coming.

To be elected as President of United States of America – are the thresholds whether one is a man or a woman, a Christian or a Muslim, black or white?

Read the constitution!

If you are looking for a country of equality – how can you possibly elect and defend your election based on any of these merits.

It does not matter whether you are a child bearer or not. That is not a plus nor a minus. If you make it a plus in itself - consider turning it around for a moment... you would most likely find it completely absurd if in today's America you were told that a woman should not be elected for any reasons related to her sex.

T. Coslett   January 8th, 2008 10:37 pm ET

I'm sorry, I never saw Senator Obama as a viable candidate.. whatever the different ideals are between him and Senator Clinton, Hillary's so not a "rock star" or a wanna be preacher.. trust me the people who go see Obama are awwhhed by him ...sorry though those thousands of people WILL NOT SHOW UP to vote period... Now I and sooo many other Hillary supporters now all his babbling can never trump the Hillary Factor!
Keep on Keepin On Hillary!!!

P.S. CNN I LOVE YOU BUT YOU GUY'S EARLRY TODAY, SOO WERE SAYING HILLARY WAS NOT DONE WELL..AND YOU WERE SO ALL ABOUT OBAMA EARLRY.. I AM EMMBERSSED FOR YOU BUT MAYBEY YOU WILL LEARN YOUR LESSON.. I WILL LEAVE IT AT THAT LOL
I STILL LOVE YOU WOLF AND ALL YOU GUYS.. BUT YOUR BAD

Herman   January 8th, 2008 10:36 pm ET

It does my heart good to see that all the blather and babble by the so called "experts" and their projected 10 point lead for Obama (never have I seen so much swooning over an empty canvas as I have over Obama) has all gone down the toilet! Fortunately in New Hampshire, the people have decided that they are the ones that wil make the decision, not the pompous "analysts" that supposedly know how we've going to vote! Sorry Wolfgang, go back to square one!

Ruth   January 8th, 2008 10:33 pm ET

I am very happy to see Hillary taking the lead tonight. And yes it IS important for a woman to be president. It's been a long time coming and this IS a historic moment. I can't think of a better man or woman for the job.

I wasn't worried at all how the media predicted tonight would come out. I haven't listened to network so called "news" which is so biased it's not even funny, for ages now.

I knew she would do it and she IS going all the way to the White House!! I agree a win for Hillary IS a win for us all!!

Candid Democrat   January 8th, 2008 10:30 pm ET

Democrats are currently punch-drunk with polling numbers and a celebrity candidate right now. With Obama, Clinton, or in the unlikely event, Edwards as their nominee, the next President will be John McCain if the GOP nominates him. Voters will elect more Democrats to Congress, and they will reward the Republican POW with the White House. Voters want change, but they want to make sure that one party does not control both Congress and the White House, more.

Congressional Republicans effectively emasculated many of the key, contrasting issues that Democrats had in their favor after gaining the congressional majorities in 2006. No Child Left Behind is stalled, alternative energy tax credits were killed, and the reauthorization of SCHIP, the children's health insurance program, is now delayed until 2009 so that it is far less of a campaign issue. Those are only a few. The public blamed the Republicans for the Iraq debacle in the 2006 elections, but it is now no longer the number one concern — the economy is. Both parties are bearing the blame for the public's economic concerns.

As far as the White House goes, the biggest issue currently remaining in Democratic arsenals is that "we aren't them". Well, true, Democrats aren't. John McCain can make the argument that he isn't either. I think the Democrats have a much harder haul to Pennsylvania Avenue than they did 12 months ago, and it will grow only more challenging as the campaign ensues.

GO Hillary!! At last we have a woman who has the courage, compassion and brains to lead in a society who may finally remember That WOMEN are over 50% of the population. In the words of Jill Ruckelshaus:
"We are in for a Very Long Haul
I am asking for everything you have to give.
We will never give up...
You will lose your Youth, your sleep,
Your patience, your Sense of Humor
and Occassionally....the understanding and support
of people That You LOVE very much

In Return, I have nothing to offer you but...
Your PRIDE in being a woman, and
all your Dreams you've ever had for your
daughters, and nieces, and granddaughters.

Your Future
And the Certain Knowledge, that
at the end of your days you will be
able to look back and say that Once in
Your Life , You gave Everything you had
FOR JUSTICE." Jill Ruckelhaus

Independent for Hillary   January 8th, 2008 10:28 pm ET

Go Hillary! I am glad that the voters in NH are rewarding experience. May the most qualified person for the job win – that's Hillary! She not only has the intelligence and determination to show strength in the face of attacks but she also has the humanity to show her emotions. It's about time for our President to show that she feels for the people and this country – there is nothing wrong with that. Showing empathy is not being weak. If you want to play the woman vs. man game, then let's see how many men could endure pregnancy and labor without crying? I bet it they had to carry the children we would be an extinct race. There is nothing wrong with a little emotion every now and then. I do not doubt that she will be strong enough to do the job.

Shane   January 8th, 2008 10:25 pm ET

It was interesting to hear Donna Brazile comment on Hillary's "moment of humanity." A moment! Wow, what a breakthrough. That people finally get to see the "real" Hillary after all these years. How about someone who's has the gumption to be human all day every day.

Barack Obama 2008!

tabitha   January 8th, 2008 10:22 pm ET

I am loving this! Even a small win by Brack will be welcome. The media empire had already counted her out! Go Hillary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ann   January 8th, 2008 10:22 pm ET

Hillary's hair has been an issue for her entire public career. She used to wear headbands, and people hated them. I loved what she said the other day on the Today Show. "When I do my own hair, I'm criticized."

Isn't that the reality today?

We may be the obvious smart candidate, we may have the best work record, we may have proven ourselves......

but still....we're judged on our hairstyle.

Richard Paulson   January 8th, 2008 10:20 pm ET

Go Hillary–as a Park Ridge native, where you lived and went to school, I have followed you and cheered you on. Your experience, poise and charm have
stood beside you in the past. Keep it up. Do not give up. Obama is big on change and promises of harmony, unity and reform–but so, so short on achievement, experience, and specifics.

Go for it Hilliary–you deserve the nomination of the Democratic party and a chance to lead this great and wonderful country.

Oh, and please bring Bill along. He may be helpful

David   January 8th, 2008 10:19 pm ET

What does being a woman have to do with anything? Or Obama being black? The fact of the matter is that Hillary is part of the Clinton/Bush political dynasty that has been in power since 1976. She's already postured us for military conflict with Iran. She's a liar like her husband and she's ready to sell out the left like he did. These returns in New Hampshire are remarkably disappointing. We should kick them out of the country.

Kris   January 8th, 2008 10:19 pm ET

Ridiculous how easily people can swayed by a quivering voice to a bunch of reporters.

Fran   January 8th, 2008 10:17 pm ET

A win for Hillary is a win for us all!!!!

J. McKinney SW MO   January 8th, 2008 10:12 pm ET

Thank God! I hope this keeps going the way it is so far. We need Hillary! Go, Hillary, Go!!!!

Bob   January 8th, 2008 10:12 pm ET

Lets hope Hiillary beats Obama. It will make him get more specific, and less
preachy. There is no experience for experience in politics and the President is no place to be on a learning curve.

Judy Grundfast   January 8th, 2008 10:11 pm ET

I've been watching Hillary's returns and am very excited to see her doing so well. I have a few suggestions for her to insure future success.
1. For G-d's sake, change your hairstyle. (Take a note from Nancy Pelosi's style.)
2. Talk more about your childhood and years B.B. (Before Bill )
3. There are a lot of women pushing 60 (including me) who have waited for a woman to run for President since the Ferraro fiasco. I am convinced Obama can't maintain for the long haul, and I am just as convinced that if you show who you really are, emotions and all, you will pull away and take the lead. We don't need another male President, so please don't try to be "One of the Boys". Let everyone know how proud you are to be a WOMAN!
4. Not everyone is an Oprah fan!

J Williamson Buffalo, NY   January 8th, 2008 10:08 pm ET

A win here for Hillary – even by 7 or 8 votes – will be seen as a dramactic comeback – even outshining Bill's 1992 showing (second place) which earned him the "come-back kid" nick-name. The press buzz had Hillary well out of it and Obama with the nomination is his back pocket. Well, stop the presses folks – this is exactly why politics has been called the king of sports. Say what you will about the Clintons, but they are tough and they are smart – and they are not quitters.

Syed Badrul Ahsan   January 8th, 2008 10:06 pm ET

Hillary Clinton should be winning NH. As a foreigner living outside the US, I feel she remains the best prepared of all the candidates, Democrat or Republican, to be the next President of the United States. It will be a terrible disappointment if Barack Obama edges past her in NH tonight.
