Watch Obama react to Bhutto's death

Watch Huckabee and Giuliani meet at a polling station.

MANCHESTER, New Hampshire (CNN) – Mike Huckabee and Rudy Giuliani may be fierce competitors in New Hampshire polls, but the two Republican candidates shared a friendly moment this morning at a Granite State polling place.

Huckabee and Giuliani, swallowed up by their respective hordes of trailing photographers and reporters, made overlapping photo-ops at Brookside Congregational Church in Manchester.

As Giuliani and his entourage were walking to leave, the Huckabee media scrum arrived. The former New York City mayor sauntered over to say hello and wish Huckabee good luck.

"May I have your vote today?," Huckabee joked, his wife Janet at his side.

"I don't think either one of us is voting today," said Giuliani.

Huckabee quipped back: "Same day-registration."

Giuliani hopped into his black town car with communications director Katie Levinson.

Huckabee and his wife poured Dunkin' Donuts coffee for shivering early morning supporters gathered at the polling place.

"Would anyone like the future First Lady to pour them coffee?," Huckabee asked them.

Huck doesn't have my vote...yet...but may before this is all over. I just wanted to say that he showed compassion and class today with his remarks about giving Hillary a break. Candidates get on the campaign trail and get exhausted and hasty in their remarks toward one another and his statement was genuine and nice. He has not let the pressure of the race make him forget how to be a decent human being.

Be careful Christians!

If you are going to vote for Huckabee because of his religious affiliations I have a warning for you:

His religious proclamations and glittering generalities are just as much a show as his claim to be a conservative.

Take it from someone who has seen his leadership. (Arkansas native here)

You will not be happy with what you get in the Huckster. He will not represent Christians or our country well.

Obama is one of the few candidates that is a non-secular Christian and not in a secret society. He is Americas' best hope to continue a path that its forefathers founded. It has been winning a battle that Europe lost long ago to secular religious institutions which breed disenfranchised false, idol images and self worship or no worship at all with hypocritical boxed mentalities thinking in circles.

Hillary has worn some very peculiar pendants on her lapel that may make one question if she is in the secret society orders. maybe it should be investigated to see if she is in a secret society as Bill is suspected by many to be in Freemasons as well. and it is no secret the Bushs' are generational Skulls & Bone subgroups of FreeMasons which include the upper level controlling subgroup of demon worshipping spirit peddlars.

God bless America when Obama wins, God help the world if Hillary or the Republicans win and blocks the leading nation that is light for a better world socially and economically.

I am amazed at how often the term "Christian Right Wing" is declared and denounced! If, as some say, Hillary invented the "Christian Right Wing Conspiracy Theory" to help her husband win his elections, it is still obviously being used to turn up distrust of evangelical Christians in general and to actually question their right to speak out or in any form participate in the "Great American Experiment....i.e. democracy and its elections!"
You know, it is quite interesting how the term "liberal" has become attached to those who are to the "left" in the political arena. I say, interesting because the word "liberal" in its core meaning, is not too often found in the comments of those who claim to own it.
Dictionaries say that "liberal" means "free from prejudice or bigotry, tolerant": open-minded.", "marked by generosity:openhanded, broad-minded."
As I read all the comments that preceded my own, I noticed concern (rightly so) that Barak Obama not be wrongly considered to be a Muslim when in fact he is a Christian, that Romney's mormonism should not be factor, but somehow there is this huge departure from bigotry when it comes to evangelical Christians! As if we have no right to express our views when they differ from yours, and that we have "no brains" (to you, Mary) if we do not believe as you do re. the origins of the Universe (even evolutionists often disagree and later bring forth different theories on this subject!), and you also say we are an arrogant and blindly ignorant mob!
I think, Mary, you probably call yourself a "liberal." Wow, with such prejudice, bigotry and intolerance, how can you use that word for yourself!
Fortunately I do have friends (self-proclaimed of the "liberal left") who are not bigoted and intolerant. But that seems to be more the exception these days.
If your views are to left, that is your privilege as an American. And if my views are to the right, that is also my privilege as an American.

And I would love to have a cup of coffee from any future first lady, Hucabee's wife, Obama's wife, or even Hillary's husband! Especially if it is Dunkin Donuts! My favorite!

Let's all give one another the chance to be American, to hold to and express our own views while at the same time upholding the right of others to hold and express differing views! Let's enjoy participating in this great American adventure of electing a new President! I'm not sure yet for whom I'll vote in the Primaries or in the General Election. Yeah...still undecided! Sorry, Mary, but I do have an excellent brain and it is working very well!
P.S. to Majicatt Just remember that a uterus and what is in it are not synonomous; during an abortion, your uterus remains intact (hopefully). What is in it, does not.

Uh Oh! Looks like someone doesn't understand the theory of evolution.

Not only is evolution a theory, it's also a fact. There is nothing to "buy". Facts are the world's data. The worlds data (i.e. fossil record) show the changes that occur in populations of living organisms over time. The fossil record shows that Humans evolved from ape-like ancestors that existed around 7 million years ago in the late Miocene epoch. Ape-like....get it? Not monkeys that you see in a zoo today.

The theory of evolution is a way of explaining the facts in front of us. Most people don't understand that a scientific theory is not an unsubstantiated guess or hunch. A scientific theory is a systematic and formalized expression of all previous observations, and is predictive, logical, and testable. Facts do not go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's, but apples did not suspend themselves in mid-air, pending the outcome.

Please educate yourself.

It's amazing how Huckabee's campaign style has become so much more sedate–and intellectual in New Hampshire. Mabye he is trying to be more of a "yankee" for the caucus there.

Clearly, he is not the same "glory of Jesus, jazz musician" we saw playing to the farmers in Iowa. So–who is Huckabee?

Meanwhile–John Edwards, passionate, still on message–unwavering courage is nipping at the heals of the alledged top dogs.

If you want to know how Obama is on the issues. Why would someone want to review a spun, polished, overly edited site run by political spinners? Do your own research. Look at his voting record. He has voted with the Republican party on some appalling items. (Sorry Republicans.) I'm a 20 year Democrat and would vote for all of the Republicans (except 1, again I apologize to the Republicans) before I would vote for Obama. Dems go ahead and scream at me. I know it's a sin to have an abortion but when did it become the same for Democrat not to support Obama.

...   January 8th, 2008 2:08 pm ET

If you are willing to believe everything negative that you read regarding Huckabee you must be willing to believe anything. You can find much more disturbing allegations about Hillary and her corrupt husband than these silly "facts". (Do you really want to look at the list of criminals the Clinton's pardoned?!) The point is that whoever you are biased towards you will give the benefit of the doubt, or at least look the other way. Whoever you are biased against you will assume is guilty of any "news" story accusing them.
I know it is hard not to let you personal feelings determine who you vote for but I am trying to not get caught up in the hype and do as much research as I can. I am a Christian (not a Baptist) and I like Huckabee because he seems like a genuine person. I know that he will be demonized by people because he is so open about his faith. But I'm not going to let me impulse to defend him for that reason cloud my judgement. I am also looking at Ron Paul.

Jason NYC   January 8th, 2008 2:02 pm ET

I would rather vote for Roscoe P. Coltrane for President than Huckabee. They are both small town, simple minded, crooked, bumbling fools, but at least Coltrane never pretended he was anything else. Plus he has Flash.

Glen, Boston, MA   January 8th, 2008 1:53 pm ET

If you would go to Obama's website under issues, you would see that he has a very large array of specific initiatives to answer the question of "how" he is going to change government.

If you simply watch the news clips, obviously you are going to get the impression that he is just a fired up speaker. Educate yourselves before buying into the hype – for or against a candidate.

While many have commented on this already – there cannot be enough outrage expressed over "disservice"'s bigoted, childish, fearmongering comments above.

Obama is not Muslim. Even if he were, being a Muslim does not mean one is a terrorist or that one seeks to impose his / her worldview on others.

Also, if having a certain name means something, perhaps we should arrest Frank Bundy, the guy working accounts receivable for General Motors. He might be a mass murderer!!!!! Run away! Run away!

The article never mentioned that Bill Clinton was there.

Eric-Houston, TX   January 8th, 2008 1:32 pm ET

1. I'm pro-Giuliani, but it boggles the mind to see how Barack is being unchecked–Bill Clinton is right. Here's another question someone should ask the good Senator: "What exactly have you changed in your public service career?" Probably absolutely nothing. The whole "change" candidate thing is a farce. And like Bill Clinton said, why unchallenged on Iraq? Who cares what Obama would've/could've voted on without the benefit of any intelligence information! What did he base his "decision" on? I could go on, but this is about Rudy.....

2. I wish Rudy were a little more energetic/charismatic on the stump. But I'm guessing his staying on a narrow message and emphasizing larger states (I guess the "50 state strategy" means general election?) in the primaries is part of a reasoned out plan, so we'll see. A month (until Super Tuesday) is a lifetime in politics, and Rudy's got a lot of money in the bank!

Bud   January 8th, 2008 1:12 pm ET

Fair tax, biggest tax increase on the lower and middle class. You pay 24 % more for gas, milk, car, everything. It would kill the ecomomy lead to further housing slide as the mortgage deduction is gone.. Huck wants to bring his ethics of destroying government owned hard drives, getting money for speeches while gov., trying to steal furniture from mansion and when that doesn't work he sets up a gift registry. Lies about having a theology degree goes after Mormons and Catholics. This guy will be killed in a general election if the press ever went out and showed all his violations. Pressures the parole board to release a violent rapist against the victim's wishes and then the guy goes on to rape and murder.

Majicatt   January 8th, 2008 1:10 pm ET

I agree with the comments above about Obama' s lack of experience. He's a voice of hope and change, but he doesn't have the connections or the know-how to get it done. I've also had enough of the right wing Christians and their values voting. The above, and the fact that I refuse to vote for anyone who think they can tell me what to do with my uterus, are why I'm voting for Hillary Clinton.

When exactly did Obama get a free ride? For the last 6 months he was the candidate behind Hillary, he's been accused (wrongly) of being a muslim as if that itself were a crime, he's been called inexperienced, despite the fact that he has years of experience in the Senate, in the Illinois legislature, as a political organizer, as an attorney, law professor, and head of the Harvard Law Review, (compared with "Wife of the President/candidate" for most of Clinton's professional life.)

Mate, you're the reason why so many people in the rest of the English-speaking world think Americans are so dumb and everyone else just plain hates you.

The scary part is that you can appear so ill-informed whilst adhering to the rules of English grammar. What kind of reading have you done and how do you support your arguments? Barack Obama is Church of Christ isn't he? Is it just the name that bothers you? My wife's maiden name is Hussein so does that make her a Muslim? I scarcely believe that you seriously believe what you've written here. In Australia we call that codswallop (look it up).

Mary   January 8th, 2008 12:00 pm ET

Huckabee truly scares me. Only Hillary is as obvious in her two-minded answers to every question. Huck says "no, religion shouldn't be an issue in a political campaign" and then he runs ads as a Christian Leader and unabashedly imposes an obvious white cross in another. It would be fine if he acknowledged the truth but this so-called preacher denies the religious messages openly. That is double-mindedness at it's worst. Then he calls Romney dishonest. Why can't people see what is so clear? I don't think I every truly appreciated the arrogance and blind ignorance of the evangelical mob. It's becoming pretty clear now. Any group who truly believes that the world was created in seven days and dinosaurs roamed only 3 thousand years ago cannot be understood by people who actually have brains.

Is anyone ever going to ask any of these candidates exactly how they expect to 'change Washington'? It's easy to talk about, but how? We're electing a president, not a king/queen/dictator. This leader will need the cooperation of the Congress and that vast bureaucracy that actually runs Washington behind the scenes. It's not in any of their interests to change anything. So, how? Making pretty speeches? "Bringing the people together"?—whatever that means. No, we're being sold an illusion, a lie, and we should know better.

obamanation   January 8th, 2008 10:47 am ET

Although I dont agree with the comment previously mentioned regarding Obamas religion or middle name. I can not disagree with the argument that most voters you ask don't know his stance on important issues. I dont see a flawless candidate on either side of this election, but I think to vote for one merely because Oprah says so or Chuck Norris says so would be one of the worst things the people of this country could do. Voting is a right, and in order to keep that right, I believe people should research their own candidates. Mainstream media is hurting this election, on both sides of the aisle. It's time for people to stop following the masses and start making educated choices. Who that is in 08', I'm still not sure

Obama's middle name can only be an asset. If the world sees us elect a man committed to listening, demanding change, inspiring action amongst the apathetic, a man of multiple racial origins with a middle eastern name, that is a bold stance against fear. That builds a bridge.

The only way forward is for humanity to come together.

Huckabee and Gulianni voters should vote McCain to help get Romney out of the race.

Nobody wants someone in the race that is going to cast negative ads like Romney is doing. Bush did it in 2000 and 2004 and he definitely wasn't the best candidate and look at the mess we are in now!

Romney will not sit well in the General Election. He is too pro-corporate America and a lot of Americans won't like the idea that he used so much of his own money to finance his campaign. Romney is the Republicans weakest candidate at winning in November against Clinton or Obama.

He can't point to a record of accomplishment so he talks about bringing people together and giving people hope. The media has forgotten their job! They are responsible to inform voters of the differences between candidates, not to endorse or support just ONE! As they have with obamaboy!
**CNN last night Lou Dobbs said they polled the young voters supporting obama (which is how he is winning the recent caucuses) NOT ONE COULD SAY WHERE HE STOOD ON ANY ISSUE?? With the country at odds with so many foreign countries, it is horrifying to think of Barrack “Hussein" Obama (Muslim) running our country. You think we are in trouble with bush/Chaney!
ROCHESTER, New Hampshire (CNN) – A group of about a dozen anti-abortion protestors interrupted one of Barack Obama's New Hampshire rallies Monday night. The group shouted in unison, "Abortion is abomination," forcing Obama to pause in the middle of his speech. When the noise erupted, Obama first paused and looked up into the balcony where they were standing. They were escorted out by police. Before leaving the room, one protestor yelled, "True change is ending abortion!" Change has been a major theme of Obama's campaign.

@wolfblitzercnn: Redskins-Giants always exciting. Both teams have a lot to prove. And Giants can still salvage playoffs. Skins just need a win.
