kruger, if you think the teary-eye chokey-throat schtick was authentic, I trust you bowed before Her Majesty at the wax museum. When candidates defy the pundits, they go into the balloting firm in their conviction that they will prevail despite the odds or the prognostications, or both. Hillary and her husband were instead making (a) light of the primary's importance and (b) excuses for the loss. That's called a set-up. It set up Hillary as underdog, so that the story of her victory would not be just another story of a primary win, but instead a BIG story of a SURPRISE BREAKTHROUGH! This sort of thing happens all the time in expensive elections; you can even trace the provenance of the various set-up "plays" to particular consultants, with some of whom I happen to have worked. There were all kinds of manipulations in that primary, but was it "rigged", like CNN's GOP "debate" in Florida? Nah. Not really. Nothing like the '60 NH primary was bought by Joe Kennedy. That was clear-cut. Things aren't about fat envelopes these days; favor-trading and patronage jobs, sure, but mostly they're about who's better at manipulating the major U.S. media, which long ago gave up attempting journalism, along with any pretense of objectivity. You may think these comments partisan. They're not. It's still a great and lovable country, and its system of governance works in spite of the politicians and their fixers.

to all the clowns who say they the elections in NH was rigged, I say this - get a life. You folks make me sick. Her win in NH made the political pundits and the likes eat their own crow. To me this is fair and square. Stop whining. Infact it is the likes of Chris Mathews, Tim Russert et al who had injected the race issue. Add to this list the boyish looking but venomous Tucker Carlson and Mikha Brezezinsky. The latter was tolerable for awhile and now this woman thinks she has earned her right to talk ill of the Clintons. She is just as arrogant as her old man Zbignew Brezeznsky. Of course I am waiting for the day when Tucker Carlson is made to eat his other shoe. Of course this was the famous episode on CNN's "CROSSFIRE" a few years ago and after that he was booted out and then the program was discontinued. It is so very clear in my memory. Was a great day for me watching Tucker Carlson's face.

Now, maynard. Just because the answer to all three is Yes, doesn't mean that you should pose loaded questions. Shame on you.

Worship Hillary Indeed! Cast your spent condoms at her feet, your recycled hemp to carpet her way! Bow down! Prostrate thyself! Spare not the seed that brings human desolation to the Face of our Mother Gaia! Let not Nature be denatured by the unnatural natures of the ones not Her creatures! For the High Priest Munchausen of Oslo has prophesied that this generation of the Time of Buum and Ur will see the Incarnation of the Mother so long awaited! Behold, Gaia's Vulcan belly is in heat! In the New Solar Year She will come at last, bringing judgment upon the soldier and the banker alike, and restoring to the Sacred Place the holy trade in carbon indulgences! She will disclose to us Her merciful intent for the perfection of our bodies in Her Likeness, and give unto us the sacred blueprints of the Temples of Prius and Gyna, that both breeder and Sapphist might enjoy the Blessed Sacraments of the Turkey Baster and the Loving Dispatch of the inconvenient! It shall be Her pleasure to cool the waters and bring Accord to berg and burg!

This is so fake. Mrs. Clinton Knows it. This was complete setup to get attention in the media. Oh My God......... I want to cry, well Hilary did. I'm a democrat, if she wins the nomination I would vote republication first. The campaign is so dirty with their tricks to get votes. I want to marry you, huh.? Who thinks of these crazy punch lines.

The shouted proposal was markedly friendlier than an incident in New Hampshire Monday, when a man yelled at her to "Iron my shirt."

"Ah, the remnants of sexism — alive and well," Clinton responded then.

An no one is able to connect the dots that this was a perfect set up for Hilary to have planted this person so she can play her gender card which she does as well as she plays the tears?

Well, " hell ary " oopss my bad! Hillary has to remember that it doesn't take a woman to act and/ or like a man to be a "strong woman"..... being iced cold, frigid and faking your emotions don't make a woman strong. Maybe deep inside she never accepted herself as a woman or had trouble dealing with her womanhood, remember she said while in college, she was the one who approached Bill, not the other way around. Now the question is what do we call a woman who take the initiative of going after an unknown man???? Maybe her failure in playing fully her role as a suppove woman sent her husband into another wonan's hands.
Did she really forgive Bill ? is she still married to him out of guilt ? is Bill just fighting her battle this hard ( jeopardizing the love and admiration American and the World have for him) to give her the White house and de facto get her " forgiveness"? If she doesn't elected as president will she still be married to Bill? She need to do a serious introspection before defeat turns her into an implosion.

John, Scotland, United Kingdom January 12, 2008 5:19 pm ET

The democrats are in danger of throwing the general election if the Clinton and Obama camps -and their supporters- don't calm down

You are absolutely right. But for the Clinton supporters John we are fighting for the respect of not only this great woman but the for respect of the democratic party. No one can honestly say Obama is the one. We can't stand in silent of this.

Clinton will boldly take us to where no man has been before. clinton 08

During Clinton's regime, the world has a very high regard for the United States. The economy was on the rise... so and so... Sadly, the world's view of America changed for the worse. I would love to see the old America again, reason why I would go for Hillary. Change is not bad, however, a tried and tested experience counts more. Change has drawbacks- uncertainties. But, if change is coupled with experience, you certainly have something.

The kind of experience that Hillary Clinton brings to the table is " more of the same or worse". She is a lightening rod for all that is wrong with Washington , and every time Bill opens his mouth , its another vote for OBAMA......."thank you Bill".

Obama has a track record of crossing party lines and bringing people together to find solutions , and SOLUTIONS is what this country needs.

Hillary-ous!!! As a female, I find this type of gender pandering as simply pathetic.

I want a woman one day as President. But one who can make us proud that she earned her status on her own merit. Not on her husbands name, his experience, and her tears. Hillary is not the right woman for the job. We have many better women to choose from in this country whose last name is not Clinton.

More than anything, I am amazed at how illiterate these Clinton and Obama supporters are. It is sad that so many people cannot properly spell simple words or construct simple sentences. Are you REALLY this illiterate, or is this the result of the text messaging craze?

It is really annoying to see these type of comments. I am sure you paid extra attention to your spellings since your were critizing others. I don't think people been graded on expressing their opinion.

Just relax!!!

I agree w/ you John, Scotland, United Kingdom. For myself - I am beyond words. I know I shouldn't let anyone of this Obama bs get to me but it does. To me its the principle of it all. Obama is not good enough to run. He shouldn't have run. Had he stayed out maybe Biden would still be in. Which we all know all tons more experience. The media playing with minds is unbelievable. The weak minds. Die hard democrats are not playing into anything Obama is saying. If you read the blogs the more he speaks the more people become convinced he is just a broken record. As an american I cannot keep quiet even though I agree with you sir. As we speak this is beginning to unravel and the democratic party is doing nothing.

Doesn't everyone see how foolish it is to make a news story out of what someone heckles? It just encourages other people to do it, which then gets reported on, and we the voters are missing out on what the candidates say about real issues.

The democrats are in danger of throwing the general election if the Clinton and Obama camps -and their supporters- don't calm down. There is no doubt Obama ia a brilliant, inspiring orator and is hugely exciting for this reason. There is no doubt Hillary has experience coming out of every orifice. Furthermore, there is no doubt America and Americans need change.
But what would they do as Commander in Chief ? How will they embody change ?
The issues must be at the forefront in deciding who can deliver what America needs right now and for the next few years.
The cynics and conspiracy theorists need to step aside and allow for constructive
and detailed debate on the issues most important to Americans, as opposed to hi-jacking message boards with posts one would expect from High School students.
This election is not about Black v's White, Woman v's Man. It should not be won by the candidate with the most catchy slogans or with the best comic response to heckles.
America votes: choose carefully. The World can't wait forever for you to get it right.

Edwards doesn't belong to bug companies, NAT, but he belongs to the Council of Foreign Relations. So, Edwards may have the illusion of a good cnadidate, but he truly doesn't. He has little experience and he is the deifintion of a democratic pushover. He always follows the democratic party and never follows his own beliefs. That kind of weakness is unacceptable in any president.

Ron Paul 2008

and kucinich isn't that bad. just because he saw a ufo doesn't have anything to do with how he is as a president, Kris. He actually has good values and stands up for the American people. You should look him up too.

i'm a minority living in Pennsylvania (a black young guy who goes to college) and i think the best candidate now is Edwards - he has no relations what so ever with any of the big companies - drug and oil so IF he gets elected i think he might and WILL do something about cooperate America greed that is going on unchecked ravishing the middle class right now. But since he hasn't accepted any money from this BILLION dollar companies, he is GREATLY underfunded. So who is the NEXT best thing?
OBAMA? come on people this is a guy who is willing to talk to people like Chavez and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who openly have called America "the dwelling place of the devil". In other words, he is willing to COMPROMISE with people like these- people who deny that the HOLOCAUST has ever happened. COME THE HELL ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So although i can't vote for the primaries, I will be more than HAPPY to vote for HILARY on the general election. AFTER SHE HAS WON THE PRIMARIES that means.......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To all the African Americans out there do not forget that no president (other than Lincoln, of course) has done more for the African Americans like Bill Clinton. Which by the way won him the honorary African-American title.

IT IS NOT WHO YOU ARE (black, white, man, woman, gay, staright) IT IS WHAT YOU HAVE DONE???? WHAT HAVE THEY ACHIEVED??????

I can't remember one thing Obama has claimed to have achieved other than saying: ' I AM THE ONLY ONE WHO OPPOSED THE IRAQ WAR"........ although he wasn't even in the SENATE at that time...............good one there Obama.......haaaaa

i'm a minority living in Pennsylvania (a black young guy who goes to college) and i think the best candidate now is Edwards – he has no relations what so ever with any of the big companies – drug and oil so IF he gets elected i think he might and WILL do something about cooperate America greed that is going on unchecked ravishing the middle class right now.

4 Reasons why Hillary should NOT be the democratic nominee:

Hillary Clinton might win the nomination, but there are a number of problems with selecting her:

(1)Recent polls have shown that 50% of the country won’t vote for her in the general election under ANY circumstances, so she’s already playing on a really short field. It’s tough to win if half the country has turned its back on your candidacy and you don’t know for sure if you have the full support of the other half.

(2)The republicans want to run against her because they have 20 years’ worth of dirt against the Clintons to regurgitate in swiftboat ads during the general election.

(3)She needs independents to win, and Obama polls better than her with independents in general election match-ups.

(4)Bloomberg’s group, Unity08, has made it very clear that unless the parties nominate candidates that are NOT polarizing, they will place a very well-funded independent candidate (i.e. Bloomberg – who has up to $1 BILLION to spend) into the race. In other words they will throw in a SPOILER. Bloomberg is Ralph Nader X100. Hillary is the most polarizing candidate in either race, and she’s the one who 50% of the country won’t vote for in the general election, and who has a greater problem attracting independents – and the polls show this is in a two-party race WITHOUT a spoiler. So, the presence of a spoiler in the race is going to hurt Hillary (i.e. democrats) the most. Given these facts, I think Unity08 has been formed to stop Hillary from becoming president.

I think if democrats insist on nominating Hillary, we will for sure be in for 8 more years of republican rule.

If you believe this guy was genuine I have so much stuff I want to sell you.
Good Lord, have these people absolutely no shame. This guy is obviously as a plant hoping to generate the male interest in Hill.
Clinton Inc. must think we are all turnips that fell off the truck last night.

Obama supporters are hilarious. It is sad to see how much you fall for speeches instead of focusing issues and policies. And now you take Kucinich - the man who saw a UFO - seriously.

Hey everyone! Just wanted you to consider another strong candidate. Just take 5-10 minutes and your vote may actually change. Look up Ron Paul at Wikipedia, or ww.ronpaul2008.com. Against the Patriot Act. Supporter of gun rights. Never voted to raise taxes. Against Patriot Act. Against Real ID Act. Against IRS. Graduate of Gettysburg and Duke (has a masters). Delivered over 4000 babies. Voted against war. Wants states to decide on abortion rights. Acclaimed by Ronald Reagan. Flight Surgeon in military. Look him up. You'll see that he stands for America more than any other candidate.

There were 27 delegate votes to be had (22- earned; 5-at large) in NH. At the end of the day Edwards had 4, Clinton had 12 (9-earned; 2-at large), and Obama had 13 (9-earned; 3-at large). Check the record and do the math.

Hillary is a member of the council on foreign relations. So are most other candidates except Ron Paul. These people care more about other countries than America. Do your research people. I used to be a blind democrat and follow the leader but now actually care enough to research the person that wins my vote.

news wire- 12 Jan 08
“In exit polls of voters in last Tuesday's New Hampshire presidential primaries, people in both parties named the economy as their top concern, including 38 percent of Democrats and 31 percent of Republicans. Of those citing the economy, the most votes went to Hillary Rodham Clinton for Democrats and John McCain among Republicans — and each won their party's contest.”
The economy is getting worse, and that favors Hillary, whose plan echoes the successes of the Clinton years.

If anyone would know, Hillary should know whether sexism is alive and well. She lived with a sexual viper for over 35 years. Who's she kidding??? The stories from her campaign are becoming revolting because of their plasticity if nothing else.

Thank you Tom Davie!! Wow a post that actually makes sense!

Clinton and Obama need to explain what, besides Iraq (the issue de jour) they are going to do with our foreign policy. How about dealing with China, Russia, India and Pakistan, not to mention fundamentalist countries such as Saudia Arabia where, the irony is we buy their oil to drive our cars but they don't allow women to Drive IN S.A. This is really messed up. We should be boycotting countries that continue gender apartheid.

To Queer Planet-- Please weigh in all the man-made disasters when spewing your population overgrowth (overblown) figures. The REAL problem is delivery of food and water resources to the populations, not just the limited resources. Try dealing with corrupt African governments like, um Mugabe and Kibake. Think about the Tsunamis, earthquakes, mudslides, terror attacks and wars that kill more people than we can count.
