Barack Obama has had ample time to call attention to it, to investigate, to call for an any investigation but has not. Barack Obama has stated publicly that he is an advocate for Hispanics but this discrimination continues in his own state despite him being placed on repeated notice. To date nothing has stopped this form of discriminatoin against Hispanics such as myself and he has full knowledge and understanding.

Since Clinton didn’t get the endorsement of the union…she’s willing to support a legal challenge to suppress your vote. Wake up people….if she’s willing to do it now….what else is she willing to do to get elected. I don’t want to see her get the nomination because she has too much baggage. Half of the country is against her from the start. And the Republicans will spend the majority of their time trying to start investigations into whatever. I just want a fresh start with someone positive. Obama takes hits because of inexperience….but the fact is he has held an elected office longer than Hillary. He’s been in the trenches fighting for civil rights and labor unions. He got my vote and if Hillary wins the nomination…I won’t vote in the General Election.

Jan – Have you ever thought that maybe experience is what corrupts a politician? I think Obama speeches are fabulous. I stayed in and watched the two hour debate yesterday and feel that each democrat had "their moment"...I don't vote on what's popular but what is right and that is how I feel about this election.

People shouldn't vote on an ideal, a movement without action. Words are words. Action is action. Insightful knowledge, best practices, and a solid record are very important.

Im in California and we rocked last night in sacramento!!! We sat through a night with Bill Clinton and watched the debate from Hillary Clintons new headquarters in down town sacramento ! As The night went on Bill Clinton was to go over to UC Davis to speak to a crowd which was to be about maybe 500 people who call them self's The Youth For Change but....... as the night went on we started to hear that the crowd had grown to 3000 supporters and when the debate was over and when Bill Clinton arrived at UC Davis the crowd was so large they had to be turned away ! The Crowd was estimated at 10,000 people it was like 5 football fields long of people ! so i think this is much better then a newspaper endorsement ! wow what a night ! California is on Fire over Hillary and it seems as though the youth are standing behind her.

When US Senator Barack Obama stole Caesar Chavez's slogan "Si Se Puede" or "Yes We Can" in a a self serving speech to Local 226 in Nevada he did not mention to the Hispanic/Latinos in America or in the crowd that he is condoning Hispanics in his own state of IL being prevented from filing race discrimination charges as we speak. The fact that Barack Obama will say and do anything to win Hispanic votes is bad enough but to use a man's words who can no longer fight for his people is disgusting. When Obama uses that powerful slogan of Caesar Chavez he is insulting those Hispanics that know for a fact why they can't file race discrimination charges in Illinois such as myself.
If Caeser Chavez were alive today I believe he would tell Barack Obama to his face "Yes WE (Hispanics/Latinos) Can Say Race Discrimination!"

The same thing happened when Barack Obama spoke at his own rally. He stopped talking, gave her his water and did not start speaking until she was OK.

I have done my research and found out that Obama have more than ten years in legislative experience both from from his stay in state and US senate. Clinton on the other hand has about 8 years of elected experience, so my question to the readers to help me make up mind is, as a first lady what kind of experience did she gain during those years? Things will never change. I agree with reader "Scared for our country”, concerning non-objective and unbiased journalism. Unless politically aligned (property of a political party) a newspaper should relate the facts and eventually explain things without interpreting. How can newspapers credibility stand if it endorses a specific candidate or party? I'm so sorry I can't be out there this weekend to help Barack Obama's message of "Yes We Can" be heard. I unfortunately have to work and will not be able to go as planned.

I trust that the Democrats will rally together and select their choice in their nomination to the best of their ability.

Although I am a devout supporter of Barack Obama, I would gladly stand with any of the other candidates in the race for the White House.

My reasons for supporting Obama stem from his inspiring vision to bring us into the political dialogue again. His commitment to straight honest talk with the American People. I make the case that all the candidates are great choices we all know this. However, why not choose the candidate that inspires you to believe in America's own self worth again. I like the Idealist. Sure the realist sounds safe, but we have the opportunity to dream and hope for something better. Hillary has too many enemies (ie Republican enemies). Obama is the candidate who can bring the three major parties together, to actually have some resolutions and progress in the relationship between the Executive, Judicial, and Legislative branches of government. Right now nothing is getting done between the Democratic-led Congress, the Republican fillibusters, and Bush´s Veto pen. What we need to remember is, who is the best public face for America? Who do we want to be? Who´s face and words do we think best represents us, as an entire nation of 300 million people? And most importantly, who do we trust? Who has the best "vibe"? In my opinion, Obama is the most articulate of the candidates, with the most diverse background. With his unique perspective and grounding, he can bring this country together, and restore our respect in the rest of the world. Who is the one candidate who can represent ALL of us Americans? Who is the one of the few candidates who actually experienced poverty, racism, lived in a single parent house? Knows how it feels to be on food stamps? Hillary came from a rich family, and although she had "sympathy" for the civil rights movement, and does have a good perspective on the world.. its too divided for her between Republicans and Democrats. Republicans aren´t bad people, Democrats aren´t bad people. Both parties need to start working together, and Obama´s unique vision can make it happen. Obama 08!

Has anyone heard the outcome of the lawsuit filed by Clinton's people to prevent the union workers on the strip to caucus? Doesn't seem like a very democratic stance to take to try to prevent citizens from participating in the voting process.

When “nobody” runs against her, “nobody” starts with 40%. And “nobody” didn’t even have to campaign. “Nobody” spent no money in this race. “Nobody” didn’t even run one add. What happens when you add John McCain or Rudy Giuliani in place of “nobody”?

As democrats we have to think long and hard about nominating a candidate who is so divisive. We shouldn’t spend these preciously important years ahead re-fighting old fights or addressing political grudges. If we are what we say we are than we must love our country more than this, and choose a leader who can bring Americans together. Our society’s needs are too great, the time to pivotal, for anything but fundamental change backed by broad-based support from the American people. Senator Obama proved in Iowa he can do this, and nobody proved it on Tuesday.

Those who posit that newspapers don't take or should not take sides have little understanding of the difference between the news reporting of a news paper and its Op Ed or Editorial. A newspaper's editorial can in fact endorse a candidate while its news coverage remains objective.

Other than sleeping in the White house next to Bill Clinton, how much experience does Sen. Clinton have over Sen. Obama? If sleeping with the President counts as experience then there are and have been a lot of experienced people out there possibly even Marilyn Monroe.
She went to the Senate a few years before Sen. Obama. He is experienced in terms of getting invovled with his commmunity and not just at election time. None of the candidates have presidential experience. This is about electing someone who can unite and represent the whole country ,not just the wealthy.

Obama has experience. He worked for years as a community organizer, a civil rights attorney, a constitutional law professor, a highly respected state senator for 8 years and a U.S. Senator.

Learn to have some respect.

Hillary has few, if any, of Bill Clinton's political gifts, yet still carries most of the baggage, as proven by the polls that consistently show 45-50% of the electorate dismisses her out of hand and will not vote for her under any circumstances. Why anyone thinks that makes her highly electable is beyond me.

The LVRJ is correct. Barack Obama has the best shot at not only winning against the Republicans, but also winning by a big enough margin to actually be able to govern effectively and advance his agenda.

Above all else, Obama will make a great President. He's got the judgment, integrity, character and leadership skills that are desperately needed.

A winner will always attract winners that the saying folks...

Bill was a fine president and Hillary an okay first lady. (It concerns me that she stuck with Bill after what he did, obviously for political reasons, instead of tossing him on the curb like she should have, but that's neither here nor there.) But even so, wouldn't it be nice to move FORWARD? Hillary is nearly as divisive as GW, as much as I hate to admit it.

It does not matter how smart, intelligent somebody is , he needs to have some experience. United States is the biggest country in the world, whoever has the presidency needs to able to govern the world. So, you all need to think about it before you make a choice. Speech is one thing, reality is another one. To be the president of the United States you need to be able to act quick , fast and with accuracy in some situations. That's good to have some change if needed but otherwise we don't have to. They said, "we don't change the team who wins". That's why we don't want to change the Clinton's team because they won in the past and they will again. Whem Boss Clinton took power in 1992, there was a huge deficit in US economy, 888 bilions dollars. At the end of his term, the US economy was so powerfull that when President Bush took office he was able to send rebate checks to families. That money came from the powerful economy that president Clinton left. We are not going to chose based on color of our skin.

Does it matter ? Clinton was endorsed by DE MOINES Register in Iowa and she lost. These are the signs to come .Obama is going to lose in Nevada.Anybody but OBAMA.

Scared for our country, it is usually the editorial boards that endorse candidates, and those are not supposed to be fair and balanced.

Newspapers shall not take sides, How will the public write to it and have its views printed?

Yes, once the public has decided then newspapers shall be there to act as watchdog and expose wrong-doings of the leaders or give kudos for good work. But not to take side at this stage of the campaign.

This is the problem with journalism. How can you report and be unbiased then recommending an "endorsement" of one particular candidate? I am sure not everyone at that newspaper supports that endorsement. Is it just the owners of the paper? The publisher?
