NEW YORK (CNN) – Mitt Romney scored well with Republican voters Saturday who ranked the economy and illegal immigration as major issues facing the country, according to early entrance poll results from the Nevada caucuses.

And the former Massachusetts governor also benefited from his Mormon religion.

The Associated Press projected Romney as the winner of the Nevada caucuses based on the entrance poll data, but CNN is still waiting for official results from the Nevada Republican Party before the network projects a winner.

Entrance poll results showed that the former Massachusetts governor did well on the economy and illegal immigration, which ranked first and second on the minds of GOP voters.

Romney also captured 94 percent of the voters who identified themselves as Mormon, which made up 25 percent of all Republicans participating in the GOP caucuses. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints estimates that there are 170,000 members living in Nevada.

It isn't just Washington that is "broken". It is the Republican party. Not only does Mitt Romney look and act "presidential"…look deeper. He's highly qualified, by virtue of his political and economic experience. Nevermind his religious preference–instead, take a good hard look at his "squeaky clean" family. Obviously, he and his wife did an AMAZING job of setting good examples–and like it or not–their faith played a HUGE part in raising their children–the right way. Mitt Romney is a candidate the American people can TRUST…not only with OUR MONEY, but with OUR CHILDREN, too. Character is EVERYTHING.

CALIFORNIAMARTY SAYS MITT ROMNEY WON REPUBLICAN DEBATE ACCORDING TO DEMOCRAT CHRIS MATTHEWS AND REPUBLICAN PAT BUCHANON. Last night the Republican candidates debated on the liberal station MSNBC. Mitt Romney was clearly the winner faultlessly answering questions fromthe moderators, the audience and from fellow candidates.

He looks and acts like an ideal President. He will be an ideal POTUS.

CALIFORNIAMARTY   January 20th, 2008 8:01 pm ET

"Which candidate Mitt Romney or Mike Huckabee is best equipped to handle
the worldwide economic problems of this country? Mitt Romney is a
proven extremely successful businessperson He was class valedictorian at
BYU and earned an MBA and a Law Degree from Harvard, cum laude Romney
has traveled the world over and solved the problems of major
corporations making so much money in the process that he served without pay as
Governor of Massachusetts.
Romney is the man they called in to bring the Salt Lake City Olympics
from financial disaster to financial success. He served refusing payment
and donated 1 million dollars as well. Huckabee who earned a
Bachelors degree Magna cum laude in religion at Ouchita He was Governor of
Arkansas with a terrible record of raising taxes.
Huckabee has no international business experience, nor does he claim
any.

Who is strongest between the two on national defense and crime? A man
who has been around the world and knows the difference between our
enemies and our friends–a man would not and did not pardon rapists or
murderers or the man from Arkansas who as governor pardoned over 1000
convicts, on requests from friends and relatives and over the strenuous
objections of law enforcement, including a convicted felon who committed
rape at knife point who when released by Huckabee, went on to rape and
kill?

Who is the strongest on enforcement of immigration laws? Tom Tancredo
an expert on immigration issues just dropped out of the race and
endorsed Mitt Romney as the strongest on enforcement of immigration laws.

Who is strongest and most knowledgeable about health care? Huckabee as
governor and still today advocates legalized isolation of aids
sufferers. Romney as governor joined with Democrats on legislation for
statewide health insurance coverage.

Who has the diplomacy and smarts to work effectively with the
Democrats? Romney worked with Senators Kennedy, Kerry, and the Democrats who
controlled the state legislature. Huckabee is known for his bad temper
and dictatorial ways.

Finally we have the issue of ethics in office. On Feb. 10, 2006, a
state computer eliminated material on Wikipedia criticizing Huckabee for
"his much-publicized purchase of a private jet that has been used for
what many term as personal travel."
The state purchased a Beechcraft turboprop for $1.4 million in 1997.
Records showed Huckabee or his wife Janet used the state police plane 80
times in 2005 and 55 times in 2006.

The issues confronting our nation, national security, the economy,
crime, health care and ethical behavior in government are serious and
complicated.

Mitt Romney is clearly the man best qualified to lead us safely into
the future."

CALIFORNIAMARTY   January 20th, 2008 1:08 pm ET

When Mitt Romney took office as governor of Massachusetts, the state had a $1.2 billion deficit. Four years later it was in surplus. Fourth and eighth graders in Massachusetts achieved the highest scores in the nation in reading and math and his program of assessment, merit pay for good teachers, English immersion and a focus on math and science helped keep them at the top and he got all health insurance coverage. Romney is refreshingly articulate, exceedingly well prepared and self-disciplined, clearly an excellent manager with both private and government experience, happily married with a large, supportive family, and well within the mainstream of conservatism on every major issue. He is just the sort of candidate people complain that they never get. P.S. He saved the Olympics from bankruptcy making it a huge success, working without pay. His company brought us Dominoes Pizza, Stables and Timberland and many others. Valedictorion BA, MBA and Law from Harvard cum laude.
The comments should be about the candidates proven abilities not the People Magazine gossip and drivel.

Wise up America, this is life and death and the media is not helping because their agenda is ratings not selecting the best person to be president.

Wake up people! America is long past due for a President that actually understands the economy, a President that understands what actually encourages job creation, a President that actually understands global economics and what this country must do to fight its way back to lead the world. Everybody else can talk and speculate and hope and repeat what they think they understood Greenspan to say, but Romney actually has credibility because that's what he spent his life doing.

VOTE ROMNEY - A PROVEN LEADER WITH THE EXPERIENCE TO STRENGTHEN THE ECONOMY

icourtright   January 19th, 2008 7:46 pm ET

Poles are reporting about half of Romney's Nevada votes came from Mormons, but even if you excuded them, he still won by over ten per cent.

JanetP   January 19th, 2008 6:38 pm ET

Let's face it. We're not going to get a candidate who has a perfect record on every issue and who has never changed their position. Indeed, I don't think I could vote for a person who was so dogmatic they couldn't reconsider a matter when circumstances change. It's a sign of personal growth.

Although I am a lifelong Democrat, I decided early on that I would vote for Romney. He is far from my idea of the perfect candidate but I think he is the best candidate to deal with the economy and his position on illegal immigration seals the deal for me. As to the war, I can only hope that he has the good judgment to surround himself with experts and the patience to work with other governments toward reconciliation.

Jeremiah Grant, Phoenix, AZ   January 19th, 2008 5:18 pm ET

Enough with the Mormon thing! Only 25% of the GOP caucus goers were LDS, a far cry from the 60% Evangelical vote in Iowa and the projected 55% in SC. Honestly! Are we going to discount every state in which there's an LDS population in excess of 3%? The LDS people make up a whopping 7% of the population in NV and 12-14% in WY and yet somehow they're the reason why Romney wins. Give me a break. Romney is currently spanking McCain handily by a margin of 4 to 1. 4 to 1 people!!! How can that be attributable to the LDS voters if there were four times as many non-LDS voters? The math doesn't work. Sorry. Not a single Mormon could have voted for Romney today and he still would have won this thing handily. It just would have been 30% to 12-13%, still a humiliating defeat for McAmnesty

The other laughable element to this woodshed beating of McAmnesty is that everyone wanted to suggest that Romney should have dominated NH because he was the Governor of a neighboring state. Let's see. Romney was in MA for 4 years and was supposed to have a big advantage because of that. McAmnesty has been the Senator of a neighboring state to NV for 24 years (6x as long) and he just got taken to the cleaners. What gives? What's John's next excuse?

Joan   January 19th, 2008 5:07 pm ET

I am bothered by the way the media is reporting Romney’s win in Nevada. They attributed his first place finish to the “sizable Mormon population”, when in truth exit polls say that Mormon’s comprised 27% of the vote. The margin was so wide between first and second place that if ALL the Mormons stayed home Romney still would have won by 7% over the other candidates. It’s intellectual dishonestly to print such misleading headlines.

Vote smart America, Mitt means improving our nation where we need it most. He has a history of doing the right things for the right reasons!!

David P   January 19th, 2008 4:33 pm ET

Sharon, you mentioned that Romney will let the illegals take over, yet you are supporting McCain. Wasn't it McCain that sponsored a bill with Ted Kennedy to allow illegals to stay and receive all the benefits of a citizen. I live in Ma. and Mitt changed bilingual education to english immersion, which has been highly successful, and he had the State Police working with Immigration Officials to enforce our laws, not look the other way. When he stepped into office Ma. had a large budget deficit and by the time he left we had a huge surplus. McCain is misleading people with this "Straight Talk Express". He may be a veteran, like myself, but he's not what this country needs right now. If you want to vote for someone that is a true leader vote"Mitt"

Bill, Albany, NY   January 19th, 2008 4:31 pm ET

I just love how you social conservatives say that religion and race dont matter but you'll attack Obama at the drop of a hat. I guess its really hard to say that the Obama isnt experienced enough but then again alot of you social conservatives hate science, movies, tv and just about anything that is remotely fun because it doesnt promote Christian values and other dogmatic bs. Romney is a very good businessman their is no question of that but as a Latino I dont trust anyone whos religion says that my family is the spawn of Satin which probably does win points with alot of you social conservatives. You people complain about the PC liberals but you people should take a nice good look in the mirror because your all one in the same. I think when social conservatives say that they are tolerant they should have in fine print that says "white, heterosexual christians only". If there is a man in the Republican party that can reunite the country and tell the partisans on both sides to shut up its either Ron Paul or John McCain. This is Romney's moment so big props to him.

Val Davydov, MA   January 19th, 2008 4:23 pm ET

Allan Jones,

Thank you for your strong words. I am too sick and tired of people like J.P. It is a well know fact that AP hates Romney - every AP news article you read they criticize Romney. And now Boston Herald is on AP's wagon as well heralding the same trash. But Boston Herald endorsed McCain so I understand their strategy. They don't want to be embarrassed seeing their endorsee legging behind badly (in delegate count that is), so their strategy is to spew some dirt at the front-runner.

CONGRATULATIONS, Gov. Romney. You deserve it as you worked hard for it.

The next time you decide to go on an anti-Mormon rant, could you please be a little more coherent about it? I wasted too much time re-reading your babblings and trying to make sense of them. Thanks.

Another Steve   January 19th, 2008 4:10 pm ET

Big surprise. Who said religion and politics were seperate in this country. I'd like to say this guy would make a decent President, but he reminds me more of a snake oil salesman. Ask the citizens of Mass. what he did as governor there. Go figure that he panders to whatever constituents need in the area he's currently seeking votes from. Anti illegals and the Mormons in Nevada. The Mormons that won't vote for someone else when given this candidate because of his religion and this guy is the best qualified? Well, he probably could beat Hillary as she is even more disengenous. Hopefully the Democrats have the strength to vote for the new leadership we need and not more Clintons "Bush lite". I can't in all honesty vote for Hillary as an independent. She is just too polarized a politician. She has major issues in being honest with the public about her past and her actual experience in getting things done. She does not work well with others, that is without Bill constantly by her side( how long do we think that will last before he's by someone else's side once this election is over). You Republicans need to pick someone else than this guy as we'll end up in a world worse than what we currently have bad as that seems.

sharon walker   January 19th, 2008 4:09 pm ET

Dear Friends:

Vote for Senator John McCain.

The enemy is at thy feet.

Romney would want the illegals to overtake this nation, cause a recession and
bring home mortgages to the highest they ever have been in the history of the USA.
LDS gets more 10% donations. Bring them on. Romney has no history of military conflict with his faith for him to be in command.

Carolyn   January 19th, 2008 4:05 pm ET

I;m supporting Mitt Romney because not only is he highly intelligent, but he has proven leadership ability….in business as well as government. Mitt Romney is also a very good and moral individual who would not disgrace the office of President of the U. S. with scandal. He would surround himself with good and capable people. He can communicate with intelligence and from experience and, I believe, more than any other candidate, Mitt Romney would help America gain respect again throughout the world.

JWK   January 19th, 2008 3:53 pm ET

David P, the answer as to why the fourth estate, the drive by media as Rush calls them, is against Romney is because he is everything they are not. They won't be able to Gary Hart him, they won't be able to attach his business ethics, and they won't be able to attack his record as Governor.

The drive by media want either Huckabee or McCain because they know they both will be able to be defeated. While Huckabee may be a really good man, the fact that he wears his religion on his sleeve and reminds many of a Republican Jimmy Carter is just what they want to be able to attack. McCain is another matter. They will attack some of his positions but on many he is almost like Hillery and Obama. Mainly they will slyly question if a man of 72 will be able to withstand the pressures of the office. No doubts about it, the media wants Obama to become President as is indicated by their love fest in reporting on him.

Ultimately, the drive by media wants to have the world know they are not irrelevant and that they can still influence politics as they used to.

Cami   January 19th, 2008 3:46 pm ET

Good job Mitt! I am proud of you! I know you are the best man for the job and I can't wait to cast my vote for you on Super Tuesday!

JWK   January 19th, 2008 3:38 pm ET

How will Romney get crushed? They can't attack his morals? If the attack his faith then it will backlash. If they attack his time as Governor what are they going to say, that his programs to help people get insurance coverage is wrong when their programs have been taken from his format of letting business handle it?

Once Romney get the nomination he will be able to focus on their tax increases and increased spending for health care. His experience as a Governor and in business, economics, and other aspects of his life will far outshine Hillery or Obama. He will be tougher on illegal immigration as Hillery and Obama have both stated that they will give amnesty to illegals.

Obama is the new Bill Clinton but he is more 'progressive' thinking than Bill and his experience is 4 years of being in the Senate, two of which he will not be around because he is campaigning for President. He has no track record to run on except 'hope.' While hope is not bad if all he has is hope then we are all in trouble. Even JFK had more experience then Obama has.

TJ   January 19th, 2008 3:37 pm ET

How many polls said 50% for Mitt? The dems and media know that Mitt would crush any liberal socialist on the dem side in a one on one debate. Thus the dems and media are still talking up the Huckster and other losers.

Romney is winning the Republican base. If anyone undecided will to listen with an open mind to Mitt speak, it will only take a few minutes to see that he is brilliant.

McCain is just another Sr Senator war veteran who has no winning ideas like Bob Dole was a sr senator war vet in 1996. Obama/Oprah or the Clintons would have a very big victory against McCain just like Slick did against Dole back in 96.

Now that the news is out that Rudy is low on money, Mitt is the only candidate that can go the distance and win in November. If the people of Florida do not wake up and give Mitt a win that would make the dems and the media very happy indeed. A vote for McCain or the Huckster is a vote for the Democrats and economic & international failure.

Romney is for strong military??? ha. then he better be in favor of downsizing the troop levels in iraq because our army and marines and exhausted…

Travis   January 19th, 2008 3:10 pm ET

Objective one is to keep Hillarea and socialism out of the White House. That mission will be acomplished the first week in February. No need to wait until November to get her out of the way… Barack will be knocked down at that time.

Objective two is to keep the Huckster and McCain out of office. Those closet demakooks will do us no good. Both would raise taxes, are soft on immigration, etc….

Romney or Thompson will be just fine.

Romney NC   January 19th, 2008 3:10 pm ET

It's amazing what happens in a state where people are familiar enough with Mormons to realized how unfounded the bias against them is. (OK, fine, and the fact that the other leading GOP candidates were campaigning elsewhere helped a little too.)

Derek, Honolulu, HI   January 19th, 2008 3:07 pm ET

It's nice to see that Mormons can think for themselves and be unbiased…..only 94% of them voted for Mitt…..haha.

To the people who think that Mitt is great b/c he wants to lower taxes, lowering taxes is only 1/2 of the equation. The other half is cutting spending, which Mitt doesn't seem to want to do. He's happy with an extravagent foreign policy that will only put us in more wars throughout the globe. Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who's got foreign policy right.

David P   January 19th, 2008 3:05 pm ET

I'm happy for Mitt. The media is relentless with the attacks and he's still shining. One question I have is why does the media dislike him so much? He is what we need in America. Yes, he has changed his position on a few issues, but if you listen to the media it seems as if he is the only one. The main stream media is going to do whatever they can to see that he doesn't win. These are the same people that talk about tolerance……….hypocrites. They talk about equality, but really mean entitelment. They talk about people being given the same oppurtunities no matter what color they are, but support affirmative action, which discriminates against whites. Conservatives are more tolerant because of the BS we have to tolerate on a daily basis from the media and like minded liberals and their political allies. Whenever we disagree with liberals they resort to name calling. Liberals vote with their heart, conservatives with their brain.
Let's compare the electorate: Dem supporters consist of illegal immigrants, ex cons, welfare abusers, Hollywood stars, liberal naive college students, etc.. Republican supporters consist of law enforcement officials, military personnel, average middle and working class people, TAXPAYERS. Employers.
I know which party I'm supporting, but again I care about this country and the direction we're heading in.

James, Houston,TX.   January 19th, 2008 3:02 pm ET

Illegal Immigration? Was this country taken over from the Indians by the Red Necks?, or did the settlers spring up from under- neath a Rock? When, the Southern Borders were established the "Gringos" forgot to change the names of San Francisco, Los Angeles, Yuma, Las Vegas, Las Cruses, San Diego, El Paso, Laredo, San Antonio, etc ! Does Rommey propose legislation on his first 100 days? And, does everyone endorse having Nineteen(19) Wives or Mates? Is Roe vs. Wade in Trouble? Hiho Sir, Geo. Herbert Bush +could have benefit from that Law! And Tony Bennet, could have never become popular without leaving his Heart, Where?

Eric in SLC   January 19th, 2008 3:02 pm ET

Fitting that Romney would pull Vegas, where style matters more than substance. I typically lean right, but would choose almost any Dem over Romney just based on apparent depth of conviction. It's kind of hard to predict the actions of someone who bases his policy choices off polls. It looks like other independents agree with me. Look at the head to head polls on realclearpolitics to see that Romney as nominee will help to ensure a Dem win in 2008. For one example of Romney's shallowness look at immigration reform, where he agreed that the McCain attempt at a consensus solution was reasonable and was not amnesty. He's also admitted that mass deportation is not feasible, which means he's on the side of just leaving the problem for later to avoid political risk.

Barbara M. Dewhirst   January 19th, 2008 3:00 pm ET

He won Nevada because he is the best candidate across the board & knows what he is talking about. McCain is special also but the dignity Romney has will carry him right to the WHITE HOUSE. Wow Mike,

First - spelling is important and your attempt at humor is disrespectful to say the least. I'm sure you advocate the same disrespect for all candidates?

Second - The only current candidate running against Governor Romney in the Republican primary as you misstated above is Senator McCain. Please have the decency and respect towards an elected official. I believe you would expect the same respect and question whether you have ever earned the same right to be called a Governor or Senator of Massachusetts or The United States of America.

Third - I seriously doubt that Governor Romney's campaign wants you to be their caustic spokesperson. You are a "basher" and the last thing this country needs. Governor Mitt Romney and Senator John McCain are both passionate about their drive to make a difference for our country and our citizens. They both have different policies and different styles. It is this variance among all people that has provided the innovation to move our country in just over two hundred years to be a global leader..

Fourth - Have you not calculated that Governor Romney and Senator McCain may run together after the primary - think before you hate.

Amanda Hugginkis   January 19th, 2008 2:45 pm ET

Mitt Romney is a liar and a joke. His advisors are all lobbyists, while he claims that he would enter the White House untethered by typical DC obligations. What a liar!

He claims that he'd keep jobs in America, but has no solid plan to do so. Just talking points and a smile.

Vote RON PAUL! Dr. Paul has been in DC for 20 years, but there has never been a Washington politician in 100 years who has avoided lobbyists and capitol hill backscratching like Ron Paul. He has solid ideas on how move us out of a stupid war and get our recession turned around. Dr. Paul doesn't tell us what we'd like to hear (ala Romney the Romulan), he says it like it is.

Vote Ron Paul!!!!!

You look it up and you'll see that your are as stupid and wrong as the comment you make. Please list his so called lobbyists advisors and please come back with more than one name since you have supposedly done your homework.

asher   January 19th, 2008 2:43 pm ET

Charles is correct. Romney would get crushed in the general election. McCain is probably the only republican candidate who could win the general election for the republican party.

Romney still has only won in states where he had name recognition (michigan) or states where nobody competed but him (Wyoming and now Nevada). In states where he competed and outspent his opponents (NH, IOWA and SC), he has lost all three. In south carolina, where he has outspent both McCain and Romney combined, is probably going to come in 4th.

Florida is the key to this election. I just do not see Romney finishing better than 3rd. If he finishes third, he loses all his momentum going into super tuesday.

Brian   January 19th, 2008 2:43 pm ET

It has gone beyond sad and ridiculous and into the realm of absurdity, the way the media continues to totally ignore the success and popularity of Ron Paul. Now that he has come in 2nd in a race, they won't even show the election results, just that Romney already "won". What are they going to do when he wins a state primary….pretend it didn't actually happen? Maybe some day Americans will finally wake up from the media "matrix", but I doubt it. The media is still giving more coverage to Guiliani, even though he hasn't won a thing.

Austin Long   January 19th, 2008 2:42 pm ET

If you think Mormons vote for him just because he's Mormon, you're dead wrong. Democratic Senator Harry Reid is a Mormon too… And I don't see much support for HIM from Mormons! People support Mitt because of his corporate experience, that he's not an establishment guy, and who he is.

The honest truth is that if he wasn't the right guy, we would NOT want him to be president. If he becomes president people are going to be relentless against Mormons and their beliefs, and always mock his religion. So nobody is voting for him just because he's MORMON.

Good night and good luck.

Jon B   January 19th, 2008 2:39 pm ET

LOL is anyone suprised?

The public as a whole is OBLIVIOUS to true politics. They listen to the MSM and to campaign ads. Romney is spending a(his) FOURTUNE to get elected…

Somehow success by spending, and media attention is to be an indication of how great a candidate is…

He may be a good guy, but he doesn't have a true political/fiscal conservative record.

TELL THE TRUTH ABOUT THE ECONOMY….ITS NOT ROSEY! QUIT LYING TO AMERICA TO GET VOTES!

Besides that is "success" in business was by buying and dismantling US companies and sending the jobs overseas…

RESTORE THE REPUBLIC!

asher   January 19th, 2008 2:37 pm ET

94% of the mormon vote???? That is an astonishing number. Think about that. A whole religeon has basically ignored all political issues and has focused simply because Romney is a Mormon. The question for you Romney fans is should you complain that some people will not vote for your candidate simply because he is a mormon when the entire mormon community is voting for him because he is a morman.

You have a feeling, Romney has an inside shot at winning Utah.

Ken   January 19th, 2008 2:36 pm ET

The 2000 census shows Nevada has only 6% of the State as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. If we subtract the votes from all the Mormons in Nevada today, Mitt still WINS the state.

Briggon   January 19th, 2008 2:35 pm ET

I challenge the Media to report on the evident bias and downplay directed towards Governor Romney. I watch the CNN page throughout the day and see the clever changes in headlines and articles involving Romney achievements. It really is a shame. He's not being given a chance with the talking head on all of the cable news networks, and I see little glimmers of that breaking, but for the most part it still is apparent that he is the designated punching bag of the networks.

Allan Jones   January 19th, 2008 2:33 pm ET

JP in Washington, you're wrong sir. Mitt did DOT concoct anything remotely similar to Hillarycare in Massachusetts. Mitt's health plan is based on the PRIVATE sector, not government programs. IIt is brilliant, pioneering program that gets everybody insured without raising taxes and stealing taxpayer money. His plan was revolutionary and widely praised. Next, the lobbyist in question is not a paid staffer and does not sit in on senior strategy meetings. PLEASE do your homework before you spread falsehoods. You're just like the liberal media that lies and lies and lies about Romney. I'm sick of these distortions. Romney is a good man with a solid record and a person that will make an EXCELLENT president.

whatsitToyou   January 19th, 2008 2:32 pm ET

Good for him,
I am excited to see him do well today, people are listning to the issues! Fantastic news! Once I started really listning to the candidates, I found that Romney is the one I would vote for! Can't wait for CNN to downplay this lol!
Now Romney has 3 golds, and 2 silvers! woot!

Cristin   January 19th, 2008 2:29 pm ET

How much longer can the media continue to downplay Romney's wins? It's a race for delegates and Mitt has the right strategy. Regardless of what happens in SC, Romney will still be ahead.

J.P., Washington D.C.   January 19th, 2008 2:27 pm ET

Before this turns into a Mitt-fest let's not forget that he ushered in social medicine (Hillary care) when he was Gov. of Mass.

Change? His top advisors are lobbyists–yeah right. They actually are lobbyists–do your homework.

On a more positive note, it looks like Ron Paul will take 2nd place. This soldier is marching for Dr. Paul and a sensible foreign policy.

Jeff   January 19th, 2008 2:25 pm ET

I like Mitt Romney, but I am voting my conscience, Ron Paul. I just thought that I would point out that he just might take SECOND.

Economy, Romney   January 19th, 2008 2:25 pm ET

Economy Romney easy walk to victrory shows his pledge of JOBS JOBS JOBS

is working.

When it comes down to McCain and Romeny, I need a job not a WAR.

McCain is a Dinosaur and when Mitt Romeny gets through kicking his butt McCain will be a megasoreass

Bob   January 19th, 2008 2:24 pm ET

Charles in Salt Lake. I am so tired of your comments and your negative remarks. You have no idea what you are talking about and you are so annoying. Recognize a true leader when you see one. The economy is screwed without MITT.
GO MITT GO

Doug   January 19th, 2008 2:21 pm ET

To Mike VE,

You really know the issues and I agree 100%

Lets see how the media play up the winner of SC and down play Mitt in NV.

Brian   January 19th, 2008 2:16 pm ET

YAY! Proud of you Romney, hopefully more people will really start listening to you and hearing your message! Your a great leader and I firmly believe you should be running our country in behalf of all of us.

Mike VE   January 19th, 2008 2:15 pm ET

I am voting for MITT ROMNEY!!!!!

Mitt has not been in Washington for years like John McLaim, Clinton and Obama.

Mitt has held executive positions as a Govenor and in private business, Obama, Clinton and John McLaim have only worked in Washington they do not have a clue about private business or the American economy.

Mitt is a conservative that’s why the media hates him; John McLaim is a liberal just look who he associates with Kennedy, Feingold, the gang of 14, ect. and that’s why the media loves John McLaim.

Mitt is against amnesty for illegal aliens; Obama, Clinton and John McLaim are for amnesty for illegal aliens.

Mitt is for tax cuts, Obama, Clinton and John McLaim are against tax cuts and want to raise our taxes.

Mitt is for conservative judges, Obama, Clinton and John McLaim are for liberal judges.

Mitt wants to free Americans and American business from the federal government Obama, Clinton and John McLaim want big government and are responsible for big government we have.

Mitt will fight to protect this country and build a strong military; Obama, Clinton and John McLaim stood by when al-Qaeda attacked our interests in the 1990 and the 1980s.

Mitt Romney is the right change for America

Vote for Mitt!!!

Karen   January 19th, 2008 2:14 pm ET

Good. As a 20 year Dem, now Inde, I am encouraged that the Repubs are getting strong on this issue. I am appalled at the Dem position.

Daniel, WA   January 19th, 2008 2:14 pm ET

Maybe a bit boring, but read the exit polls on MSNBC…interesting to note that Romney pulled in more votes from evangelical background and other religions than other candidates…this in addition to his his obvious excellent showing among members of the LDS faith.

Seems like people are finally looking at the issues….

Bimmer   January 19th, 2008 2:09 pm ET

Good for Romney.

His faith will not act as a deterrent in fighting the Islamic terrorrists.

I wish the same could be true for one of the frot runners in the Democraic side.

Charles in Salt Lake City, UT   January 19th, 2008 2:09 pm ET

If Mitt Romney should manage to capture the Republican nonimation he will be eaten alive in the general election, no matter who his opponent is.

America   January 19th, 2008 2:08 pm ET

Thats because Mitt is the BEST to beat any Democrat in November!!!

Great Job Mitt! We Need You!!
