First of all, you argue that Jimmy Carter created his own economic problems during his presidency but that Reagan's economic policies didn't make rain until the Clinton presidency a decade later? That's inconsistent and inaccurate. Second, the Vietnam war happened under Kennedy? Uh, last I checked Vietnam was not Kennedy's war. Iraq will "happen" under the next president, too, but everyone knows whose war it is. Reagonomics were a disaster for this country. For details of what actually happened read Paul Krugman in the NYT yesterday. Finally, I agree that McCain would bring renewed energy. Clinton or Obama would bring renewed energy. First of all, you argue that Jimmy Carter created his own economic problems during his presidency but that Reagan's economic policies didn't make rain until the Clinton presidency a decade later? That's inconsistent and inaccurate.

Second, the Vietnam war happened under Kennedy? Uh, last I checked Vietnam was not Kennedy's war. Iraq will "happen" under the next president, too, but everyone knows whose war it is.

Reagonomics were a disaster for this country. For details of what actually happened read Paul Krugman in the NYT yesterday.

Finally, I agree that McCain would bring renewed energy. Clinton or Obama would bring renewed energy. A dishtowel would bring renewed energy to the White House at this point. Republicans had their shot and even most of them now realize how badly it has been screwed it up.
