Obama: Vice President Oprah?

Oprah for vice president?

Oprah for vice president?

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Politicians make a lot of ambitious election-year promises, but Thursday night, Barack Obama is making a few he might have some trouble keeping: if elected president, he’ll rename the tenth month of the year "Barack-tober" and choose Oprah Winfrey as his vice president.

The Illinois senator floats these and eight other "campaign promises" tonight as he counts down the daily Top Ten list on "The Late Show with David Letterman."

The most recent in a series of candidates to yuck it up on a late-night talk show, Sen. Obama will also propose putting Regis on the nickel and appointing Mitt Romney "secretary of lookin' good."

In the pre-taped segment of The Late Show, Obama warned Letterman not to try to "muss [his] hair," like the talk show host did to John Edwards when he appeared on the show Tuesday.

So Obama attacked Hillary about being on the Board for Wal-Mart but his wife Michelle served on the board of TreeHouse Foods, Inc., a major Wal-Mart supplier She was paid $51,200 by TreeHouse in 2006

After reading these posts I have realized that Americans really need to brush up on their grammar skills!!!! Our country is becoming so pathetic in more ways than one.

This should not even been presented by Obama as a joke. ALthough if by some very slim chance he is nominated and choses Oprah as VP, republicans would definitely be in the white house again.

I wasn't aware that this particular article was open for derision of Obama's political prowess. This was a joke. I am an Obama supporter, but this article was a joke, not a forum to berate the man. Leave that for another time when it's necessary, not on an article about Obama's top ten on Letterman. Good man.

Just wanted to remind you guys that there are more than 2 candidates, and to point out that, according to the latest Rasmussen polls, John Edwards is nearly neck and neck with Hillary. In fact, Rasmussen gives him far more credit than CNN does. When I read these posts, I see two things: "Hillary/Edwards 08" and "Obama/Edwards 08". It seems to me that they only thing this party can agree with is that Edwards should be in the White House in some capacity...why not as President?

Oh....and funny how everyone kept calling Edwards a "girl" for caring so much about his hair, but at least he let Letterman mess it up and didn't ask him not to like Obama.

Sure, it was all in fun. Not exactly newsworthy but a good enough excuse for CNN to keep Obama front and center in the news. I do love that picture though. Gives the people a good idea of what they'll get when they vote for Obama.

Chinese vote Yao Ming of the Houston Rockets and Yi Jianlian of the Bucks as President And Vice Prez but an upset was made when India voted Sanjaya and his sister into the positions. Seeinf Sanjaya play center in the NBA all-star game is a sight to see.

Mitt doesn't care for voters, A lot of republicans don't care. Colin Powell .. There is someone I respect. Who knows what secrets are in his closet. At least he had the good sense to quit the Bush admn. A lot of smart people quit the Bush Admn. However, Powell is a republican. If he were running this would be a very interesting race. Then what would Oprah do?
Oprah has turned really black, I'm not talking color, Oprah supports Obama, only because he is black . A School in S. Africa, when inner schools in Chicago could use some help. Nothing wrong with getting back to your roots. Black people cannot let go of theirs. I asked a black friend where she might be or would even be, if her ancestors were not sold into slavery by their own people? Would she still be in Kenya or some other place in Africa, living in absolute poverty. The Civil rights movement, affirmative action have lifted them out of very dark time in our history. Here they are at time when their votes really matter. White people who spoke up for them changed their lives. MLK was their voice, Rosa parks was the catalist. There was a time they could not vote, there was a time when women could not vote. For any Obama supporter to suggest they stay home from the polls in protest if Obama is not the nominee is very sad. If you vote for Obama merely because he is black thats fine, just VOTE don't give up any of your rights to protest something the republicans would love for you to do. We are Americans first!

So let me get this straight, ANYONE who does not drink the Obama Kool-Aide is hateful...

You see, nothing he says is even plausible. He tires to avoid making real promises or really talking about something important, God forbid he commits to an issue then h'd have to say, I "Pushed the wrong button." (like he did on 5 important votes while in the Illinois Senate!!!
GO HILLARY, even with all the crap Obama and the media try their best to sling, those of use that have a brain still CHOOSE YOU!!!

I love how people try to accuse Obama as being the media's baby.

    A little unscientific test. . . . .

Tonight watch FOX/CNN/MSNBC. Count how many stories are on the Clintons, and how many stories are on the Obamas. Ignore whether you think they are positive or negative stories because after being on this ticker for months I have realized that what you may think is negative, others may think are positive.

The Clintons are getting way more coverage. Last night I had to watch a story on Chelsea, a story on Bill (several times), and, almost every political conversation ended up on Hillary.

This power hungry, win at any cost family has got to go away!!!!

    They will destroy this country!

Don't look now but you Hillary supporters are doing EXACTLY was was predicted 2 years BEFORE she ran.

You people spew more venom at you own party members than the Republicans do.

DIVISIVE and the party will split and Republicans win the Whitehouse.

thought #8 is really funny, but # 7 should have been Dick Cheney as Sec. of Hunting. I am pretty sure he can aim at Osama Bin forgotten.

A reasonable person in his/her right mind would know that Dem. party is no Mrs. Bhutto's party. How can a nation with the lowest level of illiteracy be so low? Stop the Clintons and their ruthless machines.

Have you all seen the Billary photo with Tony Rezko?? They don't remember him...how convenient! So much for truth . Reminds me of Bill looking right out of my TV saying "I did NOT have sexual relations with that woman" They are simply doing and saying whatever they think it takes to win a third term...I used to admire him...not any more, and she's exactly the same!

And then people say Hillary raises the race card. Even as a joke, Obama had to nominate a BLACK woman to be VP... What's he gonna do, fill the White House with black people just because of their race? Obviosuly Ophra is not qualified to be in politics.

It's so funny. You can tell exactly who's for Obama because all they do is say things about Hillary. The thing is they don't say anything about their own candidate... so let's take their advice go vote for some guy who says credit card interest rates should have no limits because when reading the bill he didn't understand what it said. Honestly if he had more experience I would consider him a viable candidate, but he's not had enough. I'm sure he's a great guy, but he's not ready. If you want a democrat president to get us out of the hole we are in look at what Clinton did for the economy. She really cares about this country, but we are too stubborn to see it. At least the Clinton fans give a reason why she should be president other then time for change. There were at least a few other presidents who were related to each other and they were as far as I remember amazing presidents. Use your heads.
