Its the great powers that be who made the decisions for the people not the people. We the people are the ones being punished in these states where our votes dont count. This isnt fair. This makes the race fixed as far as this florida democrate is concerned. The governement has silenced my voice.

That Hillary Clinton would sign and agreement and then ignore it - not only ignore it - but deplore it's 'unfairness' - after the fact and when it begins to look like she is losing - is very disturbing. She - to me - is the epitome of democratic party whose underlying theme must be 'rules are meant to be ignored when inconvenient'.

How in the world did Florida and Michigan allow such a situation as no delegates for the state to happen? The election process should make every attempt to allow every voice to be heard!! From every state.
Dr.Dean step up to the plate and correct this situation.
I am trying to encourage people to be accountable for their actions.
The persons that moved the date and eliminated the delegates need to be counciled.
Please try and get it together before the General Election!!!!!!!

Aishia...the ads that went up in Florida were not approved by Barack and was asked several times by his campaign to ask the contributer to stop the ads. So lets get the facts straight....who is the only leaving their name on ballots in both penalty states.....Hillary Clinton.

Now that is 35 yrs of campaigning....I mean experience.!!!

I believe that the Michigan and Florida delegates should count. I liked the fact that Hilary left her name on the ballot as Obama and Edwards took their names off. Despite the fact that they did this, there were a lot of other people who wanted to vote for them. Obviously the states moved up their primary to be heard. Don't you know that Michigan is in a one state recession? I was extremely disppointed that although Clinton left her name on the ballot, she did not come to campaign or give a speech in Michigan at all. I would have liked to vote for a candidate who actually came to the state, so that I could get to know what he/she may think and how he/she could help the state's and the country's poor economy. Are we not the United States for nothing? I need a president to want to hear from my state as well as all of the other states and have a solution for them. So, let those states be heard at the national convention, please.

scgal:

You wrote, "I am proud to support Sen CLinton. She represents everyone and wants everyone's vote to count even if it is not for her."

Then how do you explain Nevada? Her campaign agreed to have the DNC add more caucus sites along the Vegas strip, then--after the Culinary Union endorsed Obama--her supporters sued to have those same caucuses removed in an attempt to disenfranchise those same culinary union members! These are not the actions of someone who wants "everyone's vote to count".

I respect your disagreement with the DNC's decision on delegates, but ALL of the candidates agreed to it! NOW, knowing she's already won Michigan (though I'm not impressed with someone only winning 55% when they're virtually unopposed), she comes out and says the delegates should be seated. Don't any of Hillary's supporters see how self-serving this is? How is this a brave or unselfish move on her part?

To Marg - if you're not anti Clinton it doesn't get posted.
bashers unite it won't mean a thing. the republicans will win if we cut off people in our party and i know if i lived in fla or mich i would vote republican in a general election and tell the demos where to go. Didn't the DNC learn when bush pulled off the biggest heist in American history over Gore in Fla. Does anyone at the leadership level remember hanging chads?

i guess obama played by the rules when he ran ads that appeared in fla against the pledge that all 3 made not to campaign there. I guess he played by the rules when he called edwards out on a spec interest ad and told him he had to denounce the ad but it's ok for him a week later in nevada to have a discusting radio ad and in S.C. he has spec interest ads that edwards is objecting to with just cause. As for change, America's been changing since it's inception and will continue to do that no matter who is president. i believe that the republicans are licking their chops at the demos snub of fla and MI. those disinfranchised voters may rebell and go to the GOP. obama's a cry baby and i wonder what will happen when the press stories increase on Feb 25 when rezko goes to trial. Can't wait to see the GOP rip him up on that if he gets the nod from the demos!

I can surely understand that Florida and Michigan residents want their voices heard “I would too”. However the rules are the rules. If she can’t follow party rules.. I’m very concerned about her following the rules of the country. I can see it now.. She won’t listen to anyone if she’s elected president.. Please people don’t put the lives of America in her hands. If you don’t like Obama vote Edwards!

Ya know, after the waterworks she pulled to show she'd be weak on the world stage (c'mon crying because you 'think' you 'might' be losing a 'race'?!) I said on talk radio that if she does anything that stoopid again I'd not vote for her.

I gotta really think about it now, this may be that stoopid of her.

Dirty politics? Fine, it's totally entertaining, but play by the freakin' rules!

I understand why everyone questions Bill's integrity, hers is now in question.

The jury's out on this one, especially after the 'reps should quit' quote.

She's really messin' up.

He Cheated plain and simple because he saw he was about 17-22 percent behind HILLARY on all FLORIDA polls. Also, the ignorant person above who said HILLARY agreed to not count delegates early on because they were not in her favor back then is so SADLY MISTAKEN. WE HERE IN FLORIDA, Love HILLARY!!! She was always way AHEAD. So please don't post lies like you know about Florida. HILLARY even without ONE COMMERCIAL is STILL WAY AHEAD!!! OBAMA's PLEDGE MEANS NOTHING...SO what he is selling you all is a LIE As WELL!

I CAN UNDERSTAND WHERE THIS LOOKS LIKE THE CLINTONS ARE TRYING TO OBTAIN AN UNFAIR ADVANTAGE SINCE THESE TWO STATES HAVE A MAJORITY FOR HILIARY; HOWEVER AT THE SAME TIME I CANT UNDERSTAND HOW YOU CAN JUST COME OUT AND SAY SINCE YOU DECIDED TO HAVE AN EARLY PRIMARY THAT YOUR VOTES MEAN NOTHING. IF THAT IS NOT TAKING AWAY ONE OF THE MOST SACRED RIGHTS OF OUR COUNTRY I DONT KNOW WHAT IS. THERE SHOULD BE A MORE FAIR AND JUST WAY TO PUNISH THE PEOPLE WHO WENT AGAINST THE DNC OTHER THAN DENYING THE RIGHT TO VOTE TO HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF FLORIDIANS AND VOTERS IN MICHIGAN. I PERSONALLY THINK THEY SHOULD HAVE A NATIONAL PRIMARY. GET THIS ALL OUT OF THE WAY IN ONE STINKING DAY. WOULD BE A LOT CHEAPER AND A WHOLE LOT SHORTER THAN HAVING THESE CAMPAIGNS RUN THE ENTIRE YEAR OR EVEN MORE BEFORE THE ACTUAL VOTING.

This will be a very interesting election!

Obama is well on his way to re-starting the Civil War or perhaps I should say a RACE WAR that will destroy the DEMOCRATIC Party.

The REPUBLICANS are all racing to see who will fit into the newest style of caveman loin cloth.

As an INDEPENDENT I can only watch and wonder where America went...

Ok for you people in Michigan that are so glad Hillary "cares for you".

What about all those voters who showed up to vote "undecided"....now what does that tell you about some of the other folks in your state? Do you think maybe they think for themselves instead of being one of those sheep following others off a cliff? Take the blinders off for God's sake. America doesn't need anymore dirty politics...no more of the Clintons.

I'm an independent for Obama by the way. Would for sure have voted "undecided" myself if I only had a vote for Hill-Bill-A-Ry. I would have drug myself out in the cold, snow, flood, or fire just to vote "undecided".

Your comment is awaiting moderation.

In the US every person's vote should count. I do not agree with the DNC's decision to punish the voters in Michigan and Florida. Punish the state party by taking away some power but do not take away the power of the people.
To respond the the charges about Michigan, there was a concerted effort to have people vote uncommitted. Those people who did so showed their support for Senators Obama and Edwards. Sen. Clinton still won over 50% of the vote.

I am proud to support Sen CLinton. She represents everyone and wants everyone's vote to count even if it is not for her.

You can't agree to rules before the game starts and then try to change them after the first quarter.

Stop it Hillary. Either win without Michigan and Florida (like Obama and John are trying to do) or don't win at all.

Fair is fair. Counting Michigan and Florida now is not.

If Hillary wanted voices heard, why did she have her campaigns shut doors early in the NV caucus?

If Hillary is a candidate of change with 35 years of experience "implementing change" then why does America still want and need change? Either she hasn't really been doing anything for 35 years or has some other idea of what constitutes change....think about it.

America does not need more of the same.

Thought I never would say that, but here I go: Republicans seem to be smarter. RNC took half of the MI delegates out of the game. They delivered the penalty message AND held a primary that meant something. Don’t be too surprised if MI goes red in the general election; thanks to Howard Dean & DNC.

And don’t be too surprised if the race between the two Clintons and Obama after Super Tuesday is still close to see lawyers walking in to make sure that the MI and FL vote counts (just when it fits into strategy); to make sure that “uncommitted” doesn’t meant Obama or Edwards. And don’t be too surprised to hear the same old broken record over and over again: “I have nothing to do with that Michigan lawsuit, I swear, so help me god!”

Sometimes I wonder, could it be, that the greatest enemies of the Democratic Party are within the Democratic Party?

Bore lost THE un-lost-able election, Kerry flip-flopped another un-lost-able election and the two Clintons sure will join the team in the upcoming “losing is mission impossible” election.

Please stop the madness and end the ongoing vendetta or face JE Bush 2012 and Chelsea Clinton 2020 as a result of that backdoor monarchy, which we, the voters, apparently unsolicited install.

I can't see them not counting the delegates in these states. It seems to be againg the principles of the Democratic party for their voices to be stripped away. Besides, at least at this time it appears the race is too close to call, and may continue to be that way, which will make Michigan and Florida necessary.

Hillary won Michigan, regardless of who was or was not on the ballot. Obama and Edwards removed their names from the ballot (which wasn't required as part of the no campaign pledge) and then tried unsuccessfully to have them reinstated, as well as unsuccessfully to get write-in votes allowed. Obama surrogates (Edwards to a much smaller extent) then campaigned on his behalf urging everyone to vote uncommitted if you didn't want Hillary. In spite of this, Hillary won 55% to 40% and she didn't have any campaiging on her behalf in Michigan. I think this is truly why Obama is not stepping up and also demanding the votes be counted. It's because HIllary won significantly despite the tactics employed on his behalf.

Now Obama is doing the same thing with Florida. He takes out a national ad buy, knowing full well that it would play in Florida, where he also signed a pledge not to run campaign ads. I don't buy into the excuse being made on his behalf that it's no big deal because the adds are running all over the country (while interestingly I have not seen a single one where I live, which happens to be a state that votes after February 5). Everyone else has managed to run adds and campaign all over without being in Florida, as per the pledge.

Obama is just your typical politician. Although, I view him to be much worse than the typical, as he claims he is above all the usual tactics and campaigns on transcending and changing politics. In truth, he is just as bad, if not worse, than the rest of them.

I would be willing to bet that if Obama had won Michigan (by way of undecided) and was much closer or ahead in the polls in Florida, he would be asking for the same thing. Since it is not of any benefit to him to have the delegates seated, then he prefers not to support it.

I can not speak to Ms. Clinton's intentions and have no doubt that if she did not see this as a gain for her camp she would not be bringing it up. However, I agree with one of the comments above that said this is dangerous for the Democratic party. They ar epunishing the voters in two states for the actions of a few party leaders. It would almost serve the Dems right if the people in those states all voted Republican. i just hope that does not happen because the stakes are way too high. If another Republican is put in office (with the possible exception of McCain) America will be lost to us forever.

Obama is running national ads because he can't be in two places at once, like the Clintons. And don't give me the line about his wife is also campaigning for him. If you think that Michelle Obama has the type of political pull that Bill does, then you're crazy.

And if the people of Michigan and Florida wanted their delegates counted, then they should have followed the wishes of the DNC. I live in Indiana, and our primary is in May. Traditionally, the nominations have already been secured by the time we vote. I dislike not having a say in the primaries, but there's no use to whining about disenfranchisement. The entire primary election system needs a complete overhaul, but until that day, not every state will truly have a say in the primary elections. There is a big deal about Florida and Michigan because they were publicly reprimanded.

And if Hillary was sincerely interested in every person's vote counting, she would have protested the removal of delegates from the beginning.

HILLARY CLINTON IS THE TANYA HARDING OF POLITICS.

Call her on it and do NOT vote for Hillary! She will cheat our country at any opportunity, as long as she gets back in the White House for REVENGE!

About Obama and that Florida add I'm seeing blogs on here...if it's true...don't know...don't live there....on but wait....I BET OBAMA KNEW NOTHING....WASN'T INFORMED....IT WAS ONE OF THOSE ROGUE GROUPS...HE CAN'T HELP WHAT HIS SURROGATES DID OR SAID.

Does that sound even remotely familiar?

Who cares. The CLINTONS KNOW NO RULES anyway. Those are the things that apply to everybody else in this nation.

As for those people in Michigan who are so glad Hillary "cared enough" to stay on the ballot? Two words: WAKE UP. Hillary doesn't care about anyone but herself ! P.S. EVERY OTHER CANDIDATE....I repeat EVERY OTHER CANDIDATE pulled their names off the ballot EXCEPT Hillary.

So you really think NONE OF THEM CARED about votes in Michigan? Are you kidding me? If your haven't seen that writing on the wall I seriously doubt you are intelligent enough to read this post anyway. People who think like you are part of the reason this country is in the shape it's in today.

Independent for Obama 08!

Ginny,
I strongly agree that CNN should tell us how they decide which comments
to post and which to ignore. I believe that they may be ignoring many
supporters of Senator Clilnton, which (if that is the case) shows that they
are limiting free speech because of bias on their part. Also, since I see
few comments supporting Senator Edwards or Senator Clinton, it seems
obvious who CNN is showing bias toward.

All the national polls show that Hillary is substantially ahead of Obama, so
it seems strange that most of the comments that CNN posts favor Obama.

This probably will not be posted, but at least someone at CNN will read
this (maybe), and they will know that we know that they are showing bias.

One thing we can agree with is that this hillarybill clinton will win nomination she is desperate and they will do anything to win.Am 100% she will pick barack obama as her running mate why?because she is ready to do whatever to win.She has in her mind plan of picking Bill richardson but she is compelled by the fact that without picking obama she wont get to the white house.Am sure if Obama declines to be her running mate she will pick a black candidate to be her running mate. The question is who?My prediction will stand Hillary will win nomination and she will pick obama or other black. She cant pick rangel because of constitution banning.she might pick jesse jackson or any influential black if obama doesnt enter. On republic side McCain will win nomination and am sure Huckabee will be his running mate. Why?i cant tell.McCain may think of picking fred thompson but the age is the factor he cant have a ticket for two old men.In november Mc Cain will prevail why?Hillarybill clinton negative attack plus flip flopping a lot on Iraq.

The DNC asked the candidates to remove their names from the Michigan ballot in protest for Michigan breaking the rules as to moving up the primary. The Governor's "reasoning" for an early primary was to make Michigan more significant a presence in the overall primary process. The irony of this thoughtless action was had the state adhered to the original date Michigan would matter. How about this...So HRC wants to restore the world's confidence in the USA? The world is watching, her own Party can not trust her, and just a tip...I don't think I'd like to be in a foxhole with someone who has only their own self interest at heart. Poor HRC, maybe she just didn't think.

There is no wondering about CNN removing posts. Every one I posted has been removed. Mediamatters.org has a wealth of information about who said what as far as what Pundits say. More freedom of speech.
Hillary kept her name on the ballot in Michigan. Why shouldn't she get the delegates? The card carrying Clinton bashers are always going to say negative things weather truth or lies. That is why Hillary will be a good President, she's already been bash tested and she won against the right.

Good Morning,

As a caucasion woman I will not vote for HRC. While I think she is solid on the issues I have real concerns about integrity and morals. Have we forgotten what the last 3-4 years of Clinton time in the WH was like? Nothing will change if she gets in the WH. It will be the same garbage and tit for tat that we are seeing now, but with different players. The Clinton's inspire this!

I am amazed that the Clinton's are downplaying the hate republicans have for them. Wasn't it Karl Rove who said nothing would make the republican party unite faster than to run against HRC?

I think all the states should be heard absolutely that is our constitutional right as americans, but I think it would be niave to think HRC would be challenging the delegates to count if she didn't think she could win. Believe me, HRC doesn't vote that way and she doesn't play that way.

Regarding the race card, Obama hasn't brought it up, he has worked to the contrary and since this is obviously not benefiting him I find it hard to believe he would play it. Think about it!

Bill Clinton last night talking about the right winged conspiracy is laughable, but either way you look at it these people have may enemies. Sad very sad.

Respectfully Submitted.

Gene in Illinois..
He promised the voters of Illinois to finish his entire term here and not use his office as a platform to run for president. So far, we have not seen or heard from him too much as he has been busy breaking that promise!

Well as a New York resident, "we" heard the same! Hillary made same promise and doing the same thing! Just thought I would let you know.

I dunno folks.

Not allowing the michigan and florida voters a say in who becomes the nominee will do nothing but hurt the Democratic party in the long run.

I really think they should consider this. By the way, the candidates didnt agree to take their names off the ballot. They were all on there except Edwards and Obama. The DNC never asked them to take their name off the ballot.

It was the final straw for me when Obama violated the no-campaigning agreement and started airing ads in Florida. I want a president who says what he means, means what he says, and stands by his word. In this case, the "he" is a "she". I am now a proud Hillary supporter and wish her God's Speed in South Carolina today.

I have a comment "awaiting moderation" from 12 hours ago, too. What's with that? All I said was that Michigan was trying to get candidates here to understand that the economy is the real issue. the Republicans were here and got the message out.

You people that agree with the DNC about pulling our delegates are wrong. WHY are Iowa and NH more important to the process than we are? WHY should Michigan behave like a nice little child and wait until AFTER Feb. 5 when this will be mostly decided, and then have a vote? We wanted to make a difference, and that was not hurting Super Tuesday. Thank you, Mrs. Clinon, for speaking up for us against the idiots who are the DNC. If they continue to disenfranchise us and Florida, we may find a candidate outside the party, and don't think we can't make a difference nationally.

Democrat in MO:
You must be delusional. The only people attempting to add race to this primary are the people working under Hillary Clinton. They're trying to force Obama into the "black candidate" profile, because if they can turn Barack Obama into Al Sharpton, they can demolish him in the white vote. It's the lowest of political maneuvers. Obama ran his entire political career above the question of race, and now the Clintons are going to use his race to beat him. It's insulting to the Democratic voters who have believed for decades that the Democratic party was actually beyond race politics. The Clintons prove that their legacy for the Democratic Party is merely a liberal version of Republican cynicism.

And I don't even see the point to responding to your other points. Since Hillary has run the worst ads and sent out a Presidential Attack Dog to do her bidding. It kinda outweighs the "wrongness" of Obama's ads. And if you want to talk about slime in politics, it's funny that you would attack Obama for a benign land deal (with a man who is not a slum lord, that part was a Clinton lie) when the Clintons are guilty of a hundred times worse.

I'm a Democrat and I'll never vote for Clinton. This is a chorus echoed across the country. The Republican party is salivating for the opportunity to knock down the Clintons. It'll be the end of the Democratic party. You think things were bad in 2004? You haven't seen anything yet.

Wow! This topic combines two political topics that I detest. Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party of Michigan and Florida. Two greedy states and one bitter politician. What a shock that the most immoral and dishonest candidate in the Democratic field wants to reward the asinine behavior of the greedy states. Florida and Michigan deserve their punishment.

Yes CNN tell me why my last 10 posts were deleted. Why are you censuring a blog when the posters do not use profanity or make denegrating remarks?

It seems that the Ron Paul supporters get deleted more than anyone else does.
It may have something to do with the fact that you are blatanly excluding him from any campaign coverage.

Shame on you. We, the people of the United States of America have a voice. Stop deleting posts that do not go against your policy.

By the way, Floraida primary ballots will have the names of ALL the current Democratic candidates on the ballot; a name would be removed only if a candidate drops out of the race completely.

It's very telling that Obama chose to "break the rules" by advertising in Florida where his name will appear on the ballot, though he supposedly doesn't think Clinton should now make a plea for (Michigan's and) Florida's delegates.

It's just magical that he can talk out of two sides of his mouth that way.

I also would like to ask the people of South Carolina to think vote for John Edwards and/or Barack Obama in their primary.

If Hillary Clinton gets a lot of votes, it will just feed into her race-baiting tactics for political gain.

Hillary Clinton is shameless because she is probably not racist herself; however, she is willing to divide the country racially for political gain. It's worse when people are so cynical that they believe others (such as the good people of South Carolina) will buy into her shameless message.

If this works for her, the people of South Carolina will be the losers because they will be put in a very negative light.

You don't have to vote for Barack Obama; John Edwards is a native son and he could use the votes. Just don't vote for the Clintons. Don't let race baiting work in this case. Please!!!
