The DNC ruling states that there will sanctions against any campaign if the committee had stripped the state of 50% of the delegates. Since they stripped 100% of the delegates there is no sanctions against any campaign wishing to campaign in the state. Neither candidate is in any violations since the DNC characterizes the Florida Primaries as just a “Beauty Contest”

Typical Clinton. She agreed with the other candidates and the DNC not to go to Florida and guess where she is? Her word means nothing to her. She is a win at all cost person without an ounce of honor. She says it is because she is the only one who cares about Florida when the truth is she is the only one who can't seem to tell the truth and fulfill her promises.
I admire Edwards and Obama for keeping their promise with great person sacrifice.
She will make a big deal out of it later that she believes all vote should be counted and the others don't. The DNC would seat the delegates in these two states if they had not moved their primary dates. This was known for months. So she lies and gets rewarded for it and the two other men hold true and she wants them to climb into the gutter after her.
How can we ever believe any of her promises when she lies so much. Hillary is not what America wants or needs. He need honor and truth in politics and the Clinton have none.

- All candidates are on the FL ballot.
- The DNC allowed candidates to fundraise in the state.
- Obama attended a fundraiser in FL last November.
- Obama is the one breaking the rules by having national ads shown in FL.

How is Hillary a "tough" woman? Her husband got more attention than she did because they needed him. I want to see a woman in the white house. But I want her to wind because she was the candidate, not because her husband is the shadow candidate. What about President Boxer? What about President Pelosi? They both have a nice ring, don't they? In regards to Florida, I wish they didn't move their primary forward. But they did and the Clintons agreed to that rule a year ago. Everyone's vote will count in the national. (hopefully)

All you Hillary-supporters sound delusional and have short memories. The DNC stripped delegates away from Michigan and Florida in late August of 2007. When Hillary was ahead in all the polls in early September 2007, there wasn't a peep out of her and her campaign. Now that Hillary is in a true battle for the Democratic nomination she wants to change the Democratic party rules.

Hillary is the only Democratic candidate pushing Florida into national attention for Democrats knowing that a win in Florida is meaningless from a delegate count but a win gets her some additional national exposure on Feb. 5th. Make the right choice!

Florida Democrats:

The Florida primary is not the General Election. It is for the Democratic Party to select a nominee. All state and local parties must abide by the party regulations if they want to remain a member of the national party. The party bosses in FL decided to move up the states primary in violation of the party rules.

If FL democrats feel disenfranchised, why didn't they take it up with their state party officials? It was well published that if the state insisted in moving its primary, its delegates wouldn't count.

Apparently, once again, FL Democrat voters are either too dumb to realize what happened or don't think the party rules should apply to them. Either way, you look ridiculous!

Either way, the 800+ super delegates outnumber the 210 FL delegates, so your vote really doesn't matter any way this year. (It's like having 4 Florida's worth of loose cannons rolling around at the convention.)

You break the rules, pay the price. Get over it!

Residents of Florida and Michigan, if you want your votes to count in the primary, than demand that the state party follow the rules. And this demand that "all" votes should count is ridiculous. If Billary really wanted everyone's votes to matter in the primaries, she would have fought for Florida and Michigan to be reinstated last year, and that all primaries/caucuses be held on the same day, so that no one is disenfranshised because their primary is late, and their choice of candidates has dropped out, or isn't doing well.

I am so torn between Obama and Hillary. As a woman, I think it's time for a woman president and I believe Hillary is a strong, "takem by the cajones" kind of woman. I think she could hold her own with any leader from any country. I also like Obama. When I heard him speak four years ago at the Democratic national convention, I was moved because I believed he would be "big" in the Democratic party. So, I will listen more intently in the next months to the both of them. You who are blasting Hillary must be Republicans, or at least many of you probably are. If you are not, it is you who are not listening to what Obama is saying about all the division in this country and about change. I agree with Mary above, if this is change, I want no part of it. George Bush and the Republicans have done a good job tearing this country apart. Sure, you have a right to your opinions, but many are so hateful and off target. Those of you who would vote Republican if Hillary is the nominee must have a short memory and don't really care about what has taken place the last eight years. This country has suffered greatly at the hands of this administration and cannot continue under Republicans "rule".

I can see why the candidates argue and bicker so much; because everytime I read the blogs individuals comments are essentially doing the same thing. Most may say its healthy debate, but if you truly read some of the comments that is not what their language suggests. And, for those who think that Hilary was campaigning, you are wrong. The pledge that all three candiates signed said they wouldn't campaign, but they were allowed to host fundraisers; which is what Hilary did. She had a private fundraiser that was no even open to the public.

This election bothers me because people on both the Democratice and Republican side are voting for individulas they "like", even though they have never met them, without even knowing what their stance is on the issues.

I urge everyone to look at the websites for all candidates, Democratic and Republican, and then vote your conscience!

We run our households. When we have a problem we turn to each other. The words we are using are the words of men. We’re repeating their words. Why is Hillary so reviled? We as women are the fabric that holds this country together. Men just take the credit. Men in general have deserted us, our children and our parents. We raised those men. We’ve coddled those men. We have stood behind them. It’s time to equal the playing field. Hillary has put up with all of their ribald jokes, attacks on her credibility, and their boiler room approach to the issues that this country faces. I see all the men who have worked in the senate coming out against Hillary and I have to ask myself why? I see men who have ran for president and lost, are against her and I have to ask myself why? I see great women of our time that have always been supported by women coming out against Hillary and I ask why? I see Democrats who have never declared for one candidate or the other, but waited until the primary was done and supported whatever man won, against Hillary. We as women are afraid to even say these things and I ask myself why. Men have no respect for us and some women have bought into their agenda. Of course this is a very sexist thing to say. They have thrown so much male sexism our way they have us living by it and considering it the gospel. Never before in the history of a presidential race has the way someone looked had so much more import, than the way that person thinks. I am tired of hearing about how Hillary’s Campaign keeps attacking those poor men. I am tired of hearing that former president Clinton will be serving four terms if Hillary wins. How dare anyone dismiss her right to have a chance because he was the president? I am tired of the mere suggestion that because he dares to give her what she gave him (loyalty) he is tainting his legacy as a president. She has put forth real solutions to the economy, the war in Iraq, healthcare etc. She knows the nuances of her solutions and she gives details. This race is no longer about the issues our country faces because the men have no comprehensive answer to Hillary’s real solutions, her intellect and her ability to stay on point, in the face of such adversity scares the hell out of men and some women. We have got to elect a woman for president. Why not now? If men do not think this woman is qualified then they think no women will ever be. She has all the goods. She is well known throughout the world. She will take a lot of power to Washington because we will be standing proudly behind her. No I do not agree with everything she says. I have voted for men that I did not agree with on all the issues but I guess that’s ok. She has to be twice as good as all the other candidates and she is.

It was very foolish of the DNC to disenfranchise the voters of Michigan and Florida. First, Democrats should never discount anyone's vote. Second, if the leadership of Florida and Michigan want to have a voice in the selection process instead of ceding the decision to Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina, then that is their business. I am tired of those states having a disproportionately loud voice in the process.

At the convention, I predict that both the Michigan and Florida delegations will be seated on a voice vote.

I think all the candidates should have campaigned there in defiance of the DNC.

As a republican, it is nice to see democrats self destruct themselves. In Nov, even if they win 90% of swing states, they will still need to win atleast one southern state to win the white house. Do they believe they have better shot at wining any southern state than Florida? Even an energized dem base fell short in 2000 by less than 300 votes. And excluding them in Primary is really going to energize them for November? May be they believe they can win Texas on their way to the White House.

Let's review...

IA- Obama won more delegates
NH – Obama and Clinton tie in delegates
NV – Obama won more delegates
MI – Clinton beat nobody, no delegates awarded
SC – Obama won more delegates

Overall, Obama is winning the vote total by a land slide....

When do we get to the part where Clinton is leading or is the front runner?

Now Clinton is going to Florida in the hope to stop the momentum Obama has gained off of SC. The people of Florida deserve to be heard, but not at the cost of dividing the Democratic party even further. The party decided (INCLUDING CLINTON) to not count the delegates in Florida.

Crazy...why would anyone vote for her? I just don't get it.
