Rafi68- actually i dont remember him saying that. They do have a different approach to universal healthcare but thats just one issue. I would say that Edwards and Clinton disagree on the issues more than he and Obama overall, including in regard to campaign financing/lobbiests and trade, 2 of edwards biggest issues.

And this ur an idot thing from a lot of clinton supporters toward obama supporters (goes the other way to). Give it a rest. Some of the smartest people in this country support obama and one of obamas biggest bases of support is people with advanced degrees. Maybe the reason they support obama is beyond ur comprehension, but many/most of hissupporters are not idiots and are thinking very clearly. Also for all the woman who desire to see a woman in the white house, which is totally understandable, take solace in some of obama's biggest supporters like senator clair mckaskil, governer kathy sebelius and gov janet napolitano who are all rissing stars in the party and may be excellent candites in the near future.

Cnn can you provide a phone number so that all of the posters that are so upset about your shoving Obama down our throats can call and complain? Or will Lou Dobbs help us? He is very outspoken about the "people of America should have their voices heard" I know why you are doing this, but everytime I post it, it never shows up.. Shame shame shame on you!

To all who make comments. Although you will have no problem using Hillary's FULL name, do not use Barak's FULL name as the moderator DOES NOT LIKE THAT.

I wonder why???

Just more CNN bias. CNN shame on you.

I am a VERY disappointed in the Republican party. I am a converted Republican planning on voting for Sen. Obama because he has the ability to build a coalition, appeal to other parties outside of his own, which will translate in getting a majority in Washington to actually get things done. I have several Republican friends who feel the same way and are supporting Sen. Obama. .

However, if it were a Clinton vs. McCain in the general, they had indicated that they will stick with the party so that the Clintons don't get back into the White House. Personally, I don't know what I would do yet.

If Hillary Clinton is the Democratic nominee - I have the feeling the Republicans will regain the White House. McCain can get the Independent votes and possibly diehard Obama supporters who would never vote for Hillary because of some of the campaign tactics played the past month against Sen. Obama.

So, I am scared that if Hillary is the Democratic nominee, we are back to nothing getting done in Washington for another 4 years. We will be back to the partisanship and gridlock we see in Washington for the past 10 or so years.

I AM NOT SUCKING UP TO CNN BUT>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

You people REALLY need to back off the Moderators. I have a few web sites of my own and the Biggest has only 40k members or so and I have 23 VOLUNTEER moderators who work their BUTTS off to keep up with all of our posts ( non- pollitical hobby site)

It takes TIME to do that job and if you keep sniveling they might take this away from us. It is EXPENSIVE to do this and I like it that we get a chance to speak out.

At a time when our country is at a HUGE turning point, at a time when our country is suffering, at a time when our men and women are risking their life on the line, it is not the time for a HUGE change. We need someone who can make a difference yes, and change is good, but experiance leads change, and Obama has none.

Why don't people see the obvious when its so obvious...

obama/edwards has potential to be the greatest ticket in history. Things will get done in washington, and our image will be greatly restored around the world, but like john said, when the agents of change stand up the voices of status quo will shout. Please people, I know we all have our disagreements, but the obvious is in our face, and we may not get another chance at something like this...

vote obama, and you'll most likely get the son of the south John edwards

America is in trouble. American have made a lot of mistakes in the last 8 years, they can not afford another mistake. People were easily cornered by propaganda and media bias. It is sad people don't learn from lesson. Obama is out of the league, although he is a good public speaker.

Hillary is not about the past, she is the one who has fighted with the Republican right wings from the begining. She is tough and has experience. People like or dislike her, but it is time for American to make right choice.

Vote for Hillary '08, '12

To our Friend " JOE"

I have discussed you ( yes you) with a few of my friends frm both sides of the isle and it is funny.. they ALL know your posts and agree on one thing. You MUST work for Hillary. WHY? you ask. Your statements are almost always empty of actual reasoning but ALWAYS say the same thing HILLARY HILLARY even on threads that have NOTHING to do with her.

NOW you say Edwards should be Hillarys VP... Why is that..because they LOOK the same...it is clear ( if you pay ANY attention) that he has been against her all along..SHE is not CHANGE. I don't know the man personally but I don't think even HE wants the heat of Turning to the Darkside JUST to get a job. He seems too image aware to do that. Go back to your $8.00hr and hour Blog for Hillary Job and work on your technique. You are too transparent.

Chances are Slim you will get to see this but at least the Moderator will know there are a FEW people out here who are smarter than stumps.

John Edwards ran an honorable campaign and succeeded in shaping the agenda for all Democratic candidates and I hope for the general election.
As John acknowledged in the last debate, he and Obama are the real candidates standing for change against the status quo represented by the Clintons.
Where I see Edwards and Obama differing is in their approach to how that change can come about... perhaps not so much a difference as that Obama's message is clearer that really achieving the changes so badly needed in this country and the world requires an active, mobilized and united citizenry. That's not just about changing faces in the White House, but a fundamental change in the way politics is conducted. Whoever is in the White House can 'fight' and 'take on' the lobbyists and special interests and corporations, but as the Clinton's failed effort for Healthcare Reform years ago illustrates, they can't win by themselves or by forming alliances of the powerful through muddy compromises. To win, we need an inspired and mobilized citizenry -- then we can't lose.

The CNN should have included Hillary's comment regarding John's getting out of the race. CNN and the press should start asking hard questions about Obama. This is becoming one-sided. Even when Senator Kennedy endorsed Obama, CNN carried it for over thirty minutes and any time Hillary is speaking, it is hardly covered for twenty minutes.

I think that the Clinton supporters got so used to Hillary being the ordained frontrunner that they just can't stand to see anyone else get any press. I find it funny because CNN = The Clinton News Network for almost 10 months on this ticker...

The fact of the matter is no one likes reading positive stories about the other candidate. Grow up!

Senator John Edwards you rock and thank you for you patience towards the glorification of Senator Obama by the cable news media.
So much for fair and subjective journalism…

The BIGGEST Loosers?

I bet they are scrambling to get an interview…but now he can tell them…Why should I…you chose to ignore me, bash Senator Clinton and all that to Showcase Senator Obama.

We don't need another so-called ivy league graduate of Harvard or Yale as President because some of them seem to think America is their personal kingdom and that they are better than other Americans. Wake up America! Obama and Clinton graduated from so called ivy league schools. Americans, you must take your country back from the ivy league elitists.

REALLY AWAITING MODERATION SINCE NOON?

John Edwards hasn't yet given his speech to leave the race and Obama is now fishing for Edwards supporters to support him.

A top Edwards aide said the former senator contacted Obama and Clinton on Tuesday, telling them he was considering dropping out of the race and asking them to make poverty a top issue of their campaigns and — if either reaches the White House — a central part of their administration.

Both candidates agreed, the aide said.

Obama is just living up to his word AS USUAL

I have a been a great fan of CNN as an independent news channel (not like FOX news) but since last couple of weeks, I am disappointed (and am sure there are may others) as CNN has become an OBAMA campaign resource. Obama’s comment about Edward gets published on CNN web site but not Hillary’s. Obama’s speach on Edwards gets coverage on CNN channel while Clinton’s comments did not even get read (even by the news caster). What is going on? How much is Obama paying CNN?

You have to be kidding, he praises John Edwards to save grace and you, CNN, will air anything about Obama, what you failed to do is air Clintons remarks that outreached more support for Edwards than Obama's. Get off the ban wagon and treat all the canidates with equality across the boards.
It is clear to see that CNN has a hight level CO that is a Obama supporter because that is all CNN talks about. It is sad that we have these issues in American Politics. Be fair in your reporting will you.

it seems that democrats are just as fond of categories as the republicans. if we dont get past this, we will lose. Obama is a post-demographic candidate...he is black AND white, therefore scary for those who cling to racial "definitions". As far as experience, he has dedicated his adult life to public service. back in 92, bill was the bright young hope and bush was "experience". the point is, "experience" can lead to cronyism and cynicism just as much as it can help understand the workings of govt. Obama is perfectly qualified to be President. It's time to let the Clintons go...

Nice to see women already bashing this."

Women will not only "bashing this", I hope women will understand what is going on and will reflect on what is happening to most of them (perhaps not to Caroline Kennedy) every day of their lives. Grotesque remarks and double standards. And all of you, all of you.. have/had mothers. But when it comes to women, you have no sense of fairness. Hillary was not treated fair and equal with the other candidates. Period.

Hillary'08!

If its about making poverty an issue and finding solutions to economic problems, it is Hillary who can be aggressive to have things done.

It's a shame that you choose by gender. What , do you think america will chenge for you personally. Do u think that mothers around the country are betrayers. Wow
extreme ignorance

The Constitution permits Bill Clinton to be elected vice-president, and if necessary to ascend for a third time to the presidency as careful attention to the language of the 12th and 22nd Amendments shows.

The 12th Amendment would allow a Clinton vice-presidency. Its language only bars from the vice-presidency those persons who are "ineligible to the office" of President. Clinton is not ineligible to the office of president, however. He is only disqualified (by the 22nd Amendment) from being elected to that office

Article II of the Constitution carefully defines exactly who is "eligible to the Office of President": anyone who is a natural born citizen, at least 35 years old, and has been a U.S. resident for at least 14 years.

I am a conservative - so I don't have a dog in the Obama / Clinton fight. It amazes me to see the Clintons accusing the media of bias. No one controls the media like they do. But if the media does not buy their spin, they are so quick to whine about bias.

What amazes me even more is to read the posts from the Clinton supporters accusing CNN and the media of bias. I don't see it. CNN is just as tough on Obama as Clinton. One week it is better for one, and then the next week is better for the other. You can't always get what you want. When the Clintons fumble, somehow it's always someone else's fault - never theirs. If they don't get the spin they want, then that's their fault. They need to suck it up and try harder - not whine. It is hard to respect that kind of behavior.

I think the whining comes from the Clintons' incredible sense of entitlement. No one has the right to control the media. That is what scares me about the Clintons - their insatiable desire for power. Hilliary Clinton reminds me so much of Richard Nixon, and although I am a conservative, even I know better than to want another Nixon.

Obama seems different. I could never vote for such a liberal candidate, but I believe that he could work well with conservatives and help get our nation back on track. If Hilliary Clinton wins, the rift in Congress and in our nation will widen. A lot of conservatives want her to win at least the nomination because they believe it will lead to a conservative groundswell and revitalization. But I am not so Machiavellian. I would like to get a peacemaker for our next president - preferably from the right, but from the left if necessary. Hilliary Clinton is the candidate of bitterness. Obama seems to be the peacemaker who can unite us rather than divide us.

SS: Edwards' supporters were already in Obama's camp, he doesn't need to covet us. A lot of us went with Edwards because he's run before and he's from the south. They're otherwise virtually identical on issues and principles. Obama has proven he's our best hope and the best choice for both national and party solidarity.

Deb, the wealthy Blacks are supporting Hillary. John Lewis, Charles Rangle and the rest of the old guard. Get the facts straight.

If you think because they are wealthy supporters and all blacks follow suit, you are very ignorant to what's going on
