John, why cant you be a Leader and not wait to see which way the wind blows. I dont understand you any more. I thought you cared about americans. now I see you are just like the others. Aleader will stand for what is right for America. You said you wanted change, My question is change of what. If you dont know by now you dont know. Billary is clearly the same as the past. Her mind set is the same as the rest. My friends and I decided to vote for any republican in protest of Billary, we want Change and that encludes the clintons. They are to poisened by washington to truely care about Americans. They been there all this time and Americans are still suffering. The clintons arent, worried about loosen their home, jobs, getting sick with no true health care. they're not cutting their medicine in half to make it lsast longer. they're not choosen between which bills to pay. My family shouldnt have to do this. my husband retired from the United States Marine Corp. I've worked any jobs thought the 29yrs of marraige with him, and we are still struggling to make ends meet, we now are taking care of my elderly parents because neither of them after working hard in america , can afford to take care of themselves. More burden on us. which we dont mind, but it shouldnt have to be this way.
John, make a decision, Help us,Help America

I don't know, its really depressing to see Hillary winning all the high delegate states. I want Obama to win the nomination. I am a woman, however, I really do not want all that drama that comes with Hillary. If the female nominee was anyone else, I wouldn't feel this way.

Obama is projected winner in Georgia and it was worth my vote. I wish he could
win but I've seen victory as an African American. I'm encouraged that one day an
African American will be President. It is time out for white Americans and now other minorities to stop thinking that an African American doesn't have the intelligence that God created everyone equal with. I believe that Martin Luther King living was not in vain, because Georgia is his hometown. The Dream is still
alive. The world and the economy, amongst other things is getting worst and worst . It is time for a change that only an African American can straighten out, and I'm a woman. I believe an African American should have his turn before a woman,
Then other minorities, in which I believe is inevitable. Understanding that the
Governor of Lousiana is Indian. That's a different mind. I would like to say that a
woman in history disobeyed God first. She was easily deceived. So that has to be
taken in consideration. I know it's Bible History. But, it is my belief that it is the truth
of the world and is a part of World History. I also remember Jessie Jackson when
he came close to being the first African American President. I wish that people
could get beyond color and see that we need a change in Washington DC.
I beleive that women saying that they want a woman for change is a facade.
Hillary is White and that's all to it. Suppose it was Condelisa Rice an African
American running against her, where does the experience goes then. I remember
Condelisa(I hope I spelled her name right) saying she wanted to be the President
of the United States. I was excited about Georgia doing the right thing and I have
a voice and looked for a way to be heard.

John Edwards is still on the ballot in Georgia. In many states, the candidates must submit to the Secretary of State a notarized Affidavit of Withdrawal. Any candidate who does not do so remains on the ballot, and any votes for that candidate are counted. This would be the case for any candidate who withdrew recently, including Giuliani. So, with the early votes not counted, and the votes today, John Edwards may have a surprising number of popular votes in these states.

-at this point in time, I don't care less who wins the nomination.
it's ironic that those issues made with good intention, so well stated to the point of becoming a life-long commitment by JOHN EDWARDS is now repeatedly used like broken sound bytes by the remaining candidates for change.

take care John -thank you for all your hardwork and down-to-earth ideals for the american people. God bless you and your family.

If Clinton wins the nomination, Democrats will lose my vote. I've had enough of baby boomers doing their bloody-knuckle hyper-partisan fighting.

I'm a GenX-er, and I and other young people believe we will finally start to get things done in this country when we start working together and leave behind the hate of the past.

Obama is the only answer for the Dems, or else they'll flush this election away, too.

My respect for Edwards just dropped several notches. He knows the right thing to do for the country is to endorse Obama. Instead, he chose the right thing for himself.

Like many voters, I always thought Edwards seemed kind of phony. Now it's clear he cares more about his career than his causes.

Take it from a native North Carolinian--the former "Senator" Edwards is a do-nothing! The man spent 5 years in the senate and there isn't ONE piece of legislation that bears his name. What was he doing all that time(rhetorical question)? On top of that, every time something came up concerning North Carolina, he turned into the invisible man. He couldn't even find ONE DAY to show up in Kitty Hawk during a year-long celebration for 100 years of flight. Elizabeth Dole was there--John Edwards was not. Oh, I forget, Elizabeth Dole wasn't running for president...

We truly all know who the right choice is. I'm so tired of hearing Obama's "Change" motto w/ little substance behind the change. When you really get down to it....what we need is Hillary. The U.S. is in such a screwed up affair that we need REAL change,,,,,change for the people that need it most--parents working 2 jobs and who can still barely make it, the uninsured, the poor, the sick. Hillary has a DEEP heart and wants the best for our country. She may not have Obama's presence or his ability to move crowds w/ her message....but if you REALLY listen and think "deep" in your heart......There is no other choice than Hillary!!

Man, these Obama supporters are ruthless. They like Edwards only if he endorses Obama. If he doesn't he is wrong. There are different opinions out there. Everyone does not support Obama or think he is black jesus. I have never seen such hateful people in my life. Why so much anger?

I hope Edwards endorses Obama.

Clintons are the status quo. They had 8 years to give us health care and failed. They lost Congress and left the Democrats *weaker* than when they started. They achieved almost nothing of substance in 8 years, and squandered their time in scandal and missteps. What makes you think they can do it this time?????

What was that quote from Einstein about stupidity being repeating the same action and hoping for a different outcome?

The Clintons were okay but ultimately a disappointment. And they haven't showed us that they have "changed" or matured in the intervening 8 years.

And I'm sorry, but Hillary is essentiall yarguing that becuase she failed and stumbled on healthcare last time, she'll do good this time. Why? Congress has to approve it. And since the Clintons will win 51% if they are lucky, there is little hope of a big mandate and big enough majorities in Congress. Indeed,. they are likely to lose Congress because they will fire up the GOP base.

We can afford to give the Clintons 16 years and risk having achieved NOTHING AT ALL after all this.

I think him not taking a stand in endorsing someone is going to help HRC. Too bad I had respect for his message now i know hes just a phony not taking a stand. Just like voting for the war , he is calculating for the next opportunity.

To the woman who said she would vote Republican if Obama gets the nomination. I feel the same way, but if Clinton is the nominee. I think McCain is more progressive than she is. Voting records seem to agree. So, I guess we'll be canceling each other out.

Edwards: voted for the Iraq War because it was popular, invested in a corrupt hedge fund, bought a multi-million dollar estate while advocating a fight against poverty, spent $400 on a haircut, and is now, perhaps, waiting to endorse the frontrunner to bolster his career. A pattern?

I hope John Edwards stays out of it and doesn't "endorse" anyone until the convention.

I am still voting for John Edwards on Feb 5th. Super-Tuesday and he can still win delegates. Then at the convention he can throw his delegates to one of the other candidates.

Great campaign John Edwards it was the hardest and most honest.

Most people don't know much about John Edwards and that is why they're rooting for him. This is a man who made several millions suing doctors and hospitals in his home state.

As a trial lawyer, he helped destroy the healthcare system of his state. Many doctors and hospitals went out of business as a result of the many frivolous lawsuits he took to court. To me, it's great hypocrisy that he now comes around touting universal healthcare for all.

He also touts his love for poor people but he has no problem spending hundreds of dollars for a haircut. If he cares so much about poor people, shouldn't he have cut his hair for about $15 - $30 like normal people do and then donate the rest to charity?

I'm glad the people of his birth state, SC saw thru all the fluff and rejected him at the polls. And I couldn't be happier when his campaign came to a shameful end either.

continue to vote for Edwards. He is the only one that can stop a sure Dem defeat in November. The MSM pushed him out of the race but the PEOPLE elect the President. This Edwards supporter will NEVER vote for Obama or Clinton.

ENDORSEMENTS . . . . .

The best thing for Edwards to do is be neutral. Another way is to be honest
as he claims he is, don't endorse either candidate. The whole world knows he was pals with Obama. Why wait until the last minute. If he is going to endorse
Obama, he should do it now.

Reminder, Obama stole from Hillary, the phrase "from day one."

Bless John Edwards and his entire family. I wonder if he's going to go the Al Gore route--stick to his issues instead of pursuing office.
As far as people threatening not to vote for the Democratic nominee, whoever it is--if you're not a troll, you're stupid. Just think of another four to eight years of disastrous Republican criminal rule.

Barack Obama made the statement in campaigning the other day that he was more electable because Hillary Clinton supporter will vote for him in the general election if he becomes the Democratic nominee but that the Barack Obama supporter will not vote for Hillary Clinton if she is the Democratic nominee.

Well unless he retracts that statement immediately in this fast paced election, for this Hillary Clinton supporter who for party unity and so did not want more Bush Whitehouse years made that statement true is now here by giving notice that it is no longer true. If I do not hear not only a retraction of this statement and a encouragement by Barack Obama for his supporters to vote Democrat no matter who ends up getting the nod as the Democratic nominee I will be setting out this election if Obama wins the nominee! He went way to far! If he waits till the convention to get all unity mode it will be to late for me! Can Barack Obama win without the votes from the Hillary Clinton supporters any easier then Hillary Clinton can without the Barack Obama supporters? It HAS been true the Hillary Clinton supporter by in large SAID they would support who ever is selected as the nominee and the Barack Obama supporters I see blog do not in kind respond in the same numbers. Now that Barack Obama is on the record as promoting this can you really call him the UNIFIER? Hillary is the unifier! Which one is dedicated to the ideals of change? HILLARY!

Edwards gets my vote on Tuesday. I'm so happy that he's not endorsing -- maybe he shares my opinion that neither Clinton nor Obama has earned his support. My hope is that Hillary and Barack will go to the convention with fairly equal numbers of delegates. I think a brokered convention would be good for the party; it would force both candidates to put aside their cautious, fence-sitting ways and prove to the delegates who really deserves the nomination.

The fact that John Edwards has not endorsed a candidate is merely a factor of his wanting to get as much out of his endorsement as he can. He will "sell" his endorsement for the highest power he can negotiate in the next administration. There is no altruism in his actions. Even his past actions on behalf of the "poor, defenseless souls" that he represented were all mercenary. How many times did he do pro bono work for the poor? He was always working for contingency fees, )i.e. if we win, I will get half of what you get from the insurance company or big corporate conglomerate).

If the "poor, defenseless souls" didn't have a surefire win, he wasn't going to represent them, because there would be no profit in it for him. I'm tired of people saying that Edwards was the voice of the poor. He merely took advantage of the poor to line his own pockets with millions of dollars. If he really felt the poor were his cause, he would live in a "modest" 5000 sq. foot home and he would be one of the largest charitable contributers in North Carolina.

He built his huge mansion from proceeds from contingency fees obtained by representing the poor. Why didn't he settle for 20% or even less and let the poor people get the bulk of the money from his legal settlements?

Given CNN's incredible pro Obama and Republican campaign - and non coverage of John Edwards during his campaign; it would sadden me deeply if he backed Obama. John Edwards stands for truth and fairness and I pray his support will follow suit.

As great a candidate as John Edwards was, at this point a vote for him is a vote wasted.

A Hillary nomination would be the greatest gift we could give to McCain and the repugs -- nothing will unify the republican party like she will.

GO OBAMA!!!!

John Edwards should not endorse anyone now. Let his supporters decide. I know he is waiting to see who wins so he could be a running mate.

Obama stole John Edwards ideas from the beginning and stole his momentum for the presidency.

I agree with Watson . I am feel that the question needs to be asked.
If Obama gets the nomination, Will those Hillary supporters throw their support to him? I dont think they will. This country is still a racist land. Both on the white side and black. I think most White voters that support Hillary will vote rebublican before they vote for a black man. I do however believe that most black voters who support Obama would still vote for Hillary before they vote for a rebublican. The Clintons are still popular in the black community and in without a black candidate they will vote for Hillary. And lets be honest. Obama won South Carolina because of black voters. He leads in the polls in Georgia because of black voters. Hes behind in all ohter states except is home state. And you cant really rely on exit polls. What people say on the record is not what they do behind the curtain. A person is not going to say they are racist, black or white. The rebublicans know all of this and are happy to see Obama get the nomination. It will be a guarantee win for them.

Primary results to the contrary, fact is that John Edwards stood the best chance against the Republican ticket.

Edwards betrayed his followers by bowing out so suddenly, when he had said just a short while before that he was in the race to stay.

And then to throw in the towel without stating WHY is a further insult to those of us who had supported him, and to those who worked for him. AND JUST DAYS BEFORE SUPER TUESDAY! Makes no sense at all/.

The only way Edwards can redeem himself is to pick himself up, dust himself off and get back in the race. Vite!
