McCain set to hit the airwaves in 20 states

McCain is set to hit the air in 20 Super Tuesday states with an ad called True Conservative.

(CNN) - John McCain is poised to purchase a "significant" Super Tuesday ad buy that will put the Arizona senator's television commercials on the air in some 20 states, campaign sources tell CNN.

The ads are set to hit airwaves in every Super Tuesday state except Utah.

The sources refused to give a specific dollar figure, but said it was a "seven figure" buy.

McCain, whose campaign of late has seen an infusion of cash, spent close to $2 million on ads in Florida alone the week before that state's crucial primary.

The news comes the same day Mitt Romney's campaign announced it was making a significant ad buy in California and some other Super Tuesday states.

UPDATE: McCain's campaign has released details of the ad it's set to run. Called "true conservative," it touts the Arizona senator's "commitment to conservative principles on economic, social and national security issues as well as his readiness to lead as commander in chief on day one. "

I am an independent voter that supports McCain, but is it just me or does anyone else see that last nights debates as well as tonights, that CNN is inciting the candidates to attack each other!!!??? I must say that the democrats are hitting more on the elements of the issues as opposed to last nights debates. I largely think that if all candidates stuck to the issues, and spelled out the differences, and detailed the policy elements in which they are running on, we as americans could make better informed decisions as to who our next president would be.

It is a shame that Romney must spend so much trying to even the playing field. McCain is the liberal biased media's fair haired boy (Grumpy Old Man) and they provide a huge amount of free press and free positive spin. He is left of center and the press love him and tout him. Romney must do something to overcome such bias. Romney is the true conservative and the press dislike him for it and McCain hates him for being a contrasting focus highlighting his left leaning tendencies. They have touted McCain as the obvious front-runner so much I fear too many people will believe and follow their carefully laid plan.

For all of you McCain fans, I hope he can keep the smirk off his face, he has a big ego. That's probably why he had so many affairs when he got back from the war and left his wife and kids for the trophy wife he has now. By the way, why aren't his kids campaigning for him? If he is the Republican nominee, I will vote Democratic.

Okay we have 3 more responses-we can do better than that on McCain's determination to get his message out to as many as he can. He's running too.

It's nice to see that John has some money to run some ads ,leading up to Super Tuesday.

Romney really hasn't gotten much bang for his MILLIONS of bucks. He strikes me as being a plastic man .Obama makes the point this is a poor example of fiscal management.

The debate last night did not serve Mitt or John well. It must be tough to come out of a hard fought campaign in Florida, fly across the country and debate the next day.

    GO JOHN

Hi John, In 2000, itself I decided to vote for you, when I was a legal immigrant living in SC. Now I am in Chicago, IL. I will vote for you as President. I shall keep my promise to my conscience. I lived in Singapore, for more than an year. The commute was so comfortable, with trains every 5 mins. Now in Chicago, what I see is "Commute is terrible, Drive to work is horrible". America needs a President like you, who listens to new ideas, and recommends them for implementation. Thumbs Up John. I am proud to support you.

"Don't waste your time in UT John, your toast there"

This is hilarious! Or maybe really sad, I'm not sure. But McCain is toast in Utah (how ever will he recover?) because everyone will cast their vote based on religion? Is that all Romney has going for him? Yes, sad indeed. Oh, guess what, you too will be an 'old man someday' – ignoramus.

No Thanks. I will write in Ron Paul!

Of course most Americans will be forced to pick between the least of two evils which nearly always leaves out the Dems!

Debby – Have you researched your dream candidate McCain at all? I mean, really given him some scrutiny? Google "McCain bad" and start reading. Do you know about the Keating Five? Do you know the reports of how he taped 32 communist-friendly radio programs while held captive? Have you heard of his quick temper and history of dropping F'bombs and calling people A'holes that he doesn't like? This all doesn't sound very presidential to me.
I encourage all Americans to do more online research before they chose any candidate. With the internet, its so easy to do, and there is hardly an excuse not to. Don't just jump full force behind a candidate without checking into their past. They all (almost all) have much to hide.

It's looks like the pundits want Obama versus McCain. They'll settle for Clinton Vs McCain which would make for a boring election. I'm an Obama supporter. I even took an objective test to see who's views match mine.

With that said, Romney is the purest of the republicans and he got shafted. I think he should truly represent the republican party. Ahnold got it wrong, Guiliani is insignificant. Newt, Romney needs you. Dole, Romney needs you. All true republicans Stand up!!!

As an independent I'm not a fan of being in IRAQ for the next 100 years, so I can't go for McCain (or Romney for that matter). but for all you true republicans, Romney-Chambliss '08.
