I love Maria Shriver and Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg. Maybe one of you will run for office eventually. I can only hope so.

Joanne   February 4th, 2008 10:23 pm ET

I will try again tonight to see if my opinion actually get;s through. I would vote for Hillary anytime. How dare Oprah and her floosy's try to tell people how to vote. You have Michelle Obama laughing at Hillary. It is forever sad to see CNN endorse Obama and forget about Hillary. When she was the runner and still is I add Obama Who??????????Michelle????it will be interesting to see all the skeleton's in their closset……no closet is empty, John f Kennedy dream on Obama… reality is not far away… Never on your life. I was in Germany in Soest when the Russian Cuban Missile crisis and I know Obama has no experience although he would like us all to think he does. i think is arrogant, conceited and demeaning. He is not at all what CNN is trying to project. LOL It will be surprising to all when we wake up and realize that the American people did not need Oprah and her gang to help us decide….I wonder if Obama were white!!!!would she be so excidted becareful Michelle….you could lose this man to a rich ………………arrogant …………. CCnn would like a story NO!!!!!!!!!!

Toronto,Canada   February 4th, 2008 10:09 pm ET

Kyu Reisch, Radcliff, Kentucky   February 4th, 2008 10:04 pm ET

Maria is Kennedy family blood, but I don't care what she did. T Kennedy will bring the bad luck for Obama.

jack   February 4th, 2008 9:51 pm ET

And it can not get any better!

mr.fair tax   February 4th, 2008 9:49 pm ET

SHE SPENT MANY -MANY THOUSANDS ON A FLOWER FOR HER WEDDING ,FLOWN IN?
SHE MAKES MONEY GOING TO THE BATHROOM!!
WHAT IN THE HECK DOES SHE KNOW OF THE LITTLE AMERICAN CITIZENS?????
GO MILITARY PEOPLE, GOD BLESS YOU !!!

Jeri   February 4th, 2008 8:21 pm ET

Maria Schriver apologized for her dress or lack of…….seems like Michelle Obama should have done the same. Making an appearance of this magnitude in capri pants and a sleeveless blouse. I don't understand…..it's not a matter of bad taste this is ……no taste and lack of good judgement.

Ted Kennedy in the dreamland state he obviously is in…..as well as Caroline are comparing Obama to JFK………this is a stretch but one thing they could not do would be to compare the spouses.

Jackie dressed elegantly as was fitting to a 'the first lady'………if the worst could possibly happen that Obama should be nominated and then worse elected as our president……..is this this manner of dress the country has to look towards as first lady.

Jesus   February 4th, 2008 8:09 pm ET

My chhildren please listen, listen to the words of love and peace, of unity and support, and of acceptance and leadership. Listen to Obama.

SH   February 4th, 2008 7:58 pm ET

If by chance Obama wins the nomination - this will be the first time that I, along with my family, will ever vote republican.

Kathy   February 4th, 2008 7:57 pm ET

Actually, if you look at some of the lastest polls they show Obama beating McCain by an average of 0.7% and Hillary losing to McCain by 1.8% in the general election.

Laura   February 4th, 2008 7:33 pm ET

If obama gets the nomination, I'll be another democrat for McCain

martha   February 4th, 2008 7:23 pm ET

The point is not whether she is some sort of celebrity or not, the point is that she would have every reason to stay home and keep quiet and vote republican, but she doesn't because she believes that Obama is the best candidate. That kind of crossing party lines to get good things done hasn't been seen in a long, long time. And I think it shows that Obama offers perspectives that people really want. No, I don't mean some kind of buzz word that has been hyped into oblivion, I mean real change, like having decent wages, less poverty, better education, dignity in old age, help in illness, a less corrupt political system, peace, allies across the globe…When you read his programs, you can see that he actually has realistic plans and therefore a good chance to make some of these things happen! I think ultimately that is what appeals to people and what makes people like Maria Shriver go out and do her bit for his campaign - because it is just good for us.

AtlantaVoter   February 4th, 2008 6:51 pm ET

Oh wow! I can sleep tonight!

I had no idea who to vote for and was hoping Maria Shriver would tell me….do these people really think it makes a difference to us who they think we should vote for? That we are so disenfranchised as to vote for who we are told to vote for? That we would give away something so precious as our vote based on what someone who's life has no relationship to ours thinks?

Oh, yes…we are talking about Obama supporters…yes, yes of course they would!

Who are these people?

Hillary Clinton 2008

A doer — not just a talker!!

OBAMA4EVER   February 4th, 2008 6:26 pm ET

Watch Hillary's video supporting Walmart back when she sat on their board

That is the real Hillary for you!

OBAMA4EVER   February 4th, 2008 6:24 pm ET

Hillary trolls please stop blaming CNN for their balanced coverage…it's not CNN's fault that Hillary is always the center of negative news…she creates her own negative news!

OBAMA4EVER   February 4th, 2008 6:23 pm ET

Eh Jim most Americans would vote for McCain before they vote for the most polarizing figure in American history- Hillary Clinton

Janel, St. Paul, MN   February 4th, 2008 6:21 pm ET

And Jim, if Hillary is the candidate for the democrats, I will vote independent!

jake   February 4th, 2008 5:57 pm ET

hillary running against Obama, oprah, kennedys etc etc.

catherine   February 4th, 2008 5:57 pm ET

And? She also picked Ahh-nald for a husband.

These Kennedys are so terrified of the Clinton name overshadowing the Kennedy name. Sad.

HILLARY CLINTON '08!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NOT MERELY PROMISES OF "CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN" BUT CHANGE THAT CAN BE DELIVERED!!!

V from St. Louis, Mo   February 4th, 2008 5:53 pm ET

"Jim" you are truely a trader!! How could you dare say something like that? Because your cannidate didn't make it?! I'm a "True" Democrate.

Obama/ Clinton 08!!

Bev, Houston   February 4th, 2008 5:11 pm ET

Shriver has always been a Democrat like the rest of her family. Her husband has always been Republican and they are still together. There go the uneducated followers of Hilary Clinton that I have been hearing about.

Jim   February 4th, 2008 5:02 pm ET

Jim is right. Obama nomination=McCain Presidency means that if Obama is the nomination, then I, a demoncrat will vote for McCain.

Brandy, NJ   February 4th, 2008 5:02 pm ET

You know if this was Clinton … the headline would be A LOT more negative from CNN … something like "more from the old guard family … more from the political machine …. blah blah blah or …. Clinton Manipulating Gender Card ……

But it is Obama … so okay … we'll give him some positive coverage.

Well one thing is for sure as I sit here and count how many positive stories there are on Obama vs. the negative stories for Clinton … Obama got a lot of free advertising in this campaign.

Obama made some snide remark about him not knowing if he is running against Hillary or Bill or both - he gets confused.

Well HIllary is certainly running against Obama, Oprah, and CNN.

Rob, Virginia   February 4th, 2008 4:59 pm ET

I don't trust hillary. She'll say and do anything to get elected. The only reason she's even still in this election is because women feel they need to get one of their own elected. Why Hillary? I'm all in favor of electing a woman president. But not one that will eat babies to get elected.

Sharon   February 4th, 2008 4:57 pm ET

Just four states so far and already OVER 232,000 MORE votes for HILLARY than Obama….what does that tell you??????
You go girl :)

Tina ny, ny   February 4th, 2008 4:53 pm ET

SIght of Carolina, Oprah, Michelle, Maria together reminded me of group of girls ganging up on one in this case Hillary. This stand for me nothing other than bullies. I hope women see this

Vote Hillary

BlackHouse   February 4th, 2008 4:45 pm ET

Welcome to the change! Lets change the WhiteHouse!

anonymous   February 4th, 2008 4:37 pm ET

Wasn't Hillary a Republican?

AJ, IL   February 4th, 2008 4:34 pm ET

It is okay Laura. You will not be considered a traitor to your gender if you don't vote for Hillary. Like Oprah said, "You are a free woman…able to make up your own mind".

Obama in '08!

Jim, Youngwood, Pennsylvania   February 4th, 2008 4:15 pm ET

Once again the man touted as the "CHANGE" candidate is backed by some old has been hack whom has a husband supporting the Republicans. Not much of a change if you ask me.

Obama nomination=McCain Presidency

When national security comes to the forefront again before the fall election, who should democrats have the 10 pound weakling in Barak or the experienced and credentialed Hillary? I can't vote for someone who's willing to do a photo-op with all the dictators of the world.

Can anyone say McCain democrats if Barak gets the nomination?

Laura   February 4th, 2008 3:16 pm ET

There is no comparison between Obama and JFK. Obama would never have been able to stare down Russia as JFK did during the Cuban Missle Crisis. He didn't even have the courage to come back from campaigning to vote on the Iranian issue as both McCain and Clinton did. I know I will probably be moderated out since CNN doesn't like too many criticisms of their candidate

Kevin from Seattle   February 4th, 2008 3:16 pm ET

You know what is nauseating is you Hillary CNN conspiracy theorist. She had a 20-30 pt. lead. This race was Hillary's race to lose. Large leads in every state and nationally, and what happened? I'm a African-American John Edwards supporter. I had concerns from the start with both Barack and Hillary on their electability (Barack-experience and in my opinion–Hillary's divisive/polarizing personality). Hillary had the money, the political group support in each state, and the last name. And what happen? Bill's big mouth, her teary up, and quite frankly, SHE IS NOT BILL!!! Too mechanical, loses her message, and SHE VOTED FOR THE WAR!! I gave her the benefit of the doubt after Bill's South Carolina Antics but listening to their debate last week and Hillary's response on the war. She would have done much better just saying, "I was wrong, and I want to make it right". But after reading this blog, my vote is going to Obama……..I voted for Bill in both election and never voted outside my Demoncratic Party, but you Hillary supporters are blinded by Bill that he can't do no wrong. Oh yeah, her 35 yrs..tells me that she can't be the solution of the political process that she grew up in. So count as a anti-"The Clintons" voter and I will go with McCain in the fall if Obama doesn't get the nomination. Thank you for making my decision so much easier. OBAMA IN 08!!!!

Chirs   February 4th, 2008 2:36 pm ET

I would like to see an Obama / Shriver ticket.

BM   February 4th, 2008 2:35 pm ET

I am now pumped up about an Obama / Shriver ticket

alaska   February 4th, 2008 2:32 pm ET

Hillary for US President in 2008.

Obama for VP? (He'll learn so much)

Come on people, we need someone with experience,.

Young age and charisma will not take care of the issues
surrounding our country.

Carole   February 4th, 2008 2:32 pm ET

Maria, hope Hillary wins in spite of the media, the Kennedys and Oprah. If not, Jonn McCain should start smiling!!

Simon, VA   February 4th, 2008 2:29 pm ET

I wouldn’t let a first year medical student perform surgery on me so why would I elect a freshman senator to be my president. Maybe I'm "old school" as my kids say, but to me political experience counts more than how loud your audience yells.

Frank Brown   February 4th, 2008 2:26 pm ET

No Body Wonted to see Cliton Back in the White House, Hillary just can not do the job.The right person for the white house is Mr. Obams, he vave all the tools.Hillary is a waisted

Silas   February 4th, 2008 2:23 pm ET

Another cry from Hillary only this time it won't work "Hillary Clinton became teary-eyed during an event at Yale University Monday — a moment that harkened back to her much talked-about display of emotion on the eve of the New Hampshire Primary.

enomisa   February 4th, 2008 2:20 pm ET

HERE'S A THOUGHT. WHY DON'T ALL YOU OBAMA SUPPORTERS WHO HAVE SURRENDERED YOUR RIGHT TO VOTE TO THE RICH AND FAMOUS- JUST STAY HOME ON ELECTION DAY AND LET THEM VOTE FOR YOU.
DO YOU THINK OPRAH, CAROLINE AND MARIA SHARE THE EVERYDAY STRUGGLES AND CONCERNS THAT YOU DO? WAKE UP FROM THIS MEDIA CIRCUS AND FACE THE PROBLEMS WE MUST DEAL WITH AS A NATION. I LOVE OPRAH AND MARIA AND CAROLINE- BUT I WILL NOT LET THEM TELL ME HOW TO VOTE. MY VOTE COUNTS AND IS AS VALUABLE AS THEIRS. AND NO ONE IS BUYING MY VOTE. CONTINUE TO BE THE WAVE HE RIDES. SOUNDS LIKE FUN FOR HIM- BUT WHAT DOES THE COUNTRY GET OUT OF IT?

Mike   February 4th, 2008 2:19 pm ET

To patty don't

A) she was a respected journalist many years ago
b) how does being the wife of a govenor of antoher state really matter to me. its irrelevant unless she has done something in that role.
c) does part of the kenedy clan make you better or worse to provide endorsements??hmm

I would say its being covered because obama and oprah are involved. pres bush could endorse clinton and we wouldnt see it here.

Silas   February 4th, 2008 2:18 pm ET

The Clintons tried something in SC, but unfortunately it didn’t work, what else will they try this time? GO Obama!!!!!!!!

PT   February 4th, 2008 2:17 pm ET

Maria Shriver looked RIDICULOUS up there with Oprah Winfrey and company! What a disgrace for the first lady of California to go "HOLLYWOOD" when people are losing their homes ALL ACROSS YOUR STATE!

ps   February 4th, 2008 2:01 pm ET

Hey Shriver,

Better you cook for Arnold. You don't have to cook for a true democrat.

Dave   February 4th, 2008 1:56 pm ET

Can any HRC supporter tell me what legislation she drafted that was voted on or became law? What are her positions legislations that are important to the American people and why did she vote yes or nay on each draft?

I am not an OBAMA supporter or a HRC supporter. I want to know the facts. I am leery to vote for someone that was out smarted by Bush.

JohnArk   February 4th, 2008 1:54 pm ET

This really makes me feel as if he is pulling all of these celebs in to his campaign to try and win the vote for him. Does he really think that people who actually have a brain are not going to catch on to this?

Johnathan
Little Rock, AR

Don   February 4th, 2008 1:53 pm ET

Tammy Bruce said that voting for McCain is like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

John, NC   February 4th, 2008 12:50 pm ET

Amen to "Dr. Feelgood"!

This is what I've been saying all along - OBAMA's fuzzy, emotion-laden messages cannot solve a thing. They wear off ! Then what?

Fellow Democrats, let's not set this guy up for failure! He'll be good as HILLARY's VP and learn some more before making a shot for this high office.

Hillary is ready to truly make amazing changes for our country - the new Green Economy, Health Care, National Security, you name it, and her plans are right on target to take America to the next higher level!

Go HILLARY '08

Chris, Middletown, CT   February 4th, 2008 12:23 pm ET

Only dopey HRC supporters would believe that Maria Shriver would support Obama to help the Republicans win….look at the latest polls (as much as they mean) - in a head to head Clinton vs McCain - McCain wins….in a head to head with Obama….he loses….people will not…(and cannot) vote for Hillary….

Matt   February 4th, 2008 11:55 am ET

Why is Maria's endorsement a "betrayal"? Do you honestly think she has to vote for someone just because they share the same genitals? Can't someone just vote for who they prefer, and have it not based on something external? If a man votes for Hillary, is he less than a man? People, seriously, get over it! Vote for who you like and respect those who've chosen another candidate. No one is betraying anyone, people.

Now if Chelsea voted for Obama, that I could see as being a betrayal. haha What an endorsement that would make!

Az Independant   February 4th, 2008 11:55 am ET

Maria Schriver's endorsement is like a fart in a windstorm.

yoda   February 4th, 2008 11:54 am ET

Kennedy, "If I drive Hillary home, can I be Vice President?"

charlotte   February 4th, 2008 11:43 am ET

I heard she just came from a horse show, that could explain the, rode hard, put away wet look?

Kathy   February 4th, 2008 11:20 am ET

To Myra, I watched Mrs. Obama on C-Span. She was yelling, scowling and shaking her finger in anger the whole time.

I live in California. She might be something with the wine and cheese crowd that Obama attracts, but she is never mentioned in the state.

Ugh! all of this coverage of Obama is nauseating.

Oscar, Rio Vista, CA   February 4th, 2008 11:15 am ET

I was thrilled when I saw Maria Shriver walk out onto the stage. This is a woman who has been backing her husband in his political life, but found it important to come out and tell women that they should vote for who they think is right. California has never had a say in who should be president before and tomorrow is our chance. We need to vote for who we believe is right for this country. She was just showing women that we have a voice of our own. We don't have to follow in the footsteps of the men in our lives.

tberry325   February 4th, 2008 11:14 am ET

Yes we can…Go Obama. The Clinton supports are getting really scared as the polls tighten.

Yes We Can.

Jason NYC   February 4th, 2008 11:09 am ET

Isn't she a republican? She's married to the Terminator, right? I would expect this endorsement doesn't mean much to democrats.

Mark   February 4th, 2008 11:09 am ET

People are tired of Hiliary and her tactics, and it shows, sad how you people hate a man who wants change just because he might end the Clinton's entitlement to power.

Kathy   February 4th, 2008 10:57 am ET

Strong, independent, intelligent woman, speaks from her heart joining other strong, independent, intelligent women endorsing Obama. I'm on board.

MW, CA   February 4th, 2008 10:51 am ET

Who cares????????????????

margie   February 4th, 2008 10:46 am ET

If anybody wants to see a list of Hillary;s endorsements please go to her website.
CNN is too biased. You will not see the list here.
I hope Super Tuesday will show CNN that it is not fair to give biased reports and endorse a candidate throught the backyard.

Jenny, TX   February 4th, 2008 10:44 am ET

It's just worst. My family and I are still for Hillary. We want to pick a president who is more ready for the job based on her solid records, her experiences, her capability.Absolutely not because the words and the inspirational sensation. We are tired of a president who would make his decisions based on his advisors

Dr. Feelgood   February 4th, 2008 10:42 am ET

I am disturbed by this Nation's adoption of the rhetoric from this feelgood candidate Obama. People are comparing him to John F Kennedy. JFK was cut down in his prime while in office and we have placed him on a pedestal. But people fail to recall that the man was completely unprepared for the top office in this country. Sure he could speak. Sure he looked good on camera. But when it came down to the tough decisions, he almost plunged this country into WWIII. He had absolutely no foreign relations experience and felt that his feel good mantra could get him through as leader of the free world.

Senator Clair McCaskill of Missouri has recently endorsed Obama. She was not going to endorse either candidate because he advisors helped her weigh the risks and rewards of siding with either powerful Clinton or charismatic Obama. So, she agreed to stay neutral. THEN, her 18 year old daughter who has a crush on Obama warned her mother that if she did not step up and endorse Obama, "I'm never talking to you again". I'm not making this up. Read the Feb 11 edition of Time magazine. Her daughter told Claire that she noticed how she teared up whenever she listened to Obama speak.

Our children are very motivated by emotion. After the movie Top Gun, we had a record number of recruits trying to become Navy fighter pilots. But this country is not run by 18 year olds. The governments of other nations are not run by 18 year olds. They will not be fooled by emotion. They respect power. They don't respect someone who skips votes because they don't have the courage to stand up and make a decision.

It is said that Obama's campaign is the first in history to be carried so far on the backs of the young. Obama's win in Iowa came almost entirely from voters under the age of 25.

Wake up America. Emotional speeches will not govern a country. Obama does not have the political credibility throughout the Globe that Hillary has. Emotion wears off and we will wake up in bed the next morning wondering what the heck happened if we select Obama. Take off the "beer goggles" now and look past the hype. What is left?

texas girl   February 4th, 2008 10:40 am ET

IT IS PLAIN TO SEE BY THESE BLOGS THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE ON HERE AGREE WITH ME THAT THIS IS A BETRAYAL TO HILLARY! SHE HAS WORKED VERY HARD TO GET WHERE SHE IS AS A WOMAN AND TO HAVE OTHER WOMEN DOING THIS SHOWS THAT THEY ARE NOT READY, OR LACK THE GUTS TO ADVANCE IN SOCIETY! I LOOK UP TO HILLARY! SHE WAS TOUGH WAY BEFORE IT WAS POPULAR TO BE! I RAISE MY GIRLS TO BE THE SAME WAY! HILLARY IS EXPERIENCED AND READY TO LEAD THIS COUNTRY OUT OF THIS RECESSION AND OUR PEOPLE OUT OF IRAC! AND I KNOW THAT SHE CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!
YOU GO GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!! FLORIDIANS FOR HILLARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hillphil   February 4th, 2008 10:37 am ET

Who is schriver?

Patty Don't   February 4th, 2008 10:37 am ET

Why is the media covering this? It's because Maria Shriver is A) a respected journalist; B) the wife of the sitting Republican governor of California, and C) is part of the Kennedy Clan. Thats why. Just because she isn't supporting Clinton, her opinion doesn't matter?

SPQR753   February 4th, 2008 10:34 am ET

SO WHAT?

Would she shop at a different supermarket if I'd suggest her to take her money somewhere else?

I DON'T THINK SO.

JP   February 4th, 2008 10:34 am ET

Maria Shriver and Caroline Kennedy are not politicians. Maria is a journalist. Caroline is a lawyer and philanthropist.

Neither has supported a presidential candidate in a primary before (except for their uncle Ted in 1980).

That's why it is newsworthy.

I am getting tired of the "Kennedy Endorsement Scorecard" though.

CHERYL   February 4th, 2008 10:32 am ET

Bravo to Maria for standing up for Barack. As the wife of a sitting governor who is backing a Republican candidate, she could have sat this one out. Her speech was very inspiring.

queenbee   February 4th, 2008 10:27 am ET

Gee…I wonder who will be sleeping on the sofa in the California Governor's mansion this week? That's a house divided if ever there was one…

Not voting for Hill is hardly Betraying women. Jeez….talk about short sighted.

Kevin, Illinois   February 4th, 2008 10:25 am ET

an in-depth look at Clinton’s claim that she has brought change to people’s lives for 35 years. “Clinton worked at the Children's Defense Fund for less than a year, and that's the only full-time job in the nonprofit sector she's ever had. She also worked briefly as a law professor.

Clinton spent the bulk of her career — 15 of those 35 years — at one of Arkansas' most prestigious corporate law firms, where she represented big companies and served on corporate boards. Neither she nor her surrogates, however, ever mention that on the campaign trail. Her campaign Web site biography devotes six paragraphs to her pro bono legal work for the poor but sums up the bulk of her experience in one sentence: ‘She also continued her legal career as a partner in a law firm.'”

Clinton did public service work during her time at the Rose Law Firm in Little Rock. She served on the board of the Legal Services Corp. during and took on several tasks as the state's first lady. But these were all activities on the margins of her professional life, working as a corporate lawyer, representing corporations.

NO, They will vote for anyone who belives in global warming, while flying their private jumbo jets, huge SUV'S, ships, and 3 or 4 homes. They are MADE FROM WOOD. Save a tree. Such enviromentalist. So I say, do not listen to these people.

Such a double standard………..

Whenever a strong woman makes up her own mind to support Obama, Hillary supporters voting with their genitalia say that person is stupid — as if voting gender makes them smart. I can't wait to read the posts to this ticker.

Obama has the big momentum right now. Latest polls have him ahead in California and Shriver's endorsement gives the Obama campaign even more energy and could help give Obama the push he needs to take the state.

If he just breaks about even in California it would be a big win for Obama, and if he wins California he will be tough to stop.

Yes we can!
Obama 08

Once again, who cares who's picking who?! What makes a Maria Shriver, Oprah Winfred or Caroline Kennedy votes bigger than any of us? After all, they have their own interest when picking a candidate and most of their interests are not even close to an average American's.

Anyone who is voting for a candidate based on a celebrity endorsement should be ashamed fo themselves, and hopefully, and they can use Bushes' stimilus package to buy an opinion of their own.

Thank you for showing that strong, intelligent, free wowen know the REAL meaning of feminism. The pandering from the competition disguised as feminism and equality for all being packaged and peddled out in the most transparent of dog and pony shows makes me want to barf!

My favorite quote from UCLA yesterday: : "Don't play me for small."

Hallelujah! Amen! America and sisters unite!

Independent Voter, New York   February 4th, 2008 9:47 am ET

Surprise, surprise… another bleeding heart liberal for Obama. Obama was named the MOST liberal (number 1) last week. CNN will not mention that though. Don't worry though, it will be brought up when or if he wins the DEM nomination.

Claire   February 4th, 2008 9:46 am ET

well, this from the woman that married Arnold because she wanted to scape politics….precious.

I guess she had to pay Oprah back for the favor, eh?

HILLARY FOR PRESIDENT

sandy   February 4th, 2008 9:45 am ET

This kind of muscle power on display yesterday is making me uncomfortable.

eddy   February 4th, 2008 9:45 am ET

WOW ! WOW ! WOW ! I WAS WATCHING C-SPAN WHEN I THOUGHT MICHELLE WAS FINISHED SPEAKING BUT SAID SHE WANTED TO BRING OUT SOMEONE ELSE. I THOUGHT O.K. MAYBE ANOTHER STATE POLITICIAN BUT WHEN MARIA WALKED OUT I WAS SHOCKED AND AMAZED AND SHE SPOKE SO ELEGANTLY AND CONVINCINGLY THAT YOU FELT THE MOMENT. LOOKING AT THE WOMEN ON THAT STAGE AND HEARING WHAT THEY SAID MOVED ME IN A WAY THAT I WILL REMEMBER ALWAYS. THEY EPITOMIZED TO ME ALL WOMEN NO MATTER OUR RACE, FAITH OR POLITICS. I THINK EVERY YOUNG GIRL AND EVERY WOMAN SHOULD TAKE THE TIME TO WATCH IT ANYWAY THEY CAN.

Christopher   February 4th, 2008 9:33 am ET

A Republican Senators wife endorsing a Demoratic candidate tells me one thing…she is working for the regime..Geesh… They are sooooo afraid of Hillary that they are pushing to see Obama as the nominee..I would imagine that they feel that since they can't compete with Hillary what so ever that Obama being a FRESHMAN would be much easier.

Oporah, Geesh I dont know how she makes a claim of Barak being brilliant when he trully hasnt done anything brilliant yet. I don't dislike him nor do I think that he isnt capable of good things. I simply feel that he doesnt mout up to half the candidate that Hillary is. I genuinely feel that they Republicans are trully afraid of what I think may be a 16 year hold on the White House if Hillary is the nominee and there becomes a Clinton/ Obama ticket. I am willing to bet my money that you wont see Ms Schriver riding the same wagon if there is a Clinton Obama ticket.. Hence her objective will not have been served.

Joann   February 4th, 2008 9:32 am ET

Who cares about Maria Shriver! If people vote for someone just because of their "backers" then they deserve what they get out of their country. If you vote for says "Hitler" just because Oprah says "he's good, vote for him", then you deserve what you get. Remember, we're trying to make positive changes in this country. Anything right now is a change from the Republicans but we also need someone with the experience and "White House" influence to make those changes. Who cares who Stumps for who - that's not what this race is about so on Super Tuesday I hope everyone does the right thing because it's a long 8 years if you don't.

TMR   February 4th, 2008 9:32 am ET

This is what hope does: it moves people to follow their truth…to be courageous, to take a stand…to not settle for the status-quo, and to demand more of ourselves and our national representatives. This is a historical moment, not just for the race and gender of the two democratic contenders–it's historical because for the first time in a long time, the old-fashioned feel good values are returning to the political sphere. No more of the divisive, fear tactics that have plagued the Clinton and Bush administrations. It's time to turn the page in our national consciousness, and I'm so proud to be voting for Barack Obama!

Karen from Minnesota   February 4th, 2008 9:29 am ET

Can't we make up our own minds? Why do we need celebrities to tell us how to vote? Their world view is very different from the man-on-the-street.

Bryce   February 4th, 2008 9:26 am ET

I hope people aren't this gullible….

Oh wait. We might have a problem here…

Ray   February 4th, 2008 9:26 am ET

So its 9am and CNN already has 3 pro-Obama reports in The Ticker??
I hope Obama and his cult members know that the ONLY reason he is doing as well as he is because the MEDIA has pushed him and The "OLD" Politicians that Obama has said he is so different from (another one of his many lie's) have backed him. I guess picking someone just because they can give a fancy speech that he did not write is how you pick a President. I will LAUGH when he is killed in the general Election. I have gotten to the point when I don't think I could even support my party and vote for him.

namata   February 4th, 2008 9:25 am ET

WHAT'S NEW??

Apollo   February 4th, 2008 9:20 am ET

Her husband picks McCain…hmm…house divided can not stand!

No surprise that Ah Nuld would support mcCain, Maria is, afterall, a Kennedy…so McCain winning in the GOP would help them with their goal–getting a liberal candidate elected!

Obama v. McCain

Young, fresh, new, happy versus, old crotchety, snarky, ugly, pessimistic.

Old loses every time.

Jen   February 4th, 2008 9:20 am ET

She's half rRepublican isn't she??? Of course she wants McCain to beat obama to the ground. With Hillary, McCain doesn't stand a chance.
Hillary all the way to the White House!!!

Ray   February 4th, 2008 9:19 am ET

and? Who is she and why should I listen to her?
