A vote for Hillary is a vote for Bill. He had his chance and was almost impeached why would any one want him a third time. Hillary's experience is Bill's failures also. It is easy to recognize that . We want a Radical Change in Govermment. Barack represent that change. Marion

So Mike Huckabee has yet to win an actual presidential primary ELECTION. He won Iowa's caucuses and won West Virginia's convention by the good graces of Senator McCain.

This doesn't bode well for the GOP as the American people will ELECT our next president.

Surely the GOP can find someone better than Mike Huckabee to be the Republican standard bearer.

POLITICAL DECOY

I think political attacks are good (as long as they do not go as far as the Dems in SC); it raises concerns and questions that need to be addressed. Personal attacks are inappropriate and show lack leadership character (as pointed out in regards to Huckabee not being fit for the Oval Office). McCain has not done either of these. I do think what happened in WV was politically unethical. Is this going to become a political strategy we want to be employed in the future: political decoy? This would come back to greatly hurt American politics and Democracy worldwide. If McCain is endorsing Huckabee, so be it and then he should drop out of the race. If he did not “orchestrate” it, then he has little control and shows poor leadership. Whoever wins in the end, whether it be Clinton, McCain, Obama, Romeny, or Huckabee, let’s at least preserve our dignity and individual significance as voters without behind the scene political favors and deals.

Logic, please?

Yes, multi rounds eliminates candidates to focus supporters. But McCain was not "knocked" out or was his 15%. Thus logically if votes were appropriately casting then he would have >15% in the next round pulling a percent or two from Paul. This could have pushed for a third round between Huckabee and Romney. If then Huckabee won, good for him. But in the case of what happened there was political fraud. Huckabee - political decoy.

McCain had >15% of the supporters, but just didn't want Romney to get the delegates. So his 14% voted for Huckabee (plus 3% form Paul). That equals 51%. Simple enough. Math 101. Romney got 7% of Pauls 10%. So, you figure?

Why is McCain so affraid? He most likely will win anyways. Nixon was afraid.

Hey, remember that not too long ago we wanted our troops home? Now that the economy is in the dumps we are more concerned about our money. I guess I can't say I'm surprised. Maybe if we brought our troops home we could save enough money to boost the economy. If only there were a candidate that said they would immediately bring the troops home and bring financial stability. ; )

Mitt Romney is effectively destroying the Republican party. He is using millions to run as the only true conservative choice when in fact he is the most liberal of the candidates.

In doing this, he has completely smeared the obvious choice for president, the true pro-life, pro-family, pro-military, small government Republican Mike Huckabee.

Thus, we are going to get Mr. Want to Please the Liberals John McCain. Way to go Romney. You destroyed our party! Congratulations. Since you are a liberal guy, this was probably your aim all along.

All of you whining about "dirty politics" didn't mind when the candidates delegates pooled together to form a "family values" plank to take first place away from Ron Paul in Louisiana. By the way Huckabee gave 3 delegates to Ron Paul in West Virginia for his delegate support ! So Huckabee gets 15 not 18.

Wake up Conservatives - this is exactly the type of sleazy, Washington insider "leadership" you'll get from John McAmnesty--back-room, self-serving deals

You mud throwers who claim to know what you dont are making your own candidates look bad. Huckabee is the only candidate worth voting for in the general election. The rest are not worth the time to cast my vote.

*

Huckabee is the Clinton's new Perot Factor, with no need to save the "spoiling" for the general election, as McCain has no chance of competing nationally. What the Clinton machine plans to do to McCain in the general election will make the "swift boating" move look like childs play. McCain's "hero" status will become "zero" status, "in technicolor". One need not look too deeply into Huckabee's ethics, team, donors and background to do the Clinton-collusion math. The Clinton's KNOW the value of the Perot Factor. AND THE CLINTON MACHINE KNOWS — installing McCain is the only way Hill can win; that to install McCain the conservative vote must be split. Enter the Huckabee / Perot Factor. Child's play. Huckter's a Clinton shill, plain and simple, but laughably, McCain thinks the Huck's working for him. McCain is blinded by ego, anger and ambition…. Anon

Win or lose in WVa, [R] = LOSER in Nov. All you [R] LOSERS supported a LOSER president for 8 years and a LOSER congress for more than 10 years. You have LOSER policies, and a LOSER ideology. You can bet that I'll savor every second of your LOSS in Nov. And when Hillary or Barak sit in the oval office and bash the remnant [R]s in congress, extinguishing the rest of those LOSER policies, I will take great pleasure in the whining rhetoric that will be sure to follow from your favorite [R] blowhard leaders and talkshow hosts and all you wing-nuts on this thread. Let the festering hate-mongering on the right begin!.....oh, that's right, it never stopped.

Did everyone think it would remain Romney ahead by a few votes? They hold a revote for a reason. It gives the voters of the other candidates to change thier votes so there can be a clear winner. This is how caucuses work. This is not a primary. This is not dirty politics but rather how a caucus works. Only one revote is actually rather good.

The fix was in, just as it was in FL with Crist. The timing on that had been planned well in advance. The brokered deal to swing votes from mcCain to Huckabee to keep Romney from winning also fixed. Back room deals and Washington politics, same old crap from the same old man, with the Huckster in the back pocket. Sick isn't it?

That IS what happened!, to the tune of 15% (all but 1%) switched over to Huckabee when it was clear that McCain couldn't win, and this was on the behest of the McCain campaign as stated by his own supporters. TELL IT LIKE IT IS CNN!!!

Gee, lots of people LIKE the idea of a second vote. Now it's "dirty politics" ?

In any case, for me it's GO DEMOCRATS in 2008!

I am a Southern Baptist and quite truthfully Mike Huckabee scares me. The thought of changing our Constitution to go along with the Bible is not what our founding fathers had in mind. We are a nation of many beliefs and up until now we have got along pretty well. Change the Constitution and all that will be lost.
I try to keep my mouth shut in church, but then my church is not all that political. Our pastor says his vote is private and so are ours.

You are all very sad. Why can't he just win. Talk about whining. How terrible to talk about the people of West Virginia like that. And I am still trying to figure out how it could possibly have been planned betweeen Huckabee and McCain. They knew that it would go to 2 rounds and all? Could someone please explain how this could have possibly been plotted?

Huckabee is supposed to be a man of GOD. Instead he is behaving as a spoiler. At this point he has no chance to win. He is obviously helping McCain. That will back fire.
Edward made a good decision a couple days ago. He knew that he couldn't win anymore. He existed graciously to let the real contest happen between OBAMA and the two Clinton's.
