Clinton camp reports $8 million since Super Tuesday

(CNN) - Hillary Clinton’s campaign said Friday it had raised more than $8 million online since polls closed in California, and nearly $10 million since February 1.

In a conference call with reporters, Clinton communications director Howard Wolfson also said much of that money had come from roughly 75,000 new donors.

Wolfson added that the campaign will be able to spend roughly as much on television ads in upcoming contests as Barack Obama’s campaign – despite the fact that the Illinois senator has been on the air in states that vote over the next few days since well before the Super Tuesday votes.

Clinton’s campaign will begin airing ads today in states voting over the next few days, and will purchase airtime in Texas and Ohio next week.

You know, if the Democrats had winner take all contests like the Republicans do, Hillary would be way out in front. She would probably be in the same position as John McCain is now: enjoing a clear lead with all the momentum behind her. Also, if the DNC hadn't been so stupid as to declare Florida a non-factor, the victor would be more clearcut.

I think it is a shame to spend so much of the Democratic time and resources on a primary battle which could eventually split the party. Hillary Clinton is the leader of this party and I think it would be much smarter to line up behind her at this point in time. Let Barack gain experience, and a better understanding of how the world works, then he can be the overwhelming favorite in 2016.

Come on Democrats....do the smart thing. End the confusion and support Hillary Clinton in 2008!

And how much of it was part of the $5 million and possibly $20 million loan that Hillary is making to her own campaign? And why would she invest so much for a $400,000 job if it were not for special interests? I think I would go with the candidate that has more individual support, like Obama, than Hillary. She seems to have more support of special interests who she will owe as well as her own personal interests. More people seem to be speaking with Obama.

As a new immigrant to this country, I am shocked by the way the Media, and CNN specifically, is so abviously pro-Obama.

Will CNN address this issue? I am sure I am not the only person who thinks CNN is biased, right?

So after her loan, she raised only $3 million. Not a big deal for a Clinton. Weren't the Clintons supposed to be this big money organization going into this? Maybe their support has moved to Obama.

How much of that is her own money? $10mil – $5mil = still less than Obama.

OK. Cnn keeps showing how much Hillary of Obama raise. First it was 6 mill, then it was 7.5 mill. Now it is 8 mill.
I suggest you wait an hour or two when you decide to post the next mill, because in all liklihood, it is just going to go up.
Besides, I feel really creeped out that we have to pay for our next President nowadays.

Obama is pulling in far more money from more donors and he is not having to make any loans to his campaign. That tells me all I need to know.

Whoooooooo hooooooo!!!! You go girl!! Prove to them that we are just as good as they are!!! We are not idiots. just want to tell the elitist Obama Zombies that some of us do have college degrees and those of us who don't are far from low thinkers. My mother never graduated from college and she was the smartest person I know. She would have voted for Hillary just like she voted for Bill.

Hillary "loaned" her campaign $5 million, so that means that she is still lagging Barack, any way you look at it. Hillary did not donate that money to her campaign, she will take the money from the little people that she uses and pay herself back. If she is so confident about her "cause" then why wouldn't she just give the money to her campaign. Once again, she is only looking out for herself.

Great job!! I am sure that Obama will try to waste time with asking to see tax returns.

All I have to say to the Obama campaign is...move on. I don't want to hear another thing from the Obama campaign asking to see tax returns.

We americans have far too much at stake and it is such a waste of time that you feel you need to verify funding.

Stop the idiotic requests and lets get to where we need to be and that is resolving all the issues at hand.

Wow, this should really help her on top of the $5 million loan that she and Billy gave her campaign. When you can't raise money from the people, just spend your own – look at how well that worked for Romney!

Obama is the only real candidate left in this race that cares more about this country than about his party or the pursuit of power. He's the only one who cares about making change and not just "beating the Republicans."

    Vote Obama, and donate...often!

Sounds like fuzzy math to me! Maybe Bush is heading up their fund raising team.

If she had to loan herself $5 million last month and then all of the sudden raises this much money – seems like someone is living at the "neverland" ranch.

All the republicans are now donating to her cause because they want her to win the democratic nomination to give McCain a chance to win the Republican nomination in November. If democrats are even decently smart, they will figure out that this is a ploy by the republicans to get her elected so that she can united the republican base for November. They are trying to kill 2 birds with one stone. Its surprising that this happens RIGHT after Mitt Romney drops out of the Republican race. Really makes you wonder.

i wonder how much of those 75,000 new donors were women. So Clinton is strapped for cash, so she makes women feel sorry for her (just likeith the tears) and they dip into their pocket books. You know, the funny thing is that Obama raised all of that money last month and this month without even having to say whether or not they were broke. EVen after the 32 million dollar figure was released, no one budged. Hillary used the media by announcing her 5 million dollar "loan" and leaked the fact that her staff may have to work for free for February just so women would feel "obligated" to help.

WAKE UP WOMEN!!! I know how bad you want your prie of having a woman president, but would you do it at the expense of having a deceitful and coniving politician running the country? WOMEN, WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO REALIZE THAT HILLARY IS USING YOU MORE THAN ANY MAN WOULD????
