Clinton camp reports $8 million since Super Tuesday

(CNN) - Hillary Clinton’s campaign said Friday it had raised more than $8 million online since polls closed in California, and nearly $10 million since February 1.

In a conference call with reporters, Clinton communications director Howard Wolfson also said much of that money had come from roughly 75,000 new donors.

Wolfson added that the campaign will be able to spend roughly as much on television ads in upcoming contests as Barack Obama’s campaign – despite the fact that the Illinois senator has been on the air in states that vote over the next few days since well before the Super Tuesday votes.

Clinton’s campaign will begin airing ads today in states voting over the next few days, and will purchase airtime in Texas and Ohio next week.

    I was wondering this today......
The OBAMA supporters continually state OBAMA was against the war from the beginning.....why is this something to be PROUD of as I see it DIFFERENTLY.
    This is my reasoning....
With all the information we had from GWBush and the rest of his crew the MAJORITY of the AMERICAN PEOPLE were in support and PROUD when they brought down the statue.
OBAMA and his currrent supporters apparently are proud the OBAMA was against supporting the SAFETY of te AMERICAN PEOPLE. When The Dixie Chicks took that position they were pulled off radio stations as UNAMERICAN.
Why is NOBODY seeing that OBAMA was UNAMERICAN and Hillary as the one supporting the SAFETY of the United States???
At that time she voted to give GWB the authority to do what he wanted to do and the MAJORITY of the american people felt that as well.....so why is HILLARY be villified????
I think the question should be why did OBAMA not want our country SECURE??????
NOW WE KNOW WE WERE MISLED by GWBush and his people, but at the time we ALL were.
But again at the time when OBAMA is questioning Hillary....I think the question should be WHY WAS OBAMA NOT CONCERNED FOR OUR SAFETY???????

Leah DiMarco, Tx: I don't know who is your political preference but it is obvious you take your candidate vote serious, so do I. And that meaning, you don't allow a candidate to introduce themselves and accept what they tell you about themselves without doing followup research. I wish that more people like yourself would do the same for all candidates before making unwise decisions. The information about each candidate is available if we stop being be lazy and depend on the candidate or an uninformed friend who knows no more than we do. Get the facts about each candidate and don't cast your vote in the wind.

She can turn over her tax returns as fast as Obama can turn over his paperwork with Rezko. Let's make it fair if we are going to look at anything like that.

Funny how any time Obama leads on something, the Clintons rush in to try to grab the spotlight. That tells me that Obama's the real thing and Clintons are just opportunists.

Yes, where are the tax records Hillary? Since when did senators have $5 to $20 million to loan to a campaign? Open up the records. Why hide?

"People are starting to wake up."

By giving money to a couple of multi-millionaires who generated their millions by sleazy deals with Kazakhstan uraninum deals and consulting Chinese businessmen?

If that is waking up, then sleep should win the day.

You obamabots need to think twice before you start crying biased media coverage. All i've heard thus far is an obvious slant for Obama since the middle of January. Despite all the hooplah, she's still on top by the popular vote and by delegate not even counting FL and MI which will be counted. They should be counted too because it's not right for Democrats as a whole to tell two states that their votes don't mean anything at all.

I can't believe there are people in this discussion of this article talking about how much Hillary made complaining that CNN favors Obama... That is the most clueless thing I've heard all day.

Obama has the college party crowd and their snooty cheese eating, wine drinking, rich parents.

Well, it appears Clinton's hard working soccer parents are back and they are really, really riled up.

Obama got $421,000 from Goldman Sachs, $296,000 from UBS AG, $250,000 from Lehman Brothers, etc. For list of Obama's major contributors go to. opensecrets.org.

I want to know why CNN is all about Hillary Clinton? You guys are worst than FOX NEWS. You never report anything favorable about OBAMA. Hillary doesn't need money for advertisment as long as they got you. You should report the delegates as they are not as you want them to be. How much did OBAMA raise so far? Why dont you report that?

Why won't Hillary release her tax returns? Obama has released his 2006 and 2007 tax returns and Hillary says she won't release hers until she wins the democratic nomination. I thinks that sounds fishy. Why isn't anyone say anything about this? Obama does what he says he's going to do. Clinton is hiding something.

FALL HARD FOR THE SAME (Clinton's) !!!!

A lot of my friends are saying that if Obama is the nominee that they will vote for McCain. Clinton needs to go on the attack a lot harder. Obama says he is for change but never spells it out. Hey Hitler was change also. That guy sends chills right down my back he is creepy. He is an empty suit and a silver tongue devil for sure.

I just made another donation to Hillary's campaign. Stop by her website, volunteer and contribute if you can. She needs to know that we believe in her and that SHE can bring back the prosperity we used to have before Bush swandered it.

    Hillary 08.

Everything else aside... to Holly from Kansas City

"So if she raises 8 million from roughly 75000 people, let's do the math.

Average donation of almost $11000. Boy that Hillary sure does represent the working people of America!"

    75,000 * $100 = $7,500,000. Not $11,000, which would be $825 million.

Is anyone else disgusted by how much money is being drained by this? A thousand charities are weeping as money which could help the homeless and third world nations is being filtered to help two Democratic nominees run for office! Yay Democrats! Help the poor!
