Christine Gregoire has endorsed Obama.
(CNN) - Barack Obama has won the backing of Washington Gov. Christine Gregoire, one day before that state is set to hold its Democratic caucuses.
The Washington Democrat, who won the office in 2004 after a hand recount favored her by only 129 votes, said she found it difficult to choose between Obama and Hillary Clinton, but was ultimately drawn to the Illinois senator's charisma and leadership skills.
Gregoire is slated to join Obama at a campaign rally in Seattle later Friday. Clinton is also in the state, campaigning 30 miles south in Tacoma and then later in Spokane.
Washington is set to allocate its 78 delegates through caucuses - a format that has favored Obama to date this elections season.
Washington Sens. Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray have endorsed Clinton's White House bid.

Washington just like most of the west is Clinton Country. These high endorsements are not going to bail Obama out from what his mediocre public service in the senate.
I endorse Hillary to lead this country – she is brilliant and would be a wonderful politician – also in foreign policies – she is the best!!!
Those who think Obama should wait for 4 or 8 years, AFTER another Clinton dynasty are either really dumb, or simply blind to royalty as we see in the Bush folks.
The Clintons are not in this for you, me, Obama, or the this nation. They are paving the way for Chelese Clinton. The next time you get to be screwed up by the Clintons, they would talk you into it like this:
If a woman (Hillary) has done it, Chelese can do it!!! What would be your answer then? Given that the Clintons have had 8 years in office (and Hillary is still out there), common sense tells us that, like the Kennedys, they would have long stepped aside by now. But they simply won't as long as Chelese (the princess) is still out there growing up as a viable future nominee. This is what keeps Hillary going, like any mother would do (thanks to my wife for this insight)!!!!!
So people, wake up to some facts and realities of life!!!! The Clintons have and will continue to dupe most, though not all of the brightest people in this nation.
Why does the press fail to announce Hillarys endorsements from the last 2 days, Norman, Dicks, Kildee, Dingell, and Lincoln it amazes some how baised the media has become.
What leadership skills? What has he done to illustrate he is a leader? A leader is someone with proven experience....someone who can speak about knowledgeably and clearly about policy... someone who knows their industry and who's worked within the confines of their industry. I'm baffled by those statements.
I wonder how did the democratic governers find about the " leadership skills" of OBAMA....
-uneducated doctor..
What leadership skills! Will someone tell me where he has proven himself to be a proven leader of this country. Motivatioanl speaker YES, proven leader NO! He has shown me nothing.
Can someone tell me what "Leadership Skills" Obama possesses?
Go Obama!!
I wonder if Gov. Gregoire's endorsement will prove as meaningless as those of Sen. Ted Kennedy, Caroline Kennedy, Maria Shriver's and John Kerry. At the end of the day, regardless of endorsements, I think people realize our country is NOT in a position to elect a "trial and error" president such as Barack Obama. We need someone who has specific plans and knows what their doing! i.e. HILLARY CLINTON!! She really is our only hope!
If the governer of Washington only won by 100 plus votes, then what can she do for Obama?
Gov. Christine Gregoire just made an intelligent choice.
When did "Charisma" become a qualification for determining whom to endorse?
Thank you, Governor!
Obama is our best hope..... and it is so vital –especially now– that Barack Obama build consensus among Democrats.
Charisma isn't the same as leadership skills Governor.
This is great news.
Yes we can..... and Yes we will.....
If Obama starts winning these liberal states, he'll be doing pretty well.
He won't though.
former 2 times Washington Governor Mr. Luo endorsed Hillary Clinton.
Mr. Luo has better reputation than current WA Governor in WA
Another traiter to Womans Movement.
Support your own. Black voters do.
Go Obama, another $25.00 is in the mail .
WHO CARES.... It appears that she was barely elected herself....
Another split on the way..Hillary will win the nomination by a hair. However, it doesn't matter who wins, the party will be split. Mr Obama has made it clear. He said " her people will vote for me if I win, but my people may not vote for her.. That's the code word for, Do not support Hillary if she wins the nomination. I have news for Mr Obama, because of his words, I for one will not support him if he wins the nod.
thank you Govenor for you endorsement.......Yes we can!!!!!!!!!!
Well, she is my governor and I am very disappointed. The senators from Washinton support Hillary and they have worked close to her in that role, so I think they have more background to use in these endorsments.
obama 2008!
