The president does not operate in a vacum. I think the election will be democrats unless we blow it again, regardless of the nonimee. So I vote for Obama because i think that he can actually get things done, because he has proven that he can motivate and bring people together. Apathy is sometimes tougher to overcome than outright dislike. This time I am voting for the man, not the party, not the policies, and not against anyone, for the first time I am voting for the canidate. Obama will keep winning with overwhelming margins. He has proven he can manage his campaign! It is thriving financially, spiritually, organizationally, and growing supporters by the minute. This proves to me he is a leader, organizer and has great people on his team. These are qualities we need in a presidant in these desperate times. Like he says the "urgency of now." There are many reason he has become so popular. One of the bigger ones is he refuses to go negative. He might call a spade a spade but he has not attacked anyone. He has shown us through this primary he can win from coast to coast and anywhere in the middle. He is popular with independents and this will be very important in the national campaign. He has a god given natural ability to bring people together. Why does Hillary have such low expectations. Hillary's advocacy of secrecy and business as usual is no better than George Bush in its level of arrogance. Even John McCain is more honest than Hillary in his financial disclosures. If Hillary pulls a fast one by trying to seat delegates from Florida and Michigan when she was the only one with her name on the ballot or by trying to win the nomination through the political machine of "super-delegates" I know a few Democrats who will sit out the general election or, worse, vote for McCain in order to give Barack Obama an honest shot at the presidency in 2012. Why won't the Clintons release their tax returns like Barack Obama has done? Will their tax returns show something which will be the centerpiece of another scandal? What if Hillary wins the nomination and her financial affairs become an issue during the general election? Will the Democrats lose in November because Hillary refused to be trasparent about her finances?

Transparency in financial, political, legislative, and presidential matters is what Obama is promising the American electorate. Hillary has rebuked Obama's idealism about transparency as naive. I once was a proud democrat who will probably vote republican in the next election as the cult-like following towards Obama is crazy, not even based on his views. He is winning votes from girls who are crushing on him and I know people voting for him based on color. How sad... Obama is a great motivational speaker, but we don't have time for on-the-job training after Bush is gone. So, I have to go against this cult... This is a joke! They have done everything they can to protect him and help him get the nomination. Obama should talk about his plan to double the minimum wage and peg it to the inflation rate. Obama should talk about his idea to have Americans live in "mixed income" neighborhoods. When he talks about these things people will begin to see how much of a Socialist he is.
