i was just wanted to make the point that while everyone talks about Obama not having enough experience, and how he is so naive he just cannot do what he says, look at where he is now! We all like to pretend that a president has all this power to get things done but if you can't make people come together to get things done, all of your good ideas and wonderful specifics don't matter. The president does not operate in a vacum. I think the election will be democrats unless we blow it again, regardless of the nonimee. The question is on day one and all the days after can you get republicans and democrats to work together do actually do ANYTHING that you want them to do. (look at congress now, i don't know they could agree on the color of the sky.) So I vote for Obama because i think that he can actually get things done, because he has proven that he can motivate and bring people together. Apathy is sometimes tougher to overcome than outright dislike. This time I am voting for the man, not the party, not the policies, and not against anyone, for the first time I am voting for the canidate. I feel proud of that.

Hillary is willing to release her records when the General Election occurs, but not the primary. Why does it matter? Because she has made it matter.

If there is no problem releasing it later, why wait?

Because any money from defense contractors, oil companies, or corporations that may be unliked by traditional democrats won't have any impact against her when she is running against McCain ... Against Obama, however, he could rightfully point out that her money is from sources that it ought not be for someone espousing a liberal policy.

Of course, this is speculation, because Hillary wishes her finances to be shrouded in a cloud of secrecy. Convenient for her - although it certainly makes me question what she is trying to hide? If she's not afraid it will hurt her in the primary, it can only be because she is afraid to lose liberal support in the primary.

Sorry, Hill, but no self-respecting liberal would vote for you anyway. You've sold out too many times, and our 8 years of the Clintons before were far from a liberal oasis.

Judicial Watch Announces List of Washington’s “Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians” for 2007

1. Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY): In addition to her long and sordid ethics record, Senator Hillary Clinton took a lot of heat in 2007 – and rightly so – for blocking the release her official White House records. Many suspect these records contain a treasure trove of information related to her role in a number of serious Clinton-era scandals. Moreover, in March 2007, Judicial Watch filed an ethics complaint against Senator Clinton for filing false financial disclosure forms with the U.S. Senate (again). And Hillary’s top campaign contributor, Norman Hsu, was exposed as a felon and a fugitive from justice in 2007. Hsu pleaded guilt to one count of grand theft for defrauding investors as part of a multi-million dollar Ponzi scheme.

I rest my case.

You wrote: "Tax records are not the American people's business".

I disagree respectfully with you. If Hillary asks Americans (poor & rich) to send her their hard earned money to support her campaign, then the very least she can do is to show us her tax records.

We are not asking too much.

It appears to me there are a lot of Hillary lovers here. They sound bitter and desperate with ridiculous claims. As far as the super delegates go they will vote how they vote no one can change that. I don't think it will come to that. Obama will keep winning with overwhelming margins. He has proven he can manage his campaign! It is thriving financially, spiritually, organizationally, and growing supporters by the minute. This proves to me he is a leader, organizer and has great people on his team. These are qualities we need in a presidant in these desperate times. Like he says the "urgency of now." There are many reason he has become so popular. One of the bigger ones is he refuses to go negative. He might call a spade a spade but he has not attacked anyone. He has shown us through this primary he can win from coast to coast and anywhere in the middle. He is popular with independents and this will be very important in the national campaign. He has a god given natural ability to bring people together.
Why does Hillary have such low expectations. I would be upset if she was my candidate and she was saying "well we didn't expect to win here, we didn't expect to win there." The Clinton campaign can carry on all they want about the super delegates but in the end this will never happen. No one wants another stolen election and thats what it would be. If it does for some reason happen the delegates will fall in line...like they should.
Hillary will put up the good fight but I can hear in her voice a sad, resigned tone.
You can't call Obama untested after he has had to go up against the former president, his wife the senator, there staunch list of loyal supporters and there daughter Chelsea.
Believe me when this is over he will have deserved his position as President of the United States and the blessing of the majority of the American voters.

lets face it…
we are counting on young Americans to come out and vote again… Once summer comes and schools out and young people are busy keeping their children occupied for the summer, and all the rallies are done.. think they will show up at the polls in Nov? like 2004? the Independent voters are going to vote for McCain, think about it people its the fun thing to do right now. to get a bunch of bored young people together…can we really afford to take that chance again? Hillary is our only real hope for the White house..

The Independents already have their nominee with McCain so they do not need to got vote for him so they are voting for Obama to push Hilliary out. But when push comes to shove they will be back on McCains bandwagon.

There is a reason Hillary is still in this race. The harder they push her out the more Democrats are going to fight to keep her in.

The reason Obama can make this far because more than 80% block people vote to him and he make some white people think he can beat McCain but Hillary can’t if they choose party going to lost
Almost any host at major TV media( MSNBC CNN FOXNEWS) they're Republican
And they also radio host they know they can't beat Sen Hillary but they can beat Obama so they do anything to help Obama So I saw they even promote Obama

Hilary wont run this country if she pulls out a miracle against obama. For the reason, Bill will be putting his nose in every little mistake she will make and foreign relations. Obama will be the only answer for this devestated country. I will move to canada if Hilary or Mcain is in office. I was in the Military for 6 years and I was for bush but now that im out I dont think this country needs another Republican in office. There will be a grim future for the world if hillary is elected. I just have a bad feeling about how the middle east and asian countries will look at us as they dont see women as leaders...They will think we are weak and attack us..im truely nervous.

I don't give a hoot what Hillary and Bills' tax returns have to say.

Why is the filthy question about a potential scandal in the WH by Bill run not once but twice in the Ticker? CNN, that is not cool.
Why is the filthy question about a potential scandal in the WH by Bill run not once but twice in the Ticker? CNN, that is not cool. Let Hillary be Hillary, and stop airing out that dirty laundry again and again. We need to know who will be the best president, not whose husband strayed a decade ago.

Feminists, racists.....you can all come out in force, but you cannot stop democracy in action. Obama's track record is lily-white compared to the Clinton's that is black as tar. He is full of ideas, full of hope and he will back those with action.

Be prepared.

Seriously, why is everyone so hyped up on Hillary's experience?! Last I checked, experience did not mean being first lady...that's like saying Laura Bush is qualified cause her husband was gov of Texas, and then president.

In reality, with Obama's time in the Illinois Senate, Hillary only has 2 more years on him.

And being a lawyer in the Coporate world does not make you qualified either.

Seriously Hillary supporters, get a grip.

Deny, deny, deny. This woman is full of denials. She says she''s winning but the facts are she''s losing. She lends her campaign money and her top manager steps down for "personal" reasons and then she says she''s not in trouble. Asked if old wounds might be reopened and she says "That''s not going to happen". She wants so badly for things to go her way; she must have been a very spoiled child. She''s not in this for the good of the country, she''s in it just to win and get into the history books. The Republicans will chew her up and spit her out. She''s carrying more baggage than a Greyhound bus. Obama's our man!

Karen from Minnesota, if you call integrity teflon then yes, Senator Obama is covered in it and thank God he is! I would love to see a woman as president of the USA, just not this woman! Too much baggage...too many scandals...Are we really supposed to trust that they are not full of mess just because they are "seasoned" politicians? Gimme a break! For all of you who claims Senator Obama has no specifics and details, just take a look at his record as State Senator in Illinois...more importantly, he was not foolish enough to vote for a dumb war, unlike the oh so wise and "seasoned" HRC! We'll see what everyone has to say after they are mandated for her Universal Health Care plane...like when your wages are garnished for not wanting the healthcare! I've checked her record and yes she's done some...some good as a Senator but it's not a vast difference...Tell me this someone please account for her so called 35 years of experience! What does that include? Wal-mart lawyer? 8 years as her husband slept with other women? Failed healthcare plan? Stepping on the actual VP's toes? What are her so called 35 years of experience? We've had so much "experience" in the white house over the years and what do we have to show for it? Half the world hates us, under this "experience", 800,000 Rawandans died under this "experience", and we have this oh so wonderful war! UNDER THIS "EXPERIENCE" HRC is agenda driven, power hungry and scandalous!

Tax records are not the American people's business. What matters is who can
run our country at a time when we are in a horrible mess with foreign countries, our economy. We use to be the riches nation in the world, there are people out there that want to destroy us and the way to do this is break us. Now do we want someone who has the strength and character to take care of the country for us, since
we as the american people are not. Hillary Clinton has the ability to take care
of the United States of America. I am so sick of hearing about Bill and what he did
in his own personal life. My fellow Americans, he's not the only one. Build a
bridge and get over it. Men if your againist a women as President, think of how
your married to one and best of the best was your Mom, who is a women. Give
Hillary a chance. She can do it ofr all of us.

CNN said last night that the plan for the foreclosure problem is very similar to the plan that Hillary outlined. Imagine that someone actually has a plan and everyone thinks its a good idea and it helps millions of people in trouble. We are in real trouble in this country and we need more plans like this. She can do this.

For those of you that didn't hear the debate Obama said 'LOOK, NOBODY'S HANDS ARE CLEAN HERE." He is no better. All of it will come out if he gets the nomination from the Republicans because the media has given him a free ride. Mcain will chew him up and spit him out and we will have another Republican President.

All the Clintons do is fight and create scandal. That's what the Bush administration did and it got us nowhere.

Barack Obama is the best candidate to take us forward.

RealClearPolitics.com shows polls that prove he can beat McCain.

Steve:
More food for thought- Yes, Black men were given the right to vote before White women, but Black men were lynched, fired from their jobs, and their homes were burned for actually trying to vote. I have not heard similar stories about White women. So, don't try to make the comparision.

I am a Canadian resident and I have been following this election process from the begining. I admire Hilary Cliton and I am a strong supporter of Barack Obame. I still don't get those of you who say you want specifics from Obama. He is just like every other candidate who tells you what they will do when they get to office. So what's the deal? The fact that he can say his in a manner that brings tears to your eyes, and hope for your future, also the realization that everybody is responsible does not make him non-specific. So lets talk specific:
On HEALTHCARE
HRC: I will mandate it so that everybody will be covered.
BO: I will subsidize it so that everyone can afford it.

On Economy:
HRC: Released billions of dollors stimulus package.
BO: Released billions of dollars stimulus package.

National Security:
HRC: I will put out troops out of Iraq, one brigade monthly
BO: I will put out troops from Iraq with 16 months, I will speak to leaders of countries who will opose (sensible), I will order military strike on Pakistan if I think Osama Bin Laden is hiding there.

How will they do it? of course by working wiith congress and the Joint chiefs and that is where their message differs. You don't have to fight when you can come to an agreement. It is common sense and does not waste time.

Example, see how quickly the congress and George Bush reached an agreement on your stimulus package. Because they recongnized the strong urgency of now, "the economy is failing".

So to all Obama haters, four words for you. SHUT UP AND LISTEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Barack is going to get that slam dunk tonight in DC/MD/VA. I'll be sitting in front of the tube watching CNN (fantastic technology guys!) report on this historical landslide. It only gets more exciting as the race goes on.

As for Hillary promising "no scandals" is like Bill promising to stay awake in a black church - won't happen! haha Besides, she's been trying stuff all along, from the "victim" of MSNBC comments, to the tears and coughing fits, to the constant whining about a lack of media coverage (The media is tired of you just like we are. The 90's were totally exhausting!). Just watch as the day goes on. She will pull SOMETHING. After all, this IS the eve of another important election. No caucuses this time Hillary so think early on your excuse for why you won't win tonight. And for God's sake, be humble and say "Congratulations". It's just good form. Try harder this time.

Okay CNN, you can actually release "something" that I write. I'm going to start complaining unfairness like Sen. Clinton does constantly.

Typical "Hillary Speak" saying "you know where I stand on this issue" when she has been "saved by the bell" or "saved by her cackling laugh" or "saved by the audience response to a previous question" or saved by an interviewer's "we've run out of time." Hillary has yet to lay anything out for the public to scrutinize.

Just like Senator Kerry whose military record still has not been released, Hillary has not and will not release her papers, her financial statements, and anything to do with any scandal she has been involved in and/or linked to. But she'll tell you that "you know where I stand" all day long. Follow the money and you'll find out all about Hillary and Bill.

Hillary can't keep Bill from playing around. She's been unable to do so since before they married and he's not about to change his character, either.

Hillary has been Bill's co-President for 8 years. Is Bill going to be Hillary's co-President for another 4? If she wins the election, doesn't that mean that each will have 12 years as co-President? Where in the Constitution is there any provision for a Dynasty of co-Presidents? No other Presidents have ever had a co-Presidency with their spouses. I think that if she wins, a lawsuit could be brought to the Supreme Court to nullify the election based on her recorded statement when Bill was President: "We Are The President."

Give it some thought.

I do not understand where all of Hillary's expereince is suppose to have come from. She is a JUNIOR Senator from NY and being a former First Lady does not provide the resume necessary to be President.

In response to Kat's comment, I believe Obama has a much better chance of beating McCain than Hillary (polls show Obama beating McCain by eight points and Hillary tying McCain). Many Republicans and Independents who will come out and vote for Obama, or not vote at all, will be galvanized against Hillary if she is the Democratic nominee. Justified or not (and I personally think there is nothing about Hillary to hate), many people can't stand Hillary and they will come out in droves to vote against her in November.

Four or eight more years in Washington is not going to make Barack a better president than he can be right now. It's true that Hillary is very knowledgeable about the issues, but Barack has shown he can hold his own against her on all the issues, and he definitely has her beat on the War in Iraq issue.

Cynics like Kat will have you believe he's just about rhetoric and speeches. The reality is that he is a man who inspires people to come together and to get involved. He will get people off their couches and engaged with each other in ways that will help this country move forward. We need to come together as a country to solve our problems. Obama can lead us there and beat McCain. Hillary as the nominee will only lead to another Democratic loss and four more years of Bush's policies under McCain.

Come on! We all know that the next President won't be a Republican. I mean look at the Republican pool of candidates. A bunch of Bush clones and they don't represent the new majority of the United States, which consists of all races and diversity. That's why the Dems are getting more media coverage because most of us already know, whether we like it or not, it's either going to be Obama or Clinton as Commander in Chief starting 2009. I mean this year, we are living as though we don't even have a President. Too much damage has been done to the Republican reputation by Bush and his cronies.

Hillary cannot make a great president. It's one thing to study and read books...Bush did that. There's something you're born with..which keeps one at even keel; When pressures of losing NH and potentially the nomination got to her, she cried. That's not toughness, folks. Also, Bill and Hillary have been running campaigns all their adult lives...how's it now that a young rookie is practically beating them? He's running a campaign team like a seasoned pro, with no drama (for those who say he has no leadership skill. Look at the difference in how they're both running their respective campaigns)...while they (HRC and company) fumble and juggle like the the old bengals!

It's a gift, folks. Yes, GM is a great and steady company...but I prefer a young upstart by the name GOOGLE!

Future, not past.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows John McCain (R) leading Hillary Clinton (D) 45% to 43%. Barack Obama (D) leads McCain 44% to 40% (see recent daily results). Among self-identified conservatives, McCain leads Clinton 70% to 14% and Obama 66% to 18%. Clinton leads McCain by five percentage points among political moderates while Obama has an eighteen-point advantage among that group.

Obama is the most popular candidate at the moment, viewed favorably by 52% and unfavorably by 45%. Clinton is viewed favorably by 48% of Likely Voters nationwide, unfavorably by 50%. McCain’s is viewed favorably by 47% and unfavorably by 50%. His ratings are lower within his own party than those for either Obama or Clinton.

No one doubts for a minute that Senator Clinton isn't qualified and competent. She is. She is my senator and I applaud her work in the Senate and believe strongly that she can handle things, stands her ground and is tough as nails. BUT, my impression is that is NOT what the country wants anymore. WE are tired of partisan bickering and infighting. We don't want any more divisiveness and US AGAINST THEM. We want someone who is intelligent and has a breadth and depth of experience that can get things done for our country. IF people think that the Bush presidency has been polarizing, just think what another Clinton presidency would do!!!! We would just be switching sides at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and the Congressional wars would continue. WE deserve something different. We NEED something different. The world needs us to be something different!

Why won't the Clintons release their tax returns like Barack Obama has done? Will their tax returns show something which will be the centerpiece of another scandal? What if Hillary wins the nomination and her financial affairs become an issue during the general election? Will the Democrats lose in November because Hillary refused to be trasparent about her finances?

Transparency in financial, political, legislative, and presidential matters is what Obama is promising the American electorate. Hillary has rebuked Obama's idealism about transparency as naive. Hillary's advocacy of secrecy and business as usual is no better than George Bush in its level of arrogance.

Even John McCain is more honest than Hillary in his financial disclosures. If Hillary pulls a fast one by trying to seat delegates from Florida and Michigan when she was the only one with her name on the ballot or by trying to win the nomination through the political machine of "super-delegates" I know a few Democrats who will sit out the general election or, worse, vote for McCain in order to give Barack Obama an honest shot at the presidency in 2012.

This is a joke! Can the media just try to go a day and report some of the great news about the Clintons. I once was a proud democrat who will probably vote republican in the next election as the cult-like following towards Obama is crazy, not even based on his views. He is winning votes from girls who are crushing on him and I know people voting for him based on color. How sad... Obama is a great motivational speaker, but we don't have time for on-the-job training after Bush is gone.
So, I have to go against this cult...

Obama doesn't talk specifics and the media doesn't force him to because they know it will sink him. They have done everything they can to protect him and help him get the nomination.

Obama should talk about his plan to double the minimum wage and peg it to the inflation rate.

Obama should talk about his idea to have Americans live in "mixed income" neighborhoods.

When he talks about these things people will begin to see how much of a Socialist he is.
