Clinton spot: Obama 'hiding behind false attack ads'

Sen. Clinton released another ad in Wisconsin Friday.
Sen. Clinton released another ad in Wisconsin Friday.

(CNN) – On Friday, the newest negative ad hit the airwaves in Wisconsin – the third such spot launched by a Democratic presidential campaign in three days.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign unveiled an ad Wednesday that took aim at Barack Obama for turning down an offer to debate her in Wisconsin before the state’s February 19 primary, tying the decision to his stands on other issues.

Obama’s campaign struck back the next day with a spot that responded to Clinton’s, calling the original ad an instance of "the same old politics of phony charges and false attacks."

Today, Clinton’s campaign debuted ‘Deserves,’ a response to what it called “false attacks” in the Obama spot.

"Barack Obama still won't agree to debate in Wisconsin,” says the announcer in the 30-second ad, which will also air in Wisconsin. “And now he's hiding behind false attack ads.”

The ad criticized Obama’s stands on issues like health care and Social Security, and asked
“Why won’t Barack Obama debate these differences? Wisconsin deserves better.”

The state's voters head to the polls next Tuesday.

    Hillary,
This is NOT your WORLD! You don't get to make the rules when it benefits you. It's too bad that you didn't plan on running a campaign after Super Tuesday. You thought the Clinton Machine could run everyone out of town...NOT THIS TIME!

If Barack doesn't win, he sure gave the Clinton Machine a run for their money. Wow! This is GOOOOOOOD STUFF........Stay Tuned

Another dishonest tactic by Hillary Clinton-do something unethical and then accuse your opponent of doing it instead. I'm a lifelong Democrat, but I'll vote for McCain if she's the nominee.

Quote from Superdelegate Christine Pelosi, Nancy Pelosi's daughter:

"It is always sort of a stunt when you call for a debate," she said. "If they really wanted a debate you know, Howard [Wolfson] has David [Axelrod]'s phone number. They could arrange this if they really wanted to. ... This silly fight over a debate or a snub or this or that is really dumb."

Politics as usual from HRC. She is trying to fool you and apparently people like Don C. are already fooled.

The Clintons have shown a penchant for survival, their objective is to try and discredit everything to ensure they are the last people standing.

Hillary Clinton is not Bush Cheney lite .....she is Bush Cheney 'Regular'

The Clintons know very well that any additional debates would take away days that Obama could use to talk to people in person. That is how he has been able to win over people all across the country. Why would he want to give up so many precious days for debates? It's a bigger insult to Wisconsin that Clinton chose to spend her time in TX instead. These ads just try to cover up that fact. How stupid does she think people are?

Hillary will get even nastier with future ads. She has no other option to revive her dying campaign. Sorry Charlie, no Democratic nomination for you. She cannot stand on her experience; she has lots working for Wal-Mart, Pharmacy lobbyists and other major corps. She is not very attractive and every time she speaks I get upset knowing she will say anything to get elected. I have 3 daughters and it is too bad for women all over the U.S. and the world that such a person would be the first true candidate with a chance to be President has to be Billary. Men hate her and so do 1/2 the country.

These ads show more than a little desperation on the part of the Clinton campaign. Obama has already debated Clinton 18 times!! And the two are schedulded to debate again in the next couple weeks. Clinton doesn't explain why they need to debate in Wisconsin In fact, the only reason Clinton wants to debate is becuase is at a financing disadvantage and needs the publicity from debates more than Obama – plain and simple. If the financial roles were reversed, you can guarantee that Clinton would not ask for a Wisconsin debate.

On another note, I think the series of events here is a litte mind-numbing. Here's how it goes: (1) Clinton authorizea an attack ad, (2) Obama responds with an add criticising the use of old school attack ads, (3) Clinton then airs another ad, criticising Obama for attacking her attack ad. That's why I will never vote for Clinton - the empitomy of hypocrisy.

Clinton is "done" like a cooked goose. She's losing and is desperate to start any fight to save her, you know what. There is one candidate who doesn't take federal lobby money, and one candidate who was and is against the Iraq War....Obama. Hillary will lose.

Hillary is the "MAKE IT HAPPEN" candidate. She answers questions about her agenda in detail. Obama is unclear about what he offers, except hope. I guess the voters can hope he will give us some answers.

Another example of the Clintons ability to redefine common definitions of the English language. Why bother with any additional debates, all I hear from the Clintons are half truths and outright lies. Hillary's healthcare? Nothing but a disaster from start to finish, but 20 years later it's a success? Give me a break. Finish this quickly Senator Obama, please.

Clinton should have asked for debates in all 50 states! She should also have enlisted her husband Bill to actually help in her debates with Obama. Even if they debate in Mars, she won't change a thing! She isn't the best!

When is she going to realise that Americans are not stupid, and can't be easily swayed by these desperate machinations now bearing on diabolism?

If democrats decide to go against what is right and opt for Hillary, they would have missed a golden chance to produce the next president; a president that is bound to positively turn America round.

Okay-Hillary's Campaign is wasting money here.

This situation is like a girl not understanding why a man doesn't love her...The man has explained to the girl that he is involved...yet she keeps on asking him why? Why he does not love her? While she is stalking him...he has gone on...met some other suitable women...and has gotten engaged. He will get married to this new girl...if he can show her the way.

This is this story here: Obama is out courting and educating people nationwide...while Hillary is wondering why he won't meet with her?
What will an additional meeting really prove here? He has aggreed to debate her twice. That will add up to 20 debates.

20 debates is enough. His words stay the same, his positions have not changed. He has kept his word.

Hillary has totally given Obama all of the power she ever wanted or thought she had.

I am for Obama, yet-these ads are wasting money...and seem immature. It makes me wonder what's going on in her communications managers head? This is totally wasting money.
