The very fact that this has even become news is further proof of the pathetic lengths the Clinton campaign will go to win this thing at any cost. The fact is, if Obama is a "plagairizer" then Mrs. Clinton is a ventriloquist dummy. She is to Barack Obama, what Pat Boone is to "Little" Richard. There isn't a genuine cell in her body. 35 years of experience and she has yet to get an authentic and consistant stomp speech.

These are the kind of politics that sour many regarding the political process, and will inevitably cause voters to elect the fresh faced Barack Obama in what I strongly predict will be one of the greatest land slides in American history.

I think plagiarism is a serious issue, regardless if it's a friend or not. Perhaps you'd need to have a college education in order to understand.

The Clinton camp must be getting pretty desperate if they are trying to turn this non-issue into a "scandal". So Obama used some words first spoken by a good friend of his. Big deal. Hillary has done the same thing. In fact she has even used Obama's words in her speeches!!! These types of negative attacks are a perfect example of why Hillary should NOT be President.

Let's talk about the guy that was on FOX the other night and told about Bill Clinton getting drunk and physically attacking him several years ago!!!! How about that???

Also, I love the fact that every time they put a microphone in from of Bill, he says something really asinine!

In the words of James Carville "She's Done!"

Obama's religious revival tactics are disgusting.

Is Obama talking to his church congregation?

He sounds like a preacher. This tone is scarry.

Are we electing a preacher or a president?

The Clinton campaign needs to focus on the issues and see who is the best man at the end of the day. This only divides and damages the democratic party as she will do anything to win (even destroy the democratic party).

Hillary, you are pathetic and your campaign is in shambles. This is even more juvenile than when you were attacking Obama over his kindergarten papers. Give it up, you're done.

God bless Obama for being the bigger candidate in this contest and continuing to stay above this kind of petty politics.

Joe - If you knew anything about Hillary, you would know that she disagreed with her husband on the NAFTA agreement.
Clearly, this is not CNN; it must be moveon.org or an Obama site.
As a woman I find Obama's comments regarding Senator Clinton to be misogynistic and condescending - when was the last time a woman said to a man something about his claws coming out.
As an American, I'm offended that Mrs. Obama who may well be the next first lady said she has never been proud to be an American until now. The idea that she wouldn't vote for Hillary if Barak didn't win tells me she is either a sore loser or not a Democrat but regardless she is no patriot.

Let me ask this one simple question to Mrs Clinton. Why you changed your main slogan from "Experience to Change". Because she copied OBAMA. OBAMA was the first to talk about change then everyone followed. End of discussion.

Clinton is obviously getting desperate...the sad part is that the media is jumping on this and reporting it as a huge story...I bet if you looked at any speech...you could find language that has been used before. Barack will win because he is the better candidate and there is nothing that Clinton can do to stop it.

How would America be proud of a President who uses somebody's
words/speeches? How would Obama run his Presidency with imitation and reliance on advisers' help, with a wife, who can't decide to vote whoever the nominee is (in their own party), and for the first time in her adult life, she felt really proud of her country because of their hope of change,( regardless of what the country had contributed to her successes)??? Is Obama the kind of President America has ever long for? Do you think he can solve our economic problems by imitation? Do you think he can manage our country well?

Hey Hillary, why don't you show us your tax and white house records? Why don't you own up to your full support of NAFTA that cost Ohioans their jobs?

Good for Obama for being the bigger person and moving forward. Same with Michelle. There are more importang things to focus on, namely That is the sign of a true leader...staying on message.

How many negative attacks has Hillary launched over the past 2 weeks, 4? Has anyone else noticed that no major network is following Sen. Clinton on the campaign trail like NBC Today is doing with OBama?

I am going to the Dallas rally for OBama tomorrow and I will be there bright and early!! I am so excited!

This "second instance of similar speech" is yet another example of the Clinton campaign desperation. If Senator Clinton is the nominee, I will definitely vote for McCain. I believe our country is better off left in the hands of the Republican Candidate than in the hands of the Clintons. Bill Clinton shamed our country with bad behavior during his presidency and Senator Clinton is shaming our country through "dirty/petty" politics. The Clintons are a cancer and I hope we can rid ourselves of their dirty politics during this election. I'm optimistic that she will be defeated.

He used some lines from a friend's speech (and even thanked his friend!). This isn't a story.

This is politics-as-usual from camp Clinton. She will do anything to get elected, including pushing this non-story.

Besides, it's now coming out that while she claimed that the media has started and pushed the story, that in fact, the story originated with her campaign. She's lying again! Wake up America! It's time to throw these old-school politicians out the door!

This whole thing on the speeches that Obama makes really makes him out to be a copy cat. Can't people see that it isn't him speaking but that it is someone else? How do we know if what he is saying is from his heart or someone else? He is a bit to good to be true, I am voting for someone who knows the ropes. Go Hillary!

I agree with Michelle, I am VERY proud to be an American right now. I have not in the past. Because a country founded by men who were trying to escape religous persecution, they founded this country and it was those men who prayed before every meeting, prayed for God's guidance and leadership. Those men who even put it on our money "In GOD we Trust". I can't say that they are too happy at what this country has turned into. I do however believe they are proud that a BI-RACIAL man, is running for president of this country they founded. I wish BILLARY would stop and take a look at the big picture.....

They've been looking and looking so I suppose this must be the worst thing they could find: Obama repeating words of a friend and colleague in a couple or a few instances - sometimes crediting Patrick. This discovery reminds me of Geraldo opening Capone's vault: nothing's there! The Clintons are fabricating another farce by saying that Obama is just a "speech-giver", thus every phrase he now utters must be original. By Hillary's own standards she's already "plagarized" at least two of Obama's campaign slogans. How desperate and pathetic! Even as Obama repeats a shared idea from a friend, he's more genuine than either Clinton.

A few weeks ago I might have voted for Hillary as my second choice but now I convinced she's more the problem than the "solution".

So...., can the Clintons offer something other than distractions and nitpicking?

What about Hillary's "borrowing" from Edwards about Blockbuster, or her borrowing from her husband's speeches of the past over and over, etc, etc.

This is the old politics that the Clintons have mastered so well and what we need so badly to move away from.

Hillary, If you can't say something good, don't say anything at all.

Wow, Obamanites will excuse anything their candidate does including setting a bad example to students everywhere. That must explain his popularity in that demographic. Other people have been pilloried for far less. I wonder what else Obama plagiarized when he was a college student, or did he learn original thinking at all while at Harvard?

Wow, the Billary really *is* desperate, huh?

Can't win on merit, so they get dirty, negative and petty.

Is this REALLY what America wants? To paraphrase "The American President", Billary is interested in two things and two things only: making you afraid of it and telling you who's to blame for it. That, ladies and gentlemen, is how you win elections.

Let's stop this nonsense now and give the torch to a new generation of Americans!

Hillary Clinton is going down in flames. She is losing what popularity she has left with this silly childish back and forth. I can't believe she is claiming to be a professional let alone running president and carrying on this way. It surely has opened my eyes to the level she is willing to stoop to. Changed my vote a long time ago. Bill and Hillary....SILLY and SILLIER. Her campaign guy in that terrible looking sweater is the SILLIEST!!!

Why don't you just retire and spend the millions you pocketed in Dubai ...

Please, please step aside and make room for a new dawn in American politics. Paleeze. Thanks

If Senator Obama wants to use my words, he has my permission. I'm glad he used the Govenor's words. Just as I am as pleased that President John F. Kennedy used the words of President Theodore Roosevelt "...As what you can do for your country" Yes, these words spoken by JFK were words spoken by Theodore Roosevelt. I remember the day JFK gave that speech. I can remember hearing and seeing JFK make that speech. He did not site those heart-touching words as Theodore Roosevelt's words. Check out the JFK speech for yourself.
I know some of you remember hearing and seeing that speech; but maybe it was okay for JFK. I don't remember anyone questioning JFK's speeches.

Obama is a political puppet. He will be run by his special interest constituents. He will fail at uniting Washington to even attempt to put his words into action. He has no record of fighting the tough issues in Washington because he likes to avoid blemishing him record.

Obama is all change we can make-believe in. If you're going to run your campaign centered around your words and inspiring speeches and not policies/solutions, then use your OWN words. You're not an actor so get real!

It's amazing how Obama supporters are rationalizing away anything that may indicate Mr. Obama is more imitation than originality, more image than substance, more rock star than leader. Talk about putting your fingers in your ears and yelling "I can't hear you".

I don't have a horse in this race (oops, i just used someone else's words) but I find the kettle calling the pot black (another bit of plagiarism) a bit ironic. This from the woman of a husband who repeatedly cheated on her, lied to congress and the American people and, of course, from someone who didn't inhale. Please, "give me a break.. this is the biggest fairy tale..." (oops another plagiarism!!!

JFk was a great president
He inspired by words
He didn't give credit to Cicero for his famous inspirational words
Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country
I don't need to know who actually thought of the words - you can't deliver them if you don't believe them.

if we limited political quotes to who actually thought of the words, a lot of credit would go to their speechwriters - I am sure all the candidates have help and inspiration.

Where was Bill Burton's indignation about "fanning the flames" when the whole racism dustup occurred after New Hampshire? His camp sure wasn't above "fanning the flames" even when Tim Russert busted them for it on an NBC debate. The press wasn't interested in pursuing that issue then though. Both sides are doing whatever they can to win, so the Obama camp needs to quit feigning outrage and shock every time something doesn't go their way. The Clintons have sure taken their share of hits. He is starting to show he is just a politician like the rest of them, and will do whatever it takes to get elected. Also, Michelle puts her foot in her mouth just as much as Bill is accused of doing; maybe these are a couple of reasons people are starting to look at Obama a little more closely. If he thinks he wants to be the frontrunner, he better start getting used to real politics, because the primary season has just been a cake walk compared to the general election campaign.

CNN,

You have a female political reporter by the name of Jessica that reports throughout the day. When she refers to the presidential candidates she refers to Hillary Clinton as Senator Hillary Clinton, she does not give the same respect to Senator Obama. Please be politically correct on this issue. Both are Sentors and both should be extended the same respect. I have also found that various journalist and reporters refer to him as such, why? This may be petty....but is it beacuse he appears to be more personable/approachable?
