And by the way, people who said he did not wait to make his speech, you are DEAD WRONG. I was at the rally in Houston, and he was scheduled to start at 7:45, but did not go on for another 30 minutes or so. He couldn't wait forever. And last time I checked, I don't think he's required to wait for her. CNN chose to interrupt her speech simply because HE was the winner and was giving, essentially, his victory speech. Had she won, I can guarantee they would have played hers over his. People are just being petty now.

OBAMA 08   February 20th, 2008 3:03 am ET

Hillary would run our country, same way she is running her campaign, right into the ground. She,Bush and McCain should grab Bill and go
home. They have done enough for us.

Alexa   February 20th, 2008 3:02 am ET

Yes air the WHOLE speech!

It is about choosing the right candidate, who might become our next President. It's about facing the problems that exist. Pretty words with no real back up, won't solve what is happening right now…. people losing their homes, healthcare and the economy. People have to do research on the candidates and see what kind of work they have done and what they can provide, and not just be taken by the moment.

Louise Kindle   February 20th, 2008 2:54 am ET

The media is very bias against Hillary Clinton. With that said, it's time for those of us who like Sen. Clinton, admit, she is not getting it done. I don't know who is writing the speeches, but, they need to stop with the "empty rhetoric", "words don't matter", and "35 years of experience". None of these words have mattered in 9 states. Sen. Clinton should have been in Wisconsin right after her loss in the Potomac Primaries. I think a win in Wisconsin would have done more for her campaign than waiting two weeks for Texas. She needs to speak from the heart to the people of America. She need to acknowledge she is losing and need our help. It's time for Sen. Clinton to really find her voice. If she attacks, she need to attack issues with viable facts. All this petty stuff makes her look desperate. Attacking Obama because he can speak well is so unintelligent. Words do matter!!! Her words matter. But, if she doesn't began to come off as genuine, starting with the debate, it's all over.

eric barthel   February 20th, 2008 2:45 am ET

CNN HAS NO TIME TO WASTE WITH A LOSER SPEECH ANY WAY.

Nikky   February 20th, 2008 2:27 am ET

Obama fever is nothing but A Republican winning conspiracy. I want to make this prophesy- 'Obama Democratic ticket is an automatic Republican presidency.' America and Kenya are boiling at the same time.

I really do think people need to go to candidate websites to compare positions and candidate solutions.

Darth Vadik, CA   February 20th, 2008 2:07 am ET

Yes Hillary, it is, its just not you this time.

Go Obama

Long-term Memory   February 20th, 2008 1:50 am ET

Why do I feel like I have to watch out for the "change" boomerang to hit me in the head (oh, yeah, it's all the chanting). Anybody looking for change–whatever that might mean now–should read the Republican National Party's preamble from the 2000 election in which they nominated George W. Bush as the Republican candidate. They called him the uniter, the candidate seeking change, the candidate to negotiate with our enemies, a fresh, innovative, and anti-establishment candidate. Maybe it's not the "change" boomerang that's on its way but the deja vu (with all its attendant accent marks) right, left hook.

bond   February 20th, 2008 1:50 am ET

Clinton: 'It is about picking a president."

News flash this just in: "Its not gonna be you Billary."

Lynn In St. Louis   February 20th, 2008 1:38 am ET

You go Hillary. It is about solutions and not rhetoric. During Barack's speeh on Tuesday, I felt I was at a revival meeting when he said, "I'm not a perfect vessel." Maybe he wants to have Huckabee as his running mate.

Shey   February 20th, 2008 1:36 am ET

Ohhhh good point MT!!

Why show her speech when she's spouting off about how that's not what counts? " I'm not about speeches' Fine…then you don't get yours aired.

Let her shove her solutions off air to the people in Youngstown, who she'll turn around and ignore if they don't get her a win in Ohio. She's been most ungracious to those who've worked their backends off for her in every state since S.C.

Lynn In St. Louis   February 20th, 2008 1:36 am ET

Once again, CNN is not fair to Hillary. Barack broke into her speech and got 49 minutes of free air time. He used it to campaign and urge voters to vote early for him in Texas.

After listening to McCain's speech tonight, I am convinced that if Barack wins the nomination, the Republicans will remain in the White House. He will get eaten alive in the campaign when McCain goes after him. Hillary will be accused of being racist if she does, but that's because she's a woman and sexism is alive and well in the US.

Hugh   February 20th, 2008 1:36 am ET

And you should learn how to spell apologize.

FHD   February 20th, 2008 1:34 am ET

People, this is about picking a president not an American idol. Vote smart, vote Hilary.

CNN shame on you for unfair coverage of Hillary. Her speach should not have been cut short. Even CNN is not for substance and all for hype.

Viki   February 20th, 2008 1:20 am ET

No to men in power!
If Obama would be a woman, he wouldn't stay a chance. Beacuse he is man, he got away with everything.
Women, do you really think that Obama is the best for this country?

rob   February 20th, 2008 1:16 am ET

Hillary supporters just dont get. Barack is the winner so CNN wanted to go with the winner and switched to Obama's speech. Plain and simple.

Jonathan Forbes--Independent   February 20th, 2008 1:15 am ET

It is about picking a president. And the person who has had the most experience is neither Barack Obama nor Hillary Clinton. The person who has had the most experience is John McCain (he is a 4 term senator.)

Chris in Houston   February 20th, 2008 1:14 am ET

I'm voting for Obama, not because of his speeches but because he moves me. I wouldn't have cared a year ago about who was going to be president until I saw him talk to me. That's the difference. Obama is GENUINE and that appeals to me more than the fake Hillary some of you are supporting. No state is insignificant, I'm not insignificant and Hillary tried to make me feel that way. So Hillary meet ME down here in Texas.

Phyllis, Dallas TX   February 20th, 2008 12:58 am ET

Hillary is right…….. it is about picking a president.

And it looks like the majority don't believe that person is her.

Dan from MA   February 20th, 2008 12:42 am ET

Hillary is the champion of the poor and the sick! She is the only candidate who is willing to stand up for Universal Health Care! Thats why she has earned my vote! We need a smart, hardworking woman to clean up the Bush mess! We need someone who will fight for the people! Someone who understands that Health care isn't about money, but about our moral duty as a nation to protect all of our citizens!

picking the president   February 20th, 2008 12:33 am ET

Indeed it is, Sen. Clinton.

I hope one day this country does elect our 1st female president - and I hope she hasn't ridden to office on her husband's coattails.

KMAN   February 20th, 2008 12:29 am ET

Hey…

Ann, Los Angeles

Obama wasn't even on the ballot in Michigan! So your question about Republicans crossing over to vote for him there is absurd! It's no small wonder that Hillary is losing with uninformed people like you on her side!!

Hamilton   February 20th, 2008 12:27 am ET

I heard that she flew back to New York tonight to lick her wounds. It's such a sad day for Hillary and it really could have been a closer contest if she was really as "experienced" as she claims.

Macunaima   February 20th, 2008 12:24 am ET

I decided not to watch CNN or MSNBC anymore. It is disgusting. They decide to annoint Obama. It is so sad. Oprah called him "the one" This is ridiculous. I want a president not a science fiction character. I hope McCain exposes Obama . His wife Michele scares me. The media has given her a fair ride. Many people will not vote for him and the Republicans will win.
I also used to contribute for the Democratic National Party but I will stop doing after what they had done to Florida, They knew that the democrats in Florida could not do anything about the date of the primaries. Why the party did not keep at least half of the delegates like the Republicans ?

Hillary is useless   February 20th, 2008 12:21 am ET

She is so great at implementing change, kind of like her first shot at health care?

The reason people like Obama is that they are tired of the same old thing coming out of Washington - nothing. Politicians are more focused on steroids in baseball than fixing social security, educating our youth, etc.

carol   February 20th, 2008 12:19 am ET

McCain will have it all wrapped up if Obama get the nomination. Democrats for McCain. Go McCain, you will win Fl. You don't steal peoples votes and expect to win here the next time around, doesn't work like that. So DEmocrats for Hillary if ANti Christ is on the ticket work like hell for McCain. I have roots in Pa, also and along with Fl will work like hell to elect McCain, and I don't like him either but he is a better choice than that communist, anti American Obama.

Hillary or McCain

poochies   February 20th, 2008 12:17 am ET

Is that the best you guys can think of? The only thing you can say about Obama is that he gives good speeches!?!?! Well its not his fault that hillary sucks at talking and he is naturally gifted!

JP   February 20th, 2008 12:17 am ET

Hillary Clinton says " It's about picking a president…….but the voters don't know what's good for them so we'll pick one for you by going against your will and paying off the superdelegates……we'll even try to steal Obama's pledged delegates." The DNC is a total joke.

Crystal in CA   February 20th, 2008 12:15 am ET

Why is it Obama's fault that CNN decided to cut away from Hillary's speech that was delayed a couple of hours? There were people waiting in Texas to hear him speak.

Again, why is the broadcasting decision by CNN Obama's fault?

You Clinton supporters are really starting to sound crazy. it's like you guys are running around screaming "The sky is falling! The sky is falling!" Buy a clue. Hillary is running a terrible campaign and it is no one's fault but her own. Stop pointing the finger all of the time. It's typical I guess. You are after all Clinton supporters, the master of not wanting to accept blame for anything. She'll cut you down where you stand before she cops to anything.

OBAMA 08′

young american   February 20th, 2008 12:10 am ET

Look, I am a huge Hillary fan, but Obama is right for the country now. I do not respond well to negative campaigns that cut fellow democrats down. We need to unite together for the good of our country.

John   February 20th, 2008 12:09 am ET

No, it's about accepting the obvious, that Obama is our savior. It's futile to go against him.

I am so salivating over the fact that when he gets elected this November, he will bring us to the promise land that will be way beyond heaven. Just imagine us all living in eternal happiness and pleasure *drools*.

Our wills are yours Obama. Command us to do whatever you wish. Our purpose is to serve you and you alone. May you bless down upon us.

Sean   February 20th, 2008 12:06 am ET

Reading these comments from the Obama supporters makes me realize why McCain is the CLEAR CHOICE if Obama is the DNC nominee. For someone that is a "uniter," the supporters are "dividers." And enjoy having the GOP help for now, because once the gloves come off, they are going to ransack Barack!

Texas4Obama   February 20th, 2008 12:04 am ET

Yes Hillary it IS about picking a president.

A nominee that can beat McCain in the general election.

That is why Texans will be voting for Senator Obama!

Senator Obama - experience, wisdom, and integrity!

Jdowns   February 19th, 2008 11:54 pm ET

I think we have just seen the standard and quality of the Democratic Party continue to be lowered today. Raising questions about your opponent's qualifications and asking what is the plan, is not running a negative campaign. Obama's plan to date is inconsistent at best and non-existent at worst. No one is asking what Obama is planning to change. No one is looking at the lack of change Obama has championed in Illinois. It is sad that a vote for Obama is based on who he isn't versus the strength of his policies or plan for America. So we are again going to push forward a candidate that promises change but does not have a plan to achieve it.

Liz   February 19th, 2008 11:52 pm ET

I think the Obamanation joyride is about Barack Obama's ability to play emotional heartstrings–especially depressed and angry ones. We may have a record number of angry voters this year.

I watched his victory/stump speech tonight. It doesn't matter if he's inexperienced, illogical, unoriginal in script, misleading, hesitant, moving from left to center in a day, or badly paraphrasing his opponents. What matters is he is saying everything his followers want to hear and promising all things good to his followers.

I'm still waiting to see what lies beneath his questionable words.

I don't care if America doesn't like what superdelegates do in June. I want a secure nation in which to pursue happiness. This is the area Obama stumbled on tonight–national security. He barely touches it in his stump speeches. If he has to attack, he will. Exactly what does he mean by that? McCain would eat him alive in the General Election WITHOUT the help of the Republican Attack Machine.

notafan   February 19th, 2008 11:10 pm ET

I was firmly in the Clinton camp but Obama almost had me convinced to sway with all the smooth talking and promises…that is…until he said this:

"Sen. Clinton — her argument yesterday was, well, 'Obama is a talker and not a doer. He makes speeches, I offer solutions.' I understand that as we get further and further along in this process, that some of the arguments get sillier and sillier,"

The proper response to Clinton would have been to discuss facts, not spew this kind of nasty response. I'm now listening more carefully to what he has to say. It's ALL style and NO substance. If he's nominated, we may as well let McCain win. At least he's got something to say.

Chris in Va.   February 19th, 2008 11:09 pm ET

Most Clintion supporters (re:sore losers) say they will vote for McCain, and I truly hope they will! Obama will still win! WE DON'T NEED YOU!!!

Gregg   February 19th, 2008 11:08 pm ET

Why did CNN cut away from Hillary's speech. They are always taping a talk so why not this evening. Shame Shame. You have noticed that most ot those people on Cnn are men - does that say anything or tell us what is up/

Craig R   February 19th, 2008 11:08 pm ET

Thanks for deleting my comment cnn

Oregon Voter   February 19th, 2008 11:08 pm ET

CNN, if you want to be a trusted name in news then you need to show fair coverage of the election. Many people wanted to hear the rest of Hillary's speech, and even your website's live feed was cut. There's no reason for that, and no excuse.

The only loser tonight was CNN.

canuk   February 19th, 2008 11:07 pm ET

so wish I could vote in this most exciting election…OBAMA is inspiring but the Clintons are like that houseguest that will drink your last beer and expect you to go out and buy more…America u cannot seriously be thinking about returning to them to the White House …

Greenidge Atlanta, GA   February 19th, 2008 11:07 pm ET

Hillary continues to say that Obama gives great speeches but has no experience. My question is :Why does Hillary sound more and more like Obama every speech. She is trying to sound like him.

Anthony   February 19th, 2008 11:07 pm ET

CNN should broadcast the entire Clinton speech and owes its viewers an apology

Texasboo   February 19th, 2008 11:06 pm ET

Mark from Hollywood   February 19th, 2008 11:05 pm ET

Keep HILL-BILLy out of the White House. They did enough damage last visit. Vote Obama '08

Pat S austin   February 19th, 2008 11:05 pm ET

Which solutions? Hillary has not done anything yet. she is all speeches, except hers turn off, while his turn on. Have you listen to her speeches?
Her experience is not more than his, senator since 2000; that's it, not much than Barack. Her thirty on years of experience is the number of years she is married to Bill clinton. All those "giving' she talks about were paid obligations to her 6 figure jobs, and large firms of which she was a board member.
what has she solved? the health care under her husband's presidency?

zoey   February 19th, 2008 11:04 pm ET

doesn't she look tired?

Bleuceruleum   February 19th, 2008 11:03 pm ET

Why doesn't she give it a break? Yes, it is about picking a president and why she feels she is better qualified is beyond me. Does being First Lady make her more adept? Look at the leadership within the campaigns. She's had toss-ups and let people go. She hasn't raised the much needed money, and she has run a campaign based on slurs, lies, and a lack of integrity. Is this a leader for our country? Is this the way she will handle an internal or external threat or crisis?

Look at Obama's record. He hasn't just sat on his bottom in his home state doing nothing. He's as qualified as she is- more so because he is, I feel, sincere and will do his danmdest. Hillary Henny Penny, please stop screaching and go lay an egg somewhere.

TerryD   February 19th, 2008 11:03 pm ET

NOTE TO HILLARY R. CLINTON

Is it possible that Lou Dobbs is encouraging Republicans to switch over to Independants because Independants are permitted to vote in the Democratic primaries thus undermining your lead.

If that is the case, the Repubicans are undermining you support groups, and that is their idea of Swift Boating you, Hillary R.Clinton.

Is it possible for a survey to be taken on all these so called Lou Dobbs new Independants to see if their original affiliation was to the Republican Party.

Huh, those nasty, cleaver Clinton Conspirators…

Brenda Greenwood   February 19th, 2008 11:01 pm ET

Mr. Obama is credited with including content for the first time in
his Texas speech. It is obvious that this is the first time the reporters who make that claim has watched his speech.

Can you reply the portions of Mr. Obama's speech when the CNN personnel were talking with the mic turned on?

Ben   February 19th, 2008 11:01 pm ET

And by solutions, does she mean voting for Iraq…then opposing it…but saying she was right to vote for it? That's a "solution"?

Is she implying she's smarter than Obama? That she has some brilliant competency that he does not? It's obvious from those 18 (and counting) debates that she's not.

Is she implying that her "experience" as first lady is more impressive than his experience (lawyer, author, senator, community organizer)? He's accomplished significantly more than she has.

Is she implying that her education (Wellesley + Yale Law) is more impressive than his education (Columbia + Harvard Law)? They're basically the same…except he graduated magma cum laude and she didn't.

He's just a better candidate. If she didn't have "brand name", this would have been over long ago.

She's right about one thing… It's about choosing a President. And in this case, it's a choice between brand name and a better candidate. Let's hope the Coke-a-Cola of politics loses its fizzzz…..

WhitemanforObama   February 19th, 2008 11:00 pm ET

I'm sorry but if you are actually sitting at home and eating this nonsense up that Clinton has continually been spewing, you need a dose of reality.

1. Obama has plenty of experience. As a matter of fact, he has more ELECTED office experience than Clinton does (10 years to 7). If you honestly believe her when she says he has done nothing ever and doesn't know what hard work is, you need to check your facts

2. Obama has plans that are actually more detailed and cover a broader range of topics than Clinton does - don't believe me then check his website. Her healthcare plan is strikingly similar to his plan, which by the way, he brought forth (March/April 2007) 6 months before she brought forth hers (September 2007). He's all speeches she says? Maybe the next time you hear her say that, you should recall the very cordial debate they had prior to Super Tuesday when she sat there and admitted, as did Obama, that they both have plans and that the differences between them are very few.

Get the facts and think for yourself people.

Derrick   February 19th, 2008 10:59 pm ET

There is so much repeating of what one candidate says about another. I wish these guy and gals would give more time to what the candidates say about themselves and examine how they say they are going to go about doing what they say they are going to do.

Pretty Please?

Henri   February 19th, 2008 10:59 pm ET

Brian, I'm 27 and from Toronto and let me very clear in saying we want no part of Billary. They are not welcome here either.

GO OBAMA!!!

deborah   February 19th, 2008 10:58 pm ET

The Americans are going right down the pundit path. CNN and FOX have sold Americans on Obama, cause they want McCain to win. You can be sure it will play out just as the" powers that be" want it to. The talking heads have pulled off another snow job. Say goodbye to any CHJANGE.

Erick   February 19th, 2008 10:58 pm ET

Don't worry Hillary fans, they'll probably rebroadcast the speech at 4am. If she had been more gracious in her last two speeches, which Obama let air, he would have let this one air as well. It was her choice and she decided to be a sore loser… again… and again… When is enough, enough? Hopefully Texas will decide to put the cross over the rotting grave that she calls an electoral campaign.

Anonymous   February 19th, 2008 10:58 pm ET

Clinton is about details and unfortunately, today proves for the 9th time in a row that our country has an extremely short attention span. Obama is hope, hype, and hyperbole–easy to swallow, calming and spirited combined. Hillary is a doer but our country clearly doesn't want any of what she is offering–demonstrated by CNN for not even showing her entire speech.

Rockymo   February 19th, 2008 10:57 pm ET

Sour grapes…

Joe from Texas   February 19th, 2008 10:57 pm ET

i supported hillary until i heard both her and obama speak tonight…both spoke in specifics but hillary just sounds like more of the same

STEVEN   February 19th, 2008 10:56 pm ET

Okay…Anyways for the OBAMA supporters that are brainwashed by speeches that are not 100% original… He will not be president because at the end Politicians and superdelegates are going to make the desicion on who is the best prepare candidate to start fixing the problems in The Oval Office from day one and we all know that candidate is HILLARY.

and for those naive people that thing Obama has won the democratic nomination. Thing again. IT"S NOT OVER TILL ITS OVER. There are still millions of people in Texas ,Ohio, Pennslyvania, Vermont that have their vote and for what I know Texans democrats are smart …and smart people vote for the smart candidate which is HILLARY CLINTON
Enjoy your last victory Obama because Hillary will end your momentum in Texas primary/caucus and Ohios primary

HILLARY 08

HOUSTON TEXAS LOVES THE CLINTONS

Joseph   February 19th, 2008 10:55 pm ET

The 'Democratic Race' may be like a long pawn chess battle … a real expert analyses the situation and resigns - earns more respect. It is time for the Clintons to call it quits and watch more debates between McCain and Obama. American needs change and NOW is the time with a working majority.

Trish   February 19th, 2008 10:55 pm ET

Why is it that those for Obama are the ones who call Hillary "Billary", "The Queen", blame her for her husband's affair, etc. and are so incredibly rude and juvenile calling out Hillary supporters on these blogs, using slang, making fun of her to go back to the kitchen (and her supporters), etc. instead of stating facts for why Obama is the better job candidate? It's pretty telling that the Obama supporters, like their candidate, have "only words" and no facts to support their decisions.

Ed   February 19th, 2008 10:55 pm ET

It looks as though people are finally sick and tired of the "same old politicians" that have led this country down the dangerous path we live in today. Time for the politicians to realize we CAN CHANGE this country.

Shelly-in-PA   February 19th, 2008 10:54 pm ET

Here in Florida we picked Hillary and if Obama wins I say to all Hillary supporters Vote for anyone BUT!!! Obama. I sure will.

Maria   February 19th, 2008 10:54 pm ET

Why would voters pick Hillary when Obama gets free 24 hour plugs by CNN, MSNBC, FOX. Of course this honeymoon will come to an abrupt end if he is the nominee and again the naive democrats will give the presidency away on a silver platter. WAKE UP. 12 of the states that Obama has won are OPEN caucuses and primaries. I am sure if you Obama worshippers think real hard you will figure it out. I don't understand how most of you allow the media to push down your throats the candidate they want you to vote for. Let me remind all of you this is for the PRESIDENCY not the next pop star. Exhibit A Hillary was speaking and Obama decided that was when he wanted to make his speech. What did CNN & MSNBC do? Cut off Hillary so Obama could have another 25 minutes of listening to himself speak. Can someone please video tape him so he can watch himself later and not subject the rest of us to have to watch him GLOAT over himself, over and over again.

mathew   February 19th, 2008 10:54 pm ET

hey Brian, lets be real here i am from canada we don't want Hillary supporters here. If you guys elect here you will look like a joke to the rest of the world. Democrates and Republicans or Bushies and Clintons, Canada is for Obama!!

Emmanuel, Ind   February 19th, 2008 10:54 pm ET

And why should Obama respect hillarys sore losing tactics. Hillary fails to be a lady by first thanking Wisconsinites for coming out for her in freezing temperatures, and failing to congratulate Obama on his win. So why should we Americans be allowed to see such rude, disrespectful and arrogant behavior LIVE from Hillary.

Go tell that to the average WI that went out in 5 degress temperature to vote for her. You Hillary people are disgusting. And I seriously hope people like you don't vote for Obama because it will be a win win situation for us. When Obama wins the general elections then eat your words out, but if we lose then the ladies suffer more when we lose the judge in the supreme court.

We should all come together now and get a democrat into the white house and stop talking like sore losers. Its your pocket that will be affected too because Hillary and Obama will be just fine. So tell me who is kidding who?

Noeline in California   February 19th, 2008 10:53 pm ET

Obama needs to write some original speeches and include some substance. There is no way I'm voting for a Democratic that has not come up with an original idea or speech and has a hard time verbalizing policy. Give me a break! when I hear his advisers are Carter advisers and hear his wife Michelle tell us what a wonderful person he is ….it makes me cringe! That does not make a President. Look at what Carter's presidency was! And I love Carter the man. I will not vote for him if he is the nominee. Take a listen to what McCain is saying and I have to agree with him. I will not vote for inexperience when it's not backed up with ideas and solutions. Rhetoric, any one can have.

lula   February 19th, 2008 10:53 pm ET

Yeah it is about picking a president and America is picking Obama. Sorry Hillary no one wants you. Please put your ego and selfishness aside and stop your negative campaign. its time for Democrats to unite around Obama and push on through into the White House.

vivian   February 19th, 2008 10:51 pm ET

Shhhhhh! Hillary is a closet case Obama mama! She can't help herself, she is mezmorized! intoxified! stupified by his awesome speeches. They must be working, she has become a speech maker herself. She is following in his footsteps, she is getting smarter. Hillary, just do what Obama does and you should get there sometime!

H Galal   February 19th, 2008 10:49 pm ET

The only solution that I am looking for is the one for which you are the problem. Time to call it quits, HRC!!!!

Mike   February 19th, 2008 10:49 pm ET

Wait, I thought Hillary wasn't about speeches? What was that? Words don't matter but solutions do? How do you intend to get your solutions acted upon without using words? I guess Hillary won't mind when CNN switches over to Obama's speech while she is in the middle of hers. Remember, from her own mouth, words don't mean anything.

After all, speeches are just words. You can't use words to communicate a vision. You can't use words to persuade. You can't use words to compromise. You can't use words to direct. You can't use words to spur a person into action.

Yeah words don't move mountains. But neither does one person working alone. Without words, the constructs of language, nothing gets done in society of millions.

If I was CNN, I would have cut her off mid speech too. It is not like anything she says would mean anything. She said it her self. Words mean nothing.

fred   February 19th, 2008 10:49 pm ET

Oh! It's about picking a President!!!! Now I get it!

Jen   February 19th, 2008 10:49 pm ET

If it's about picking a president, then we certainly shouldn't pick you. GO BARACK OBAMA!!!

Richard, Portsmouth, VA   February 19th, 2008 10:48 pm ET

I have heard Hillary say many times that she can be trusted when the speeches are over and the cameras are turned off, but i remember that it was reported that she spoke about her plan for social security after a speech sometimes last year. It was overheard by a reporter. Who is missing something here and who can be trusted? I guess she knows the answer too but it is definitely nor her.

Wilbur W   February 19th, 2008 10:48 pm ET

It's over, Hillary. Give it up.

Gerald   February 19th, 2008 10:48 pm ET

LOL,

Its fun reading all these Billary losser remarks.

Will, CA   February 19th, 2008 10:47 pm ET

There are picking. They are choosing Barack Obama!

Angela M - Canada   February 19th, 2008 10:47 pm ET

You did show another 4 or 5 minutes of Clinton's speech. Therefore we seen 5 minutes of the first & 5 minutes of the last, what was said in between? To make it fair & balanced, you should replay her speech tomorrow night in Prime Time as you did for Obama.

Make it at least a fair race.

ARE THEY SERIOUS   February 19th, 2008 10:47 pm ET

OBAMA 08

in not (WHICH WOULD BE THE BIGGEST SHOCK) then

HILLARY 08

George from Minneapolis   February 19th, 2008 10:47 pm ET

That was awesome how Obama knocked Hillary off all the airways at the same time. The next time she wants to go negative, she should think about the payback.

ana   February 19th, 2008 10:46 pm ET

Do you remember that in 2004, George Bush was the "darling" of the the big media and look the mess we are in. Now they are picking up Obama and the people are falling for it again. Now, obviously, Obama is not a Bush–but the inexperience and cockiness are the same…so think before you vote or you may be very sorry for a long while. Only Hillary Clinton is the right person since Edwards is no longer in the race.

richard rinaldi   February 19th, 2008 10:46 pm ET

Good, no one's LISTENING to CNN's BIASED!
We KNOW BETTER …
Better pour it on even thicker for Hillary NOW WOLF! Yea Dobbs…run the "plagerism" spot…JUST ONE MORE TIME!

(ppsst…little secret…no one's listening guys)

I know you won't post this, Only wanted CNN to read it anyway

Ryan from Springfield   February 19th, 2008 10:46 pm ET

I find it amusing when i hear people say that Barack Obama is only a speech giver.

Just because someone is good at something, it doesn't meen that is all they are capable of doing.

Barack Obama…a great speaker, great politician, and a future great President of the United States

Joe nyc   February 19th, 2008 10:46 pm ET

I think Hillary is plagiarizing herself… After Iowa and before New Hampshire she cried wolf when she teared up repeating "I'm a doer, not a talker". Now she's more innovative, she's really saying the same thing "it's solutions, not speeches". Good try…

Ashley   February 19th, 2008 10:46 pm ET

Nathan,

Obama's rally start times are set in advance and posted clearly on his website. She knew…

If anyone deserves an apology it is Obama. Another loss without thanking supporters or congratulating the winner… now that is adolescent!!!

Janet   February 19th, 2008 10:45 pm ET

CNN, thank you for correcting your mistake and replaying Hillary's speech. It was very rude of CNN to turn off her speech to listen to Obama's incredibly long, long, same old speech. He talks way to much. You could have listened to the end of Hillary and replayed Obama's (I'm sure you are taping it). The same thing if you turned off Obama to listen to Hillary. He's getting a lot more free airtime than she is.

ARE THEY SERIOUS   February 19th, 2008 10:45 pm ET

There is no way Bush's mini-me can beat OBAMA in a debate. "I know they are looking through my kindegarden papers" (OBAMA SAID THIS IN ANOTHER ONE OF HIS "HOPE" SPEECHES) and still they can't find anything to talk about but his speeches (which every speech McCain gives is read and not sincere AT ALL) and the very logic statement made by his wife. They have a very steep uphill battle. I can't wait to see the debate between McCain and OBAMA!

JA Cook   February 19th, 2008 10:45 pm ET

Once in a while I agree with Hillary. It IS about picking a President.

And she doesn't appear to be the nation's pick.

Time to be graceful and healing Hillary. Pull in the claws and get on message or get out.

Rebecca - O.C.   February 19th, 2008 10:45 pm ET

We are counting on you TEXAS … Give 'em all you got … give it to Hillary Clinton!! The deserving candidate and the real person to get the job done … not some suit on stage that gives preaching and ryhming on stage and has no real foundation! America will never let this character in the white house … we need real solutions!!!!

Hillary 2008!!!!

JOHN   February 19th, 2008 10:45 pm ET

57% TO 42% =WINNING MARGIN AND THE TOTAL OF MCCAIN'S AGE.

B. Smart   February 19th, 2008 10:44 pm ET

It IS the speech. OBAMA. 08!

David Snider   February 19th, 2008 10:44 pm ET

Hillary didnt even thank WI people for voting for her. or congratulate Obama on his "9th" victory in a row…

Plus, Obama was making a "victory" speech. Thats the reason why CNN and all other news networks cut Clinton out. She needs to stop hogging the spotlight, and wait in line, behind Obama when making her 2nd place finish speech.

Obama is first as is the race….

DemFan   February 19th, 2008 10:44 pm ET

If "It's About Picking a President," then why isn't she backing Obama? He leads her as being the most likely to beat McCain???

H2oVision   February 19th, 2008 10:44 pm ET

I am a republican, but in this era of turmoil, I want to hear what all the candidates have to say on the issues so that I can make an informed decision. I was sitting in an airport lounge watching Hillary Clinton when you decided to peel away and go to Obama. While I want to hear what Obama has to say, I think it was rude and unfair to your viewers as well as Hillary. Is CNN trying to have a coronation of young Mr. Obama? I wish the airport had another station to get fair reporting.

Jeremy   February 19th, 2008 10:43 pm ET

If Obama wins this nomination, I am voting republican. An absolute Charlatan with nothing but empty words deceiving the American people. wake up America!!

Edward Green   February 19th, 2008 10:43 pm ET

Nathan, get real.If Hillary had graciously accepted defeat and acknowledged the winner they would have given her the time to finish her speech. In election, you win or lose and is politically correct to accept your position.Consistently she has not done that. All she knows is to attack Obama on trivial issues. Speeches copied? Give me a break! When she has done that on a number of occasions.

Sue, Michigan   February 19th, 2008 10:42 pm ET

So the Hillary-haters cannot even see Obama's true colors when he shows them. It was rude, childish, and truly demeaning for him to start his speech when she was in the middle of hers. If you people stay on this bandwagon, I think you're headed for a fall.
The media has not begun to 'vet him, and I'm certain Rove has all kinds of disgusting stuff waiting in the wings. What can they dig up on Hillary? Nada, been there done that. But Barack, oh, he's an open field for the Republicans. And since the media continues to annoint him and not question him, we could all be in trouble.
I do think that the two debates will enlighten people. He really doesn't have much to say, which is why he refused a debate in Wisconsin.
Keep counting those delegates-Hillary is not out of this yet!!!

Joe nyc   February 19th, 2008 10:42 pm ET

Enough babling Hillary… please give us a break.. the drawback here is that we would have to put up with you when you come back to your night job in New York…

HD   February 19th, 2008 10:41 pm ET

Her speech did not acknowledge Wisconsin at the start and she did not thank her supporters in Wisconsin who spent their time and energy to vote for her. Disrespcectful in my opinion. McCain has more grace and dignity.

William   February 19th, 2008 10:41 pm ET

A vote for Hillary is not a vote for change in spite of what she would have you believe.

A vote for Hillary is a vote for just more of the same from the couple that brought this country NAFTA, exported jobs, no energy policy, and scandal.

No thanks, Hillary.

hillary 08:   February 19th, 2008 10:41 pm ET

CNN, nice cut to the pretty speech boy….
GIVE them all fair coverage!
Hillary has been unfairly covered, unfairly criticized by your people and it is annoying.

I WILL VOTE FOR HER when it's Pennsylvania's turn!

Change is a lame political blah blah blah term!

HR   February 19th, 2008 10:41 pm ET

Nathan needs a relaity check. CNN cut off Obama speech last week to go to McCains speech and no one started whining. And since when is being an exceptional speaker a negative?? Only a Hillary supporter could dream that up. "All those speech givers like Lincoln, Churchill, Roosevelt they were terrible leaders" you need to put down the mouse and pick up some books!!

Matt in IA   February 19th, 2008 10:41 pm ET

Hillary, WE WILL???? Talk about a rip off from Barack's YES WE CAN!!!! Think of something better than that, Hillary.

anon   February 19th, 2008 10:40 pm ET

For all of you whiners out there it's on CNN right now, turn on your television.

Obama 08 !

cheryl lininger   February 19th, 2008 10:40 pm ET

i was just listening to senator obama's speech in texas. he refered to how the other candidates are turning on each other by issues such as, and one stuck out, gay people. he refered to that population as "people not like us". was that a slip of the tongue, his true feelings accidently thrown out there. "people not like us"? did anyone else catch this? mr. obama, that was not a wise choice of words. if gay people are "not like you", why would they feel comfortable voting for you.

Joe   February 19th, 2008 10:39 pm ET

Obama voters you are voting for a package that has nothing in it. You are voting for promises and nothing more. I will be looking for you if Obama gets the nomination and takes the white house in November to laugh in your faces. Because this country is going to go to HELL. I will be the one wearing the shirt that says I told you so. Should of voted for HILLARY

FLY   February 19th, 2008 10:39 pm ET

CNN RE-BROADCAST HILLARY'S SPEECH.
I want to see HILLARY'S speech re-broadcast in full on CNN, ON AIR.

Holly, Kansas City, MO   February 19th, 2008 10:39 pm ET

You're right, Hillary! It is about choosing a president. That's why your campaign is sinking!!

Finally, we agree about something. =)

Joshua   February 19th, 2008 10:37 pm ET

Nathan,

Hillary's speech was scheduled for an hour before she took the stage. That is not Obama's fault.

Jordan, New York   February 19th, 2008 10:37 pm ET

Woah, slow down. I think Senator Clinton would be the first to point out that these aren't "Election night speeches." If they were, she would've been talking about the election that had just taken place instead of giving her standard stump speech. Emotions seem to be running a bit high. Let's all take a deep breath and try out best to focus on policy and character. After all, it appears as though we're choosing a president, right?

Barry, Oregon   February 19th, 2008 10:37 pm ET

Well, sure, Hillary, if you have lousy public speaking ability, you have to attack Obama's ability to speak and motivate. So, let's see, your solution is to float a smear 24-hours before the Wisconsin vote about "plagarism" and then run from the story your own campaign planted? Is Carl Rove one of your consultants?

Corey, Maryland   February 19th, 2008 10:37 pm ET

Hey Hillary, the country is picking a president, and its doing a darn good job, and that is why Obama has won the last 7 states, D.C. and the virgin Islands. We know who we want and you aren't that person. Just drop out now and get it over with. Also I'm glad Hillary's speech was cut out, cause I can't stand listening to her. Its like nails on a chalkboard to me.

Obama Richardson 08!!!!!! Edwards as Attorney General!!!

Tim W. Ohio   February 19th, 2008 10:36 pm ET

My party is now doing what it always does better than any political party and that is snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory!

Hillary take the kid on in the debates HARD!!! Please tell Edwards to grow a pair and do the right thing and endorse you.

The cause endures, the work goes on and the dream shall never die-tk

Smart Democrat   February 19th, 2008 10:36 pm ET

Change Change Change

I'm already so over it….listening to Obama sputter sentence fragments and watching uninformed people jump in line since change sounds good when things suck. But, what are we changing exactly Mr. Obama??

cajun joe   February 19th, 2008 10:36 pm ET

This is a sad day in American politics. The herd mentality is setting in. On a positive note, the next President of the United States,
John McCain is guaranteed a win no matter which of these two losers are selected at the convention. All of you that say they are moving to Canada, I hope you keep your promise.

Roysan   February 19th, 2008 10:36 pm ET

You have to love it….cutting into her speach was BRILLIANT! Hillary has to be steaming….double ouch. LOL

Ito, Yokosuka Japan   February 19th, 2008 10:36 pm ET

How many times has HRC's catch phrase changed. How it is "Solutions for America". Obama hasn't changed his slogan, "Change We Can Believe In".

If HRC could figure out what her message is and stop changing it so much, maybe she wouldn't be in the spot she is in.

She is a confused, poll-driven, undecisive candidate now and she would be a confused, poll-driven, and undecisive President.

Let's vote for Obama who is right on day one; and therefore, ready on day one. Sorry, Mrs. Clinton, saying you are ready on day one does not make you ready on day one.

vivian   February 19th, 2008 10:34 pm ET

Hillary, we are picking a president! have you missed what has gone on for the last two to three weeks. We have been picking a president. I am sure it doesn't seem like it to you have not won a primary in the last nine. But you know what Hillary, how about thnaking the people who voted for you anyway. Why is it you always ignore, turn your back on and forget to thank the many people who have voted for you?
How about the, so far 200,000.00 people who voted for you in Wisconsin? no thank you to them? what a shame, what selfish behavior this is. At least say thank you! and you have the nerve to say that it is about the people, that this is not about you! oh my God! it is only about you.

Linda Cornejo   February 19th, 2008 10:34 pm ET

I am amazed that Obama has made it this far it is as if it is a cult following. I cant believe that the people of our country are willing to put our fate and our future in a person that has absolutely no experiance to run our country. He has not said one thing that I have seen that would make me feel good about voting for him infact if he gets the Democratic Nomination I will vote Republican. I wish people would wake up from this fairy tale and really think about what they are doing. I think that one day he might make a good President I just feel he needs to simmer a bit longer. In the times that we live in this is such and important decision and I think the people got to caught up in the star attention and also the media attention. Wake up people this is a huge mistake

MT   February 19th, 2008 10:34 pm ET

For a minute there I was upset about them cutting off Mrs. Clinton's speech, but then I remembered: Speeches don't matter!

Ann, Los Angeles   February 19th, 2008 10:34 pm ET

This countrys voters are disgusting for their 'reasons' for voting for a President. Shame on those who think it only takes words…….Senator Obama will fail to win the White House and if I lived in Michigan or Florida I would surely vote Republican.

I wonder how many voters in Michigan were registered Republican and voted for Obama…………

They are setting him up for failure!

K&G   February 19th, 2008 10:34 pm ET

Remain surprised at the Obama campaign ability to avoid the tough questions we should be asking of someone with such limited experience. What is it with the media and this guy? We're reminded of the movie "The Candidate", when the Robert Redford character says, upon winning, "Now what do we do?" Hey we elected an inexperienced guy 8 years ago, remember? His name was George W. Bush.

fair tax in la.   February 19th, 2008 10:33 pm ET

VERY SAD DEMOCRATS, YOU GUYS ARE SO FRIGGEN SAD!!!!!!!

JF   February 19th, 2008 10:33 pm ET

Shame on you CNN. I am sick of how you feature Obama on the network like he is Jesus, rising again. SHOW THE FULL CLINTON SPEECH.

pj   February 19th, 2008 10:32 pm ET

how could she not say a thank you to the 43% percent of Wisconsin voters that came out to support her?? forget the lack of decency to congratulate obama, what about those blue collar americans who came to your rally's and supported you? too sore to say thank you just cause you lost, again?
shameful.

aware   February 19th, 2008 10:32 pm ET

Hillary the HOPE of 08

I will vote words with content over just words. Who would have ever heard of Mother Theresa if she just said, "love/peace' or Gandhi if he had just said "justice" or who would have remembered MLK if he had just said "I have a dream" without his marches and putting his very life on the line. :(

Whoever the next president is it will be a change but the transformation of America will take disciplined, sustained effort - every day hard work!

obi   February 19th, 2008 10:32 pm ET

A resounding "NO" by Wisconsin to negative campaigning. Take notes democrats.

Michael Cole   February 19th, 2008 10:32 pm ET

I don't feel it was right of you to cut off Hilary's speech and then give Obama full coverage. No wonder he is winning, you give him more coverage. It should be equal time. People are not getting to hear her full speech, so they are going with what he says. I enjoy your election coverage more than other stations, but you need to equal up the time for the canidates.

Hillary2008   February 19th, 2008 10:32 pm ET

Go Hillary! This is just Obama's last show……

Vote for Hillary! Obama is such a fake person!

Farrell, Houston, Tx   February 19th, 2008 10:32 pm ET

Sorry Hillary, this native Ohioian is voting for Obama. Change is coming to Ohio. Vote Obama.

K Fergus   February 19th, 2008 10:31 pm ET

You go girl. You are absolutely right. Substance over rhetoric any day. Keep up the fight. We know you could do a great job as president.

Leo   February 19th, 2008 10:31 pm ET

Hillary is an intelligent candidate, but today is Mr. Obama's day. He is the candidate for change and the candidate to best unite this country.

Thank you everyone in Wisconsin for giving us this wonderful evening and setting the stage for our future. The future of this nation is so important and the people will decide.

Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!

Jeff, Huntington Beach, CA   February 19th, 2008 10:31 pm ET

Lucas, Nashville TN   February 19th, 2008 10:29 pm ET

LOL

It's about getting your rear end kicked, Hillary. Changing slogans once again? Sure sign of desperation.

It's over. Drop out.

HD   February 19th, 2008 10:28 pm ET

Thank you Wisconsin!

To all of the Bill Clinton supporters on here, 9 states in a row since Super Tuesday! Obama has won 24 of 35 states so far and leads by more than 120 pledged delegates with more coming tonight.

The Clintons were winning the polls in Wisconsin by 10-15% for all of 2007 and their lead slipped to defeat in 2 short months in 2008. How can you explain how she lost this much support in such a short period of time?

The Clintons started to run some pretty funny negative ads which shows that they are willing to rip apart the democratic party that I love in order to win for themselves.

There is a lot of work for Obama to do in the next few weeks. The polls are tight in Texas (with a 4% margin of error and 10% undecided voters it could go either way, especially with such a large latino community) and the Clintons are winning in the polls in Ohio and in Pennsylvania. Please continue to make donations to his campaign because he will need all of the help he can get to overcome the status quo candidate.

Nathan   February 19th, 2008 10:27 pm ET

RE-BROADCAST HILLARY'S SPEECH. AND CNN AND OBAMA SHOULD APPOLOGIZE.

Obama knew that Hillary was speaking and still chose to start his speech. That was a risk he took, and CNN should not have fallen into his trap. What an adolescent!
