The 1.4-million Teamsters union will endorse Sen. Barack Obama, sources tell CNN.
(CNN) - Two Democratic sources tell CNN's Candy Crowley the International Brotherhood of Teamsters will endorse Barack Obama.
The Teamsters represents roughly 1.4 million members, making it one of the largest and influential labor unions.
Obama was endorsed Friday by the Service Employees International Union, the largest union with a membership of 1.5 million.
The Obama campaign also announced that the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers had decided to back the Illinois senator's White House bid.
UPDATE: Obama will meet with Teamsters leader James Hoffa later Wednesday.

Too many holes to stop the sinking ship now Hillary.
Excellent endorsement.
Way to go Teamsters!
OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT
Unions... read "The Communist Manifesto". This stinks of basic Marxism/Communism.
Pretty big endorsement. Hillary: give up. Please. I'm sure you'd be a fine president, but it's just not going to happen this time around. We need to unite this party because the Republicans are not going to be easy to beat. Continuing to jab Obama is only going to hurt the party and country
WHERE IS EDWARDS!
Now is the time for Edwards to come out in favor of Barack. He must do it before texas and Ohio to have any real value.
As a fellow North Carolinian, I call on John Edwards to join with all of us who know that Obama is the only real chance we have at winning the White House in November.
Another Ace in the hole
America Is Ready
Obama 08
Wow. Now he's getting the Mafia vote too!
Bring it home Barack!!!! I'm loving it
As a Union Member for the last sixty years i implore all union and Non Union workers to vote for Hillary Clinton and as a veteran of WW2 I implore all Vetrans to vote for Hillary Clinton
So what!! My dad will never vote for Obama – teamster or not!
Go Teamsters! How could any union endorse HRC when she and her experienced husband were primary players in the signing of NAFTA? Why might I include Hillary as a team member of the NAFTA bill, well she is qualified on day one right? Was she not there? She is taking credit for her husbands accompolishments so she should share in his failures as well don't you think?
Well, he is a "brotha"
You know those Teamsters- they're all a bunch of spoiled, latte-sipping elitists.
A big endorsement and more ground troops, thank you teamsters.
John Edwards, please come out soon, we need you on the trail for Obama.
Oh... and vote goes to Obama!
The lobbyiest and special interest group say they have endorsed Hillary Clinton .
Also the oversea laboral will also endorse Hillary because Her husband gave them good paying job.
Another part of Hillary's "core constituency" sees the light.
Will the last Hillary supporter to leave please turn out the lights?
I think this will be the 1st of many many endorsements coming out for Obama now that he has proven he is the frontrunner and can weather the Clinton political machine. The tide has turned.
I expect a lot of superdelagates are thinking the same thing.
The SS Hillary is listing and taking on water, folks. Mayday! Mayday!
Let's get it on – Obama/Edwards 08 – all readers stay sharp...we may all get pretty exhausted over the next 10 months. Every little bit of campaign rhetoric/fodder will be examined and highlighted to the hills.
Obama may win the nomination based on empty promises and flowery speeches, but he will not get the votes of the Clinton supporters. We know he is all talk–and not even his own talk. We will not drink the Obama Kool-Aid and become mindless sheep.
edwards was hedging his political bets and leaning towards hillary. he has absolutely no backbone.
It's time for all americans to get their head out of the sand and vote for Barack. I am a Hillary fan but she needs to hang it up and get behind Obama. We need to retake the WH and everything else. Mc Cain is just 4 more years of Bush rhetoric and he is too old to lead our country. We need young blood! Out with the old republicans and in with something new!
great for obama!!
I did read the Communist Manifesto, and I'm afraid that it doesn't have much in common with unions. Sorry.
Wow! Impressive ! To those many Obama critics who accuse him of simply being an empty suit... could so many other Congressional supporters and Governors who are supporting Obama be that wrong? He has literature on all of his many positions out there for anyone to read. I believe this empty suit stuff is mainly from those who can't deal with a Black man becoming our next President. They can't see beyond the color of his skin ( his "suit ").
As far as all the particulars of the criticism of Obama that has surfaced recently, if that is the best that his detractors can do, he's in pretty good shape. No man ( or woman ), politician or otherwise, is a saint. We ALL have our shortcomings. That is part of being human!
