AUSTIN, Texas (CNN) - The audience loved Clinton’s first response when asked about a time she had been tested – a deliberately vague answer that drew a knowing laugh from many in the audience. She then laid out a very eloquent response, essentially saying that her crises are nothing compared to the problems average voters confront. It's one of the few debate answers to get a standing ovation.
– CNN Senior Political Analyst Bill Schneider
They weren't giving a standing ovation to her answer, dumb clown, they were giving a standing ovation to BOTH debaters for having a good debate. Ridiculous how biased the media is in favor of the Clintons!!!
About listening to the people that Sen. Obama said. If he truely believe listening to people why did he pullout his name from the Michigan primary ballot? He say something he doesn't mean.... again talker do doer.
She knows how to act...that she cares less on whatever will happen!!! She fools herself.
STOP THE ACT!! NEXT TIME CRY ALOUD.....
Hillary Clinton demonstrated her ability to lead. She has the knowledge and experience to deal with world leaders and national politics. She is seasoned and confident. Barrack Obama is likeable but lacks substance.
Obama clearly won this one. They thought she will be able to exploit differences, however Obama brought a great stand. Hillary was not able to really try to stop him here. Obama clearly won this.
Good concession speech Hillary! Obama won hands down!!!
JUST BEAUTIFUL...that was such an incredible statement. She proved that she is as inspiring as he is..
it made me tear up
we need change in Washington!!!!Obama gives us hope and leadership for that change
I thought Hillary's conciliatory closing statements were very gracious – making it clear that even though her defeat at this point seems almost inevitable, she will still support the Democratic party.
YES YES YES She ended on her strength. Yes she showed she is a Commander. Yes he showed he is her follower
the people were standing because it was the end of the debate.
Obama seemed visibly upset that he blew it in the closing statement. When given the opportunity, he tooted his own horn. When given the opportunity, Clinton said, DUH! I've been in crises, but its nothing compared to what Americans are going through. She made it about the American people.
Kudos to Hillary!
Texas is hers.
This great debater– Hillary– does not get a knock out again? Obama is still standing– What happened? I remain disappointed in Hillary.
Did you not see the fear in OB???
Come on OBidiots!
Obama was strong all night and shows he can be commander and chief. She gave a nice ending story but that doesn't help with how she came off negative in this debate.
The standing ovation after Hillary's near tear jerk answer to her hardships was a standing ovation for the end of the debate.
She is done.
It is nice that Senator Clinton sees the struggle of the Americans around her. But it still falls weak when we all know she voted to send thousands of Americans & Allied troups, as well as 100's of thousands of Iraqs to their deaths. It bothers me that she did not see the struggle that this war has placed on nation, and the many families and communities that will never be the same because of it.
Obama started weak, but picked up. Hillary finished strong – very strong. I'd have to give it to Hillary.
You can't just be strong at the end of a debate. You have to be regal and string for the ENTIRE debate – Obama did this. This shows his ability to lead under pressure.
It felt like a goodbye speech. I'm glad to see she finally took the high road... out.
If it wasn't for Bill's BJ while in office, Hillary wouldn't have had a closing remark. How can Obama compete with that?
I am glad she didnt cry!
Really though, she has not shown that she has developed from her "experience". The only time she finds her voice and changes her tune is when the polls say she needs to.
She needed to do something, and she does. What a way to have a president.
This was Obama's best night. He kept his cool.
Hillary kept forceably coming back to healthcare and made a bad joke about Xeroxing. That last moment was too Hallmark moment for me. We don't need a crying president that calls for people's sympathy.
