Will Ralph Nader run again?
Will Ralph Nader run again?

WASHINGTON (AP) — Ralph Nader could be poised for another third party presidential campaign.

The consumer advocate will appear on NBC's "Meet the Press" on Sunday. Nader launched his 2004 presidential run on the show.

A spokesman for Nader did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

Kevin Zeese, who was Nader's spokesman during the 2004 presidential race, but is no longer working for him, said Friday that Nader has been actively talking to "lots of people on all sorts of levels" about the possibility of making another run.

Zeese said he could only guess what Nader might do, but added:

"Obviously, I don't think ("Meet the Press" host) Tim Russert would have him on for no reason."

Last month, Nader began an exploratory presidential campaign and launched a Web site that promises to fight "corporate greed, corporate power, corporate control."

Nader's appearance on "Meet the Press" was announced Friday in an e-mail message from Nader's exploratory campaign. The message from "The Nader Team" urges supporters to tell friends and family to watch the show and requests online contributions.

"As you know, we've been exploring the possibilities in recent weeks," the message says.

Nader is still loathed by many Democrats who call him a spoiler and claim his candidacy in 2000 cost Democrats the election by siphoning votes away from Al Gore in a razor-thin contest in Florida. Nader has vociferously disputed the spoiler claim, saying only Democrats are to blame for losing the race to George W. Bush.

Though he won 2.7 percent of the national vote as the Green Party candidate in 2000, Nader won just 0.3 percent as an independent in 2004, when he appeared on the ballot in only 34 states.

Nader was forced to fight dozens of court battles over ballot access in 2004, as Democrats pressed legal challenges over whether he gained enough legitimate signatures to get his name on the ballot.

Democratic National Committee spokeswoman Stacie Paxton declined to discuss how the party would respond to another Nader candidacy.

"The Democratic Party represents the change the American people are looking for and I'm confident we'll put a Democrat back in the White House in November," Paxton said.

i am voting for Hillary and no one else

Old man from Houston   February 22nd, 2008 6:04 pm ET

He does not care for the environment, consumer or anybody. He just care for his own ego. I don't think people will be fooled by him again. I would be surprised if more than 1000 Obama/Hillary supporters would vote for him. He should not get much news coverage. NBC must just care for their rating.

Will   February 22nd, 2008 6:04 pm ET

Im so glad that Nader is running. If Hillary does not get the nomination, I will definitely either vote for Nader or McCain. Yes, I have a choice now!!!

Andrew   February 22nd, 2008 6:03 pm ET

If anything Nader running helps the democrats. This pathetic excuse we have for a president now, and his administration, have the lowest approval ratings of all time. This is pushing votes away from a republican party frought with scandal, and moves them to a more liberal school of thought. So please research information before just blindly having an opinion.

martha   February 22nd, 2008 6:03 pm ET

ralph…the future…the hope for america. thank god for ralph!!! ralph for prez.. !!!! yesss!!!!!!! he can save us and lead us toward more personal greed instead of corporate greed. greed greed greed. i feel sorrow for all you people that waste your lives being greedy. be nice.

Karen   February 22nd, 2008 6:03 pm ET

You know, Ralph Nader has done nothing but good for this country and deserves more respect than what I see on this board.

Is it just too much to ask for somebody who's qualified & has a history of fighting for us? Obama's dream has been Nader's FIGHT since 1951. Here's just a few thing he's played a key role in the creation of…

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
The Freedom of Information Act
The Consumer Product Safety Commission

Did you forget that he did all this or did you just not know?

The very least you could do is hear what he has to offer. He's been on our side for too long to treat him like this.

Lynn   February 22nd, 2008 6:02 pm ET

Oh, no, not again. I still have nightmares about his last run which effectively put Bush in office. Ralph, please take your ego elsewhere.

Mike   February 22nd, 2008 6:02 pm ET

I would have voted for McCain. Now I'm voting for Nader, third time in 3 years. If he garners 5% of the populatory vote, then the Independant Party will receive the same financial backing from the US Government that they already give to the Republican and Democratic parties, and we will finally have a third party to choose from.

If you don't understand Nader's full motives, perhaps you should look them up before you trash talk.

Rob D.   February 22nd, 2008 6:02 pm ET

I would definitely vote for either Nader (or even McCain) over Obama. I'm just not buying what he been selling — not for a minute.

Joe G   February 22nd, 2008 6:02 pm ET

To all Obama supporters: Name one thing, anything, that separates Obama from Nader? There is not one issue - not one. And if that is true, then why doesn't Nader receive the same level of respect as Obama? Could it be the power of oratory? I’m starting to believe that all Obama supporters have utter disdain for anyone with experience that goes beyond a community organizer.

I'd vote for Nader before I'd ever vote for Obama.

Drew Stedman   February 22nd, 2008 6:01 pm ET

I don't understand why everyone is so ready to tear down someone who has spent his entire life fighting for the rights of people over corporate corruption and greed. I am supporting Obama this year, but this outcry against Nader is nothing short of political bigotry and is exactly what is wrong with this country. The people need more choices than a simple two party battle every year. The lack of idependent access to the ballots is unacceptable in light of the fact that idependents make up the largest percentage of registered voters. If you can't win an election don't blame another campaign… blame your own.

Eve   February 22nd, 2008 6:01 pm ET

People that think Nadar has no right to run or that he is responsible for the acts of Bush are delusional. Worse than that, they are un-American and enemies of freedom. Everyone has the right to run, not just Democrats or Republicans. If neither option is worth voting for (as will happen this year) we have the right to choose a third option, or "waste" our votes for that matter, or NOT vote.

I, for one, am hoping he will run because I just might vote for him. First I have to learn more about what he stands for and who pays his campaign bills. It's that or protest vote or don't vote at all, because Obama, Clinton, and McCain are all the SAME. They are corrupt and pander to the lobbyists. If you support one of them, you are just as bad.

JAWs   February 22nd, 2008 6:01 pm ET

Ralph: Follow Castro's fine example again and retire before you blow the environment for my great grandchildren - enough is enough!

Ryan   February 22nd, 2008 6:01 pm ET

Please Nader, RUN!

DV   February 22nd, 2008 6:00 pm ET

This is a non issue. Why is anyone covering it. Nader made himself irrelevant by running again in 2004.

Nobody who will vote for him in 2008 would vote for Obama or Clinton anyway. He will not be "stealing" any votes.

As somone who supported Ralph in the past, I'm really sorry to see his fall into complete irrelevance.

DV

SecularAnimist   February 22nd, 2008 6:00 pm ET

I am a registered Green Party voter in the state of Maryland. Because Maryland nearly always votes overwhelmingly Democratic in presidential elections, either Clinton or Obama will beat McCain in Maryland by a big margin (any Democrat who can't carry Maryland is going to lose in a national landslide). Therefore, I plan to vote for the Green Party presidential candidate in November without concern that I might help put John McCain in the White House.

However, apparently Ralph Nader is one of several people seeking the Green Party nomination (because he wants to take advantage of the Green Party's permanent ballot access in a number of states). Hopefully, as in 2004, the Green Party will nominate a real Green and not Nader. But if Nader should get the Green Party's presidential nomination, I will vote for the Democratic candidate.

Dan   February 22nd, 2008 6:00 pm ET

Nader would hurt Dems this time but not enough to lose the election. He would peel off 3 percent and either Hillary or Obama should be winning by well more than that in November. We can't blame Nader for seeing his policies as different from the Dems. No one tlaks enough green for me, but I still want to have a sane person in the White House.

trix   February 22nd, 2008 6:00 pm ET

If Hillary wins, I vote for Nadar or McCain anyone but her she cant even control her husband let alone run the country….If he really wants to make a impact he can donate some money to this mortage crisis make a real difference instead of just wasting monet

Lenore Z.   February 22nd, 2008 5:59 pm ET

Did it ever occur to anybody to wait until Sunday and hear what Ralph has to say? He is always interesting and original, regardless of whether you support him or not.
And he has a right to run, like everyone else.

Don't get hysterical, folks, I probably won't vote for him.

The 2000 election was rigged in Florida by the Bush machine, and it didn't help that Gore turned out to be such a wimp. Not Nader's fault that Bush got elected.

We need more choices, not fewer. And people need to question their choices more, as this is still a very dicey election process– nobody knows for sure what's going to happen, even if they think they do.

Rodney   February 22nd, 2008 5:58 pm ET

It wouldn't surprise me if he were in the Republicans' employ as an official spoiler to elections keeping the Democrats out of the White House

Nader No!   February 22nd, 2008 5:57 pm ET

Darth Nader please stay at home, where have you been the last 8 years

Rick   February 22nd, 2008 5:57 pm ET

What an ego! He would rather have the country face another 4 years of a Bush-like regime than support a candidate who's concerns are much more closely aligned with his.

I hope he comes to his senses and stays away. I guess he is a living breathing example of "Unsafe at any speed."

RPH   February 22nd, 2008 5:56 pm ET

I, a staunch democrat, have no problem with Nader running. He stands for a lot of good things and advocates many perspectives that have been pushed out of the political process. I also really dislike the anti-Nader sentiment expressed by so many democrats: Look folks, he didn't "lose" 2000 for us. Al Gore's crappy campaign, democrats defecting to Bush, and a bs legal process lost that election. You want to elect a democrat? Get off your butt and spread the word, don't blame Nader. Because of him you actually have a safe car to drive.

Nader No!   February 22nd, 2008 5:56 pm ET

Just Say No!

Darth Nader   February 22nd, 2008 5:55 pm ET

I am your Farther, coming back from the Dark Side!

Marge Mathis   February 22nd, 2008 5:55 pm ET

Please, Mr. Nader, STAY OUT of this year's presidential race!

You are a very selfish man who does NOT have the good of out country at heart!

Richard   February 22nd, 2008 5:55 pm ET

Hey Dems youll find a way to lose without nader

LJA in liberal Ventura   February 22nd, 2008 5:54 pm ET

Maybe Bush could Nader to Guantanamo as he's certainly looking to put our country's security in jeopardy AGAIN! Obama can then spring him when once he closes the facility down. Oh wait, Bush won't do that - he owes his presidency to Nader.

joanna   February 22nd, 2008 5:54 pm ET

if not Hillary , then McCain, if not… then anyone other than O.

Joe   February 22nd, 2008 5:54 pm ET

Please Ralph, stay home.

Remember   February 22nd, 2008 5:54 pm ET

Remember, Ralph Nader took money from the Republicans in the Al gore race

Alma Harris   February 22nd, 2008 5:54 pm ET

Who finances Ralph Nader? Someone needs to look into how he is financially able to be a spoiler in almost every presidential race, yet has almost no income, Who is financing this man?

Sam   February 22nd, 2008 5:53 pm ET

Nader, please stop pretending that you are doing anything other than feeding your overinflated ego. You are NOT helping the American people by entering the race. What, exactly, are you trying to prove by entering a race that you cannot possibly win? I appreciate your so-called consumer advocacy, but you need to figure out another way to pursue your goals.

Independent   February 22nd, 2008 5:53 pm ET

All you Nader Haters claiming Nader ruined Gores Election are either stoopid or high. Nader backers weren't going to vote for Gore or Bush. If you think he is going to supposedly spoil your false messiahs chance of winning the election then you are just plain stoopid.

Rick   February 22nd, 2008 5:52 pm ET

A vote for Nader is like not voting - which is equal to handing a vote to the other party - the Republican party. He cannot win and can only take away votes from the Democratic nominee. This is not rocket science. The US is not Europe - there are only 2 parties capable of winning. You either vote for one or the other - if you vote for a third you literally WASTE YOUR VOTE.

Nader No!   February 22nd, 2008 5:52 pm ET

I knew this was going to happen! Just say no!

rachel   February 22nd, 2008 5:52 pm ET

come on post my comment cnn

Yeah nader! I now have someone to vote for if Clinton doesn't get the nod.

Tom Jackson   February 22nd, 2008 5:52 pm ET

Run Nader Run. Take all the votes you can away from nObama!

Bush Part 2 for 2009!

Dem O'Crat   February 22nd, 2008 5:51 pm ET

Ralph Nader, are you being paid off by neo-cons to bleed votes away or are you just that pompous to believe that a person who lost DECISIVELY both times you ran for the office has a chance at all???

GoS   February 22nd, 2008 5:51 pm ET

What I love is the crypto-fascism of some of these comments.

1. Al Gore could not win his home state in 2000.
2. Bill Clinton could not deliver Arkansas to Al Gore in 2000.
3. The Republican Party led by Jeb Bush and Catherine Harris illegally purged tens of thousands of mostly black voters from the rolls.
4. The Supreme Court stopped a recount that very well may have delivered victory to Al Gore.
5. Al Gore presided over the silencing of the congressional black caucus as it called for an investigation into the outright voter fraud in Florida.

So, stop blaming Ralph Nader for a loss that the Democrats did very little to stop. Also, Nader was a non-factor in 2004 and the Democrats still lost. Whose fault was that? The same pathetic party that tries to force progressives into voting for candidates that they disagree with rather than candidates that speak to them.

The ONLY, and I repeat ONLY people who stole votes in 2000 form Al Gore were the Republican Party and the Supreme Court.

Nader's voice and message are a direct challenge to the false progressivism of Obama and Clinton. He never has and never will take corporate contributions (something that the Democrats who have a chance of winning can hardly say). It's sad and ironic beyond description that so many here would use crypto-fascist vote suppression instead of fighting to get their parties to appeal to Nader's base. It's not Nader's fault that he appeals to progressive minded people, it's the Democratic Party that ignores them!

Marge Mathis   February 22nd, 2008 5:51 pm ET

Please, Mr. Nader, STAY OUT of this year's presidential race.

You just confuse the issue

Your being in the race causes a great deal of harm, and doesn't benefit anybody.

Bart   February 22nd, 2008 5:49 pm ET

NADER is an idiot who gave us 8 years of BUSH. He is entering the race to sabatoge it again to divide up the anti-McCain vote. Pro-McCain groups and the military-industrial complex will be bankrolling Nader's campaign bigtime. Why Floridians voted for Nader instead of Gore in 2000 is beyond me.

Don   February 22nd, 2008 5:49 pm ET

So!

Nader is history - if he had any power to improve the polical environment he has certainly had many prior opportunites to do so! What success has he had?

Virginia   February 22nd, 2008 5:49 pm ET

We need change but not the change Obama is preaching to us. I say, do it Nader! It's your right. It's your money.

Elena   February 22nd, 2008 5:49 pm ET

We don't need your arrogance. If you feel the need to run for president then start earlier and campaign and work for it like you might be serious rather than just a spoiler. Quit insulting this country with your game playing.

pd   February 22nd, 2008 5:49 pm ET

I'm preparing my donation check for Nader, if Hillary gets out! Obamites you've brought this on yourself with the ageism, sexism and false accusations of racism that have filled these blogs. Sorry, we have not bought into the rhetoric without substance. Hillary is by far a much more quality person for the Dem party who says we will be united no matter what, while Obama made statements that her supporters will still support him if he gets the nod, but his would not support her. This is one Hillary supporter who will not, no matter what!!Disenfranchised soon-to-be-former-Democrat in Florida.

Obama 16   February 22nd, 2008 5:49 pm ET

This fake is the biggest joke in a century!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only empty words.

Qert   February 22nd, 2008 5:48 pm ET

Someone please Baker Act Nader to force back on his meds and back to reality.

Dave Johnson   February 22nd, 2008 5:47 pm ET

What a self important ego maniac. He knows he no chance, he just wants the free publicity and he doesn't care what the consequences are.

Go away and die Ralph!

Al   February 22nd, 2008 5:47 pm ET

Go away Nader. You had your 15minutes of fame and it cost the Democratic party last time around. Go away!

James Morrison, Alexandria VA   February 22nd, 2008 5:47 pm ET

Absolutely beautiful!!!!!!!!! I am already donating to this guy's campaign. Where do I sign up? Nader will (again) significantly impact the race in key states.

Mike Kaplan   February 22nd, 2008 5:47 pm ET

Nader makes me Ralph.

OK, I stole that line. But seriously, Nader should go the heck away, although I don't think it matters this year- very few people will be stupid enough to waste a vote on him at this point. Nader voters who think they are "making a statement" about the two party system need to wake up- no one cares about your stupid statement.

Say what you will about John McCain and Barak Obama (or Hillary), but one thing is for sure: they are very, very different. (Just like Al Gore and George Bush were very different). And one of them will be the next President. I can't imagine what kind of person could be neutral about choices that are so different. Oh wait, yes I can: stupid people.

But stupidest of all are those of you who lecture us about Ralph's right to run, and the meaning of Democracy. This is not a question about Ralph's right to run. It's a question of whether it is smart of him to run, and whether it is smart of any of you to vote for him. Don't lecture me on your right to vote for him- that's not in dispute. Nor is my right to call you an idiot, making a "symbolic statement" that says nothing and no one cares about (except maybe the Republicans you may be helping).

France   February 22nd, 2008 5:47 pm ET

My vote goes to Ralph!

Jake   February 22nd, 2008 5:46 pm ET

To all those that are bashing Nader (which is pretty much everyone):
He believed he could change the nation. He honestly believed in it and wanted it. This man obviously cares about America.

Yes the people that voted for him took away the votes from the Democratic party but those people believed in him. You bashing him is bashing someone's belief. Think about that.

Robert Hogan   February 22nd, 2008 5:46 pm ET

Maybe we can calm down. While he got over 2% in 2000 he went down to .3% in 2004. He would have no influence on the outcome of the race. He would, however, raise "progressive" issues, and that might be good.

Obama 16   February 22nd, 2008 5:45 pm ET

Obama '16!

Current Nonsense Network (CNN)

Ruby   February 22nd, 2008 5:45 pm ET

Nadar is so irrelevant right now, this isn't even a story. I hope he does run. In fact i hope Paul runs too.
Obama will still win by a landslide.

Anonymous   February 22nd, 2008 5:45 pm ET

It is amazing to me how someone would enter a presidential race solely to act as spoiler. I think Mr. Nader's energy could be put to better use that trying to derail the Democrats/embolden the Republicans. It makes me wonder if the Republicans are ones that put him up to this every election season.

PJ   February 22nd, 2008 5:44 pm ET

Why has no one mentioned that Hillary Clinton last night used the same comment about the candidates being okay, but it was the citizens of the US that were at risk– that John Edwards used at a couple debates? It seems strange, since she was so critical of Barack Obama using someone else's words.

RandomBostonian   February 22nd, 2008 5:44 pm ET

I have trouble believing that some of you Dems actually think that Nader is a spoiler. Do you know who votes for Nader? Nader supporters. Not Democrats. Democrats vote for Democratic candidates (generally speaking). The reason why Gore lost was because he had no charisma, and sounded exactly like W. Kerry lost because he had no credibility outside of the blue states, the media portrayed him as a flip flopper and he was going against an incumbent "war" time president. Stop blaming third party candidates for your losses and admit that your party nominated people who couldn't win against, of all people, the worst president the US has had.
But rest easy, you have President Obama running for you guys.

Bill Bishop   February 22nd, 2008 5:43 pm ET

I used to respect Ralph Nader. Now I think he is an ego-centric jerk. If the Republicans get in again because of Nader, it would be a tragedy.

Bradley   February 22nd, 2008 5:43 pm ET

Seriously, is anyone stupid enough to vote for this moron again?

Jack, Lost Wages, NV   February 22nd, 2008 5:43 pm ET

Wake up robots!
Neither Hillary or Obama are going to be able to do anything for this economy. Either of these two fools get elected and we are going to have a Country loaded with a bunch of lazy freeloaders who want the rich to bail them out. I don't want any more of my hard earned money going into any of there plans. If you pukes can't afford it, don't buy it. We the people do not owe you anything. You owe it to yourselves and the people to earn what you receive. The Government should not be handing out freebies to anyone.

I do not want the Government making my choices for me!
If you cowards can't stand up for yourselves and make your own decisions, and think you have to rely on the Government to bail you out of your own problems, then vote for either of these two social communists.

CNN won't Post this because this has simple harsh truths about these two candidates and those that support them and their ideals.

Common Sense   February 22nd, 2008 5:43 pm ET

The guy is actually older than McCain for goodness sake! If it didn't work the first 17,000 times you ran, what could have possibly hit him over the head to make you think he could actually win?

Steven   February 22nd, 2008 5:42 pm ET

We have a Democracy, so why should Nader (or anybody else for that matter) not run if he wants. The Left had no objections to Ross Perot ruining George H.W. Bush's re-election in 1992. In any case, how do the Naderphobes account for the "W" win in 2004: no hanging chads that election!

Michael   February 22nd, 2008 5:41 pm ET

Stay out of the way! Nader is a distraction from real problems that face this country.

Brian   February 22nd, 2008 5:41 pm ET

what a selfish moron and glutton for punishment; he hasn't got a snow ball's chance in hell - what is he, the republicans secret way of being a thorn in the side of the democrats! go away, stay away, and get a clue!

Jack   February 22nd, 2008 5:41 pm ET

I like having another party join the race. It gets boring having the same 2 dinosaur parties still ruling who got us nowhere close to where we should be…

In any case, definitely Nader over Hillary. I am sick of hearing her whining about Obama and Bush…That's just dirty politics, and shows her true character.

She doesn't come close to her husband.

As for McCain, please come up with a real environmental and renewable business plan. Oil is only going to suck our pockets dry, and "Clean Coal" won't cut it for the years to come…

Fatima, Washington, DC   February 22nd, 2008 5:40 pm ET

Sweet lord up in heaven. How is this man even allowed to legally reside in the U.S. after the 2000 elections?

Take a long vacation somewhere, Ralph. Your services as a spoiler candidate are NOT wanted.

Serge in Miami,FL   February 22nd, 2008 5:40 pm ET

NADER is the anti-christ… the super spoiler… the Darth Nader of the Democratic party….

guy baldovi   February 22nd, 2008 5:40 pm ET

ah the joy of real democracy ! You can run only if you are part of the same corrupt system. Run Ralph, run. The election is a joke in this country. If he has enough signature he should run, we must break once and for all the election monoply held by the democrats and republican. Holding my nose, might even be voting for Barack

Obama 16!

GLMoore   February 22nd, 2008 5:39 pm ET

Not again! Don't do this to us. We don't deserve 4 more years of Republicans.

Domenick A   February 22nd, 2008 5:39 pm ET

Every time someone vomits up the line about Ralph having a big ego (or any candidate for that matter), I want to scream. WELL, DUH! Anybody who runs for president has a big ego. Enough already.

And Ralph does not deserve the blame he gets for Gore's defeat and the subsequent 8 years of hell. The Republicans who voted for Bush get the blame for making a disastrous choice. Gore gets the blame for not being a stronger candidate. The Democrats get the blame for doing a poor job supporting their candidate. And America as a whole gets the blame for having a stupid, out-dated election process that can result in the most popular candidate losing.

If Ralph runs - don't scream and cry. Shut up and work harder for your candidate. Don't be so lazy.

Dave   February 22nd, 2008 5:38 pm ET

What, Obama and Hillary aren't offering enough nanny state expansion for you Ralph? Go crawl back into your 20th century socialist hole and stay there, please.

Eric   February 22nd, 2008 5:38 pm ET

Yeah Ralph - go man go! I'm sure you'll win this time - perhaps you'll get like 0.078% of the vote. I'll put this in the "it's hard to be somebody today" file. Get a life dude!

Carol   February 22nd, 2008 5:38 pm ET

Thank you, We need a chose and it would seam that the illegals are voting in violation of the law (they violate all the other laws) so we need a chose. It looks like it you don't run we won't have. McCain, Obama, and Clenton are basicly the same, out of touch and oblivious to the needs of the American People.

Nate   February 22nd, 2008 5:38 pm ET

See, the corprations sit in their corprate offices and act all corpration-ie, see??? And that's bad. Please, can I just vote for my grandfather??? At least there are some morals and wisdom. Isn't that what we want?

First   February 22nd, 2008 5:37 pm ET

Democrats are fearful of Ralph, because he represents who they say they are, who they are supposed to be, but who they have not been for 35 years.

Namely: an advocate for fair elections, paper trails, transparency in government, government regulation on business, impeaching Bush Cheney, promoting peace, universal healthcare, fair wages, canceling WTO/NAFTA and CAFTA, and respecting our Constitution.

Democrats know fully well that they cannot survive comparison or debate with Ralph. Placing the genuine article next to the fake reveals it for what it is. Democrats would have their clock cleaned.

Remember the presidental debates between Bush vs. Gore and Bush vs. Kerry? 56-8% of the public wanted Ralph included. He was excluded because both corporate parties knew he would have mopped up the floor with them. Hence the debate became merely a battle of the weaklings. America got Bush not once but twice because neither Gore nor Kerry had the courage to fight back.

No one holds a candle to Ralph. There is simply not one living American who has a better record of public service to our nation than Ralph. Anyone who examines his 40+ year record of consumer advocacy knows that he is the champ.

Let's hope he runs, wins, and corrects our nation from 40 years of negligence and mismanagement.

Cobalt   February 22nd, 2008 5:37 pm ET

Actually I appreciate Nader and would like to see him run. I was thinking about voting for a Democrat (Obama? Clinton? either would be OK), but with Ralph in the race, I feel like I can really give him my vote to influence the election. Go, Ralph! Yea!

Yeah !!! Get in there Ralph ! You are by far better than any of the three left in this thing, so let's Independents get behind Ralph or Lou.

VOTE NOW   February 22nd, 2008 5:37 pm ET

Nader/ Perot 2008.

Christian, Tampa FL   February 22nd, 2008 5:36 pm ET

Stay away Nader! You can't possibly do anything but hurt things.

Miraenda   February 22nd, 2008 5:36 pm ET

If Nader wants to run, that's his right. Some of these comments make me wonder what country you guys believe you live in. I thought people were free to do stupid things, including running in elections they won't win.

Also, if you claim to be Democrat but won't vote for the Democratic candidate who is nominated and instead vote for Nader or McCain out of spite because your preferred candidate didn't get chosen, then don't come crying to the rest of us if the Republicans do win. I don't want to hear how you lost your job, got sent to war, or lost a loved one or friend in Iraq. I don't want to hear from you how you aren't happy with our economy or how you lost your house cause you couldn't pay the mortgage. I don't want to hear how your gas costs too much to drive.

Next, Reagan had barely any more experience than Obama when he was elected, yet the Republicans talk about his presidency like he was Moses nowadays. His presidency wasn't that great as far as I'm concerned economically as it resulted in the deficit George Bush Sr. inherited and that Bill Clinton got rid of. Remember how the Republicans are so great with the economy when you all try to explain how the only President in recent times who got the economy strong and our deficit to a surplus was a Democrat.

I don't want more Republicans in there until one of them can manage to care about our economy for real, not pretend to care and drive it into the abyss. If you vote for Nader, good for you. If you let the Republicans back in to keep trashing our nation's prosperity, blame yourself when we have a depression develop out of the recession and don't cry on my shoulder.

Nancy Mower   February 22nd, 2008 5:36 pm ET

That's the scariest thing I've heard in a long time. Just when it looked like the Democrats might actually have a chance to win this election, along comes Nader again! Please, please, please, Ralph. Don't do it. You had your chance to skew the Democrats' chances. Of course, some people will vote for you. But unless you're a secret Republican, and really do want 8 more years of Republicans, please, please give the country a chance to heal.

Rick   February 22nd, 2008 5:36 pm ET

I understand that Nader thinks he does not affect the Democrats, but we can not afford another Republican administration. Look at what 8 years of Bush has done.

I pray that Nader does not get a single vote or dollar of support. I know it is unlikely, but I can only hope. I know that I won't be voting for someone else when the Democrats need my vote.

Jacqueline Kahn   February 22nd, 2008 5:35 pm ET

Nader!!!!

Are you nuts???? You'll lose the election for the Democrats again.
Find something useful to do with your time…

Tom   February 22nd, 2008 5:35 pm ET

How close were the last elections that Ralph ran in?!? As a result of Nader's previous runs we have MORE coporate control, MORE coroporate power, MORE corporate greed… not less. Thanks for all the help Ralph, you arrogant self-important putz. I guess you want the religious right to have a chance to put another monkey in the presidency.

As a previous comment said, a vote for Nader is a vote for the right wing, NOT for the causes Ralph "claims" to stand for.

Farrell, Houston, Tx   February 22nd, 2008 5:35 pm ET

I hope Nader gets in the race, John McCain is a lose screw. McCain at 71 years old shouldn't be wishing for anyones death. McCain needs to be on his knees thanking God everyday for his 71 years. I wouldn't expect that kind of comment from an old man regardless how bad another old man is. And I guess if Castro doesn't die soon enough for McCain, he'll bomb Cuba.

Karen   February 22nd, 2008 5:35 pm ET

Why doesn't he run for a congressional or local office and demonstrate his leadership skills to the voters, instead of just inserting himself into the high stakes elections at the end? His modus operandi is just to act as a spoiler. He has lost the respect he earned from previous work. It is much easier to throw a wench, than to expertly wield a wench! KC

Timo Garcia   February 22nd, 2008 5:34 pm ET

someone please just blow his head off

Carol   February 22nd, 2008 5:34 pm ET

An Obama supporter just criticized Nader because Nader got Republicans to vote for him. Oh, the irony.

No offense…. but Nader looks just as legitimate as any of the candidates currently running.

Uhlman   February 22nd, 2008 5:32 pm ET

We must remember that the people voted for Ralph Nader. Ralph Nader himself has never stolen an election. I think his money would be best spent to go for a vice-presidential spot for Obama or Hillary. He has, I think, a great approach at going after cooperations. I think him or John Edwards would be great at going after businesses that are robbing Americans.

Mohammad, LA CA   February 22nd, 2008 5:32 pm ET

Don't even think about it you sick, sick man.

I seriously hope he has a heart attack that cripples him before he can ruin the race for us!

Tina L.   February 22nd, 2008 5:32 pm ET

Finally, an intelligent alternative to Ron Paul. Obama, Clinton, McCain all sing the same song. Nothing new there. Same old, same old. All are sold out to either big war, big corporations or big government. None of these three are going to change a dang thing for the American people, except the chosen few. We need Ralph. Thank you for your courage.

Independent in DC   February 22nd, 2008 5:32 pm ET

No offense, but most of you haven't a clue. As a supporter of Obama this election cycle I think Nader has every right to run for President and it should be welcomed. If we are to achieve true change within our govt. and political system then this stranglehold that the Democrats and Republicans have on our "democracy" must be removed. That means legitimate third and fourth parties etc in our politics. Dissenting voices are needed if more focus is to be put on the real issues that all of us supposedly care about. It really is quite ridiculous that we only have two choices every election (sit back and objectively think about how ludicrous that really is). It is not Nader's fault if Obama or McCain or whomever cannot convince independent voters like myself (or Democrats and Republicans for that matter) to continue to support them. I'm votin for Obama in November but I welcome Nader with open arms should he decide to run and you should too.

Franky   February 22nd, 2008 5:31 pm ET

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ralhp Nader, LOL!!!!!!!!!!

You know, maybe he should, maybe he should……LOL!!!!!

Don Filiault   February 22nd, 2008 5:31 pm ET

Not even Karl Rove has been more responsible for the boob that is now in the White House than Ralph Nader has been. He will already go down in history as one of the greatest destroyers of our once great country. Why does he need an encore?

mei   February 22nd, 2008 5:31 pm ET

For those who are supporting Nader and his policies, think about this: your vote for him may be a way to "make you voice heard", but really, it pushes the country further away from the very ideals that Nader calls for. A Democratic president needs to be in office in order for the country to even get close to the type of reforms that Nader advocates.
Do not let the Republicans have the satisfaction of winning the Presidency.

steph   February 22nd, 2008 5:31 pm ET

apparantly all you democrats commenting on here have yet to realize that all you have to fear is yourselves

jason   February 22nd, 2008 5:29 pm ET

Thank you Nader for running again, someone I can trully say I want to vote for instead of picking the better out of bad. Its just too bad that you have to have lots of money and lots of stepping on people to be in a position where people will even recognize you running. You have my vote!!!

Tim   February 22nd, 2008 5:26 pm ET

It is funny how democrats panic at the possibility of Nader runing, the way i see it Nader got most of its votes in 2000 from people who otherwise will not vote. Have any of you so called Dems listen to his platform, to me it seemed like a more democratic platform than that of Gore. Nader is not to blame, the real blame should fall in a system that only gives you two options, people should be able to vote for whom best represents their interest. Tell me if is not true that oftentimes people vote for the lesser of two evils. One last thing i wonder how many people of the people who vote, vote because they think that the candidate is the best option based on policies, rather than because they consider themselves Rep or Dem. It is sad when people are close minded and don't take the time to learn what the person who is going to represent them stand for.

Tom   February 22nd, 2008 5:26 pm ET

Not this year.

Beverly P. St.John   February 22nd, 2008 5:25 pm ET

I have listened to most of the debates and I don't think that I have had anyone address the high cost of prescription drugs. Research has shown that the actual cost of these drugs is a fraction of what we are being charged. That is probably why a new drug store is going up on every corner in town!

Would you ask Anderson Cooper or Wolf Blitzer to address this concern?

Thank you.

farid shakur   February 22nd, 2008 5:25 pm ET

what about a positive comment towards Mr Obama on how he can win; all people are talking about is how the media is talking about what Hillary needs to do to catch up we're sick of the media's bias wishes!!!!!!!!!!1

JPC   February 22nd, 2008 4:37 pm ET

Rather than blaming Nader (or any other third party candidate) for "ruining" an election by providing an independent voice, we should point the finger at our current first-past-the-post electoral system.

If we used instant runoff voting, or range voting, or any of a host of other well-known and well-documented systems that exist, there would be no "spoiler" effect.

Teddy Kubrick   February 22nd, 2008 4:36 pm ET

A vote for Nader is a vote for McCain.

Anna   February 22nd, 2008 4:36 pm ET

You people denouncing Ralph Nader for running as an independent, claiming he will "steal votes" away from the two parties, are complete idiots who are going to sell us into aristocracy.

This is NOT two-party system, and folks like Nader SHOULD be able to run alongside a Republicon or a Democrap.

Idiots, idiots, idiots, voting away our rights to these two houses of nobility every four years.

YOU GAVE US 8 TERRIBLE YEARS OF REPUBLICAN DOMINATION OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. WE HAVE SUFFERED EVER SINCE. PLEASE DON'T RUN AND GIVE US 4 MORE YEARS OF THE SAME.

Justin Wilcox   February 22nd, 2008 4:26 pm ET

Thank you Ralph Nader for eight of the worst years of my life. Yes, I blame you for George W. being in the white house. Now go dig yourself a hole and lie in it.

Furthermore, Ralph naysayers, where would your pampered posteriors be if not for this champion of the powerless (ie, YOU)?

Driving a corvair and eating rotting food.

Brian   February 22nd, 2008 4:23 pm ET

Nader, I voted for you in 2000 because I didn't know how bad Bush would be. But I'm not taking that risk again.

If you had what it took to be president, you would have the support that Obama has. Americans are starving for change and it took the right person to run with it.

Unfortunately you, who has run for election what, a dozen times, are not the change agent we're looking for. You and the rest of the same-old politicians are the ones we're getting away from with Obama. Fortunately no one who would vote for Obama will vote for you instead, because Obama is a better candidate and offers more change than you could ever fathom.

cee   February 22nd, 2008 4:23 pm ET

Nader, go crawl back under your rock!!

Bonnie Selmer   February 22nd, 2008 4:22 pm ET

Mr. Nadar,
For the first time in a long time we just might have a chance to get out of the mess we are in in this country. Your jumping into the presidential race will not hurt the candidates but it will certainly be ineffective for you. I think people are going to stay with the parties to select someone who might actually do something. Rather than run for president, why don't you run for senate or congress where you might actually accomplish something. Even better, work with one of the candidates and mayhaps wind up with a cabinet or an effective advisor post where you could also be effective with your agenda.

Joan W   February 22nd, 2008 4:22 pm ET

More and more, Nader is looking like a crazy old man. Give us a break!

This is a man that apparently, if he cannot have it exactly his way, he will spoil it for the rest of us. Does he really want 4 more years of Republican rule?

Somebody get out the hook!

Adriana Birmingham, AL   February 22nd, 2008 4:22 pm ET

Nader is going to take advantage of the zealots in both the Clinton and the the Obama camps. If Obama wins the nomination, the Clinton fanatics say they will vote for Nader, If Clilnton wins, Obama supporters will vote for Nader. It is not Nader that will destroy the country it is the people voting for him. Get it together people, the enemy is 100 years in Iraq, bomb bomb bomb Iran MCain. Do you think we can take another 8 years of the same bad policies.? Please don't cut off you nose just to spite your face.

Pathetic

Ev   February 22nd, 2008 4:22 pm ET

What, Democrats aren't to blame for Iraq? Remember the standing ovation they gave Bush and blank check for the occupation despite the UN's findings to the contrary? And Clinton's been for it the whole time.

monica   February 22nd, 2008 4:21 pm ET

Get an education, people. Ralph did NOT get Bush elected - if you follow that logic, all the other third party candidates were responsible.

If you're not going to get the real facts by watching documentaries like Unreasonable Man, then change topics.

Attention Obama fans: McCain WILL be elected against this inexperienced and overly ambitious candidate. The only experienced Republican who CAN'T win against Obama is BUSH.

Get a freaking clue, youngsters. They'll re-instate the draft because you picked someone intensely inexperienced at the worst possible time.

Concerned american   February 22nd, 2008 4:21 pm ET

He took the votes that would have put Gore in the White House. It was only his ego that kept him in, and makes him continue to run again, The blood of every soldier and every civilian who has died in Iraq is on him.

James   February 22nd, 2008 4:21 pm ET

if he runs again, then Bloomberg needs to as well to spoil republican votes. Nader is the only person on earth who's Ego is worse then Hillary's.

a Run will not be about the American People, but about his desire to stay relevant.

Obama/Nader 08!!!!!!

Spirit of America   February 22nd, 2008 4:21 pm ET

Nader is an idiot and egomaniac. The only one with a real shot at the White House as an independent is billionaire Bloomberg who is willing and able to blow a billion of his own dollars to win the election.
I say he announces after the March 4th primary.

HD RIder   February 22nd, 2008 4:20 pm ET

What a deluded, self-important tool this guy Nader is. The people who vote for him are no better, especially given the importance of this upcoming election. Perhaps the Republicans are funding him. Darth Nader, just go away.

Brother   February 22nd, 2008 4:20 pm ET

For all you people who think they will vote for Nader if Obama wins instead of Hillary, or vice versa, you are completely brain dead. Yea, let's not vote for a better candidate out of spite, and instead let the Republicans win! Yay!! What a good idea….

Bob   February 22nd, 2008 4:20 pm ET

Ralph Nader has already cost this country far too much in missed opportunities. He took enough votes from Gore to cost him the election, leading to Bush's presidency. I am hoping he will announce that he has grown up and understands the politics of the United States: Like it or not, two political parties. Like it or not, a corporate nation…corporate structure will NEVER hand over political power to someone like Ralph. Even if he was president, it would be four years of nothing happening. Ralph needs to wake up, understand history, and realize the difference between what he can do, and what he can't. Please, Ralph, if you want to be president, try your local Kiwanis.

wordslinger, chicago   February 22nd, 2008 4:19 pm ET

ProfMike   February 22nd, 2008 4:19 pm ET

It's interesting how many people in the United State have no clue about democracy. Or about the true function of 3rd parties today. Ralph Nader knows he can't win. Why? Because the Democrats and Republicans have rigged the system telling people that third parties are a wast e of their vote. What a lie! Third parties are the groups telling the Republicans and Democrats to wake up. Over 40% of the eligible voters did not vote in 2000 and 20045 because the refused to vote for the lesser of two "Weevils" (That's from an old, old joke about Admiral Nelson. Someone used it in a movie with only moderate attribution.) Most of the people who voted for Nader on 2000 would not have voted for anyone. The Democrats love to whine about losing the elction because of Nader. Bull! Gore lost because he could not respond to Nader's campaign goals. It's interesting how Gore became "Green" when he found out he would not become President. If you can't counter Nader's arguments in a campaign, you don't deserve to win. So let the guy run and challenge both parties. Let's see if either major candidate has the guts to take a stand on the issues Nader brings to the debate. OOPS! I forgot. The Democrats and Republicans have rigged that too! So all of you complainers, think real hard about what it means to believe in democracy. Besides, the money Nader spends on the economy might help with the recession (; P.S. I'm not voting for the guy …. yet!

dissatisfied in Portland   February 22nd, 2008 4:19 pm ET

If Obama is the nominee I will vote for Nader and I'm sure many others will too. Thanks Ralph for giving us another choice as opposed to not voting at all. At least voting for Nader gives Americans the opportunity to cast a "protest vote" against someone as unqualified as Obama to lead this country. And if Obama is the best that the democrats have to offer then we deserve to lose.

Sam, Dallas TX   February 22nd, 2008 4:19 pm ET

O.K. Democrats we must unite behind whomever our Nominee is. Both are Great Candidates!!! We will definately need a Obama/Clinton or Clinton Obama ticket to ensure victory now!!! Don't take America through 4 more years of McCain/Bush tactics and beliefs. Don't forget the 8 years of Bush so quickly!!!! Nader is a Joke and has no chance of winning!! Now is the time to come together for the Democratic Party! This is not about race or gender we all suffered from the Bush Administration!!!

Kevin,FL   February 22nd, 2008 4:19 pm ET

PLEASE RALPH GO AWAY! GOOO!!

Too nasty for my taste   February 22nd, 2008 4:19 pm ET

Obama supporters - you are just to nasty. I wouldn't count to heavily on the fact that Hillary supporters will automatically vote for Obama if she does not get the nomination - so Nader is the least of your worries as I see it.

Mandelay   February 22nd, 2008 4:18 pm ET

Democrats know by now what's wrong with Nader but what's up with the people who vote for him? Are they, and Nader, working with the Republican Party. And how about "Meet the Press"? Is Nader really that newsworthy that he continues to merit a spot on what was once a prestigious program? Are these guys kidding?

wwjd2007   February 22nd, 2008 4:17 pm ET

Maybe if the Dems would employ some of his policies he wouldn't have to run on his own. This is not a two party only country, it is the land of the free. Nothing wrong with him running. 3 or possibly 4 strong parties in this country would actually improve things greatly for our future. Too much power today in DEM/REP parties. Time to shake it up. Add Bloomberg and an INDE and we'll be all set!

Ben   February 22nd, 2008 4:17 pm ET

John   February 22nd, 2008 4:15 pm ET

Yes run Ralph run! I'd love nothing more than to see you provide the margin of victory to the Republicans once again. I doubt that you can pull it off this time, but it's worth a try. Please, please run. We Republicans need you now more than ever! NADER 2008!

Hank Castle   February 22nd, 2008 4:15 pm ET

cheersdk   February 22nd, 2008 4:14 pm ET

Does not make sense.

In our American system, we have a fairly well organized method of arriving at our political equivalent of the Superbowl, World Series… the Presidential Election.

We don't allow a last place team or a minor league team to show up in the finals to play that season's best teams. They have earned those appearances by finishing high in their divisions (party primaries and caucuses) and winning through the playoffs (final debates, etc.).

Why do we allow it in the most important contest in our country. A contest to lead our country.

The primary and caucus season is held to filter out the best most vote-on remaining candidates with the most support. Why is it fair to allow someone to come at the end of the process just to be a spoiler???

If Nader is serious, he should test his mettle and popularity through the various primaries and caucuses, not, just show up at the biggest contest in the end. This does not represent democracy at all.

Kboughton   February 22nd, 2008 4:14 pm ET

This is Great News!

More voices and More choices are ALWAYS better for Democracy. Healthy and open democracies are reliant on citizen's freedom to chose and meaningful diferences between candidates.

I chose and will definitely vote for Ralph and contribute to his campaign. He is the gold standard and the clarion call of wisdom and virtue in a field crowded by villians, cowards, weaklings, facilitators, and corporate-leased candidates.

There is simply no living American with more tenacity and a better record of public service to our nation.

Thank you Ralph for:
The Clean Water Act,
The Clean Air Act,
FOIA (freedom of Information Act)
Seatbelts, air bags, safer/better cars saving 900,000+ American lives
Opposition to corporate greed
Opposition to NAFTA/CAFTA and the WTO

Fighting tirelessly for the health, justice, and well being of our nation even when the very people who have benefitted from your work have turned their backs to you in ignorance.

Anyone who knows Ralph's character and 40+ year record of achievement also knows that no other candidate holds a candle to America's champ. If anyone can restore our nation to decency, honesty, transparency, and fairness, and justice it is Ralph.

Brent   February 22nd, 2008 4:13 pm ET

thousands dead because of Nader spoiling 00 and 04. Come on people, don't waste your vote–we in the centrist and leftist part of America have to pull together for once to defeat the Republican Dark Age agenda. It is time for conservatism to go away and we can't keep bickering amongst ourselves and let it happen again.

marc from indiana   February 22nd, 2008 4:13 pm ET

It seems to me that he is just got to run. If not, the democrats will have no one else to blame their failures on.

Vincent   February 22nd, 2008 4:12 pm ET

Ralph is a nice guy and he's done a lot for the people and his heart is in the right place… but if he MESSES this up again!….

I hope he has the good sense to sit this one out this time… the stakes are too high and he should know by now he has no realistic chance to win. If he truely wants to win he needs to do more then just pop up every 4 years to hand the Republicans the election. He needs to build a third party…

Nick, NY   February 22nd, 2008 4:12 pm ET

The Republicans and Democrats are blending into the same old party with the same old ideas. I congratulate Nader for standing up to the two-party system and invite him to run every four years until his death. I'll vote for him over the Republicrats every single time.

Alex   February 22nd, 2008 4:12 pm ET

Ralph Nader never "took away Democratic votes." He earned the votes of people who believe in what he stands for…

If only our country had a system that allowed for politicians who didn't hold the moderate line just to get elected. I may not believe in what Ralph Nader, Ross Perot or other third-party candidates want, but I do believe in a true democracy, where the votes of a disenfranchised minority matter. I'm leaving for Europe, where their democracy is at least somewhat more representative than our one-sided electoral circus.

Sam   February 22nd, 2008 4:12 pm ET

Go away Ralph!! YOU'RE GOING TO RUIN THE ELECTION JUST LIKE YOU'VE DONE IN THE PAST!

Bushfor4more   February 22nd, 2008 4:11 pm ET

Typical liberal idea that the only reason bush won was cuz nader stole votes…how bout the fact that democrats are so pathetic that they cant actually win a race and then have to blame it on the third party…maybe if any of the democratic nominees were any good, democrats wouldnt have to go over to nader. Dont blame him for your losses…

Ya know, I used to respect this guy a bit. I understood why he ran in 2000, despite being furious that he was partly responsible for saddling us with the worst President in history. I also think that what he stands for is generally pretty good.

But then, he ran again in 2004 and I had a suspicion. If he runs again this year, then my suspicion will be confirmed. Ralph Nader's ego is HUGE.

Nader???? HAHA thats funny. I think I might actually vote for him. I am going to take my democratic vote, and thats right, vote for Ralph Nader. Nader is better than Obama and Clinton any day of the week!

Chris   February 22nd, 2008 4:11 pm ET

If Nadar runs…goodbye Dems…hello Repubs! If my memory serves me correctly Nader would attrack Independents who seem to be leaning Obama at this point in time. We can brace for at least four more years of Bush doctrine, and worse yet, eight more years. Yes, eight more years. I was one who never, never, never thought Bush could get elected twice. Surprise, surprise! And again, if my memory serves me correctly, people liked his personality, thought he was a fun guy. Brace yourselves…we haven't learned from history, we continually repeat it.

God Bless Nader!!! The White House will remain Republican!!!!

Dennis   February 22nd, 2008 4:11 pm ET

this guy couldn't shake and bake, let alone the election this year.

Fringe candidates are freakin' lame.

How about Nader, Ron Paul, and Ross Perot get together and form the No Chance in Heck Party.

James Steinman   February 22nd, 2008 4:11 pm ET

it's unfortunate that idiots like yourselves don't understand that democracy means it's NOT a two party sysem and that all Nader is doing is informing the even more idiot Democrats that if you adopt his policy you'll get the votes to beat the devilishly smart Republicans. it's called Democracy morons, gosh what idiots we have in this country!!!!!!!!!!!!!

joeb   February 22nd, 2008 4:11 pm ET

RALPH, YOU ARE A WASHED-UP HAS-BEEN. GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Joe   February 22nd, 2008 4:10 pm ET

If a person votes Republican, I can understand. Maybe they are highly religious. Maybe they just make a lot of money. Either way, I can understand why they would want to vote Republican.

If a person votes Democrat, I can also understand. Maybe they are for a government-run health insurance. Or, perhaps they feel strongly for welfare programs. Either way, I understand.

What kind of moron would vote for Nader, though? What kind of demographic would think throwing their vote away was a good idea? Psychotics? Morons? Scientologists? I really don't know what his base is.

And why would anyone be stupid enough to support Clinton/Obama, and refuse to vote for the other one? Their politics are indistinguishable when you get down to it.

Steve   February 22nd, 2008 4:10 pm ET

Nader has become a caricature of himself. Everyone has his/her own demons, and Nader's is Ego.

Jeff   February 22nd, 2008 4:10 pm ET

"Believe it or not, there are idiots who will vote for him."

It's not idiocy, Nadine. It's called democracy.

Mark   February 22nd, 2008 4:10 pm ET

RALPH, must you take away democratic votes yet again? The 14 votes that you'll get could potentially sway this drastically important election. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, stay out of this one.
