Site named for Bush's presidential library

(CNN) - Following a years-long campaign that began before President Bush even took his first oath of office, Southern Methodist University – the alma mater of First Lady Laura Bush - has been chosen as the future home of George W. Bush’s presidential library and policy center.

“I look forward to the day when both the general public and scholars come and explore the important and challenging issues our Nation has faced during my presidency — from economic and homeland security to fighting terrorism and promoting freedom and democracy,” President Bush wrote in a Friday letter to the university’s president, Gerald Turner.

The university had been hammering out the final details of the agreement for more than year. The facility will be located at a site near downtown Dallas.

How about a library which contains displays and corrections (interactive videos) of his frequesnt grammar mistakes and misused words.

Who wants to ever visit the Bush Library? Oh yeah, that mysterious 30% who approve of the job he has done.

    Yay.

Will there be clowns? And cotton candy? How about funnel cake?

Cuz... the carnival that has been the 2nd Bush administration deserves nothing less.

Or maybe a museum of dead soldiers. Perhaps a photo gallery of Katrina corpses. That way people could get a good hard look at the "challenging issues"...

Space shouldn't be much of a problem.

All the paperwork, meeting notes, and information related to his Presidency has already been shredded by Chaney.

A broom closet at the university would do.

You mean as opposed to the secrecy and illegal infringements upon the Constitution that your tenure has promoted???

Because George W. Bush is definitely the person scholars look to for insight and wisdom...

Let's call the library "The NuCULAR", and maybe request that everyone who enters has to pronounce the actual word (nuclear)correctly.

Sorry I will NEVER go to a president's library that is in a Religious locatioon, it sends the wrong message to the world.

Are they going to highlight his destruction of the US Consittution? How about a torture and extraordinary rendidtion room? Pictures of Abu Gharab and Gitmo? A room dedicated to illegal wiretapping of American Citizens? or maybe one showing how he gave away our country to big businesses like the oil and 'health'care and telecoms? maybe one showing the innocent Iraqis his policies have killed beside the innocent Dafur babies his policies have let die? Hmm maybe I WOULD go to see that one and burn a candle for forgiveness for allowing this man to go unpunished

What a joke....He is a joke....a really sick joke! I hope they put his book My Pet Goat in there so people can see what he was "reading" during the 911 disaster. Other than that, it would probably be an very empty library

Wonder if there's a nuclular wing? And don't look for any details for about 100 years on why he did the stupid things he has done for the last 7 years. There is surely more than enough material to impeach the whole crew.
