Watch Ellen drop in on Clinton's fundraiser Tuesday.

WASHINGTON (CNN) - Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres made a surprise appearance by video uplink at a Hillary Clinton rally on Monday evening, energizing the young audience and tossing Clinton a few inside-the-beltway questions she might get on a Sunday morning talk show.

Clinton took several questions from DeGeneres, who led off by jokingly asking Clinton if she would consider banning glitter. Then the comedian put on a straight face and turned to the presidential horserace.

“As we all know,” Degeneres noted, “Obama has now won 11 states in a row. What needs to happen to change the momentum?”

Clinton was ready with an answer about her now well-known comeback plan, but she accidentally swapped out one state for another that must also be on her brain: “Well, we’re going to win Ohio and Michigan!”

After ten seconds of applause and smiles, she let the crowd know that her strategy hadn’t taken a suddenly bizarre turn.

“Wait a minute, Ohio and Texas,” she shouted. “We already won Michigan."

Degeneres also asked Clinton if she is “being given a harder time” because she is a woman (the question got a loud cheer from the mostly female audience at George Washington University).

“I think that it's my opportunity to make my case the best I can,” Clinton said with a smile, while offering a standard line that she is up to whatever challenges the White House may hold.

Clinton was introduced at the event, a “low dollar fundraiser," by Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell, who told the college students that “we won’t need to win in Pennsylvania” in April if Clinton pulls off victories in Ohio and Texas next week.

Rendell attempted to contradict the prevailing wisdom that Barack Obama has a lock on the youth vote. He told the crowd that “the young people of America don’t belong to any one candidate."

Dear WARD...we don't need a cult, we need a president. I will not succumb to a cult, you shouldn't either. This how politicians can manipulate the public. Stay objective and look at the facts. When you do that, Obama doesn't look all that good.

Jimmy   February 26th, 2008 11:38 am ET

Hillary will pull off the win in both Texas and Ohio. Why because Americans hate to be dictated to or manipulated by anyone. When they figure it out the surge will be resounding. CNN & MSNBC youguys are the Emporer and you no longer have clothes. We got it. The sadest thing here is that I found that the far left and the far right have somthing in common. Arigants in their posistion and the unwillingness to get past the hype of their posistion inorder to fing the TRUTH!!! Shame on you folks. for years I thought it was just the Rushbots, but you Obamabots are just as blind.

Peace man!!!

Michael   February 26th, 2008 11:36 am ET

Hillary it is time to finally accept the fact that your now doing more harm than good to the Democratic Party, think of them instead of yourself if you can. Your old man, Slick Willie had his fun in the White House, now its time for you both to pack up and head back home to Arkansas. You both can conduct tours of Wille's library. That's the best way to spend the rest of your lives, out of Washington and back to your old stomping grounds....cya...and all the best in your retirements.

WARD   February 26th, 2008 11:36 am ET

this is just Hillary tring everything to win I believe its a bit to late I mean Hillary sealed her fate 11 loses ago not to add ellen at times don't know what to say out of her mouth which in the end only hurts Hillary and makes obama look that much better!!!!!!! Go Obama and just for the record if supporting Obama is part of CULT!!!!!!!?? I am part of the CULT for CHANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!

TXNS for Hillary   February 26th, 2008 11:34 am ET

People are getting tired of hearing speeches about HOPE and CHANGE. Can you talk about something else Mr. Obama?? Your plans??? Oprah didn't help much in California did she?

Go Hillary!!!

NickNas   February 26th, 2008 11:33 am ET

I think Ellen is a funnny gal but a mover of political opinion??? Even SHE doesn't think that much of herself. This MIGHT get Hillary 3 or 4 votes.

Richard Rodriguez Rivera   February 26th, 2008 11:32 am ET

snakebaby, keep talking, ' the more you talk the more you will be convincing yourself of the Obama fact. Whe you say that the strategy may be showing something, Maybe a little, it means that your are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel but do not want to admit it to yourself. Like I said keep looking, you will at the end see it.

Travis   February 26th, 2008 11:31 am ET

"Ellen is no Oprah" ?
Who cares what Oprah thinks... What you should care about is what OBAMA thinks......
But no, you listen to what endorsements say

People ought to realize by now that it's time for change and that change is Barack Obama, the first African-American President that's able to love the people that hate him, talk about him, and run him down. HE'S GOT TO BE GOD'S MAN!!!!

OBAMA '08

AJ, IL   February 26th, 2008 11:28 am ET

Ellen who? Having Ellen as potential surrogate has pros and cons, sort of like Bill Clinton.

Danielson   February 26th, 2008 11:27 am ET

Let's compare today's endorsements:

Obama: Respected Senator Chris Dodd.

An old guard Democrat open to new ways of thinking...in fact, he was a candidate for President early on in this election.

Clinton: A daytime talk show host.

Don't get all mad...I truly DIG Ellen (and for you longtime viewers...she had a great conversation with Barack about six or seven weeks ago...that's where "Barack dancing" clip comes from)...I just question the TIMING of it all.

On her show so many weeks ago, Barack spoke eloquently with her about his positive stance on civil unions and equal rights for gays...Ellen admitted then she wasn't much into politics....but the point is...Barack was there long before it became politically necessary to push for an endorsement...and he didn't ask for one upon the occasion of their first meeting

We're at crunch time in this primary...and Hillary's getting endorsements that would have served her far better 2 months ago. Makes you wonder about how desperate this campaign really has become.

Nicole   February 26th, 2008 11:26 am ET

I think Ellen endorsing Sen. Clinton is not that important! Ellen has Oprah to thank for her success. Oprah is one woman who has provided avenues for women in the talk show world. Ellen simply doesn't float my boat or arouses my intellect, and her asking about Oprah is just another distastful tactic that Sen. Clinton campaign has been partaking in alot lately. I am very impress with Oprah, Sen. Obama, and his wife Michelle Obama. Because of their character, intelligence, and power, each of them has experience struggles while overcoming obstacles in their lives.

I am so tired of hearing about how Sen. Clinton is ready day one, or how Sen. Obama does not have experience. President Clinton did not have experience, but he won his presidency by giving Americans hope. We are now looking to Sen. Obama for that hope and ability to dream again. I believe the problem that Clinton supporters have with Obama supporters simply comes down to this. The Clintons cannot use the tactics they once used to reach American, so they tried to paint us as delusional.

Sen. Clinton, should get out gracefully, and allow our party to unite behind Sen. Barack Obama; so we can defeat Sen. McCain in November election and win the Whitehouse once again. National polls and the Republican Party have each declared Republicans have a much better chance of winning the Presidency against Sen. Clinton than running against Sen. Obama. If the republicans can see this then why can’t Sen. Clinton’s campaign not see this.

Our Country desires something new and innovative, for me and millions of other Americans that is SENATOR BARACK OBAMA as our NEXT PRESIDENT and his amazing wife, MICHELLE OBAMA for our NEW FIRST LADY!

USMC Veteran   February 26th, 2008 11:25 am ET

Why do Hillary supporters keep trying to bring in race, bias media etc? Hold on tight and good luck hanging by your threads. Your candidate has lost the majority of states. America is speaking and its not for Hillary. CNN can't make people vote so stop with the crying about it.

Richard Rodriguez Rivera   February 26th, 2008 11:25 am ET

Sara, that is exactly whet they are doing, thinking of tomorrow not like you thinking of yesteday, you have no clue of the big changes taking place in US. politics, for your timing expressions you are in past gear or in reverse, shift forward and drive to the future, wakeup, Barack Obama is the only choice to bring around change in Washington and the world. Hillary is a portrait of the perennial past, she has no sights towards the future. Move on, turn the page. Barack Obama, is the next chapter, ride on, ride on.

whatever   February 26th, 2008 11:25 am ET

Obama had the neve to go to the funeral of those students shot at NIU after campaigning in Idaho that he waould not take away the guns of people who wants them. This guy is about as different as identical twins. Look at history when people were mesmorized by someone at the expense of common sense. Look at 2000.

CO, MO.   February 26th, 2008 11:24 am ET

Many in this country have lost, they follow the media and the wave without thinking. Obama started the attacks on Hillary, he even went to the press to tell them he will start attack her and he did. am surprise that anytime Hillary talk about the diffrent between herself and Obama, you guys called it attack, but when Obama called her liar, do anything to win, even call her murderer (he said she contributed to the killing of former Pakistan PM) you guys called it take on. Whatever you guys do, remember bush got to power through the press, now you can see the country how is going.

Vote wisely, see you in 2012

aaron, minneapolis mn   February 26th, 2008 11:24 am ET

Already won Michigan??? Edwards and Obama wasn't even on the ballot. They followed the rules unlike cheating Hillary. And undecided scored over 20% against her. She's a trip that's for sure. After TX and OH it'll be all over for her.

Sal in Phoenix   February 26th, 2008 11:23 am ET

Too bad the media downplays Obama's downside's but jumps on Hillary every chance they get & put their own spin on things. When are they going to investigate his background? Probably when it's too late. Probably during his campaign against McCain, and when everything comes out, the Republicans will control the white house again and George Bush's policies will remain in tact.

Jack K.   February 26th, 2008 11:23 am ET

Ellen...??? A great politcal analyst if I've ever seen one.

I guess since Obama has white men, youth, blacks, hispanics, most of the "old guard"– the only support that HRC can count on now are gay woman 35-55 and of course her own family.

Geoffwjr   February 26th, 2008 11:22 am ET

Hillary is an old , run down politician who thinks she is owed the White House and how dare someone like Obama oppose her, I was for her in the begining but she is very devisive, go Obama go! the country would be better for it.

Let us not forget it was her responsibility to check out all of the facts before she voted for the war that was a mistake, she could have put in legislation just to go to Afghanistan but she help to give the DUMMY all of the authority go to Iraq to clean up his fathers legacy.

What did she also do with NAFTA she stood on her soap box and supported it in the press I don't want to hear what she supports now like a Monday morning quarterback, she needs to be correct on issues like these.

She is also so polarizing and resented that nothing won't get done she will be crying or yelling or both at the same time when she doesn't get her way.

On foreign policy she is so bull headed she won't even start out to talk to our enemies, she will be just like George Bush II.. She needs to realize she needs to put a hand out and it starts with talking , the worse that can happen is that they will say no and if our enemy starts something then it can't be said we didn't try by diplomacy fist.

Also, if Mccain won more and more people will die and he is now trying to backtrack on the war for 100 years too late we already know, he is just trying to get elected, hang out with your Lobbyist friends.

Go ObaMA Go!

"Unfortunately it appears that racism still exists today, but it is African-Americans that are doing the majority of it. This country has laughed at and mocked and said almost anything imaginable about the caucasian male, but that is always overlooked. It is widely thought by the majority of African-Americans that it is impossible to discriminate against the caucasian race, but unfortunately it happens constantly". This comment was posted earlier by "The Truth". As an African-Amercian this is insulting on several levels the least of which is the implication that I'd vote for Barack Obama is because his black. If I thought a six-legged monkey could silence ignorant comments like that, I'd vote for it.

Canadian neighbour   February 26th, 2008 11:22 am ET

I recall the electrifying speech Barak Obama gave in 2004 to support the chosen Democratic candidate John Kerry at the Democratic convention. I do not recall any complaints about the man being asked to speeak.

His name as it was then, is the same today. Now, I marvel at the latent messages being given about his name , that he is a closet muslim, that he does not cover his left breast at the playing of the national anthem, and most reprehensible of all, the picture of Mr Obama dressed in the traditional attire of his father's land of birth.
Is it desperation from the Clinton camp or is there someone, group or organization, trying to play on the minds of the people?.

What's next, an Obama sex scandal? Now that would be a WMD(weapon of major desperation). Then again.........well,you finish the sentence.

Dave, TX   February 26th, 2008 11:22 am ET

Ellen!?!?! big deal.
sorry, Hillary, the wheels are flying off now. you seem so desperate it is almost sad to watch. oh, right, it's the medias fault, though. like everyone is supposed to believe just because SNL has a skit it is truth. you want truth? NBC- owned by elites (General Electric) that thought they had this election sewn up with Clintons in their back pocket. the people had a different idea and now they are mad. meanwhile, Hillary's campaign is inept and losing money. so whose fault is that?

I have seen just about every PRO HRC comment come from women. As an Obama supporter I have been called a women hater, a member of a cult, stupid, vile, and a whole slew of other things. Well, I am just a normal guy who has done his OWN research, and found Obama to be the better person. Not really better, but more of what the country needs right now logic. I am down for a woman POTUS, just not Hill. SHe had her turn. 35 years of her turn. The real reason I am voting for Obama, is that Washington has yet to "buy" him and his votes. They have no clue who this guy is and are scared poop-poopless. Even the Media people are confused why people vote for Barrack. This is my way of revolting again my Goverement, send in a REAL person, and NOT one of their OWN (35 years right). I am tried of how this Goverement operates. Always taking....ALWAYS. I just want to be left alone, but that will not happen with the QUEEN, she will tell me to get this, go do that, garnish my paycheck because I don't feel like a politican has to tell me what to do. I am PISSED at this Goverement and that is why I am voting for OBAMA and NEVER for the QUEEN.

The understanding that Clinton and Obama believe they can lead this country was confirmed with their courage to run. My challenge as an independent registered voter is to sit back and allow the right & left wing parties choose their party candidate. My chance won’t come until the general election when I will chose from the spoils. This country has endured the decisions of strong male leaders.…In fact, their decisions have engaged us in a great civil wars. It’s time for leadership with a conscience. Clinton moves me as that kind of leader.

Ken   February 26th, 2008 11:16 am ET

Most people know that Hillary Clinton is the most qualified candidate.Unfortunately the media is pushing Obama to the White House.

Hillary has good plans on issues that affect so many Americans.

Obama lacks substance and can only preach phrases like " yes we can". Obama is a joke and the joke will someday be on him and his naive supporters.

Go Hillary!

Trafduol   February 26th, 2008 11:16 am ET

The fun thing to watch about the Democratic primary is how for the first time, because they have an AA and a woman in a tough battle, they have to blatantly fight and divide the fringe constituencies that the party always can take for granted. Now the muff divers have to decide if race trumps gender, or who is the most perverted on the "alternate lifestyle" scale. Oh well, the Navy fighter jock isn't going to get any of them anyway.

Richard Rodriguez Rivera   February 26th, 2008 11:15 am ET

Besides she is acting like a spoiled child, if she don't get it her way she goes on a fit. She is once proud to be besides Obama, the next time...........shame on you Obama. She calls out to her oponent to a like OK Corral, or a High Noon, type of shootout. Next she calls Ellen, as her firefighter 'cause it is to hot for her to handle, and she goes like, please, Ellen, please put this fire out for me, help me please, I can't do it by myself.

Ashley   February 26th, 2008 11:14 am ET

Since when is asking questions an endorsement people!?!

There was nothing said about Ellen endorsing Hillary! I would love to ask Hill some questions of my own, but that would be FAR from me endorsing her!!!

Grasping at straws!!

What I love about this is that the Hillary supporters are on another thread saying that Dodd's endorsement doesn't matter, but here they are falling all over themselves just because Ellen asked Hill a few questions...

Spin, spin, spin.....

“We already won Michigan."

No Hillary, you did not!

I'm a registered Michigan Democrat and many of my friends and neighbors did not participate in the Michigan primary since You and Dennis Kocinich were the only ones on the ballot.

You did not win. You failed to remove your name as you had previously agreed to do.

Nick   February 26th, 2008 11:12 am ET

I wonder if Hillary would ask her over to spend the night in the White House? That should get her some press for sure. The way Hillary looks these days I think that she will be needing a change in the near future and Hellen may be just the one to give it to her. You go girl.

I am a long-time liberal, I've seen a lot of elections but this is, by far, the most depressing. I've never seen a press so biased, no vengeful, so completely incapable of just reporting the news instead of trying to spin it to promote their own politics. My husband and I were Edwards supporters but moved to Clinton, primarily because of her intelligence and experience but secondly because the media was so blatantly brutal to her. We used to live on MSNBC - now we never watch it. She is no Satan and Obama is no god though Chris Matthews and his sycophants have shoveled that line for months now. I've heard this "peace, love and unity" stuff since the 60s. It's nothing new and it's certainly not about change or the future. It's 40 years old. It didn't work then and given the escalating divisivenesses of this country, it sure as hell isn't going to work now. When Obama has to face the real world instead of one in which everyone is cooing over him, he's going to be in for a rude awakening.

yeah Hillary   February 26th, 2008 11:08 am ET

Somehow Clinton supporters are superior thinkers, while the rest are lemmings that would follow Obama of a cliff.

It reminds me of the statistic that 80% of drivers believe they are above average.

Ben   February 26th, 2008 11:06 am ET

Michigan? I was wondering when she would start pulling that angle. It just shows she would do anything to win, even if it means tearing down the base of the Democratic Party. Michigan isn't hers to claim, both Obama and her agreed to not run in that state. But when the chips are down she will do anything. Sounds like Bush/Gore in 2000 and it's Florida all over again! I think Hillary has lost this bid; all she had to do is play it straight and build her case against John McCain. Better luck next time Senator.

Ben

I hope Michelle Obama keeps talking. I don't want our first lady to be someone who, in her forties and having been given every opportunity is only now proud of her country, as she says. And she now lies and says that's not what she might. Nice try, Michelle. Go back to you corporate lawyer job.
We want a person who LOVES her country, and that would be Hillary

GO HILLARY!!!!!!!!!

Arthur   February 26th, 2008 11:06 am ET

Ellen is a funny person. Obama is capable of changing the negative culture created by the current administration. Words are important. Hope is important. Most of our accomplishments as a nation were the product of inspirational leaders. People who had the ability to motivate and inspire. They did it with words. We have plenty of intelligent people in this country who are more than capable of finding solutions to our problems. We need a president who can bring them all together to work on a common goal. Obama has the ability to get the job done. Hillary will continue to polarize the country. She has good intentions but she does represent a lot of what we as a country would like to change. One of those things being the influence of special interest groups in Washington politics.

Priscilla   February 26th, 2008 11:04 am ET

It doesn't matter who Hillary turns to, her character is the same. She has no character and no integrity. If Hillary really loved America, she would step down and stop this nonsense!!!

YES!!!People- wake up and see the bigger picture!!! Who won the Feb 5 Supertuesday delegates and majority votes? ? HILLARY CLINTON!!
Perhaps after several hundreds of years, we will finally have a REAL change. After hundreds of years of male domination of the oval office, we will finally have the REAL SOLUTIONS to this ailing nation. She may have more nemesis at this time, but she also has more supporters . She is very much alive and in this race to get the nomination and eventually become the first woman president of this great nation. How great is that!!!

I think this is one that needs to be added or spoken about. Enough is enough, if Obama is worth his words, he should come out and fight. Leaders are known for their convictions and i am yet to see any for Obama. He is all things for all people. If you don't have opinion or conviction about something, even is negotiating or drawing other together or reaching consensus, how do you know where to draw the line? Obama is all about retorics and CNN is his mouth piece. I guess that CNN is gender shy but will not let it known. instead they knock on Clinton each time she draws fire and praises Obama each time he attacks Clinton.
My point is straight, fair is fair and the press have not been fair to mrs Clinton because they don't believe a woman should be the president.
On Oprah et al, it is because they believe that they are famous and mrs Clinton should not be the person to break the gender jinx. It is all about jealousy and that is why they are supporting Obama.

Please People, Can you not spot desperation when you see it? How can everyone else be wrong (the Media, especially CNN) and not the losing candidate? Hillary is losing this nomination because she is Hillary. She represents the old war game of "taking no prisoners" and leaving no room for conciliation. She and her campaign are guilty of every infraction she accuses Obama and his campaign of doing. Charges of inexperience, plagiarism, flipflopping, pictures of opponent in ceremonial headress, accusations of drug abuse, not placing his hand in the right spot for the pledge, not wearing a patriotic lapel pin have all back fired! Do you not smell desperation when you see it.? Do you know that her campaign failed to file her full slate of delegates for the Pennsylvania primary even after her buddy PA's governor extended the deadline? No one won Michigan, Hillary, and you did not win Florida either! No Dem candidate campaigned in those states because they were punished by the DNC. Remember she is still Slick Willy's wife and she learned how to campaign at his knee.
And finally, she does not represent change and the young folks in this country do not want her. They want Obama. Give them a chance to do better than we Baby Boomers did with Bush

Sherry   February 26th, 2008 11:00 am ET

What I find amazing about all of this is that it is clear to everyone that can look at this objectively that Senator Clinton has been the object of much unwarranted ridicule and the media has chosen to use unflattering terms to describe her and her campaign trying to make it appear that she is a has-been in the party that she and her husband have fought for for a lifetime.

While she is not the first politician to be treated unfairly, none of the rest have any backbone and have not said a word about the unbalanced coverage that fills our living rooms each night. Why do so few of our elected officials remain silent? This silence will prove to be the undoing of our party. Already the word among Democratic voters, that see this injustice, is they do not think they will even bother to go to the polls in the General Election. I am not speaking of the" Johnny come lately's" but of the true blue moderate/conservative Democrats that are the foundation of our party.

I realize that Senator Kerry chooses not to speak out about this injustice because he wants Senator Obama to win, but we all remember how he was swift boated with horrible media coverage. Howard Dean experienced this also, but in his current position, in my opinion, is he must remain neutral. My guess is that former Vice-President Al Gore will remain neutral until the convention, also. While some have sided with one candidate or the other, too few have spoken about the one-sided negative coverage of Senator Clinton.

Electing our President is a long drawn out process that should not be subjected to unbalanced coverage of facts. The media has the most influence on what the public learns of each candidate. When they take it upon their selves to slant coverage in a certain direction they have betrayed the trust the American people rely on. I can not speak for the rest of America, but I will never trust any news agency to be unbiased or truthful again. The only thing I have learned during this campaign is that the truth is seldom told.

lbrown in PA   February 26th, 2008 11:00 am ET

I think Obama and Clinton are both strong candidates and several of their views are similar; that is why I feel it is such a close race. So with this closeness in votes the school yard antics and mud slinging is starting to rear its ugly head which shows weakness and moves away from all the campaign promises and rhetoric... If you can't continue your stance in which you think could run this country without name calling, cheap shots and digging up internet garbage it questions how much confidence you have in yourself as a leader to result to tarnishing someone else to make yourself look better instead of sticking to your guns in what YOU and YOU alone envelops to win this race and HILLARY day by day its looking like you just aint got it!! "DON'T HATE THE PLAYER HATE THE GAME..."

Many people in Ohio have lost their jobs, because of NAFTA. I know that Barack has said that he will not repeal it due to the complexity created by The clintons and the bush administration. I know tonights debate Hillary is going to anger her felling toward Barack Obama. I hope he stays calm and colective as he has done. Barack Obama we admire you because of you judgement and the way you carry yourself in a respectfull and moral way. Hillary is to high strong and over emotional. I belive is true what other senators are saying "you just don know wich Hillary will show up" I lost so much respect for The Clintos. In regards to moral Im sorry Bill and Hillary have lost all of it. They are just so out of touch with the American people. I urge all democrats to support Borack Obama he is our choice here in Ohio. I also have high respect for McCain and and Chis Dodd who have worked hard for the American people

Texas   February 26th, 2008 10:59 am ET

Obama supporters will be left holding a bag of hope. The Republicans are going to eat him. Maybe when you witness this tragedy, you might learn something about fast talkers. The worst part is, the rest of Americans are going to suffer for your lack of wisdom in selecting the best person for the job.

Go Senator Clinton, we are not giving up.

linda   February 26th, 2008 10:58 am ET

Maria Johnson ... Honey get your facts checked. Obama often leads the pledge to open the senate, with his right hand over his heart. He was taught the pledge by his grandfather. There are many pictures of Obama saluting the flag even one from his high school days in Hawaii. (check out utube). Oh and this lie that you speak of was corrected over a year ago . I suggest you keep up you seem quite behind . But then again you are probably are a clinton supporter, which explains why you are behind, you want to have something in common with you candidate.

Who is Cindy McCain? Why hasn't the media scrutinized her qualifications to be first lady? What is her educational and employment background?

Iris, IN   February 26th, 2008 10:57 am ET

Of course I don't expect CNN to post this- they haven't posted any of my comments in the past few days, but here goes:

Has everyone forgotten the time that Hillary was on Oprah talking about her book and Oprah said Hillary would get her vote if she ever ran for President?

Obviously so...

Also, if there's no bias on this site, then why hasn't any of the endorsements of the 27 Brigadier Generals, Admirals and Rear Admirals been posted on this website? Why didn't John Glenn's endorsement make it on this website and countless others from leaders and Heads of State in TX, OH, PA, RI? Not to mention, The Laredo Times and The Daily Texan- a student newspaper run from the U of T in Austin?

The second that Obama gets one endorsement, no matter how miniscule, you all jump right on that puppy and get it in the headlines, but you DON'T that for Hillary. Why?

Despite all of the adverstiy, and hard-knocks and bashing that she has gotten, she still plugs along and keeps going. The little engine that COULD!

Hillary in '08! No matter how hard you try to push her down!

Kelly   February 26th, 2008 10:56 am ET

I love Ellen. While I think she's a great comedienne, I wouldn't consider her an expert of American politics.

I think everybody needs to start sticking to what they do best.

Ellen should stick to TV.
Hillary should stick to dividing the democratic party.
And Obama should stick to uniting our country.

Charlotte   February 26th, 2008 10:56 am ET

Obama was planning to run for President without serving a day in the Senate. Anyone who doesen't believe that is naive. He is not qualified to be President. It is so sad to see so many young people led astray. Most of them are still in the rally, rah rah mentality. Team spirit is nice in college. In the real world you learn there is more to life then the next game. Lets just hope they are off to the next game by November. Why do you think the republicans are saying Obama would be harder to beat then Hillary? Think about it. They want Obama as much as you do.....

Nobody bets on a losing horse. You look for a winner, believe in that winner, groom and push that winner to win some more.

An old horse lack innovation, vision clouded, and is confronted with the law of diminishing returns. The same principle applies in politics.

"Superdeligates" are no longer watching, they are already acting – and acting fast!

JT: Do you know what it means to be a law professor? You may not. Obama was for several years. You must have distinguished yourself academically, in practice etc. Only a handful of lawyers with incredible credentials ever get the privilege of that designation-Obama is one out of the millions of lawyers to get there. It is an incredible accomplishment. Don't take my word-call a law school and ask about the requirement. I have and I am working my way up (5years and still inching there....).

They closed comments on the media one about Hillary for some reason. However it is true that Obama has been spending so much on ads that the media loves him. That is why he is getting endorsements from newspapers etc. Even Yahoo Answers has been deleting questions and answers that favor Hillary and leaving pro Obama ones there.

Most of my responses on CNN here on the ticker never show up even though I am usually the first one answering.

I like Ellen but I like Oprah's candidate better (by a long shot).

Any Clinton supporters who equate Obama to Bush obviously don't follow politics. Clinton is closer to Bush than Barak is. Clinton voted for the Iraq war and she plans on leaving our troops there. You want our troops out, vote for Obama or Paul.

Sue Vandergrift   February 26th, 2008 10:48 am ET

All of you democrats in Texas and Ohio that remember how well the economy was when Bill Clinton was in office get out there and vote Hillary! I don't care whether or not she asks advice from Bill, as two heads are better than one on problem solving. I'm not putting Obama down, but his experience is limited to what he has accomplished here in the US. We need someone who has experience in foreign policy. He gives pretty speeches, but can he deliver? We know that Hillary delivers, look at what she has done in New York as a senator and she won New York! Do you truly think she would have won New York if they were not happy with her?

He recognizes our flag. You don't put your hand over your hear for the national anthem. Only the pledge of allegiance.

Facts lady. Facts.

The candidates are. It isn't CNN that makes Hillary look bad. It's Hillary. I was was raised by an angry white woman and wont vote for one to be my president.

i've never heard michigan confused with texas before
of course….i've never heard of a fair election in which only one meaningful name was on the ballot….as it was with hillary in michigan
i thought that was putin's approach in russia
let's get real.
vote obama

Yes, let's do get real! Why were Edwards and Obama so stupid as to CHOOSE to remove their names from the ballot? Even if the states don't count and nobody campaigned there, the last message the democrats as a whole need to be sending to people is that their votes don't count. This is why they usually lose the general election in the Fall against the republican candidate. We need to look above Hillary and Obama and look at what roughly 600,000 people in Michigan and roughly 1.75 million people in Florida thought those days. In the end, it's the people of Florida and Michigan that count more than the candidate who won. Democrats need to quit cutting their noses off to spite their faces.

Who is he trying to fool, well not me.... If they nominate him for the presidential candidate, McCain will definitely gets our votes... MORE POWER TO HILARY!!!!!

MBG   February 26th, 2008 10:40 am ET

I remember when everyone, including CNN, doubted Obama's ability to be competitive in this race. Everyone concentrated on Clinton and Edwards. Reporting on Obama mainly centered around the question of: why run? Why not wait until the next presidential election? Everyone, including Mrs. Clinton, underestimated Obama – and more importantly, underestimated the American people. They underestimated our tiredness and insult our intelligence.

We are tired of Washington thinking that they know what’s best for us. Washington doesn’t know anything. Because if they did, we would not be in this hole that we are in right now: failing economy, failing war, failing education, and I could go on and on – but I’m sure everyone gets the point. And that’s the sad part, everyone knows that we’re in deep trouble. Unfortunately, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton are too entrenched in that old Washington mentality. You, Mrs. Clinton – along with your husband – helped dig the hole that we are in. And, I have no faith that you can help us. Yes, it’s going to take a miracle to get us out, and I wholeheartedly believe that it will take someone innovative like Barrack Obama to dig us out.

I’m tired of you complaining about dirty politics and campaign, when we all know that you and Mr. Clinton wrote the book, and all its sequels.

We Women in this country don't know anything about bonding. For centuries men in this country have come together for common causes. Whether it be for wars or civil rights , the point is they STOOD TOGETHER, millions of them, and shared common ground. But We Women have never bonded together on a large scale for any reason. So,Hillary...you are on your own. We can't rally around you, because in a way we are a challenged gender. We don't deserve to have you as President, because you have worked so hard for equality but we have worked so little for it. We will always be just the Hostess for America....standing with a tourch raised high, welcoming others to enjoy the liberty that we don't have and don't even want for ourselves.

I chuckle at this article just becuase of the comparison with Oprah. I'm not a fan of either talk show hosts, but I belive Oprah has more leverage if you compare the two women. To the person pointing out Obama's faults, Clinton has just as much and even more so skeletons in her closet then Obama does. The republican party has more amuniation against her. And as for experience, none of the candidates has any real solid experience except for the few democrats who dropped out like Governor Richardson.

MaryJo Bruce Surprise, Ariz   February 26th, 2008 10:37 am ET

Thia Democratic race will be won by the media. They control everything. People will believe what the news etc says. Many people are puppets and do not investigate much on their own. They listen to hearsay and follow the crowd. The public likes to hear people that speak all flowerly and conviencing. This is what Obama does. He talks really nice and says what the people want to hear. A great orator. Gets people riled up. Nothing like getting an audience following in a chant of some kind. He and his wife are good at it. But, we need to look at experience in alot of this. American needs someone that can start right off and get into it. No bending over backwards to all these countries that want you, your family and my head unless we go-go muslim. No way Jose... American number one. We are tired of these other 3rd world countries making us kiss our own you now what. No
taking a back seat to them.

It's clear Obama and his supporters do not want to be confused by "the facts".

It's one thing to have Hope and Inspiration, but as far as I'm concerned I'm looking for Experience because with experience brings Perspective.

Perspective is what we need on all of the issues.

Hope is just that, Hope. Maybe we can only Hope that Obvama may find some perspective. Oh wait he can't he's not been around long enough to see how things really are. Only time and experience can bring perspective.

Mariana Stout   February 26th, 2008 10:36 am ET

Hillary did not WIN Michigan Ellen! I am from Michigan and she absolutely did not win. It was her and Dennis Kucinich on the ballot, and many people picked her because they didn't know they could vote Uncommitted. Furthermore, alot of people WROTE IN other candididates' names in which those votes were not counted. So know the facts.

Whuzi   February 26th, 2008 10:35 am ET

America is not a dictatorship! I could have sworn that whoever the President becomes will NOT be able run this country with an iron. We elect so many officials for this very reason. If you truly believe that voting matters, then you should also believe that the voice of the people will prevail over whatever the President wants. All this 35 years experience talk is BS because Clinton would be consulted by the same type of people that Obama would. The difference is that Obama wouldn't be afraid to get help from others in the areas he isn't so strong in. He is a uniter who isn't afraid to admit his faults. Hillary is just "me me me" and wouldn't care if she drove this country into the ground as long as she got her way. HRC has not owned up to any of her wrongdoings. If 35 years of experience meant anything, then HRC's campaign should be much more organized then it is now. She sucks at running a campaign (obviously because she lost 11 states in a row) how the hell will she be able to run an entire Country.

CNN needs to not ignore this... :(

Replacing ppl when things get tough, acting bi-polar, accepting money from big business and special interests, experinece covering up legislative crimes.

To all you Obama supporters: give it a break. Out of all the candidates' supporters you are the meanest and most offensive. It is just a facade to cover up the fact that your candidate is too nieve to run this country the way it needs to be run. He doesn't have the experience needed to be the leader of the USA. Jose Card - Independent   February 26th, 2008 10:28 am ET

“Well, we’re going to win Ohio and Michigan!”

After ten seconds of applause and smiles, she let the crowd know that her strategy hadn’t taken a suddenly bizarre turn.

“Wait a minute, Ohio and Texas,” she shouted. “We already won Michigan." – Hillary
-----------------------------

Hillary must be so exhausted and confused by what's going on in the campaign. If she has a hard time with managing her campaign, for example, no plan B for the second phase of the race, and not remembering which state she is competing in next, can she 'manage' a country? Let alone leading us as a nation.

Yes, we would like to have a woman president, but she must be the most qualified of all candidates. Is she even qualified? What did she actually accomplish in the past 35 years? Efforts are appreciated, but performance counts for the Oval Office.

This whole "nomination process" is unfair. Some states have open primaries and some have caucuses. I don't think a registered independent or Republican should be influencing who the Democrats nominate. You want to be a Democrat , then register as one or stay out of my party business!!!. HILLARY Is being denied the votes she WON in FLORIDA and MICHIGAN. Unfair!!! Sounds like the same corruption we saw with the "Hanging Chads" back in 2000. Obama is another Bush. All talk and swagger and no substance. As a Democrat for 39 yrs., I will NOT vote for Obama if he is the nominee in Nov. HILLARY is EXPERIENCED and all the exit polls show that in every state. She also represents CHANGE. ANYONE BUT BUSH is change. The first female president is CHANGE and HISTORY.

One of the biggest concerns for Americans right now is the War on Terror. Many politicans are claiming that they will pull our troops out, bring them home and all that other good stuff. Who do you think is the best person and actually capable of doing the job? Obama or Clinton? I believe Obama can actually go over to the Middle East, talk to the people and began discussing peace talks. I don't think Clinton will be able to do this....due to the fact that they don't respect women over there. America is the only country where women are completely and totally liberated individuals.

Stop attacking Hillary!! She is the best candidate of all 3!!! Because she is a woman, they are hitting very hard on her.
Why the Media (Cnn and friends) don't attack Obama? Why they don't questions his ability to be Commander in Chief?
She is still on top, and it doesn't matter how many version she sends, she is human and not everything is smile and smile. There is day in human life, were we are angry or happy.....or belief one thing now and later learn to see it the other way. That's normal......what is not normal is to have a Dump president and to welcome a next one like Obama or McCain. We need to choose wisely the next leader of this country......and like I see, we are again on the wrong way.
We are looking for somebody who is young and good looking, who has charme and who knows how to speak.

In the meanwhile the Country hit the bottom. The economy is on the floor, in the World there is rumors of wars, millions of people are loosing homes and jobs, the criminality is on the rise again, ..............

and we are looking at somebody who is charmed, good looking..........!!! That's nice America....let's do the same mistake again and again.

For all of you unintelligent people who cannot even write a sentence without misspelled words and grammatical errors and are cheering the praises of Hillary – give me a break!!! If memory serves, it was the Clinton campaign that began sending out misleading flyers toting many untruths about Obama in the beginning. However, I don't recall him soapboxing and going hysterical. He has been attacked time and time again by the Clinton's and has NEVER acted like an insane bipolar maniac. She is loosing control, as seen by every commedian who decided to mock her!!! Now, because he has finally decided to defend himself and send out his own mailers, it is shame on him. Give me a break. He has held himself with the utmost respect and decency and has never faltered. She on the other hand has shown she cannot handle pressure. This is why all of the educated people in this country are voting for him, they know how to act in public especially when you are trying to win over people. It is not by being sarcastic and nasty. I hope the rest of America really does a little research before saying "Hillary is great" because I heard a few things about her buying people off and such to get her husband into office, and many other things such as tax fraud and nearly being prosecuted. Is this really who you want as Commander in Chief? Anyway, as a white woman with two children, I do believe IT IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE A MAN THAT SHOULD BE COMMANDER IN CHIEF!!!! If you woman out there were paying more attention to your families instead of yourselves and your careers the country would be a lot better off....you can't have it both ways. Go Obama.....

Good For Hill, she can and will win Texas and Ohio. People need to wake up and see this Obma Fairy tale for what it is, A FAIRY TALE! How much change can he bring to Washington? What dreamers without substance (like him) have won the election and brought REAL change. Change has to come with plans, experience, the ability to work Washington (whether your willing to admit it or not). Politics is a game and you need to be in it to win it. You cnat jsut tlak about the need for change and how good change will be without the REAL plan for it, Hillary knows how to work Washington and has the plans to address the hard issues that plague America. WAKE UP people! Obama woudl be a great VP and will gain the knowledge through her over the next 8 years however if America gets it wrong and puts him as the Democractic candidate, we have basically just eleceted John Mcain to the White House. THey will have a field day during the run-up to the election with Obama's inexperience and dreams.

Dean   February 26th, 2008 10:19 am ET

Those of us Democrats in Texas know who brings the experience to the table. It is important to draw distinctions between idealogies and work done in the 'trenches'. Hillary camp, keep up the good work informing voters in the remaining states. If we wanted a preacher in the White House, we would be electing Huckabee!

Both Hillary and Obama are extremely good to be President of America,i don´t see any reason why there should be so much hatred and enemity between them,i think they are mother and father respectively and should be good example to the people of America. What are they struggling for, what gonna be,gonna be.They should allow American people to choose on their own and not through destroying eachother and the Democratic Party as a whole

NY   February 26th, 2008 10:18 am ET

For the last time about the photo it came in the national enquirer two years ago, and they already said they don't think it came from their camp. Did it ever occur to anyone that his camp released the photo and then blamed it on the clinton campaign. It is plaussible. He is not all nice like people think. He lies and manipulates things to his advantage. Anyone who has done their research would figure that out by now.

HILLARY! 2008! COMEON, PEOPLE, USE YOUR BRAINS!

James   February 26th, 2008 10:17 am ET

Hillary this is my advice for you your ambition for power is over. Give a
consession speech, divorce your husband and start praying for all your lies and sins.

God bless

Its a shame Mrs. Clinton runs on her husbands coattails and perceived success, be all for NAFTA back in the day and then decide 15 years later when running for president to distance herself from it lack the plague. If u gonna take credit for the good u gotta take the blame for the bad. U cant cherry pick. Its a shame how blind some people are and refuse to c the reality of the situation that Mrs. Clinton is not a good candidate. The sad part is that their are REAL qualified women candidates who could run on their own laurels and got into governor seat without their husband. But this fiasco is probably gonna set women back and that will be SHAMEFUL!

GET REAL!

THE WHOLE DEMOCRATIC PARTY IS GETTING CRAZIER. HAS ANYONE BOTHERED PUTTING FEELINGS ASIDE AND TRULY LOOKING AT BOTH CANDIDATES. IT IS CLEAR THAT THEY BOTH HAVE SOMETHING TO OFFER. BUT LETS LOOK AT THE WHOLE PICTURE. NOT JUST ONE THING THAT A CANIDATE HAS TO OFFER. LET'S LOOK AT WHO WILL BE THE BEST CANDIDATE THAT HAS THE EXPERIENCE ON LOTS OF PROBLEMS THAT FACE US HERE IN THE USA, HOUSING, POVERTY, ECONOMY, FOREIGN AFFAIRS, HEALTH INSURANCE ETC. WE SHOULD NOT JUDGE ANYONE BY THEIR GENDER OR COLOR. WHAT ACCOMPLISHMENTS HAS EACH CANDIDATE DONE THROUGHOUT THEIR CAREER? HOWEVER, I LIKE OBAMA BUT WHAT REALLY HAS HE SAID THAT HE HAS DONE OTHER THAN HIS MOM RAISED HIM AS A SINGLE MOTHER. I WANT TO KNOW WHAT HE HAS DONE NOW. THIS WILL HELP ME DECIDE WHO I WILL VOTE FOR. HILLARY HAS SHOWN WHAT SHE HAS DONE. I TRULY BELEIVE THAT SHE WILL FIGHT FOR US. OBAMA MIGHT TOO, BUT I WANT HIM TO TELL ME WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR THE PEOPLE OF ILLINOIS AND ELSEWHERE UP TO TODAY. ALSO, IT IS CLEAR TO ME AND OTHERS THAT THE PRESS WANTS OBAMA TO WIN. THAT'S ALL YOU SEE IN THE NEWS IS THE BAD STUFF ABOUT HILLARY AND ALL THE GREATNESS OF OBAMA. I BELEIVE I WILL SWITCH TO A REPUBLICAN AFTER THIS.

LifeLongDemocrat   February 26th, 2008 10:15 am ET

First, Jean Ellen was just rated the most popular daytime talk show host.

One thing I have learned from this campaign is that sexism is alive and well in the US. I am a product of the 60s when women were not allowed to even interview for the good jobs and this was legal. When I graduated from college only companies with asterisks by there name on the job posting board were available to women. They interviewed but didn't hire them.

HIllary has been given mostly negative press by the various media outlets, Obama has been given mostly positive press. Yesterday someone from the Houston Chronicle was on TV and sadi that Texas men will favor any man, whilte or black over a woman. Period.

I guess the women's movement will have to resurrect itself. I gave up my NOW membership but will rejoin.

Today's women don't even know what I'm talking about as their world has been very different from mine.

I will still support HIllary and may have to write her name in unless my choices are expanded beyond Obama, McCain and Nader. I am still hopeful that HIllary will be the nominee.

If Obama is the nominee he needs to start the courtship with us Hillary supporters as we all know that the race will pull the numbers together. I remember 1972 when everyone was excited and no one showed up at the polls. Most lobsided race in history.

Sonya   February 26th, 2008 10:15 am ET

Hillary isn't going to go anywhere but straight to the White House. All of you Obamabots ARE delusional. Ellen is a wonderful person, and very intelligent, that's why she's supporting Hillary. That's why all her supporters support her. WE can't wait to see her take the oath of office in Jan.09!
Thanks Ellen, I knew I loved you for some reason.
Also to the earlier blogger listed above, Diana, thanks for supporting Hillary and tellling your story and beliefs. We all feel the same way. I hope all these people come to their senses soon!!!!
Go Hillary!!!

Amy, Kazoo   February 26th, 2008 10:15 am ET

oh and I would MUCH rather listen to Ellen's ral life relatable humor than have Oprah show me her hideous corns on her feet and tell me how many pairs of spanx she's wearing.

Joan   February 26th, 2008 10:15 am ET

Yawn.

Hillary's finished. She has no chance mathematically to catch up. She's on a steady downward trajectory. It's over.

The only question is does she stay in just to harm Obama for the GOP in November, or bow out gracefully and help the DNC.

For the good of the party and the country, Hillary - DO THE RIGHT THING!!! End this now!

cecil   February 26th, 2008 10:15 am ET

Hello America;

Sen. Hillary Clinton can't even manage her campaign correctly, let alone this country.

She is trailing because of her traditional way of thinking and campaigning.

The world has changed, and to get things accomplish now in goverment and business you have to be very creative and decisive all mix with wisdom.

Obama is still in contention for one reason.
Intelligent strategics in his campaign strategy from day one period.

Sen. Clinton has a mouth, a power name, campaign money, political
experience and intelligents. She underestimated Obama.

"She needs to stop blaming the media for her ineptness"

People have to realize it is not over until the fat lady sings. America thought that the New England Patriots was going to keep their winning record, but look what happened. In the game of politics anything is POSSIBLE. America don't count Hillary out of this race. Many are making Obama out to be an IDOL. Yes, it is true he is a great orator. But our country need a lot more than eloquent energizing promises. We need to do more than just hope. Hope can't pay my bills or put food on my children's table, but my trust and belief in God the Father can and He will. Please America take the blinders off. We have to much at stake.

ED   February 26th, 2008 10:14 am ET

ELLEN WILL NEVER EVER COMPARE TO OPRAH IN A MILLION YEARS. I AM SURE ELLEN WOULD TELL YOU THAT HERSELF. NEITHER OF THEM HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE ELECTION. CLINTON IS A EMOTIONAL BASKET CASE. I WOULD HATE TO HAVE TO VOTE FOR HER FOR PRESIDENT. SHE CRIES THEN SHES MAD, SHE IS JUST ALL OVER THE PLACE. OBAMA KEEPS HIS COOL AND WE NEED A LEVEL HEAD IN THE PRESIDENTAL OFFICE. THE TITLE SHOULD BE CLINTON WHO THE WAY HE IS SWEEPING HER ALL OVER THE PLACE.

Jim, Youngwood, Pennsylvania   February 26th, 2008 10:14 am ET

Too bad Obamam pulled a Rove (Karl Rove) that is with this picture. Why hasn't anyone asked the OBama campaign why they released the photo to then blame on Clinton. Karl Rove did this in 2004 with Bush's military records which got a negative out of the way and allowed the gutless media to blame the Kerry campaign for something that is true(Bush was AWOL from his Vietnam-dodging service).

Here, Barak's campaign of more of the same, not change, has done the same thing with this photo. Since when did Hillary steal Barak's photo album? This is his picture isn't it? It's clear that Obama's campaign released this in order to blame Hillary and make her seem more negative. Too bad it is Barak's old inside Washington hit job team that is responsible. Once again Barak, YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!

OBAMA NOMINATION = MCCAIN PRESIDENCY

BVK   February 26th, 2008 10:13 am ET

She's always the victim, isn't she? Wah wah wah. You're not being given a hard time because you're a woman. You're being given a hard time because you're a manipulative sneaky sleeze.

Is Obama claiming he is being mistreated because he is 'black?' Uh uh.

I wish both candidates would stop trying to show why the other one sucks and start showing why he/she is so great.

NM   February 26th, 2008 10:13 am ET

MJ, that's how trivial your vote is! Your vote is influenced by false propaganda. If Obama is nominee McCain will not need your vote. Get it right.

JSterling   February 26th, 2008 10:09 am ET

With all the power that a President has, I think Obama must realize that he the Republicans will not just roll over and hand him everything that he wants.
As a junior Senator, he just does not have the connections throughout Congress to get things done. As history has shown us, JFK had been in Congress and in politics for a long time and had built those very important connections that enabled him to give hope and get it done.
If camp Hillary is watching, push foreign policy even harder. China and Russia are issues that get swept to the sidelines by Iraq and Afg. but will be tomorrows challenges. Go Hillary Go.

Toline   February 26th, 2008 10:07 am ET

35 years of experience for What? What have I done during these 35 years! Just learning how to fight "Republicans" and collecting money from Lobbyists... How pathetic!

Now the Republicans are the enemy??? Shouldn't we think of reuniting against the common enemies ...Ben Ladin et al... How messed up is that!
It's like we don't have enough haters and deviders in this country!

Let's call that 35 years of compounded mistakes and greed to become President!
Long live Hope, Honor, Pride, Respect and Peace!
Long live the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!
ENOUGH OF THESE PATRIO-POCKETS ..(Patriots just because they want to fill their pockets over and over again)

Hope for America - OBAMA-EDWARDS 08

We are all kidding ourselves if we think anything will change. The system is what it is: Broken, deeply rooted and unchangeable. We are pawns being played by a powerful few made to think that our Political Election system is going to make a difference for the future. Politics is analogous to Show Biz and this campaign has gone on longer than any TV sitcom or series. I'm thinking of voting for Howdy Doody

Farrell, Houston, Tx   February 26th, 2008 10:06 am ET

Hillary is damaging the democrat party and it obvious democrats in Washington don't want her there. I haven't seen any strong support for her coming out of Washington like Obama has.

kim   February 26th, 2008 10:05 am ET

Maria Jamison.... what you're stating has been brought up since this man announced his bid. I'm not sure what you've been watching. I have never saluted the flag and you know what neither have you. The issue that you're likely referring to is not putting his hand over his heart for the singing of the national anthem. I don't have a problem with that either because again there are multiple times that I haven't either. His religion is Christian and you folk really should stop as this is old, tired and frankly an outright lie. The reason you don't hear every news channel touting this is because it isn't an issue because it isn't true. If Obama had concentrated on dealing with all the lies there is no way he could have run the stellar campaign that he has. The reason Clinton's campaign is a runaway train is because you could not have told her that this thing would not have been over in Feb. She put all her eggs in the Super Tuesday basket and they rotted. She blew her money and wasted her time concentrating on nonissues and this is the result. Obama stuck to his message from day one and this is why he is the front runner to date.

ann esposiro   February 26th, 2008 10:05 am ET

I am in complete agreement with "Diana" who is a black woman but who sees the "emptiness" in Obama, and the false hype that brought him to where he is today. CNN and MSNBC won't give Hillary the time of day, yet will play Obama's lengthy speeches over and over again. His theme never changes, it's always "Do you want change?" He knows how to work a crowd and he would be better off as a stand up comedian than as a politician. Don't give up Hillary, there are millions of us who see what's going on. We love you!

I am sick to death of Obama and will not vote for him in November even though I am a "yellow dog Democrat" – I have had him shoved down my throat 24-7 by the news media and it has made me angry. I am a 60 year old white woman and have finally realized that the men of this country will never elect a woman president - we are supposed to be subordinate. Well, maybe with God's help, I will forgive the Democratic party for this lopsided race but I will not forgive the media nor the white men in the Senate who have supported Obama. I am not prejudiced and if Condi Rice were to run with McCain would vote for McCain. I hope this country realizes that it is hopelessly following the pied piper.

James, Houston, TX.   February 26th, 2008 10:04 am ET

Hillary, On Obama; You've been aiming at the wrong area, its the Achilles; Weak spot for all Blacks! As for Ellen, Good Move; Ellen has been ther done That !!

Jen, MI   February 26th, 2008 10:04 am ET

Good for Ellen......Good for Hillary.

I Usually vote democratic ticket, but if Obama wins the nomination...I will not vote for him. I will probably just sit this one out.

The media hasn't given him the scrutiny he should have....he is after all after the most important job in the United States. Come On People, lets check him out.....don't just follow him blindly. I watched a lot of his speeches and the people aren't even listening to him...and I heard he listens to the people.....Yea Right. He doesn't even want to talk to the media. Yet they annoint him as the next Messiah. He is going to solve all our problems. People, Wake Up, do you really think the republicans are going to roll over and play dead when he gets in the White House.

He says we need to do it together......exactly what is he going to listen to from the people.......it's Washington people.....they do what they want anyway.

I just can't believe people are so blindly following him. He Makes Me Feel Good.......

Look at the pic. Hillary looks like she is on Pee-Wee's Play house.

kim   February 26th, 2008 10:00 am ET

I have seen, heard and read plenty of things that the media has presented that wasn't favorable to Obama... mostly having to do with their opinions about issues. Fortunately he has chosen to run a campaign that doesn't make it practice to hurl insults and use fear tactics and outright lies. The medica cannot side with Hillary when she's wrong and she is clearly wrong. She is focusing so much on Obama that she cannot even figure out where SHE stands. I for one do not want anyone who cannot run their own campaign running the country. I applaud Obama for not stooping to the level that Hillary and others have. I like Ellen enough but not enough to sway my vote to that camp. Distortitmore... both candidates agreed about MI and FL and only after Hillary's miserable standings is it now an issue with her, it was not a campaign error on Obama's part but simply sticking to what he agreed to something Hillary and others like her should do. If the DNC gives Hillary the nod despite the popular vote (if the popular vote is for Obama) then they have sealed the fate of the party and there WILL be at least another 4 years of republican rule.

Dave   February 26th, 2008 10:00 am ET

To all the Hillary supporters, I was under the impression that celeb endorsements were of no consequence. But in the 11th hour I guess if your about to be shown the door, everything is on the table. There however now seems to be an all out effort not only in the Clinton campaign but on the part of a bunch of sickos also who are trying to sully Baracks good name. Sorry to say that this tactic will not work either. You see, she's been doing it from the start and look where's it's got her. It will only get worse. She has two choices available to her as far as this nomination process is concerned. 1.) Prepare herself to make a graceful exit from the race has it had appeared she would do in Austin. Guess it was only wishful thinking coupled with the fact that everything she said was utter B.S. 2.) Or she can leave in disgrace and possibly ruin the democratic party in the process. It should not take utter humiliation to get this woman to come to terms that she can't win. They can try if they like to pull a fast one but there will be hell to pay for the effort. Oh I forgot the othe option. Just like what the rightwingers like Limbaugh and those types are suggestion to stop Obama anyway possible. Whatever that means? Anyone care to guess...

CP   February 26th, 2008 9:59 am ET

I take offense to the notion that Obama supporters are delusional. We are educated, well-read, well-versed citizens who have made a choice–a choice to move away from the politics of hate and fear and to move into a new age where cooperative efforts by all Americans will bring out solutions.. Think independent, Ivy-league educated, MD is in no way delusional and neither are of the millions who have come to the same conclusion as I!!!

Obama needs to set forth some concrete plans. Enough of the rallies at which he says the same things over and over. Just a little too much like a brain washing session. What are you going to change? How, exactly, will those changes be made? At the moment, Obama is acting just a little too smug and he needs to be recognized as the professional politician he is; not as an acceptable leader to get us out of the mess we are in. Hillary is ready and she must keep up the good fight in order to give the Democrats the chance they need to boot the Republicians out of the White House. Go Hillary!!!!!

Ella   February 26th, 2008 9:57 am ET

Clinton camp's attitude is that “we won’t need to win in Pennsylvania” ?

Just a couple of weeks ago she was touting the importance of the blue-collar demographics in Ohio AND Pennsylvania, but apparently Pennyslvania (and it's people) don't really matter anymore.

The fact that Obama's winning more states says a lot about how the majority of people in this country are leaning to – especially the ones who don't always dominate the national landscape (e.g. smaller states like Maine, etc.)

EZA   February 26th, 2008 9:56 am ET

Ellen who????

As of matter of fact, who cares about what Ellen has to say?

DELUSIONAL   February 26th, 2008 9:56 am ET

YES YOU OBAMA FOLLOWERS ARE DELUSIONAL!!!!!!!!!! A STATE SENATOR FROM TX COULDN'T EVEN NAME ONE OBAMA ACCOMPLISHMENT. YOU JUST SHOUT CHANGE CHANGE HOPE HOPE BLAH BLAH!!!!! NO CLUE ABOUT THE ISSUES OR THE SERIOUSNESS OF BEING PRESIDENT

E. Murray   February 26th, 2008 9:55 am ET

For me who is not an American and will not vote, I also see some bias in the way the media is favoring the words of Obama. Please present the true picture as the decisions of the President of the USA affect not only America but the whole world. You have done it to John Kerry and favored this current President who has made this world chaotic, caused the death of so many people, and largely caused the economic downturn in most economies.

sm   February 26th, 2008 9:54 am ET

oh dear god she's crazy!

Cindy Carson   February 26th, 2008 9:54 am ET

I, too, am disgusted with the news media who has "elected" the democratic candidate shaping the mindless, herd mentality of those Americans who have chosed to "vote" blindly!! The fervency of the Obama campaign is similar to the fervency of the evangelical vote who "mindlessly" elected Bush. Look at what happened in this situation. Our country is in ruins due to the lack of insight and the thoughtlessness of the "emotional vote" of Americans. It is time that Americans think and vote with their heads especially at a time that our country is in such a dreadful set of circumstances. We don't really know who Obama is, and this is one heck of a way to find out–at a time when our country needs sound leadership. Think Americans! Stop this irrational voting with your emotions!!! America deserves the soundness of leadership that comes with experience, wisdom, the consideration for all Americans. I pray that reason will prevail for the furture well-being of all Americans.

Nancy FL   February 26th, 2008 9:54 am ET

I have said this time and time again. Hillary also won Michigan and Florida when are people going to face up to those two winnings.
Hillary would have many more delegates than Obama if things are being played fair here, but there hasn't been fairness at all.

Frankly I'm also tired of the same speeches and the same talk from Obama.
You keep on going Hillary even if things get tough we know how strong you are and we need a strong leader as President.

Barry IL   February 26th, 2008 9:54 am ET

Senator Clinton is losing ground mainly due to her campaign's weakness. The doubt about Clinton's camp is growing by the day. Who wants Clinton-group to run USA as they are running this campaign now? We will be in trouble, with all that "experience" of 35 years. If they cannot effectively and consistently run this campaign, how do we expect them to run our country, a much much...bigger challenge, effectively.

Beth from TX   February 26th, 2008 9:53 am ET

I agree – Hillary has Bi-Polar tendencies. One minute she is honored (conceding) the next minute she is saying "Shame On You" for telling the TRUTH. Who wants to have someone forced on them? Hell, if people can barely make it pay day to pay day as it is – YEAH, throw another curve ball their way so they can have a harder time than when they started – she is full of herself!!

THE JUDGE IS GOD, HE IS GOD BECAUSE HE DECIDES WHO WINS OR LOSES, NOT YOUR OPPONENT. YOUR OPPONENT IS JUST A MERE DECENT FROM THE TRUTH YOU SPEAK.

OBAMA SPEAKS THE TRUTH – DON'T HATE THE PLAYA – HATE THE GAME – POLITICS –

HILLARY IS VERY FAMILIAR WITH PLAYING THE GAME – A LITTLE TOO FAMILIAR FOR MY TASTE - BYE BYE !!

AMERICANS WANT A NEW VOICE IN WASHINGTON – NOT SOMEONE WHO HAS EXPERIENCE IN PLAYING THE GAMES IN WASHINGTON.

NEW HOPE FOR THE COUNTRY – ENRICHED IN THE PROMISES THAT WERE ONCE MADE BY OUR FOUNDING FATHERS.

FFD   February 26th, 2008 9:53 am ET

Senator Clinton has ruined not just this election but her chances in 2012 and 2016...her schizophrenic behavior has been shocking! Not all people disliked her at the beginning of the campaign – they just began to like Senator Obama more. Now growing numbers of people are beginning to dislike her and her tone. Its too bad but fortunately we have been able to see her range of reactions before she was elected.

Sallly   February 26th, 2008 9:53 am ET

My prediction is that Hillary will win OH and TX by slim margins and nobody will have enough delegates. Then it's up to the superdelegates – question is, do they allow Florida and Michigan? I say re-vote, especially with this kind of a race.

I love Ellen – so glad she's supporting Hillary!

YOU GO GIRL! MADAME PRESIDENT!

SaneTexan   February 26th, 2008 9:53 am ET

RE: Jenny- thank God that Ellen is no Oprah! Oprah is a racist who works behind the scenes with all her her money and power. If she supports Obama...that is a good enough reason to look the other way.
Obama is an empty suit. Ellen is funny and a good person. Hillary has the goods!

College Student, TX   February 26th, 2008 9:51 am ET

I seriously doubt this has as much clout as Oprah's endorsement. What Ellen did is similar to someone running into a burning building thats 2 minutes from collapsing. Near suicide.

The Obama Train Cant Be Stopped, 08!!!

Voting for Clinton is Dumb!!!!!!!!!!!   February 26th, 2008 9:51 am ET

To the truth I feel your analysis is ignorant. Tell me what did the Clintons do for black people !!!! Give me examples since you said they have done alot for blacks. Even if they 're voting for Obama in great numbers doesn't mean its because he black. Maybe its because they feel he is simply the better person for the job. Maybe they said what did the Clintons do for African Americans !! Maybe they took a look at Hillary past and her behavor now and said we don't want this woman as our president !!! Truth be told no other candidate has bad history as Hillary.

Abdi-mpls   February 26th, 2008 9:51 am ET

I disagree with the Governor-the youths..high school, college and others support the best candidate and the best candidate is Barack Obama!
I have to agree with AJ ..she is dangerous for Americans and the rest of the world and everybody will be very much happy to see her exist the race.
About her foreign policy- It was disgusting to see her say that Obama will need a manual, but wait a minute she needs a new manual too because she used Bush's manual that told her to vote for the war in Iraq which makes her more of a republican follower..too bad..
OBAMA HAS THE BEST FOREIGN POLICY AND SENATOR DODD AND THE REST OF THE AMERICA AGREES WITH HIM.

Njiru   February 26th, 2008 9:50 am ET

America has spoken and Ellen should simply join Obama.
Obama 08. It so cool, so simple.

Ellen is much better then oprah the tuna.

NCLaw441   February 26th, 2008 9:47 am ET

I think Ellen is funny and a good entertainer. Unless she has some political and policy experience I am unaware of, why would anyone base their vote on her endorsement? (Or Oprah's either, for that matter) For the record, I don't support either of these two liberals, but I would prefer Obama win rather than Clinton, because he appears at least honest, if misguided. I do not believe Hillary has a soul, or any core values, other than the value of getting elected.

Jill Mitchell   February 26th, 2008 9:46 am ET

Finally! America is awake and is starting to realize that it needs someone who'll make REAL SOLUTIONS which is backed up of YEARS OF REAL EXPERIENCE than mere promises and words! Thanks Ellen for reminding the Americans and spearheading the unfair handling of the media regarding this nomination issues. It seems to me that it's ok for Obama to simply talk without necessarily showing us the REAL and CONCRETE WAY OUT OF OUR PROBLEMS.

We need somethings REAL...
REAL SOLUTIONS FROM OUR ONE AND ONLY REAL PRESIDENT!

GO HILLARY!

SexyL in Canada   February 26th, 2008 9:43 am ET

WOW!! Hillary is jealous, that's not good as a presidential candidate. People have to realize, she is not being professional at all times. These candidates have to be strong, and not be jealous and let anything get in the way. Who would want a President that gets upset at every little thing. I believe its people who has common sense that will vote for Obama. If people vote for Mc Cain and Clinton they might as well make Bush stay as President forever, and make everyone and every other country hate America. Not good, wake up America. The rest of the world can see that you should vote for Obama. Hillary and McCain are just like Bush, out to do distruction to the world and America. You need a President that the rest of the world will love and adore. We need to all get along.

Vote Obama 2008

Brian M. From Fort Mill, S.C.   February 26th, 2008 9:42 am ET

I like Ellen. I especially loved her in "Finding Nemo". Maybe we should turn Hillary into a fish, and make a new movie. We could call it, "Finding Delegates".

NoBama   February 26th, 2008 9:42 am ET

I know affirmative action has helped unqualified minorities get through the education system and get jobs, but I never thought it would help someone completely inexperienced and unqualified become President of the US. Sad that Obama has to rely on affirmative action for that job the same way he used it to get into Harvard.

Calvin   February 26th, 2008 9:39 am ET

Hillary supporters seem to have traits common with her campaign. Its full of anger, crying and excuses. She lost 10 states in a row. America is speaking on not wanting her as president. Obama has already won close to half the states in America. Hillary will never win the popular vote in this election.

Quit with the bias media excuses. Just more nonsense from the losers locker room. The media isn't in voting booths at each state election. America is speaking and its sure isn't for Hillary.

SDunn   February 26th, 2008 9:37 am ET

Omgosh this party is so divided and I'm so turned off with Hillary's tactics and also her supporters. Shouldn't those of you who support Hillary stop the name calling of those of us who support Barack, so that if she wins the nomination, we will not be so turned off by her that we will not vote for your candidate in the general election? We are intelligent individuals just like yourselves who have chosen a candidate that we believe in. Also Obama has a huge following and if for some ridculous reason she wins the nomination I would think you would want our support. Hillary can not win the election without Obama's supporters. Stop the name calling because it's turning me off from your candidate's campaign.

Michigan Voter   February 26th, 2008 9:37 am ET

Hillary thinks she won Michigan? Well I guess when you are the only name on the ballot and there is no campaigning in the State, then you can claim a victory. Most Michigan Dems. did not even vote in our Primary because they knew their vote would not count. I'm sure the same holds true for Florida.
After next week , this mud-slinging will be done and the democratic nomination will be clear, Obama 08!!

Obama all the way!   February 26th, 2008 9:35 am ET

Michiel W   February 26th, 2008 9:34 am ET

The suggestion that anyone should drop out of the campaign at this point is absurd. The primaries go on into June. The difference between the 2 remaining candidates is not that large. Let the voters make the choice, not the media. People need to really research each candidate. Don't just rely on the hype, negative or positive. Both are politicians! Both receive support from lobbyists! Both have made negative comments about the other. Neither can walk on water. Do the research and make a choice based on that! Don't be a sheep.

John in Columbus, OH   February 26th, 2008 9:34 am ET

If there are any doubts about Hillary's orientation, this may shed some light.

Nice choice Hillary.

Ellie   February 26th, 2008 9:33 am ET

I'm an Ellen and Ellen's are usually well-balance, funny, truthful, sensible, down to earth...This is a gender issue actually, a women's issue for women, families, humanity...The good ole boys (including brother Barack) have had a long inning–Change it up, it is time and it'll be great for society–open the doors to all the other brilliant women!

Irving Rodriguez   February 26th, 2008 9:32 am ET

Hillary Clinton is the best choice to lead our country economically, and politically. She is capable and willing to make the necessary changes on day one. Mr. Wolf and Anderson Copper are my favoriate news reporters but, I have to say I'm disappointed with they bias reporting on the democratic race in favor of Obama. If you listen to the debates Hillary thinks outside the box and has the best answers for our country. Obama sounds like he's reading a script and sounds out of place or divert the question with a question of his own. Now, who is ready to be Commander-In-Chief on day one? Hillary Clinton. Why my opinion is valid? How about 24 years of military service in the United States Air Force, retired at a Chief Master Sergeant.

PDC   February 26th, 2008 9:32 am ET

Moe, Larry, the cheese!   February 26th, 2008 9:30 am ET

The only two ways the Democrats can win against McCain now, is to join forces. Hillary and Obama should run as a team once the nomination is sown up by either of them. An Obama/Hillary or Hillary/Obama ticket would be unbeatable. It all depends on their egos. The other possibility, is for Al Gore to run with one of them as Vice President. Otherwise, Nader has just handed the Presidency to the Republicans, again. Democrats, no matter what, don't vot for Nader.

President Obama   February 26th, 2008 9:30 am ET

sounds great doesn't it! Get used to it Shrillary Clintonites!

Nick   February 26th, 2008 9:30 am ET

So Obama has the heavy artillery, and Clinton counters that with a water balloon?

That's my analogy. Ellen's good, good show, good personality, and gay, so Clinton gets that special interest group, as if that's worked for her recently.
But Oprah is the King and Queen of daytime talkshows.

Gigi FL   February 26th, 2008 9:28 am ET

I'm shocked CNN would report a slight endorsement on behalf of Hillary. The past two endorsements they seemed to feel are just too good in her favor and of course the media couldn't have that.
Especially that of John Glenn, a former senator of OHIO, you know the state she's doing extremely well.

Allison, NH   February 26th, 2008 9:26 am ET

Funny, seems like just yesterday everyone was slamming Obama for Oprah's endorsement, and now we have Ellen signing on the Billary wagon?

The best part about this article is when they reiterated that Clinton couldn't even get her states right. Sadly, she threw Michigan in there and frankly...since the vote does not count, I'm not sure how or why she would add that state to her "win" list. Especially since she was the ONLY person on the ballot.

Every day Clinton reinvents herself...some days she's on the attack, the next she's kissing Obama's bama (last debate)...some day's she's a tiger and goes after her prey...the next she's crying to a bunch of people here in Nashua NH. Sounds to me like Clinton is not so stable, or her campaign has her torn in so many crazy directions – they are going to loose it for her.

dave, in calgary   February 26th, 2008 9:26 am ET

Neither Ellen nor Oprah has anything to offer by way of insight or intelligence. Obama accepts Oprah's support in the same way he accepts anybody's support – thank you, but no need to make a big deal of it. Clinton, on the other hand, gets all fired up like a little kid when Ellen pops into her life. Clinton does not have the capacity to hold herself in a "Presidential Manner". Bet she'd love to garner the endorsement of a Tickle-Me-Elmo doll also!! Composure, she doesn't have.

Will   February 26th, 2008 9:24 am ET

Well of course Clinton would make glitter illegal.

She talked to her daughter on TV as Chelsy grew up. She doesn't believe in fun.

Tom in Ohio   February 26th, 2008 9:24 am ET

To the person who mentioned the difference in delegates between the two is only 72 points: That includes both pledged and superdelegates; the pledged delegates are firmly placed and will not change- but those superdelegates are in fact "noncommitted." Hillary has about 70 more "tentatively pledged" superdelegates that are not guaranteed to her. So, a more accurate measurement would be to just look at the superdelegates- which Obama leads by over 100.

Also, was this a formal endorsement by Ellen? I recall her having Barack on her show a few weeks ago, and she was just as engaging with him. Anyway, best of luck to our Democratic party- we need to tke back the White House!

UnitedDemocrats   February 26th, 2008 9:24 am ET

Matt   February 26th, 2008 9:22 am ET

Where is this so called experience of Hillary's? She has 4 more years than Obama and she is much older. Being first lady is not an elected office. I don't care if Bill threw her some crap to keep her happy, that does not count as experience. If the American people wanted exprience Joe Biden would be the nominee. He was by far the best and the best hope for America. I didn't here all you Hillary supporters crying unfair media then. Why? Because she was getting her fair chance to speak and be heard (more so than the other candidates. It was her election to lose and she emploded. She can blame the media, sexism, or anything else, she just plain blew it and won;t take responsibility. I think if she or her husband took responsibility for anything they would be more credible. Same goes for her jaded following. If she was a man she would have been out w/ Biden and Dodd. Actually given her experience she would have not even made it that far.

She's not going to win over any voters by telling us we are delusional or are stupid for being idealistic. Hillary is arrogant and feels entitled to win. These are 2 qualities that make her unlikable.

ohio Dave   February 26th, 2008 9:21 am ET

go Hillary. Obama is a nut job. All hat and no cattle as we say in Texas

history   February 26th, 2008 9:21 am ET

Moderator, what happened to my post? I made a valid historical observation about two unknowns running for office during turbulent times. The point is simply that we may get the change promised, only we have no idea of what that change will be. Is is possible that we may get radical change, a state religion (tucc.org)? Are people really willing to close their eyes and roll the dice in order to elect a President? I feel that our future leader should be thoroughly vetted prior to achieving the highest office in this land. I do not believe that Obama has been properly investigated. Nobody can argue, that the Clintons have not been investigated enough. There is virtually nothing we don't know about them after the Clinto years and ensuing investigations surrounding them. I'll take the devil I know thank you, I'm not much of a gambler.

same old billary   February 26th, 2008 9:20 am ET

The "Obama lacks experience" thing has sunk her in the past and will continue to do so. Experience in DC equates to being schooled in the way to make backroom deals, exclude those who disagree with you and lining your pockets with "invisible" cash so you can be filthy rich when you decide to leave DC and write your memoirs.

Review American history and you will find that some of our most cherished presidents lacked experience in the DC politics. We need a fresh change from the same old crap Billary is feeding us.

If she gets the Dem nomination I vote AND CAMPAIGN for McCain because I see him as the lesser of 2 evils, once again.

GWB won the last 2 times by campaigning to specific large groups of voters, such as the evangelical right. Billary is just targeting her core group (or so she believes them to be her core group) of women, the elderly and blue collar workers (NOTE: She used to have the african-american vote too until her DA husband screwed up by opening his mouth again). Obama has no specific target group. He is very much like a Bobby Kennedy without the pedigree. Obama IS the best candidate left in this race.

John, Las Vegas, NV   February 26th, 2008 9:20 am ET

A "surprise appearance by video uplink" ? har de har har har Yeah, Ellen was just sitting around, happened to have the facilities available for a video uplink, decided to call Clinton, who lo and behold was holding a fundraiser, and had matching equipment on her end to receive the surprise appearance. C'mon. It was planned. Geez, can't Hillary be honest about anything. Any credibility this appearance had was wiped out by calling it a surprise appearance. And don't for a second think those questions weren't planned in advance between Ellen and Hillary.

Ellen Who?

Tricia   February 26th, 2008 9:17 am ET

Rendell has always been a friend of the Clintons and vice versa. Looking for the VP job maybe. I live in hs state, Pennsylvania and personally know of a small engineering company whose owners have worked hard to keep jobs here and succeeded. There were many times when the company could have been sold and the owners would have done well but they knew the workers' jobs would have been shipped to China. Rendell, Governor of Pennsylvania, was approached for help but seemed to show no interest. Even the Republicans in the area showed more interest! We owe him nothing, we owe Hillary nothing. We support Obama. The old politics cannot continue.

Clinton being endorsed by Ellen is no big deal, Oprah is a upstanding woman compared to Ellen who is on the Down-Low and disgracefull.

HILLARY GO GO GO!

kilroy   February 26th, 2008 9:14 am ET

It all came down to Florida in 2000, Gore lost the state by less than one thousand votes. Ralph Nader won over 95,000 votes that would have otherwise gone to Al Gore in 2000. Had Nader stayed out of it, the Presidency would have gone to Al Gore. Nader has just guaranteed the Presidency to McCain. Thanks again Nader, for dooming this country to another Republican adminstration. What is your motivation I wonder?

TJ   February 26th, 2008 9:13 am ET

What do you mean "Oprah who?" No one cares about Ellen, she's even worse than Hillary (i.e. crying over that dog on national television).

Percy F. Lage, Oklahoma   February 26th, 2008 9:12 am ET

J.T., if there were any doubt which way I would vote come test time, your piece of literary slop turned the trick for me. Nothing about health care, nothing about Iran, nothing about environmental protection, nothing about Iraq, nothing about veterans benefits, nothing about child care , nothing about any single issue that matters in the 21st century......just more vilification, calumny and "pi**ing contest" jargon. Like JFK, I still have hope that there is a better way; if JFK was naive, I am naive; I will not vote for your heroine.

Gideon Anifaleye   February 26th, 2008 9:12 am ET

I’m ashamed of CNN. For goodness sake why are you partisan? Why are you campaigning for Hillary Clinton? It’s really, really unfortunate. You have let down America! You have let down humanity!!

Jim Mackle - Phila. Pa.   February 26th, 2008 9:12 am ET

Ellen, When did Hillary become a women?

Claire, Austin, TX   February 26th, 2008 9:12 am ET

The Texas polls aren't looking so good. Texas already doesn't count. :)

Kyle - Austin, TX   February 26th, 2008 9:11 am ET

Wow, now she'll be able to tap into Obama's base of middle-aged white women...oh wait...

Ron   February 26th, 2008 9:10 am ET

I find it amusing, people call Obama a politician. Isn't Hillary one. Again, we have had lot of experience in our government. Look at Chaney, Rumsfeld, Lieberman, and all of the senators and congress who have been around for decades. What has all this experience accomplished? As far as the delegate count is concerned, look at the elected delegate count and do not include super delegates. Obama has approximately a 150 delegate lead. That is in the 12 to 14% range. Also the super delegates are starting to support Obama and Hillary is losing some of hers. Look at Chris Dodd today endorsing Obama. Lets stop the negative and get behind the candidate the majority of the party wants.

larry   February 26th, 2008 9:10 am ET

Hillary didn't vote for the Iraq war because she was lied to...she voted for it because she didn't read the report ....She wasn't doing her job. She voted for that war for political reasons..Bush didn't trick her or lie to her...and as a Senator why did she rely on Bush for information...she could have informed herself. I'm not in the senate but I knew it was a stupid vote to invade a country that has done nothing to us and was not a threat to us..That crap that she was lied to is a fairy tale....I don't care if you support Hillary but don't come of with that stupid argument that she vote to send young men and women to die because she was lied to...what kind of judgement does that show.

From DC   February 26th, 2008 9:08 am ET

I was there last night with my kindergartener. The whole auditorium rocked during the whole event, especially when Ellen had a surprising showup. I was amazed how much the people loved Hilary there.

Pete   February 26th, 2008 9:08 am ET

Hillary's claiming victory in two states that the party agreed not to count is just proving the point that she will do and say anything to get elected.

I wonder what she would think about MI and FL delegates had she managed to lose those states. hmmm.

CLINTONs = dirty, thieving politicians   February 26th, 2008 9:08 am ET

Anybody else smell a Clinton backroom bribery and thievery coming?

I am not party affiliated because of hacks like the Clintons. She is psychotic but what can you expect when she is married to pathologic liar?

Amy   February 26th, 2008 9:08 am ET

Wow, it never ends. Everyday Hill Bill is in the news for something else. Now Ellen is jumping into the mix? Geez, it's obvious that Ellen is voting for the candidate that's most like herself. So now that we've heard from the great political mind of Ellen, I guess we should all change our minds and start supporting Hillary? We want change in Washington, that's why we're supporting Obama. If we wanted a candidate that changes daily with all sorts of flip flopping demeanors, who can't run a well funded campaign without going broke, can't control her husband and basically attacks someone who's not attacking her...then Hillary is still the candidate for those kinds of people. Personally, I want an even tempered President. I want a president that can take personal attacks like this everyday from enemies and still be gracious in offering an olive branch to his foes. Obama has been nothing but that. He will bring us back to a good standing in the world. You need a calm hand at the wheel for that and we've all seen his calm demeanor. I do not trust Hillary's "rage-a-holic" stance in the face of adversity. You can't go into Europe, China, Japan, Africa, the Middle East with that kind of nervous "I'm losing this battle...better start getting loud" attitude. Hillary will be worse than Bush overseas if she's going to act this way about little Barack Obama besting her.

Bill Clinton   February 26th, 2008 9:07 am ET

Ellen, do you have a blue dress?

Val   February 26th, 2008 9:07 am ET

This is absolutely silly...are Clinton supporters actually taking this as a serious and professional endorsement???
Nothing against Ellen, but let's take a "reality check".....
she's a C O M E DI A N !

It would be like Obama supporters thinking they had the nomination in the bag because Sinbad decided to back him.

Sam   February 26th, 2008 9:06 am ET

Ellen? Yea...

anyways..If she gets Michigan to count and wins that way, I wonder how many decades it will take to get young people interested in politics again.

And just to say one thing, I have no problem voting for a woman, just not Hillary. I think many people feel the same way I do.

Pantsuit   February 26th, 2008 9:06 am ET

History   February 26th, 2008 9:06 am ET

People keep saying that things are so bad in this country that we need a change. I hear people say, "so what if Obama has no real accomplishments to speak of, and his platform is difficult to nail down, we need change". Some even say that it is worth it to take a chance on an unknown in the name of "change". Sloganism, rhetoric, sweeping speaches, and chants. Remember, in the 1930's Germany was in very tough times. People elected a leader from an unknown background, who made sweeping speaches, got crowds to chant his slogans. He had the best speach writers. They got change all right. Remember, be careful what you ask for, you just might get it. Sometimes the devil you know is better than the devil you don't. Watch out for buzzwords, they can be harmful.

Beth from TX   February 26th, 2008 9:05 am ET

Obama is the Future!

I don't worry about Obama's experience level as much as some, because even BILL CLINTON didn't have that much experience when I voted for him. And he turned out to be o.k.

Obama is going to make to the White House whether any of you Hillary voters like it or not !!

She has proven to be part of the discomforting feeling I have when I think about all the dirty games that people play when it comes to Politics. She has proven that she will try to do whatever it takes to win, even if it makes her look bad.

How do you really think Iraq, and Pakistan will feel if a Woman ever becomes President? They aren't ready for a Woman telling them what to do, when they don't even respect the Women in their own Country – GET REAL PEOPLE !!

IT'S A NEVER ENDING WAR WITH HER IN OFFICE IN SO MANY COUNTRIES !!

She won't even be humble enough to say, YES, I will meet with my enemies ...... THE SAME BULLY TACTICS THAT BUSH USED AND THAT CREATED THE WAR WE ARE CURRENTLY IN FOR NO OBVIOUS REASON – OTHER THAN, I AM A BULLY !!

Hillary can just go back to New Jersey, or wherever she is from and continue to do that same job she has been doing because this Country doesn't want her, and neither do any other Countries want her.

BYE BYE TO THE PAST, AND HELLO TO THE FUTURE !!!!!!!!!

OBAMA – YES WE CAN – YES WE CAN – YES WE REALLY CAN !!!!!!!!!!!!

Ken, Highland, Illinois   February 26th, 2008 9:04 am ET

Maybe Ellen can steal a puppy for her so she can cry about it. Its about time for Hillary to show some tactical emotion isn't it?

JT   February 26th, 2008 9:03 am ET

Mac, Detroit MI   February 26th, 2008 9:02 am ET

She did not "win" Michigan. No one of repute was on the ballot, except for her. It's easy to win a fight when you don't have an opponent.

Good for you, though, Hillary! Man! Great job! Pat yourself on the back for that one! Woo!

Mark - Queens   February 26th, 2008 9:01 am ET

I support Hillary, but if she loses, he pretty much is going to be the President. I can't wait for the day after inauguration day. It will be a rude awakening. God help us.

javier   February 26th, 2008 9:01 am ET

Weren't there many rumours while Hillary was in the White House that she was a Lesbian herself?? Not that there is anything wrong with it.

Kramer   February 26th, 2008 9:00 am ET

The title surely would be better as "Ellen who?"
I mean, REally?
Who cares and listens to Ellen? Her crying about a freakin' DOG adoption was just Britneyesque. She may be a nice gal/guy, but I'm sure I know why she's voting for a woman president, even tho' Hillary would be even more dangerous for our country's unity than GWBush has been.
Thanks but no thanks, Mr. Degenerate.

Anna, IL   February 26th, 2008 9:00 am ET

Sue, the world is watching? You bet they are, and they support Obama.

I don't understand how a rational person can support Hillary Clinton. Some of the comments from Hillary supporters are just amazing. They seem to sincerely believe that Hillary has actually run a positive campaign, or they must be in denial. In either case, it's scary.

mike   February 26th, 2008 8:59 am ET

Now she is scrapping the bottom of the barrel. Who will she ask for next Rosie??? What a joke

Tafoya A. Hubbard   February 26th, 2008 8:59 am ET

@the truth I think NOT!!!! Why is it when Black support Obama its only because he is black ?? The man is BRILLIANT!! Whenever blacks come together (which I must admit is rare in our community which is sad to me) its always a problem but whites have run this country and looked out for their own for YEARS and its never been a problem thats just how it was and is. So please don't try to act like Barack is not qualified to be President he has more elected yrs in service and I do NOT and I repeat do NOT owe the Clintons or any other man anything including my vote. So you offically stand corrected now. Be blessed!

Petra - Alexandria, Verginia   February 26th, 2008 8:58 am ET

Hey Jason,
You just said it, two months ago, that is before all the caucuses and primaries took off!
When put to the real test, what "The Truth" mentioned earlier could be the truth, blacks overwhelmingly voted for Obama. Simple!

LegalDivan   February 26th, 2008 12:18 am ET

Hillary does believe in CHANGE! The fact that she keeps changing her losing message to another losing message to another losing message to another losing message to another losing message...But I do have to give it to her! At least unlike W. Bush, she can at least recognize if a course of action is not working, I just wish she could do it honest without the attacks...

I vote for Obama in the early election here in Texas and will stand-up in the caucus on March 4th @ 7:00 p.m. for him again...I was torn between him and Hillary, because they both seek many of the same things, each just has their own method of achieving it, but the change of rhetoric by Clinton to a negative stance sealed my vote for Obama!

HERE'S A WORD FOR HILLARY ...IF YOU EXPECT ME TO BELIEVE YOU CAN BRING ABOUT CHANGE...THEN CHANGE HOW YOU RUN FOR OFFICE!

snakebaby   February 26th, 2008 12:17 am ET

Just compare Devel Patrick and Obama side by side, you know the answer! Devel: All about talk and words when he was running for governor, so inspirational, people fell for it with "hope" in their mind and heart and they were chanting, exactly like what has been happening with Obama in this election. But he never brought us any hope or change, it's all same old here! Obama: speeches and rallies in much larger scale, people again behave the same as those for Devel. They either naively believe Obama WILL deliver the change and hope once elected or the better case simply would give him a chance to prove (which is not too bad). But what do you really see in front of you when you compare these two candidates little harder? This is all about campaign strategies, do these strategies represents anything? Maybe, but surely just a little. Think about it!

trout_man10   February 26th, 2008 12:17 am ET

Sharon,
You are right Obama is NOT so different as he would like us to think.
I really dislike all that is Clinton, smear and destroy all who oppose them. But, Obama is not as much different as I wish he were.
Also, fear for Isreal with Obama in the White House. he may not be JFK.. he may be Jimmy Carter and that is scary.

we3-4Obama   February 26th, 2008 12:17 am ET

There is a big difference between dirty attack campaigns and stating truths. Hillary is the one who is consistently dragging Barack's name through the mud and distorting truths. As far as I'm concerned, the reason she has resorted to these tactics is because she knows she can't beat him in a fair, respectful campaign. I don't know one "untruth" that Obama has said about Hillary, so if anyone can fill me in there, please do so.

Once upon a time I thought I would be proud to see her as President, but now I see that she is just like the rest of the OVERLY experienced politicians. I would chose McCain over her at this point.
If you want a democrat in office, vote Obama! McCain doesn't stand a chance against him.

Rob   February 26th, 2008 12:16 am ET

There is a process for all this laid out in the rules. Let's see them through AND let's see more balanced converage in the way of commentary for both candidates equally. If Obama jabs Clinton, then it's a jab and vice versa.

Sharon Boyce   February 26th, 2008 12:16 am ET

Carol   February 26th, 2008 12:09 am ET

Obama's momentum is nothing but a straight luck. Once his momentum reaches the climax, everything for Obama will go down hill into the pits. Hopefully he won't get elected because if his momentum doesn't burst until he becomes the president, we are going to go through another 4 years of THE BUSH AGE.

Connie   February 26th, 2008 12:08 am ET

The best evidence of Obama’s readiness to lead the nation is the ability with which he has run for president. After all, what is more difficult, complicated, or challenging than getting elected president? What other life experience better illustrates one’s qualification to hold the office than a manifest skill in seeking it. For anyone who has ever been elected president, the race that sent them to the White House was the single most important event in their lives and dwarfs any other experience they might have had before running.

Sammy James   February 26th, 2008 12:08 am ET

Ellen who...?!

Wow. Nobody cares. Really. We have all had it with these stupid "celebrity endorsements." Not even most Obama fans care that Oprah ONCE supported him. It isn't a big deal anymore.

Now the campaigns are in full-swing, and what people care about NOW are the ISSUES. Let it go, Hillary. Do you want butter or jam? It doesn't matter, because you are TOAST Mrs. Clinton.

why are people suggesting that hillary to exist now he is only 72 delegate ahead of her no one knows the outcome of march 4 yet you will be surprised . why is all this disrespect of her you guys makes me sick all Obama fallowers are bunch of kids who doesn't think about tomorrow just for today . The media is exteremly bias that is why they don't put out any message unless it is pro of Obama.

sk   February 25th, 2008 11:45 pm ET

I doubt that CNN will post this, they don't like reason against Obama.

It's not that Hillary supporters are refusing the message of hope and inspiration, it's just that we don't think he can deliver. Yes I have been to his website but, I have also seen his voting record. The fact of the matter is as President of the US you can't vote present or simply not vote. Not to mention the President alone can't make the staggering changes in Washington that he talks about. Do you honestly think "we" will be any more involved in government processes than we are now if he is President? I'll answer it in case you don't know. No, we won't be our role is to elect leaders and representatives. If we have a problem, we write to our congressperson, senator or whoever represents us for the situation at hand. That is the process, and unless you want riots, chaos and a non functioning government it is not going to change.
By the way I am 32, have always voted democrat and will vote for Hillary when it is my states turn to vote.

Ken   February 25th, 2008 11:40 pm ET

I agree with what "The Truth" said. This compaign is so racially divided even though it's so hard to face the ugly reality. Unfortuately, it's truth when you got 90% of African America vote for Obama who has not done much for people except those exciting words, what conclusion you can draw honestly ?

A true Freudian slip, Hillbilly will loosen Texas. Now, come on Ohio! Make it 13 victories in a row.

Obama 08!

Raymond Ito   February 25th, 2008 11:24 pm ET

People forget the GONE WITH THE WIND-type of politics Hillary is championing. Anywhere the wind of popular opinion blows that's where you'll find her. Remember the war and NAFTA?
In NH she said: "I found my voice" but a few hours later it was the voice of old Bill we heard everywhere. The "Billary" factor will continue to work against her because ANYTHING WITH TWO HEADS IS A MONSTER! and a monstrous "experience' is not needed in the White House by the American people.

pamco   February 25th, 2008 11:24 pm ET

if i were you hillary, i will be nice ex first lady that i was, calm gentle, and seeking for more love, than more work, men are no good for anything else except work, let them, what ever you want to do for the people you could still do at your own will, like your bill said, he had more time to accomplish more things on his own than when he was in the whitehouse. there is no need for you to live in the white house twice, while some of us are not even close to their dinner table.

Maria Jamison   February 25th, 2008 11:23 pm ET

Why I would like to know is, how does a man who does not salute our flag get to run for president...............And why has no one brought this up.

that is a shame and someone should raise this question to him
and more of the news media telling our America about it
Thank you

And why are you all feeling sorry for Obama not putting his name on the ballot in Michigan. I view that as a strategic error by their campaign. When conducting the caucuses in every state, which they completely manipulated, the Obama folks live by the quote 'well everyone knew how a caucus was going to be run so all is fair'. Well then I guess all was fair in Michigan!

I don't think so Opra.....and I agree with Kirk from Michigan I want my vote to count here in Florida as well. Yes we can what? Enough of all that feel good crap! Come on back to earth folks we have a country that needs more than sing-song preaching!!!!!

important to the uninformed, media fed ,naive voter dolts out there who don't remember or know history......we need Gloria Berger and the other Obamapuns on CNN
to tell us what to think about the first intelligent, decent, strong woman who ever ran for president . Don't buy it, America! Hillary is the one!
Why would anyone put themselves out there for so much abuse?
She must really love this country and want to serve the people ("folks") who love it too. I pray that God gives her the strength to go on, despite the hostile O'bamapuns.
I will never vote for O if nominated by the pundents ! McCain will be the first Republican presidential candidate I'll vote for in my life. At

Hillary won Michigan by only 15 points. Obama nd Edwards did the right thing and took their names off the ballot. Even though they did this, Hillary ONLY beat Mr. Uncommitted by 15 measly points. If she wants to call that a victory, then so be it. But really, who is she kidding? MSNBC did an exit poll that day and found that 73 percent of the people who voted for Sen. Uncommitted would have voted for Obama had his name been on the ballot.

Diana . . . I didn't know Black people was suppose to vote in a bloc? I thought they were like every other category, vote for who you want to win. What is this USC VS LSU? If the Black people voted for Obama, you know, umm, maybe, just maybe, they did because they just WANTED TO. This is the generational problem, we were taught that we should vote for whomever we want, not how our parents told us to vote. If McCain was not for sending me to war in IRAQ for oil, and my kids (if I ever have any), then I would vote for him. It's ALL about choice without cohersion. Not to be made to feel as if our thoughts are stupid because we are young.

bemused   February 25th, 2008 10:29 pm ET

The last time I voted for a candidate who promised to unite the country, to work across the aisle with the other party and who claimed to be a new kind of politician who wasn't a Washington insider –I got George W. Bush!

I at least learned my lesson, an inexperienced, "nice" guy who makes big promises isn't getting my vote for president again.

I actually really like Senator Clinton, and although I'm starting to lean towards voting for Senator Obama if he is the nominee, I have a great deal of discomfort about his experience level. I also think he has been promising much more than he can deliver, and it has become increasingly apparent that he plays the same political games all the other candidates do - he just hasn't been called on them yet. With time, I wonder if his popularity will start to fade - this whole Obamamania thing is getting a little creepy. One can't help but wonder why so many of his followers spread so much poison on all the blogs - there seems to be a disconnect between his message and the message of his followers.

Frank   February 25th, 2008 10:26 pm ET

Thomas One   February 25th, 2008 10:26 pm ET

According to CNN.com:

Obama: 1,327 delegates
Clinton: 1,255 delegates

That is a diff of 72 delegates, about 5% in percentage. Why should either side give up now? I really don't see the reason. Perhaps someone would say: "Look at the momentum! Obama's got momentum", then let me ask you a question: after Super Tue., clearly Clinton overran Obama and got the momentum as well, why people didn't ask Obama to give up? It is strange.

I think neither should be counted out before PA voters make their decision.

Even Ellen can't make Hillary come across as being funny and genuine, she has spent too much time in Washington. Honestly, I don't understand why so many people are so opposed to the hope and inspiration that Obama brings to the table. He has worked hard to overcome adversity and make a real difference in this world. In him, we all see the potential that is the American Dream – that each person can reach for the stars. Experience, how much more can Obama have? His whole life is a resume filled with the right kind of experience. The more we get to know him, the more people are voting for him and coming out to vote – that can't be said about Hillary.

It's about time we had a President that gets people involved in poliics again and gives the people hope. He will bring honor back to the States.

Peter   February 25th, 2008 10:25 pm ET

Standing from the sidelines on the other side of the Pacific I worry as I watch the Democratic nomination race progress. It seems that Americans are forsaking a very experienced and competent candidate in Hillary Clinton, for a very inexperienced candidate in Barak Obama. While I can understand the desire for "change" after eight years under an President who appears to be incompetent, I wonder if picking another novice is a great idea. The main reason I believe that choosing Obama is a mistake is that modern Presidents have been able to do very little policy wise in mainland America because congress is so intransifent, and instead end up concentrating on Foreign policy. On that count I'd rather have Hillary than Barack.

John, Athens, Alabama   February 25th, 2008 10:24 pm ET

Hillary, it don't take just a good ole southern boy to know you are head and shoulders with knowledge above your oponent. Show him who is the "comeback girl" in Texas and Ohio, and march all the way too 1600 PA AV.
You go LADY CLINTON.

Jenna   February 25th, 2008 10:24 pm ET

The only chance to beat Obama is to nullify the American voter's decision by schmoozing the super delegates. That's a democratic society?! We vote, but it won't count if the super delegates are polled for their input. Also, how can she run a country with such an indebtedness around the world when she can't even regulate a few million dollars for her own campaign without running out of money and overextending herself? I have no confidence at all in her.

Ann   February 25th, 2008 10:24 pm ET

There is no comparison – Hillary is by far the best. She is a strong
tough woman who will be a great President. Our country is
in a terrible mess- We cannot take a chance with an inexperienced candidate. Go Hillary!!

earl illingsworth   February 25th, 2008 10:23 pm ET

I don't understand why Ellen or Oprah are significant, except that one of them (you guess) is a "Billionaire"? Both appeal to younger and older women, married or single, with only one of them (you guess) marketing to "Ten Million Plus Eyeballs" daily? But, with politics being politics today, and money being an issue for Hillary, Ellen can surely help out on the low octane fill-er upper. Oh, and by the way, Ellen is very witty and humorous, something that could/should take the edge off , for the time being.

NowYouKnow ...   February 25th, 2008 10:23 pm ET

Hillary Clinton's chief strategist is MARK PENN. Charlie Black, John McCain's top adviser, is chairman of BKSH, the DC-based lobbying subsidiary of Burson-Marsteller - of which MARK PENN is CEO.

Yes, this is the same lobbyist Barack Obama was referring to when he criticized John McCain for allowing lobbyists to conduct their business on board his bus.

BKSH is a bipartisan lobbying firm. Black, the chairman is the top Republican. The top Democrat is R. Scott Pastrick, who like Penn, supports Hillary Clinton.
Both the Clinton and McCain campaigns are run by the same lobbyshop!

Fun should be an important part of campaign.

Bad economic news are coming out this week - one by one. Which candidate has better solutions? Please, your own solutions and policy. Voters, choose wisely.

CNN stops being biased, please expose every side of each candidate.

Janel, St. Paul, MN   February 25th, 2008 10:18 pm ET

Good for Ellen to support the candidate of her choice. It is not one that I agree with but I respect her right as an American.

One of the main reasons I support Barack Obama is because his campaign has been conducted honorably. I haven't seen any "personal" attacks on Senator Clinton come from the Obama camp.

However, almost since the day the Clinton's realized that Obama posed a serious threat to their candidacy, there has been one unfair attack after another. And. . .in my humble opinion. . .their negativity has hurt rather than helped their efforts which seen ti grow more desperate each day.

I'm not a fool who is following a "rock star," as some Clintonians suggest. I've read Senator Obama's issue statements, and yes, I hear his voice. It is a voice of reason. He will bring a new sense of pride to Americans and a sense of hope to the world.

Shauna   February 25th, 2008 10:17 pm ET

Clinton is the fighter. She is the one that will fight for the people. She is the one that knows how to make the changes she talks about happen. Obama has been leading a dirty campaign and the media need to wake up and smell the coffee. He is not the choice for America. He hasn't got a clue on how to make the changes he talks about happen.

Grif   February 25th, 2008 10:16 pm ET

Nel   February 25th, 2008 10:15 pm ET

Hillary still doesn't understand she is totally to blame for the way people are turned off by her. When will she get it that people just cannot stand her attacks against another Democrat. I adored Bill Clinton and respected Hillary until she started her negative campaigning. I don't think I could vote for her if she wins the nomination. It's a pity 'cause there are so many Democrats who feel just the way I do. Right now, she is worse than the Republicans; actually John Mccain seems more civil.

Diana   February 25th, 2008 10:15 pm ET

I will not vote for Obama, I am a 56 year old Black woman who is not impressed or fooled by him. I am so disapointed in the way other Blacks are voting. "if you forget your history, you will repeat it" they are nullifying the Black vote. I am prayiing and pulling for Hillary.
She voted for the Iraq War because she was lied to like the rest of America by Bush & Cheney while they where scaring us every day with the different color codes.
It is going to take a while to correct the mess Bush has made. I want someone in office who knows what they are doing.
CNN & MSNBC are prejudice against Hillary in their comments and time allowed on air for her campaign.
How can Obama say that he does not represent Washington's establishment with the likes of Kennnedy on his team; someone who cannot or should not ever – ever discuss the personal lives of anyone.
It is amazing when one of the Obama's slip-up when making a statement, the bias media immediately tells us what they meant to say.

kathy   February 25th, 2008 10:14 pm ET

I would love for the media to ask Obama the same hard questions as they ask Hillary, but you won't hear a hard question ask to Obama . because he will say they are useing race agianst him. Obama won't last people will get so sick of him, and they will impeach him.

ilforobama   February 25th, 2008 10:14 pm ET

Well she's back to talking about Michigan which won't get seated and seems to have an arrogant head still about the two states that she has now fallen back in... losing by 2 pts in Texas now and Obama within 11 in Ohio from 21. Sounds like she's pretty sure she's won them and even more sure that Michigan will get seated as it is. If they do crooked politics and seat Mich and Florida as they stand, I'm not going to be a democrat anymore. Ellen isn't anything in comparison to Oprah. Also, I don't think that the cheers from the women comment came because they were cheering for Hillary but because they were cheering for women as a whole.

A few questions to consider

1. Why hasnt John Edwards endorsed Obama? Edwards sees through the phony Obama

2. Why does Obama think he is the best president after Abe Lincoln? Has this country been mis-governed for 140 years?

3. Do we need to fix our American souls to solve our Mortgage Crisis and keep Jobs?

4. How can OBAMA be trusted with our future and children if he voted "Present" to a bill prohibiting Adult Stores in a School Zone in Illinois?

Note: To the youth, remember an informed decision goes a long way,
a calculated decision saves you in the end, but a peaceful life comes only with the right decision. It might be right to be swept away in a sea of change, but as an informed voter it is your duty to give America an experienced and hard-working President with a Strong sense of Unwavering Commitment.

I am partial to leaders of the hard-working people. CLINTON-EDWARDS '08

cherish   February 25th, 2008 10:09 pm ET

Yes, JT, Obama supporters are the ones who are delusional, because as your candidate has suggested, the prospects of a bright future in America are absolutely dismal, right?

Clinton supporters are delusional. While your candidate is off screaming her head off into microphones, (very presidential) making false charges, and being a bona fide lunatic, check into her ACTUAL credentials. 35 years of experience? Yes, 35 years of experience, which includes defending crushing corporate giants like Wal-Mart and pillars of upright citizenship like child rapists, and being absolutely obliterated in a ill-advised push for healthcare and letting Dubya trick her into voting for the deaths of thousands of American men and women of arms. When she asks you to inquire, "Where's the beef?" You should be asking her.

Why do all Clinton voters also ignore the fact that she wants to fight to seat the delegates from FL and MI, even though she is quoted as saying those states didn't matter, and she agreed entirely to the arrangement that they wouldn't be seated?? She used bad judgment, like she ALWAYS does, and now she wants to go back on it, like she ALWAYS does, now that her decision didn't work out for her. Clinton supporters, are indeed delusional if they think their candidate isn't willing to say or do anything to win (or steal) this election. Support her all you want, but make peace with that fact.

CNN, I will be so disappointed if you ignore my comment.

Hillary, in the eyes of many you have already won! To go up against the male establishment, the African-American establishment and the guilt of a white America that's trying to unload the guilt from decades of racism, is a monumental feat only a woman of faith, steel, grace, integrity and the love of country can accomplish in your special way. And, all this in the face of an opponent who subtly instigates racism, who is unscrupulous in his attacks of you, and who is dishonest, calculating politician.

What an accomplishment!

Jason   February 25th, 2008 10:08 pm ET

Hillary didn't win Michigan. She is trying to get delegates for states to count when the candidates weren't even allowed to campaign there. Just another one of the dirty tactics.

Youthful Voter   February 25th, 2008 10:08 pm ET

In Rendell's defense of his unbelievable statement that Obama does not have a lock on the youth vote, it all depends on how you define "youth". I guess if you say it's 70 and under it's not necessarily a "lock" for Obama. However, if we're talking the 18-40 crowd, it's not even close. Obama would have to raise tuition at all public and private schools by at least $10k to lose that vote...

The truth   February 25th, 2008 10:00 pm ET

The media wants Obama to win and refuses to say anything negative about the guy. They will pounce all over Hillary and Bill every chance they get. I thought we had made more progress in this great nation of ours, but so far the truth has shown through brightly. It is impossible for Hillary to debate Obama or for Bill to make a speech because if they say boo to Obama then they are racists. That is a bunch of bologna. Bill and Hillary Clinton have fought hard for African-Americans for years and then they get this kind of treatment? When you see African-Americans turning out for Obama in percentages over 90 percent to 10 percent for Hillary it shows that an overwhelming majority of African-Americans are looking at skin color instead of the issues. There is not a 90-10 percent difference in Obama and Hillary on the "issues". Unfortunately it appears that racism still exists today, but it is African-Americans that are doing the majority of it. This country has laughed at and mocked and said almost anything imaginable about the caucasian male, but that is always overlooked. It is widely thought by the majority of African-Americans that it is impossible to discriminate against the caucasian race, but unfortunately it happens constantly. I HAVE THE HIGHEST DEGREE OF RESPECT FOR DR.MARTIN LUTHER KING! He was a great man! In no way though did his dream include reverse discrimination. Like myself, he believed in equality for EVERYONE REGARDLESS OF YOUR SKIN COLOR OR RACE. Hopefully we as a nation will achieve that dream one day. GOD BLESS!

HRC's campaign strategy of making her appear to be a victim because she is female is a huge injustice to the cause of women and will set back the women's equality cause decades. Claiming to be victimized is a cowards way out of running a poor campaign. Thankfully, I am convinced that Obama will not hold this against women and will prove to be a great advocate for equality and advancement of capable, confident women who do not feign abuse when questions of their competence are raised. Shame on you Hillary!

JT   February 25th, 2008 9:47 pm ET

The Clinton campaign needs to find a way to humanize Obama. Right now, he is All Things to All People. And, yes, I do think his supporters are delusional.

People are protective of Obama because they've built him up so much.

I think she does need to focus on his lack of experience. Those of us who've worked on campaigns know what a "community organizer" is: an idealistic, inexperienced young person willng to work long hours for little pay. It's not a management position, despite the fancy title he had. Keeping mailing lists and knocking on doors qualifies him to be president?

Do Americans know what his real experience is? That he got elected because his opponents dropped out? That he was the heir apparent personally selected by his predessesor for his Illinois senate seat? That he only actually worked as an attorney for a few years?

What about the company he keeps? Rezko – un indictment for a host of felony charges related to influence peddling, set to go on trial this week and the man who helped Obama buy his expensive house. His pastor – a man he's claimed to be close to who has his own close ties to Farrakhan. Richard Daley – of the infamous Chicago Daleys. George Soros – Republican bugaboo and billionaire who sees himself as a Democratic kingmaker. Maybe Democrats don't want to think about this but the Republicans will. It won't be pretty.
