Ann, Hillary's agenda is the same as Obama's except that she wants to mandate that everyone buy health care -- which is far less "moderate" than Obama's plan. I do not begrudge you your sour grapes in the waning days of Sen. Clinton's failed bid, I'm sure it stings. I just hope you and the rest of the "I'd rather have Mccain than Obama" Hillary supporters come to your senses and get over yourselves before November. Do you think that Clinton would prefer Mccain over Obama? Come on, lets "get real."

It's obvious from the dozens of blogs referring to Huckabee that either CNN is censoring most of the favorable ones from appearing here or we have proof that the media's game is working. That is, those who are poking fun of Mike have not examined his record nor know the facts of his platform nor have been accurately informed on his hugely successful years as Governor. The media has told America that Mike doesn't matter (i.e. millions of Americans' votes don't matter), and the only ones really getting all the free coverage are the Democrats. Even McCain wouldn't be in the news if Mike threw in the towel now. Today's news is getting mighty stale. Everyone - Democrats and Republicans - would benefit from a good Republican
debate. Is McCain afraid of the challenge?

Dang.... This is one hateful world! I can't believe the hate comments that are on this blog. Huckabee said on an interview one time when asked about Bill Clinton, "Whatever you may think about the man and his morals, you have to admire someone that came from a nobody in a disfunctional home, to rise to president of the United States." He has treated your "gods" with respect. At least you can be respectful back. Can we possibly start acting like a more civilized people PLEASE. Or please stay off of the blogs. This should be place to
dis-cuss issues, not "just cuss".

Does Huckabee know anything about the current health care cost in America at all? we are currently spending 1.3 trillion dollars on health care and still have 47 million people uninsured. first of all which aspect of healthcare is this $287 billion he's talking about covering? Regardless this is peanuts compared to total healthcare budget. I like you huckabee, by these irrelevant comments are not welcome and maybe you should worry about raising more money for your irrelevant campaign

Democrats are raising taxes on gasoline to pay for the health care, etc. We can drive less or get bicycles!! Tax the oil companies and they will just stick a dollar on a gallon. Politicians own stock in oil companies, Ted Kennedy and Bush. Wake up! All politicians are crocked- we're just working grunts that pay taxes. Talk is cheap.

McCain and Huckabee are starting to go after Obama for one reason. They know that if Hillary is the nominee the Republicans will chew her up and spit her out and they can't wait. However, if Obama gets the nomination it will be much tougher for them to win the White House.

Huckabee what is wrong with you? after you and your cronies (Bush and company,) spent (and is still spending) billions on the stupid, dumb and costly Iraq war? how can you possibly attack Obama on his wanting to spend 287 billion on the needs and necessities of Americans, maybe you and Bush and co. will want to relocate to Iraq after this dumb, stupid and senseless war is over? (WMD's)? HaHa!
Americans cannot be fooled twice!

For a bunch of people to follow a candidate that claims "vertical politics" you guys sure aren't very uplifting. It seems to me that Obama is as fake as all his followers. They chide Huckabee for believing in miracles and being a joke, they tear down Hillary and plague people with spam about her and then Barack accuses the President of causing Al Queda to enter Iraq.

"Vertical"... I don't think you guys know which way is up.

I LOVE i mean I LOVe hearing people on here claim to be Democrats but say they will never vote for Obama. Hogwash. What you are is a bunch of Republicans who wont get the votes to keep the WHite House so you pretend to be Dems who wont support Obama. Most Democrats will support Hillary OR Obama depending on the nomination. Sure we will debate and argue now, but when push comes to shove in the general election, John McCain is going to get landslided by epic proportions. Primary voting is 2 to 1 democrat over Repubs. See the only way republicans can say anything on these blogs is to claim to be a democrat. Claim all you want, talk all you want people. Hillary or Obama will be the next president of the United States. Oh and by the way it might be news to you Repubs, Ummm I think it may be possible that Obama knows that Al Queda exists/....You word parsing Dummies.

pipe dream February 28th, 2008 7:58 pm ET

You obamacats are believing in a pipe dream. Do you seriously think obama can make college tuition affordable? Protect this country from terrorists? How quickly the public is so easily swayed by obama because he can speak well. Get real people. College will cost more, taxes will go up, and we'll have terrorist camps in our own country under barack hussein obama. Open your eyes and ears people.

There are states that pay the tuition of all students, regardless of need, as long as they have the grades. At least, OBAMA, puts a condition that they have work for it.

Whew, thank goodness he did mention the middle name. I like Mike, don't necessarly like his platfrom. Obama hasn't the foggest idea how to handle Iraq. His biggest deal is to keep saying he did not vote to go to Iraq. There weren't any Al Qaeda in Iraq until Bush/Cheney went there. That is beside the point now, we are there regardless of how we got there. To just keep saying Bush got us there, Bush got us there, Bush got us there. People cheer when he says that. What is his plan to get us out? I would like to hear something besides how we got there. We all know that.

Les,
You'll never see Canadians getting crazy about their leaders the way Americans do. Look at the Obama rallies, its like those people are under drugs. Canadians are more rational people because they are coming from all over the world so they understand global issues better. As a result, they think when they vote. And their leaders know their electorate and don't make stupid mistakes. That's why Canadians are respected everywhere in the world.

Lots of you dems are buying into Obama's hope and promise. How do you think he will fund free health care for every American? Even if he stops the war and tax the top1% of riches it still won't be able to cover free health care, college tuition, and the big government he's going to create. If it's doable wouldn't you think it would have been done during the Clinton's years? I for one wouldn't want to pay more tax than already am and that's exactly why i am voting for Huckabee.

Huckabee is right about about the cost of the Obama proposals. Does he (Obama) really think Americans will fall for his unrealistic rhetoric?

America fell for "Iraq flew planes into the Twin Towers." So, Americas capacity to believe in any manner of UNREALISTIC RHETORIC!

MEL February 28th, 2008 5:27 pm ET

To Hucakabee: what is your proposal for health care for those who can't afford it, and for students who can't afford college?

It is easy to criticize, but difficult to come up with solutions. I guess, these areas are too difficult for you to address sensibly.

The answer is Jesus!

Yeah, this is what we need; more solid Republican Math. Let's ..Cut Taxes and Explode Spending! and throw a stupid war on top at 1Trillion. What Obama is talking about is easily doable with basic math, he will just have different priorities.

And Tim, Obama is getting great coverage on occasion because he is a great candidate running circles arround Hillary and her team. They just can't take it because they are sooooooooo...experienced!!

That is completely false. Obama never promised to pave the streets with gold. he only claimed that there would be the POTENTIAL for doing so. Huckabee needs to stop putting words in his mouth.

What a surprise, Obama's supporters are not ready to listen his full name, it is hoped Obama will make them understand and will clear his position, because tomorrow he has to take oath with his full name being an elected president of United States of America, then it will not be an explosion for the supporters.

Obama is handling these multi-front attacks amazingly well. Makes you wonder, he must have something good going. It's also interesting how the GOP (RNC) picked up on some of Hillary's attacks against Obama. Maybe she should protest for the obvious plagiarism.

$287 BILLION DOLLARS would, in my opinion, be well invested in America. I am sick and tired of all our money being sent out of this country while America's infrastructure and her people are hurting. Every time I turn around some other country is getting millions/billions of dollars from our government...enough is enough! It is way past time for our government to recognize the problems of America and stop sweeping these problems under the rug, pretending they do not exist.

INTERESTING HOW EVERYONE IS NOW GOING AFTER OBAMA, INCLUDING REPUBLICANS AND HILARY.

WHY, BECAUSE THEY ARE JEALOUS AT THE AMAZING SUPPORT AND GREAT IDEAS HE HAS FOR AMERICA'S FUTURE, AND THE REPUBLICANS WANT HILARY TO WIN, BECAUSE SHE IS EASIER TO BEAT.

hilary is no better than the republicans, tearing down a fellow democrat with her nonsense accusations. A VOTE FOR HILARY IS A VOTE FOR JOHN MCCAIN BECAUSE HE WILL BEAT HILARY, SO DONT WASTE YOUR VOTE ON HILARY.

I read your comment Jared and would tend to agrre with you, except for one small item you so artfully left out... The fact the the War in Iraq was started under false pretenses in the first place!

As for Mr. Irrelevent-I-mean-Huckabee, interesting an ordained Minister doesn't practice what he preaches. I seem to remember the good rev, saying something about not knowing much about Math, but he knows about Miracles. What a hypocrite!

Obama will use the tax dollars now being spent on a failed Iraq war to support the people who actually PAY the tax dollars. That is how he will fund the programs. Not difficult math.

Well, sure. But I hear gold is rather pricey, so if Obama doesn't pave with gold, that should cut the cost down considerably.

I find everyone who is blindly anti-Obama to be ridiculous. I used to be severely against Hillary but after watching the debates, I feel like she would make a good president. Unfortunately, I still think Obama will make an EXCELLENT president. I don't think either of them will cut and run from Iraq because George W screwed us over and it would be wrong to get out without securing the region. I do think getting out of Iraq is going to require NATO and the rest of the world to help stabilize the region.

Other than that, America really is in need for some unification and vision. I recently had a chance to travel around Europe meeting people of all different origins and the one theme that was constant was the idea that America is the world's big ugly duckling. I learned that Canadians are actually treated better in Europe because they afford a little respect to the rest of the world instead of running around messing everything up. I guess, I look forward to America actually showing a little positive leadership in the world. Leadership that will aid sustainability, prevent poverty, and unify nations. I believe that leadership will come with Barack Obama at the helm, but if Clinton happens to get the nomination, she would definitely do better than McCain.
