Jack Nicholson is saluting Hillary Clinton with some help from Rob Reiner, who directed Nicholson in A Few Good Men. (Getty Images/File).

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Jack Nicholson and Rob Reiner's latest project is being unleashed on the Internet with a distinctly political theme.

The E-endorsement for Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton cobbles together clips from Nicholson's most famous movies, including the scene in "A Few Good Men," directed by Reiner, when he says there's nothing sexier than saluting a woman.

The video, titled "Jack and Hill," also includes scenes from Nicholson's more murderous roles as The Joker in "Batman" and Jack Torrance in "The Shining."

The message of the clip is that Clinton "has a plan to deal with the nearly 47 million Americans without health care."

The movie also contends she will end the Iraq war and restore America's credibility abroad.

The Clinton campaign wasn't in on the video making, and hasn't commented.

Nicholson endorses Clinton.. whoa.. I'm impressed. If we want to talk about credible and powerful endorsements, Obama wins by a blow -out — Just like the election will prove on Tuesday. Let's talk about celebrity endorsements: Obama won the endorsement early on from the billion dollar woman, a woman who has never endorsed anyone; and arguably the most powerful woman in the world…a woman who, after the initial endorsement, and public appearances, stepped back to let the will of the people prevail. Obama doesn't need any "eleventh hour" endorsements. Clinton can't beat Obama in pledged delegates, and Clinton is losing superdelegates every day… Why won't the media stop covering Clinton's ever-so-slim chances and admit that Hillary is done? If the tables were turned, EVERYONE would be calling for Obama to quit. Double standards really irk me….

GO OBAMA - YES WE CAN!

Myrna   March 2nd, 2008 12:14 pm ET

Sorry Jack… As Much as I like Your Movies, You are WAY out of Your league in supporting Hillary… She Has Not done anything in 35 years !! Shame on Her.. I am the Mother of three children and grandma to 6 , 3 of My grandchildren currently are on Med-cal in California.. Also to make sure thier needs are Met, Thier grandpa, who is raising two of them has had to get additional Insurance for them…. ! NO MORE HILLARY! Obama For President in 08

Prince George   March 2nd, 2008 12:13 pm ET

I have already voted for Obama about a week ago in the Texas Democratic Primary. I also plan to caucus for him with my friends. I TRUST Barack! We do not have penchant for Bill and Hillary’s style of politics. Bill and Hillary Clinton spurn the truth and play dirty tricks to win; they are glaringly hypocritical. They circulate fear for political gains that will not materialize. We do not trust them anymore. It is time for Democrats, Independents, and some Republicans in Texas, Ohio, Vermont, and RI to go to poll in droves to vote for Barack Obama on March 4th so that the Democrats will start uniting the party for the general election.

CNN:
Your politics front page is a SHAME.
No direct link to OBAMA (only the two others);
Only positive news for Clinton;
Only negative insinuations (no proof at all of any wrong doing) for Obama.
etc..
Fortunately, voters don't read or don't care about coverages.
In conclusion: Viva Obama, and Shame On You!

Amy in Iowa   March 2nd, 2008 12:10 pm ET

I saw the video…it was quite scary. Jack looks like a psycho. I don't think this will help Hillary at all.

Chillie   March 2nd, 2008 12:09 pm ET

Thanks Jack. It's about time some celebrities start backing Hillary.
I would like to bring up a subject about Superdelegates here. It seems everyone feels they should vote the way their district votes. That would defeat the whole purpose of Superdelegates. They were established to prevent popularty contests and catastrophies. I bring this up because of the mention of celebrities. I think that if Obama's supporter, Oprah, were to run for president, she would be very high on the popularity contest. I hope to God the superdelegates would not vote with the popular oppinion. They are elected officials. they were elected to do what is best for the people. If they see those people being bamboozled they should go with their best judgement, not the emothions of the day. This is a presidential election people, not American Idol.

Gerald M, Toms River NJ   March 2nd, 2008 12:09 pm ET

Leave it to Billary to use an actor who never served in the Military as her "Military endorsement". Its a shame that Hollywood can't keep to what it knows best and out of politics. Nicholson has made a bad decision and a poor choice in movie clips. He should have used clips from "One flew over the Cuckoc's nest". Hillary does remind me of the nurse…..

king from toronto   March 2nd, 2008 12:08 pm ET

come on jack! you and hillary cannot handle the truth.

NC Voter   March 2nd, 2008 12:08 pm ET

I think this video is a bit ironic…all of the character's that are featured are negative one's. And the last statement about saluting a woman was rather sexist, especailly coming from that character in a Few Good Men.

I may be reading too much into it..maybe it is Nicholson, he seems like a dirty old man

bimmer   March 2nd, 2008 12:08 pm ET

I can sense how painful it was for CNN to create this ticker. The title of the Ticker says endorses WH Hopeful.

How low a news organization who claims to be the best in the businees can go?

Shame on you CNN for adversely influencing the election for a big- mouth, phony, who is an admitted drug addict and a plagiarizer .

Wake Up Call!   March 2nd, 2008 12:08 pm ET

I think this is a great add! It made me smile, after months of stress from the media's crazy bashing of Hillary or anyone else who tries to speak out about anything the Barack Kool-Aid Drinkers deem "negative". Finally, someone (and who else but Jack), can bring a smile, yet state the facts in a very friendly, non-invasive way. HMMMMM funny how all the Kool-Aid drinkers claim Hillary is the cry baby, bet there already gearing up to cry about this one. Next they'll be mocking Jack and Rob!

Anyway, for ANYONE who is still awake…I was flipping between stations yesterday CNN, MSNBC, etc. watching the candidates and stopped to listen to McCain, he was telling his famous story about his bracelet that was given to him by a woman who lost her son in Iraq.
(Even though I am not a McCain follower, the story is incredibly touching), after I listened to him, maybe about 15mins. later or so, they jumped to Barrack speaking and all of a sudden he starts telling a story about a woman who asked him to wear her son's bracelet. I looked at my father and said "Did I just hear what I think I heard?" and he said "Yes!" Now, from my research and understanding McCain has had his bracelet for sometime, SO all of a sudden Barrack has almost the same story, 15mins. after McCain shares his????

Come on People, what the heck is everyone thinking?? I believe in Change as well, but not at expense of the country, or our children, especially our younger children that will feel the effects of this campaign for a long time to come!!

Curious to see if CNN will post this comment, this is the second time I've tried to leave one!

BWB   March 2nd, 2008 12:07 pm ET

While Jack Nicholson's acting depictions of a military officer are famous, I don't believe using his image in a military uniform on a story about his personal endorsement of Senator Clinton is appropriate. It adds a connotation that is not accurate or related to the story at hand. Please limit the spin and biasing. Thank you.

Amy in Iowa   March 2nd, 2008 12:06 pm ET

Jack and Bill Clinton have a lot in common….how inappropriate. Hillary would do better having an endorsement from a more credible source than that actor.

yes she will   March 2nd, 2008 12:05 pm ET

"Honey, I'm home…." :) Jack and Hill rock. It's about time hollywood countered the 'Oprah' factor. Although Jack endorsed Hillary a long time ago, once again the media didn't seem to care- just like so many of her other endorsements going unnoticed by the media. That's alright, the people are on to the bias in reporting and it won't be long before they feel the effect of Obama buyer remorse.

Richard   March 2nd, 2008 12:04 pm ET

Why don't you explicitly state that Jack endorsed HRC on the main CNN website? Why does it read… white house hopeful?

Fred   March 2nd, 2008 12:04 pm ET

But would Nicholson salute a crying commander in chief?

What is wrong with this country that we keep turning to people everyone knows won't be good for this country?

So sad.

pattik   March 2nd, 2008 12:03 pm ET

The second saying is: WHEN YOU POINT YOUR FINGER AT SOMEONE ELSE, THREE ARE POINTING BACK AT YOU…Why is it that Obama's negative news is squashed in the media after only 1 or 2 airings & HIllary is not allowed to talk about his cocaine trials or the house he bought undervalued by $200,000, but he is continually attacking Hillary….Is it that he is allowed different rules because he is a male or he is black??? I could not believe how he thought using cocaine was no big thing…Cocaine has ruined many, many lives in this country…Obama is very thin & seemingly untired…Is he still using??…this will be another 4 yrs of the same crap as Bush, as Obama has no idea what we are in for in the next few years & I will have to suffer along with many other Americans if he is elected….

Jenny MA   March 2nd, 2008 12:03 pm ET

Chuck   March 2nd, 2008 12:02 pm ET

i love jack but is a little too late……obama is going to win!!!

A. Parker   March 2nd, 2008 12:02 pm ET

I was outraged by the Jack Nicholson ad, in particular the part that went something like: "There's nothing sexier than a woman who can bring a man to a full salute in the morning." In my mind this carries a connotation of a man becoming sexually aroused. Perhaps Jack or for that matter Hillary had not considered the possible interpretations and offense that might be taken by the public. In my opinion the ad is undignified, although many of Hillary's latest ploys have been. WHAT IS HILLARY THINKING? I have lost so much respect for her as she has consistently attacked Senator Obama in such tasteless fashion in the last several months. For me , this was the last straw. I understand that it was "approved" by Jack Nicholson, but Hillary should at least exercise her control to pull the ad ASAP.

E FOR EFFORT JACK   March 2nd, 2008 12:02 pm ET

JACK…A FEW GOOD MEN HAVE ALREADY ENDORSED HILLARY. THE PROBLEM IS NOT LAKE OF ENDORSEMENT. I THINK HILLARY IS A VERY COMPETENT CANDIDATE.

THIS IS NOT JUST AN ELECTION. THIS IS A MOVEMENT!!! PEOPLE WANT TO BREAK THE STRANGLEHOLD THAT THE BUSH/CLINTON DYNASTIES HAVE HAD ON THIS COUNTRY.
IN NOVEMEMBER I AM BACKING A DEMOCRAT. WHOEVER THAT MAY BE.
I URGE ALL CLINTON/OBAMA SUPPORTERS TO STOP THE RIDICULOUS ATTACKS, RACIST REMARKS AND NARROWMINDEDNESS AND UNITE!!!

Cnn–From your coverage the last few days, it appears that you have forgotten that there are two democratic candidates: Hillary Clinton and BARACK OBAMA. . .remember him, why don't you cover him anymore.

As HRC would say "shame on you" "come meet me in New York and we will talk about your behavior."

Kim   March 2nd, 2008 11:57 am ET

Way to go, Jack Nicholson. I've always known you were a good, decent person. THANK YOU. You have style, integrity and honesty. I can see why you endorsed Hillary for many reasons. I'd rather watch YOU on TV any day before Oprah. Sorry, Oprah. You lost me, when you blindly chose Obama.

In IN   March 2nd, 2008 11:56 am ET

So, FYI, the scene about "saluting a woman" actually represents a very demeaning scene and attitude about women. I am then unsure how this benefits Clinton. Jack was mocking Demi Moore.

I'm sure if it was Jack Nicholson endorsing Obama. It would say. Ticker: Jack Nicholson backs Obama.

Veronica   March 2nd, 2008 11:55 am ET

Is this a joke? It seems more like an endorsement of Jack Nicholson to me.

Annamica, OH   March 2nd, 2008 11:54 am ET

CNN no offense, but where is the story on Obama and CTV? I'm yet to see one, and this is groundbreaking news! Wake up Ohio, Obama lied to us, use your intelligence and stick with Hillary!

pattik   March 2nd, 2008 11:54 am ET

Americans are looking for change, but shouldn't CHANGE be more specific?…If it is true change, why pick another male? or is it color that you want changed…Will that correct what is wrong?? Males being the warrior & females being the caretakers?..TWO SAYINGS I HOLD TO SHOW TRUE MOTIVATION: IF YOU ARE NOT PART OF THE SOLUTION, THEN YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM…What did Obama do to stop the Iraqi War?? & How can obama keep repeating the same "Hillary voted for the war" as only her mistake when many others also voted with her based on information fed by Bush's propaganda machine & Obama wasn't privy to that information at the time…Hasn't Obama been working under different rules than Hillary? Young women don't realize that they are still getting less money for the same job as a male (no matter what color or ethnicity). If Hillary is not the candidate, I will vote for Ralph Nader…Obama has already divided this country if you have listened to his remarks, so he is only looking to unite certain people…I wonder if any one of them have read any of the platforms or bios of their candidate of choice…thanks for listening

Jenny   March 2nd, 2008 11:54 am ET

I found this command from another blog, I would like to share it with you.

Nobody says that a candidate with the most experience must win. However, a presidential candidate must have experience above some bar. Among the major candidates (Biden, Dodd, …), Obama has the minimum experience that is below the bar in many people's view. Therefore, Clinton's campaign raised a legitimate questions to voters. Admittedly, this strategy has not worked that well so far, but just wait till McCain vs Obama.

Do not even bring in John Kennedy. Although he was young when elected to the White House, before that, he had already served 8 years in US-Senate and 6 years in US House of Representatives. He was also a war hero and served in US Army from 1941-1945 during the war.

Obama's brag about his 2002 anti-war speech is misleading. At that time, 60% of democrats were openly anti-war. Many people in my little college town gave anti-war speeches that listed exactly the same reasons as Obama bragged about in his recent debates. Hillary, being in US congress at the time, like so many other democrats, had the responsibility to vote and to examine the intelligence information (of course, misguided) more carefully. I have the utmost respect to Colin Powell for both his experience, integrity and intellect, and even he was misguided. Therefore, I do not hold Hillary accountable for her vote, and I do not give Obama much credit for that either.

georgy   March 2nd, 2008 11:54 am ET

He is another who has seen the light - what angers me most is barack obama's claim that he wanted against the war - vote against the war - where ? when ?? - He was never anywhere in the Senate at that time! I cannot understand why he has been allowed to continue saying such a thing. Maybe, if he was in the Senate at the time and presented with the facts that was then presented (which we all know now on HINDSIGHT was not ENTIRELY TRUE), might have voted for the war. Knowing Saddam HUSSEIN to be a very dangerous dictator, capable of inflicting terrible harm on America and the rest of world and his brothers who were not sunnis - what other action could have been taken Obama? Saddam Hussein was not listening to the world and trying his very best to "hoodwink" the UN Inspectors..

Just Wondering   March 2nd, 2008 11:47 am ET

Ok all you Hillary hacks who blasted the Oprah endorsement; is it a different story now that you've finally found a celebrity to take your side?

Harold   March 2nd, 2008 11:46 am ET

Oh boy, this is big news. Who gives three jumping jacks in hell what this washed up old "celebrity" thinks? Really? Why is htis country so shallow, to really care what these people do or think?

Steve   March 2nd, 2008 11:44 am ET

Jack Nicholson, like 95% of Hollywood elitists, do not have college degrees and live their lives completely out of touch with all of America. Why would we listen to who they think we should vote for?

The military outfit photo is a nice touch, maybe they should have a photo Meathead and Archie as well…..

Soldier on the front lines   March 2nd, 2008 11:43 am ET

It's a sad day when we can get an actor dressed in a uniform to quote a few lines from a script about saluting a woman. Real soldiers salute women everyday as they serve in some of the most critical positions in our armed services from PLT LDR to Battalion or Brigade CMD. Maybe we can get a couple of actors to dress in fatigues, strap on a pair of boots and serve a post on the front lines of Iraq or Afghanistan! I clearly know who I want answering he call at 3am.

BL-NYC   March 2nd, 2008 11:42 am ET

This is a super great endorsement and very well deserved… Everyone I know has the greatest respect for both Jack Nicholson and Rob Reiner…

Funny how the media makes so little of it, but if it was the "Golden One" it would be a media frenzy… Crazy huh… Senator Obama will make a great President, just not yet…

CLINTON 2008 - OBAMA 2016

Fundamental Question   March 2nd, 2008 11:41 am ET

Thank You, Jack! It's courageous of you to endorse Hillary at a time when Super Delagates should have thrown thier support her way at a very critical stage in the campaign. I would be disappointed to know that Super Delagates are waiting to see what happens in Texas, Ohio, Vermont, and Rhode Island. Thanks again — you're a good man.

Hi!
Your slanted coverage just lost you a long-time viewer. Either you are trying to prolong this race for ratings which is disgusting. Or you owe the Clinton's something or they owe you something — also disgusting. You most definitely do not have the best political team on television. I would even go so far as to say that you are scraping up the bottom of the barrel with Fox right now.

I thought that was great. In my opinion it showed how I feel the debates went. They asked Hillary the questions and Obama just agreed. He has not had anything original to say the whole campaign. Even his "Change" moto was stolen from Hillary. Look back, you will see that. Judgement as he says he has, does not have any meaning to me without experience. Judgement to a 3 year old may be to touch a hot stove. Experience will tell him to stay away. Nothing bad about Obama is brought up. Look up his past records. NO He did not vote to go to war in Iraq. Could it be because he was not in a position to vote on it. I hope he get called into his buddy Rezko's trial. He says he takes no money from lobbies but what about all the money unions and such spend on ads for him. Is that not the same. He has double standards.

Perhaps the campaign has not commented, but they did put the clip, which includes a line about there being nothing sexier than a woman you have to salute in the morning (the movie context of the clip involves a sex act), on their website as a much watch. I am not clear how this speaks to women, like myself, who should be her voting "bloc."

Major John McIntosh, USA   March 2nd, 2008 11:27 am ET

There is certainly a double standard operating here when an American servicemember may not in or out of uniform (but certainly not in uniform) endorse a political candidate, but an actor can portray himself in the same uniform giving the appearance of military service and endorse a candidate. It is one thing to allow an actor to wear the uniform to present a work of fiction, entirely another to portray a fictional character as if he or she had anything to do with reality. I find Nicholson's use of the uniform to endorse any candidate or position on a war that our nation is engaged as deeply offensive.

I would like to comment on the media twist concerning the Democrat Campaign. It has been so obvious for months, the biased support towards Obama. I know his charisma and large crowd drawl makes him an exciting icon. However, this is not a movie we are rolling out. This is our future. It appears to me as a viewer, that only in recent days, Hillary is getting some fair view time, along with her supporters shared view points. It really makes me wonder what goes on behind the scenes. We keep hearing money points. Obama is two to Hillary's one. Where is Opra behind the scenes, "the media Queeen"? Americans are not as nieve as ones may think. We have learned very hard lessons these past 8-10 years. We are awake now!!!!

Message for all the young, non-critical, and bandwagon-oriented Obama voters:

If Obama will be the democratic nominee, he will not win the presidential election, and MacCain will be the president . In this scenario, it is very possible that a draft (for the war in Iraq) will take place. Then, what are the young Obama voters going to do?

Young voters, wake-up NOW. Vote for Hillary in Texas, Ohio, Rhode Island and Vermont on Tuesday. And continue to vote for Hillary in Pennsylvannia and all other states yet to be counted for delegates. Being drafted is NOT the change you are looking for!

VOTE HILLARY 2008!

Its time for ancient people like you to hand down the mantle to the next generation for some real change rather than going back to ancient time.

Corey, Maryland   March 2nd, 2008 11:23 am ET

So let me get this straight, every Clinton supporter out there, always complains that Obama gets all of the publicity. So then if that were true, why didn't Obama get a huge picture and article every time a celebrity endorsed him. So because a celebrity endorses Clinton, she gets a huge article and a big picture, cause that sounds fair. Oh well Jack isn't all that great, and it doesn't matter because we have the 2007 worlds most attractive woman…..Scarlet Johanson!!!!! Were was her huge picture and article.

CNN a better news story would have been:
General Henry Hugh Shelton Endorses Hillary for President.

In announcing his endorsement, General Shelton said, “I’ve been with Senator Clinton when she has been with our military men and women. I know from those experiences that she understands the demands and sacrifice of military life. I am confident she will always put the readiness and well being of our troops first. She is ready to be Commander-in-Chief.”

Hillary all the way……………..we love you from Pa.

Debra Boc   March 2nd, 2008 11:18 am ET

I am so pleased that Jack Nicholson supports Hillary Clinton. I totally agree that she is our most brilliant, confident, experienced candidate that we have ever had. As a women, I think all women should suport this. Obama is a motivational speaker, however, he does not have what it takes for this position as of yet. He needs a mentor, which is Hillary. Elect Hillary for 8 years, Obama as a successor for 8 then we have the Democrats for 16 years to fix the Bush Mess!!! Please wake up America!!

Adam   March 2nd, 2008 11:17 am ET

Judging by his last few films and this, I'd say Jack's gone way past senility.

Curliss   March 2nd, 2008 11:17 am ET

It takes a few good men…to recognize Hillary as the only option. Thanks Jack. I applaud you for you stand and support for the best candidate. Otherwise, the alternative for most informed voters who want experience in the white house would be McCain. Go Hillary!!!

Justin   March 2nd, 2008 11:16 am ET

As usual, I'm baffled as to why we care what Hollywood celebrities think and who they endorse.

If Senator Clinton has a good plan to deal with health care, I'd like to hear it straight from her, not be told by Jack Nicholson (no matter how cool he is).

I saw the clip and in my opinion, he should have added the clip where he says: "You cant handle the truth!" vecause clearly he AND Clinton cant handle the fact that she is NOT going to win this thing.

Still recycling stuff obama supporters have already done. Something tells me that the Clinton's and their supporters would like to have a do over on there campaign now that Barack has shown them how to run a campaign that is on par with todays technology.

John   March 2nd, 2008 11:12 am ET

So, what? Neither Obama nor McCain has a plan?

C Rush   March 2nd, 2008 11:12 am ET

Who cares what JH thinks he just another Hollywood sleaze.. I bet Billery is so proud that all she can muster is sleaze.

Vivian   March 2nd, 2008 11:11 am ET

I think it's interesting that all 3 movies that were chosen to use clips from, depict a character who is evil, crazy, and making his own rules along the way. Sound familiar?

It's also interesting that the clips used to make this video portray the character as being a much different person than the basic character in the movie itself.

If you think about it….the video couldn't be more appropriate.

Thanks Jack. Thanks Rob. GO OBAMA!!

Cami   March 2nd, 2008 11:10 am ET

I like Jack Nicholson. But, according to most Hillary supporters, celebrity endorsements don't matter, right?

Susie   March 2nd, 2008 11:10 am ET

If the article is about Nicholson endorsing Clinton, why does the title, on the main page, say " . . . WH Hopeful." CNN - afraid the Obama camp will whine if you put her name on your homepage more than once in a day?

Sen. Clinton - some of us are able to follow your coverage - we just have to work a little harder than the Obama supporters.

Cris in Texas   March 2nd, 2008 11:09 am ET

JANICE   March 2nd, 2008 11:09 am ET

DON'T YOU JUST LOVE THIS MAN. WAY TO GO JACK !WHAT A WAY TO BACK HER! HILLARY YOU GOT A GOOD ONE !

lzspc   March 2nd, 2008 11:09 am ET

I am with Nick…..she is the best there is!!!

James   March 2nd, 2008 11:09 am ET

First of all, I don't see why any celebrity endorsement should matter. This is an utter non-story. Unlike fellow politicians who have spent their lives evaluating policy issues, Hollywood stars don't know any more about politics than the rest of us. They just have more money and more access to the media.

Secondly, Jack Nicholson? He is not going to do anything to help Hillary Clinton reach beyond her core demographic of older, white voters. Yes, he was edgy and hip . . . in the 1960s and 1970s. But a man whose latest movies include "Something's Gotta Give" and "The Bucket List" will have no resonance for anyone under 45.

Finally, I always thought that that line about "there's nothing sexier than saluting a woman" was distinctly sexist. The marine officer salutes her and thinks it's a perverse turn-on, but he doesn't really respect her.

Independent Voter in Texas   March 2nd, 2008 11:09 am ET

Fake soldier….Hillary's fake experience. That should convince me to vote for her?

Come on now camp Hillary. This is absurd.

Manuel TX   March 2nd, 2008 11:08 am ET

It's about time.

There has been SO much hype for BO from the far left and so much bias from the media, yeah Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, Jack Cafferty, I'm talking to you three talking heads.

The empty hype and media bias has cost votes for Hillary's campaign, not to mention the "I hate Hillary" vote from the suddenly left leaning Repuglicans voting in the Democratic primaries.

Fortunately a lot of voters are making up their own minds.

Don't think so ....   March 2nd, 2008 11:08 am ET

"There is nothing more sexy than saluting a woman in the morning" … they included that line in his ad ???

Whatever you say about Hillary, but you cannot accuse her of being 'sexy'.

In fact, in case you are not certain - ask Bill Clinton.

Gabby   March 2nd, 2008 11:05 am ET

Gezz Jack at least you could have not warn a movie wardrobe suit. I did a little digging, and it's all easy to find, you did no time in the military. As far nothing sexier than saluting a woman. I don't know about you but I haven't seen her salute anyone, I would think her more of a "kiss My ring" type.

Jim in CT   March 2nd, 2008 11:02 am ET

Could you bring yourselves to even mention Hillary Clinton in the headline on your front page? I'm sure if Jack Nicholson had endorsed Obama it would have been splashed everywhere on CNN! And where is the headline about all the retired military leaders who endorsed Senator Clinton this past week? Not even the slightest mention on CNN!

Gary in CT   March 2nd, 2008 11:02 am ET

Now its time for me to say 'GIVE ME A BREAK!' Are you kidding me? I have no problem with celebraties coming out for one candidte or another, but how Jack Nicholson is being portrayed here is almost sacrilegous to the proud men and women that wore the uniform of United States Marines. Jack Nicholson is actor, a role player, a pretender of character. He is not a person who dedicated his life and placed his life on the line as did those who actually wore the uniform, and for Sen. Clinton to use this portrait of an actor appearing as a majestic as he does in this photo gives the appearance that not only the man, but the uniform is backing her is absolutely disgraceful. SHAME ON YOU HILLARYY CLINTON! DON'T YOU EVER AGAIN DEGRADE MY UNIFORM!

In a moment all the Obama paid operatives will be out and the slandering will begin. They are going house to house here in Texas. They are armed with a clip board, a list of talking points and a list ( I suspect of registered Democrats) The talking point look like the same as they use here on this board. They asks " did you know that Hillary would not release her tax records? and did you know that Bill Clinton had sex with another women while in the White House and what about White water? The man was white and from New York and when my wife told him she was not interested and was a Hillary supported, he followed that up by saying all the black voters in my neighhood were voting for Obama. She told him again "just check me off your list, I am still going to vote for Hillary and so is my husband. Mr. Clean has a slime machine!

Another old person endorses old Clinton with her old ways. So what it's Jack Nicholson. Don't let Hillary fool you all. Like the 3am phone call if you notice the phone rung about 5 times with Obama ad he answers it right away.
Now she is setting it up as man against woman. After that outburst showing all that angry, do we really want a woman who can not handle pms. Well I hope she is in a stable mood if she do have to answer that phone.

We need to vote in who we truly can beat McCain. Because I promise you this if it is between McCain vs Clinton, McCain will be president. Some might hate Obama but many love him and if we don't vote him in we will have McCain with ways worser than Bush. The race is about who we think can really beat McCain and Hillary don't stand a chance.

Camille (black and female) GO HILLARY!   March 2nd, 2008 10:58 am ET

Funny how Cnn is JUST NOW posting this. Yahoo and several other outlets had this mentioned around Weds. of last week. But you all were on the Obama/Oprah bandwagon right away.

Just rewatched most of the debates (yep have alot of them recorded) amazing how many times the people rudely interupt Hillary, but Obama is allowed to ramble on and on and on and give the same speechs over and over. Or my personal favorite is how often he just parrots back the answer that Clinton gives.

I think the news outlets finally saw that people were calling them on the biased attacks against Clinton and the "Can walk on water" Obama attitude. First time i have seen a few postive Clinton reports. Several of the polls were what 74 % said it was unfairly biased to 26% and I have seen others with a even higher amount feeling it has been biased in favor of Obama.

If the news media had been smart, they too would have been pushing for a Clinton/Obama ticket like so many others have been mentioning. But then that would have made it almost completely impossible for McCain to win wouldnt it. If people really had wanted a unified democratic party, we would have been pushing this from the begining instead we are going to end up going into November with a huge gap in the party.

Obama -bots will no doubt try to find any fault they can. Obama is not the right person to be President. His claim to fame, "I was against the war." Oh wait, I wasn't sure when I was supporting Kerry. I think Al Qaeda in Afghanastan was the real threat, why I did not hold any meetings while chairing that committee, well I have been too busy campaigning for President for the past two years. The most important thing for me, is to be President. I will change the way Washington works. Every committee will be in name only. I will eliminate the Sec. of State position and meet with all foreign leaders, friends and foes. We must show the world we are not all that.

Hillary does not have any credibility, she can't possibly restore our credibility abroad. My vote is for Barack Obama. He is the only one that can restore our credibility in other countries, he is the only one that can work well, across the aisle. Jack, a womanizer supporting a her, probably so he can be one of those elite's supporting her to control her. She does not have the stamina to deal with all that has to be dealt with as president, she would scream unfair. The only one I want answering the phone in the white house at 3am is Barack Obama.

Barack Obama 08.

Jack JACK what happened to not being involved in politics? Bad move, you have the right as a citiizen to support who ever you want, but when you use your "star" power to do that, it just makes you look goofy (no matter who you support). I am long past any celeb helping me make up my mind whether it is you, Oprah, Norris, or anyone else.

Rob, the only thing that will help ensure Hillary's defeat more than you supporting her would be if Martin Sheen also supported her. Muah, kiss it goodbye baybee

For the record   March 2nd, 2008 10:54 am ET

That plan, which was already fronted by Hillary once as first lady, failed miserably the first time around. What makes anyone believe she'll be successful the second time around. Knowing the Clintons, they'll blame Congress, or whoever is convenient, for this broken promise….in other words….it'll be business as usual.

David K   March 2nd, 2008 10:54 am ET

Love the Advertisement with Jack Nicholson…just watched it on Youtube…very well done. I love that CNN is finally showing some respect to the Clinton camp. I am Canadian and have no vested interest in this election but I read CNN daily. The slant towards Obama had been horribly biased. I use that in past tense because it has balanced out. Way to go CNN. Respect for all candidates is the road to take.

Obama is getting his votes from Republicans who can vote in primary in Ohio and many other States by taking a Democratic Ballot which is allowed in Ohio , A Republican woman On C-Span this morining said she will vote for Obama in primary and vote for McCain in general election. Republicans have been doing this switch all along none of media speaks about this horrible crime which is legal . How can we have a honest election when voters can swing the election. Democrats cannot do this as Mcain has nomination. These rules should be changed in these ststes. This woman must be the norm she said she hated Hillary Clinton. Republican is behind this shamfull plan. WHY? dont you as the media report this Obama would not look like all the Dems are voting for him. Please respond to me if possible. Ann

Jack -
Be a man: Ask Mrs. Clinton to release her tax returns, Ask Bill Clinton to release his White House papers prior to the Tuesday primaries. You of course support honesty, integrity and transparency, don't you? The American people do not deserve a Clinton "smoking gun" on Wednesday, March 5th, perhaps detailing unsavoury contributions to her campaign, or the truth about her support on NAFTA and other issues behind the scenes at the White House.
Then again, you are the JOKER… and perhaps really do support change in America and the "HOPE" that we can restore credibility in the international and domestic community. Yes We Can.

Good for them.

Obama will probably whine. He usually does. Maybe Oprah should have made a commercial showing Obama's lovely home. Bought with the help of Chicago slum lord, Tony Rezco.

Hey maybe Obama can get Rezco to help the of Americans in home trouble to help them get affordable homes.

How would Obama know anything about the mortgage crisis or the ecomomy? I don't have his kind of help and I bet most of the rest of us don't either.

Jack who?

Mad in Texas   March 2nd, 2008 10:40 am ET

Way to go Jack. Not only being my favorite male actor you undoubtedly have the same instincts that I have. Hillary is the only choice for America. She is a true American. Blacks are not Americans. They want to be African American. So I say let them. This country is built on many different races and they are all good people under God. Only some are mis-guided and think that America owes them something because of what their forefathers went through. They fail miserably in knowing the history of America. The early settlers was made up mostly of slaves. Indentered or sold into slavery white, brown, red and black like what had being going on Europe since bibical times. Even Africans enslaved each other. They even sold fellow Africans into slavery. So the logic to this story is to get over your racism America. We are all brothers under the eyes of God. If you really want to unite American then you must vote for HILLARY 08.

Lee   March 2nd, 2008 10:40 am ET

Another self important person trying to tell us who to vote for. Who Cares Jack? I can listen to the canidates and read there material and look at their records and decide who I will vote for myself. Anyone who decides to vote based on endorcements, especially from Hollywood, should not be voting in the first place.

Has anyone else noticed that Hillary's photo has been on the CNN Politics page for the last 2 days with no change? Talk about bias. Hillary is demanding positive coverage even though she has lost 11 in a row. What kind of cverage would Obama get if he lost consistently. Hillarys sense of entitlement is amazing. I will never vote for her. I will either vote for Obama..or I will cast an anti Hillary vote for McCain.

Bill   March 2nd, 2008 10:38 am ET

Didi Miesen   March 2nd, 2008 10:37 am ET

Bravo Jack!

Hillary is the ONLY choice. Obama has not only parroted just about ALL of Hillary's ideas, he has repeated her words in every debate verbatim, and agreed with just about everything she says and then expects the public to trust him to lead the country.

The latest issue he's taken from her is opening his platform speeches saying he's going to provide "Universal health care" and has even resorted to copying her latest ad and has also claimed that as his own!

What will he do at three in the morning - call Hillary? Looks like that's all he'll be able to do. His team of advisers certainly haven't been able to come up with anything original have they.

MB   March 2nd, 2008 10:37 am ET

Zathrina   March 2nd, 2008 10:36 am ET

CNN, why don't you talk about how part of the Kennedy family supports and campaigns for Hillary instead of letting the prior coverage on Ted Kennedy and the Shrivers stand for the misleading proposition that the entire Kennedy family believes that Obama is the next "JFK"? This is GREAT! It is appropriate that they use a scene from "A Few Good Men."

…For based on how some women are bashing her, "Hillary is one of: "A Few Good Women."

Hillary is a strong, intelligent woman, and alot of men and women fear that.

I was raised by a strong woman, I married a strong woman and I am raising a strong woman.

I am PROUD to support a STRONG female candidate.

Nice to see at least one actor has brains to know who is the BEST AND RIGHT CHOICE to be president.

The "ticker" seems to be Clinton heavy this weekend. Just thought I'd point that out….why?

Did she make you feel guilty with her cry-baby antics?

We need a grown-up for President…not "pity party" Hillary!

And Jack Nicholson's political opinion is worth more than mine or yours because…. ? Who cares?

Who is the dude? A vet of some war?

Love ya Jack. Thanks for the lifetime of good movies. Hillary is the best person for the job. Did you know Obama did not vote for the Iraq war? Did you know he never held a meeting on Afghanastan in 14 months of chairing that committee? Politics above security…..

After seeing the "yes we can" video and Jack's video, I now really see the AGE difference between OBAMA supporters and HILLARY supporters.

way to go Jack and Rob. At least some of us still have a sane head on our shoulders.

Rj   March 2nd, 2008 10:24 am ET

To me it's the equivilant of Oprahs endorsement! But it won't be percieved that way by Hillary supporters.

I love you for your movies…and even with this that isn't going to change.
