Clinton goes after Obama's chairmanship in new ad

Clinton is launching new ads in Texas and Ohio Monday.
Clinton is launching new ads in Texas and Ohio Monday.

(CNN) Hillary Clinton hit Texas and Ohio airwaves Monday with two new television spots, including one that goes after Barack Obama for not holding any oversight hearings since becoming chairman of a Senate Foreign Relations subcommittee.

"Barack Obama says he has the judgment to be president, but as chairman of an oversight committee charged with the force of fighting al Qaeda in Afghanistan, he was too busy running for president to hold even one hearing," an announcer says in a 30-second Texas ad called "True."

"Hillary Clinton will never be too busy to defend our national security, bringing our troops home from Iraq and pursuing Al Qaeda in Afghanistan," the announcer also says.

Clinton first criticized Obama over his chairmanship of a subcommittee on Europe at last week's MSNBC debate.

'"It has jurisdiction over NATO. NATO is critical to our mission in Afghanistan," she said then. "He's held not one substantive hearing to do oversight, to figure out what we can do to actually have a stronger presence with NATO in Afghanistan."

Obama responded that he became chairman of that committee in January 2007, just as his presidential campaign was launching.

Clinton also went up with a new 30-second ad in Ohio on Monday called "Partner," in which she highlights the state's economic downturn and says she will fight for working families.

"The wealthy and the well-connected have had a president. It's time the middle class had a president who will stand up for you," Clinton says in that ad.

Obama is desperate , as usual hiding his inadequacies behind Hillary's abilities. To be named chairperson of a committee and never hold meeting especially on an import issue like NATO. He has been busy running for President. Courageous leader or calculating politician. Calculating politician! He was not present for 130 votes in the Illinois House. Missed 37.7% of the votes in the US Senate 2007. Wonder what he will do in the White House? Wake up Texas, Ohio< Rhode Island and Vermont. Is this the kind of President you really want?

The problem is, Hillary was too busy to read the Intelligence report on Iraq, which is why she voted blindly for the war. Shame on You !!!

D-E-S-P-E-R-A-T-E = Hillary. They make the accusations then turn them into infomercials. Very "authentic" ... kind of like candidate Clinton. As low as it gets. Is she too stupid to realize by doing this no one will vote for her IF by a snowball's chance in hell she becomes the nominee?

Obama greatest undoing in these primaries has been his positive campaign and refusal to attack Hillary on varieties of claims that cannot be substantiated.

Hillary has been running on a free ride of the experienced and competent when she really doesnt have them. What a luck!

Her competence and experienced in leadership should have been seriously called into question by Obama's campaign but they just wait and react to her attacks.
Especially based on her acclaimed 35yrs experience with no pivotal acheivement, her performances on lost jobs in state on NY and her failed healthcare policies during Bill years that again seriously call into question her inability to work with other people but just have it her way everytime.

But nobody is raising thess issues so she just keep going with the experienced and competent pitch.

I've had it with Obama's arrogant ways and I'm tired of him. At this point it should be a no-brainer. Please, wake up from the Obamamania phenomena. After this is all done we will need a president not a slickster nonperformer. Hillary's been ready for years and has a mastery on every issue. Duh! By the way I'm one of the 'young' people (23) supposedly so important in this race and I am proudly casting my vote for HIllary.

I KNOW.. Hillary is just pulling out all the tactics (DIRTY) because she has very little change otherwise. Mira, I recognize Obama should have had a meeting within the subcomitte on Euro affairs, okay. I give, BUT BUT when you campaign, for better or worse NOBODY does these meetings. THEY CAMPAIGN. Do you see Hillary campaigning on CNN or in meeting w/ subcomittees? COME ON PLEASE!!!! educate yourself. HYPOCRACY AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL!!!!!

When was Hillary in Washington last doing her job? she's been running all around the country as well....or doesn't she have a job in washington that she's neglecting? she's so desperate it's becoming disheartening. she'll win at any cost. if i was Barak i would definitely sleep with my eyes open. too many scary things happen to people around and who get in the Clinton's way. Oh wait, Clinton News Network probably won't print this one anyway....it's not supporting their darling.

Gary: I'm saddened that you think I'm stupid. I think we all need to stop hating each other and unite before another Republican takes the White House. The chances of Clinton winning the nomination are slim now, so let's all unite behind Obama and give the power back to the people! Obama 08!

Obama has sold a lot of voters on rhetoric, Kinda of reminds me of Jim Jones where people were drinking the koolaid.

This guy is a phony. I want experience not words. This B.S about change is ridiculous. Everytime there is a general election, it's cause effect is change.

This notion that he voted against the war is a farce. He never voted on this issue, he gave some speech on it.
He lauds his judgement by saying its not experience that counts but the type of judgement you use. Well Mr. Obama where is all your judgement when it comes to dealing with corrupt Real estate developers? Is that Using good judgement?
People need to look past the veil and do what its right for this country. Hillary 08 all the way.

Hillary is the best chice!! Hiallary will win!

Obama all talk no action! Failed to hold a single hearing in one year period is real bad. He said he be the best commander in chief. Ignoring his troops in Afghanistan is a bad judgement and bad commander in chief. He is missing in action or he derilict his duty as chairman.

Hillary can make things happen and she is the best choice.

    Hillary is brilliant..

Hillary has been trying to state the differences in a nice way in many of the debates, but BO just piggy rides her answers with some pretty verbal embellishment..."sen Clinton is right...etc" over and over again...so i really LOVE the fact that she is attacking him with precise facts from his startegies and voting recods that are different than his...i admired her before, but this fighter Hillary just went up in my books with a big step

    Hillary 08

To this date, Senator Obama has done nothing but put up smoke screens about every issue... Anytime a fault is pointed out he immediatly points a finger for example "[She] has been a lot more aggressive in her negative attacks."
Dude, she has always been aggressive at pointing out what you have not done...
This guy is not ready America... He has done nothing for his state, nothing for our country, never owned a business and can not even hold meetings for his own committee.
He is not ready to get us out of the mess we are in, we need experience...
