If Obama thinks he's so invincable and confident and the American people are so with him why not agree to let Florida and Michigan do a re vote. Let him show that he is different and inclusive Go Florida and Michigan"

It's not up to Obama...The rules are the rules...Florida and Michigan need to follow the rules...but clinton like to break them

Way to go, Jane H. It's good to read some literate comments from an
educated person on these blogs - occasionally. I will support the Democrat nominee. However, the news media (and I was one for 27 years) has never given Hillary a fair chance against Obama. Frankly, I don't think he is that eloquent or inspirational. I was flicking through channels and heard Sean Hannity (whom I despise) interviewing people on the street, asking them to name one thing Obama has accomplished. They couldn't come up with one example, other than he was a street organizer in Chicago and was elected senator. Despite the fact of his immaturity and inexperience, he still might make a decent president, but Hillary has been tested and vetted both in the political, personal and administrative fields. She will hang tough and get the job done!

With regard to the exit poll...

Obama's getting the Latino votes he needs to win the minority vote.

The polls miss more than new voters. They miss unlisted voters. As in they miss voters that don't have landlines. The ones under 30.

Wow! I'm happy Obama is doing so well, because all the racist come out of their rocks. Maybe this time America will step on them and wipe them from the shoe of the human race. Black people are not voting for Hil because the Clintons tried to marginalized them(us) in South Carolina. Take a look, before that happened the Clinton had the majority(plurality) of the black vote. If she does manage to steal this, (AND YES THAT IS THE ONLY WAY SHE CAN BE THE NOMINEE. Don't kid yourself!) She's going to have a hard time winning with a destroyed democratic party. Thank god I'm not a member of this inept group.

One more thing to add why, did Hillary Clinton fire a hispanic woman in her team, during this campaign, if she understands people. Given the back ground of the person Hillary Clinton she needs to look at here self when she smiles it's not a pretty picture. And her reputation in Arkansas is not untarnished either. If we talk about closet issues let's see how far she last after the real issues of her dirty laundry come out.

To: Webster 208 March 4th, 2008 6:08 pm ET:

Yes racism is indeed alive and well in America, and the perpetrators are the same as they have always been. I am a female African-American college student and I was originally a Hillary Clinton supporter since I believed at the time that she had the most experience for the job. However, I was utterly repelled by her behavior, along with that of her husband's in South Carolina and later states. Between Bill's comparisons of Obama's candidacy to that of Jesse Jackson's and Hillary's dismissal of the votes of the "very strong and very proud black electorate", I could no longer support a candidate who repeatedly brings up race as a means to divide the country. I have yet to hear Mr. Obama dismiss any of his losses to Ms. Clinton as a result of the strong female electorate or strong white electorate. Moreover, I find Senator Clinton's refusal to acknowledge her losses to Obama ungracious and irritating. If Senator Clinton has been losing black votes, she has only herself to blame.

I am now convinced that Obama's education and strength of character is enough to lead him to being one of the best presidents America has ever seen.

Finally...the Golden Boy is getting some real criticism and negative news is being directed his way. I can't believe how delusional sooooo many Americans are. If I run for President and have little to no experience, will you elect me??? Tha't how Obama supporters are viewed. How many times have Obama supporters been asked to name ONE THING he has done, and they can't name one. The usual answer you get is, "He is so up-lifting...."...Uh, that's not an answer, AND what's so wrong with HIllary? What exactly has she done that was so wrong? Obama's camp knew from the beginning that his total lack of inexperience was going to be a problem, so they came up with the "hope" speeches and "new leadership in Washington" slogans. If you can't think of ONE thing he has ever done, then why are you supporting him for President? The best the Dems to win in NOV is with a Clinton/Obama ticket. If you ask many Hillary supporters, they say they will vote for Mccain if Obama gets the nomination because 1. They can't support Obama because of his lack of experience 2. His new-found lies on NAFTA and dealings with several people with tarnished reputations (which is hilarious because he has preached the whole time that he is not your usual politician). 3. The most important is...that so many Americans were allowed to be fooled by a young, charismatic senator who in reality has turned out to be nothing more than a liar who gives great speeches.

Too bad the Clinton people can only spew hate and venom at us Obama people! I don't get all the hate, sure I like Obama better and am happy to support and send money to his campaign but I could vote for Hillary if it's between her and McCain. Why the hate Clinton supporters? Do you really feel that HIllary is "owed" this election? I looked at the issues, experience and attitude and felt Obama was the best choice. You feel different! That's fine, but I don't get the attitude.

Hey Fact Man, check your facts... Obama is for war in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Fact, Hillary was a First Lady who was seen and heard and did for us when Bill was in the White House.
Fact, Hillary has done lots for NY and won the NY primaries to back that as well as her home town.
Fact, she has her platform clearly stated on her website, (what is Obama's?)
Fact, Obama's campaign funds are poorly mismanaged and not clearly accounted for.
Fact, You need to learn to read all the articles you can, the candidate websites and you need to learn to READ BETWEEN OBAMA'S LINES.
You would be shocked if you did.

CLINTON SUPPORTERS ARE SICK OF BEING LABELED AS UNEDUCATED, LOW INCOME, OLDER VOTERS. I AM EDUCATED (PH.D), I MAKE A COMFORTABLE LIVING AND I'M RELATIVELY YOUNG (34) AND I DIDN'T VOTE FOR OBAMA AND I WON'T VOTE FOR OBAMA EVEN IF HE WINS THE NOMINATION. WHY? BECAUSE OF HIS INSULTING, IGNORANT, AND CHILDISH SUPPORTERS.

ALSO, SOMEONE ASKED WHY SPANISH VOTERS SUPPORT CLINTON. WELL, I ASK WHY DO BLACK VOTERS SUPPORT OBAMA? HE'S NEVER DONE ANYTHING FOR THEM EITHER. MOST OF THEM ARE JUST VOTING THEIR RACE. HOW INTELLIGENT IS THAT?

It is well known that a lot of Hispanics consider themselves to be white so it should not be a shock to White America that more of the Hispanics vote for Hillary Clinton. What I find to be so disgusting is how shallow so called highly educated news commentators and other high profile political officials choose not to see what the Clinton campaign is doing by introducing the same negative questions about Barack Obama that were raised during his run for the U. S. Senate position that he has. Hillary does some of the same under handed things that President Bush does. If the country is fed up with him why would they vote for a female version of him? Hillary has put on more fake smiles during this campaign than she has shown during the last 35 yrs. she is always talking about. Hillary plays up to the group that has the most potential voters and says just what they want to hear. She is always talking about her vast accomplishments but the only thing she speaks of is getting a small fraction of the young children getting healthcare.

TxVoter,
To make a generalization like you did is unfounded and lacking in basic common sense. I am a black man and I reside in Virginia. I did not vote for Mr. Obama or Mrs. Clinton in our primary. I voted for John McCain. As Hilary so famously states, "We need someone who can be President on day one". We need experience. Well...neither one of the democratic candidates has as much experience as John McCain. However, I will never vote for Hilary because I served in the military under her husband and he treated us like crap and I hate him for it. I lost a lot friends that you nor the rest of America ever heard about because of his unsound foreign policies If it came down to it and I had to pick one or the other democratic candidates, I would choose Mr. Obama. At least voting for the dream of change is better than voting for someone who has found a way to put positive spin on status quo.

Everyone! Please stop the divisivness!!

We have to be united as democrats...this is taking an ugly turn. When this all began, I vowed not to vote for Hillary if she won the nomination, now I HAVE to remember that we are democrats. There's strength in our numbers. This is our year to take back the Whitehouse. Let's stick together. Either one of them is better than McCain. He wants to keep us in Iraq for 100 years!

I don't trust the Clintons, but I am no traitor. I will not vote for more WAR!

I read these comments and I'm stunned how many people use simplistic slurs like "liar" or "cheat" for these two candidates. I will be happy with either Obama or Clinton -- but again, I think Clinton is the stronger option. That being said, can't we respect these people for having the nerve to run? It's because of the nasty slurs and CR*P in general that so many really good people refuse to go into politics. The candidates have to clean up their act? I think the PUBLIC has to start being a little more respectful of these people. You want really brilliant minds and truely talented people to govern? Then you better be willing to accept human beings -- you know, people with flaws. Look at our icons -- every great president we've ever had was a flawed person. Yes, there was mud-slinging "back in the day" -- but now it's instantaneous and unrelenting. Would they have survived the mud-slinging and nastiness that we hurl non-stop at candidates today? Would they even have wanted to? WHEN ARE WE GOING TO LEARN? It's this trashiness that makes it so hard to attract really great leaders. Thank GOD we have ANYONE willing to run. My hat is off to all the candidates -- not just Clinton and Obama -- but McCain as well.

As for facts, FACTMAN... the Senate did not vote for the Iraq War in 2002. They voted for the UN to go in and find proof of WMD's, which there weren't. Bush decided on war. The Dems were fighting to get the debate back to the floor, because of the UN's findings.

I cannot understand why anyone would vote for Hillary!!
She has absolutely no chance of winning a general election.

She is HATED by ALL Republicans + 60% of the Democrats - do the math on that one!! Most of the people I work with at a major oil company are self declared Republicans and left early today to go vote for OBAMA!!! Hillary's name has never been mentioned, except in disgust.

You will never catch a Republican voting for Hillary. Time to get real folks, if we want to get our country back.

Alba, according to the information I've read Barack is ahead of the popular vote by over 1 million votes..............

I think all Obama supporters need to be ready to move the fight to Wyoming and Mississippi and then to PA. I think Barack will do well tonight winning at least 2 maybe 3 states......... the delegate count won't change, but HRC will find a way to substantiate staying in the race and further dividing the party.

Obama has closed a 20 point gap in both states despite all the negative ads, and pandering and pleading to the media by the other campaign. There is no way if Barack were behind by this many pledged delegates at this point that he would still be getting the coverage she's getting. Things look good in Texas, he's getting more of the Hispanic vote than she's getting of the African-American votes by a wide margin. Take that along with the way the delegates are divided based on voter turnout in the last election and it should be a great night in Texas. Ohio's weather may have an effect on the less than fidelis, which wouldn't apply to most Obama supporters, and may supply a surprise win.

The polls only call registered voters............. they don't take into account the new voters Obama is bringing to the party. That's how he's able to outperform the polls like in Wisconsin. Finish strong........

Okay!!!!!! This is getting ugly. People, let's not become total idiots.

Last check none of the candidates have ever been the President of the USA. Not even Hillary.

And just for the record the "town idiot" could answer the phone at 3:00am !!! and the House of Rep and Senate will tell him what to do. Tada....it's like magic. If Hillary had ever been president she would know.

One last point ... never thought I'd see the day that a newsworthy channel such and CNN would give Saturday Night Live so much credit. Now that's a photo that does not need to be on your home page....

HEAVEN KNOWS IF HE WANTED TO GET DOWN AND DIRTY, THERE'S A BIG TRUCKLOAD OF GARBAGE HE COULD THROW AT HER. WHAT A SORDID PAST.
Hillary is pro-illegal immigration candidate, that is why Latinos like her. I remember when it was first pro-illegal rally in New York in center of Manhattan in 2005, Hillary was screaming into megaphone to the people with many flags of Latino Nations, that she will fight for them, for they rights. I was feeling like she had betrayed us, the New Yorkers, and have decided that never ever will vote for her and will vote against her. I don't think I'm alone.

John Kerry just summed it all up for who the next democratic candidate should be. Unfortunately, he named the wrong one. Barack has won more states and Hillary only the big states, but take a look at what states those were. Barack's states that he has won are Republican states and won't help a Dem come November. Hillary has won all the big Democrat states and she has won swing states as well, which we all know determine a lot of elections. For John Kerry to back Barack for his 'many' wins, tells me why he failed in the last election.

Austin, TX – Today, Texas Democratic Party Vice Chair and Superdelegate Roy Laverne Brooks endorsed Barack Obama. Her statement is below.

“As the current Vice Chair of the Texas Democratic Party, I’ve worked for more than 20 years within this structure to make a difference in the lives of those who have needed it the most, the average working, middle and lower income people of our state and our country.

“Having worked as a hospital and hospice Chaplain, I have seen firsthand the sorrow felt by families torn by the loss of loved ones and burdened by unaffordable health care. Many working 10 to 12 hours a day, 6 to 7 days a week, and still couldn’t keep up with rising health care costs. In working as a Chaplain, as a teacher, social worker, as a representative of the ideals that attracted me and many others to this party, I believe we must dream and desire better for our communities.

“I have listened to the words of many seeking to lead this Party and to lead this nation and I believe that the words, sincerity, vision and actions of Sen. Barack Obama prove he is the best candidate to lead our nation. Senator Barack Obama has gained my trust in that he, like I, seek to bring a better life to our communities. As I strive to make this a better place for future generations, I stand for a system of inclusion, a system of change and most of all a system of fairness and equality. Senator Obama will provide affordable health care for all Americans, end the war in Iraq and provide the care our veterans deserve, and I am proud to support him today.”

you should make the point to john kerry the voter turnout is due to the fact that people are tired of the republican party........bush does what he wants to do................. i would like to tell john kerry one thing though.......i voted for him only for the sake of getting bush out of office.........mr kerry living living off the weath of his wife...............i would really look forward to the support of him and his drunk murdering friend....... if he wasnt a kennedy and a senator he would be sitting in jail.....maybe these 2 fossils need to get out of politics........our democratic congress cant stand up against a republican president............maybe they need to get a new job where they can learn how to have some kind of backbone all you that say you would vote for mc cain if your candidate doesnt get the nomination is crazy ...........if this is the way you feel dont show up for the general election because youre not a democrate anyway race, gender is not what this race is about its about democracy........

It's a sad day for America. When I look at all four contenders -- huckabee, hillary, mccain and Obama -- I am left with a sinking feeling because I think none of these candidates are electable. I think John Edwards would have been the best candidate, but unfortunately the imbeciles of this country have somehow become the majority.

I have a question. There is a lot of talk about Hillary winning the big states, states that the Democrats need to win to win in November. How does this matter??? If Hillary loses say Ohio and still becomes the nominee, or Obama becomes the nominee without winning a "big" state who says either of them would not win the "big" states in the general election?

Senator Clinton has taken a beating from the press (and others) for the past few months and held her head sky high. She has proven herself an outstanding leader, she did not flinch…
On the other hand, Senator Obama has been rattled by the media for a few days and he is acting like a third grade baby… "I did not do it, she did"… Is that in fact the person we want representing us as a nation?
Not for my family… We are trillions of dollars in debt and we need strength and experience…
Obama is not ready…

I would not vote for Hillary if her tongue was notorized by G.W Bush. She just lies about everything from experience to being the better candidate, what has she done. Being just the first lady of the white house does not prove anything. She was with her husband in the white house when, the scandal of white water went down. She did not stop it. She thinks she can jump on the back of Bill Clinton and ride his coat tail into the white house well she is wrong! Let the old meet the new. No Bill and Hillary or John and his wife. The new sheriff in town is Obama 08!
