COLUMBUS, Ohio (CNN) – Sen. Hillary Clinton claimed victory in Ohio Tuesday night and vowed to take the win "all the way" to the Democratic nomination for president.

"For everyone here in Ohio and across America who was counted out but refused to be knocked out, for everyone who has stumbled but got back up, for everyone who works hard but never gives up, this one is for you," she said.

"You know what they say," she said. "As Ohio goes, so goes the nation. Well, this nation's coming back and so is this campaign."

I don't think CNN is supporting Obama, in fact, they are secretly supporting Hillary, Whenever they are both in the news, Hillary is always shown doing the talking, while Obama is shown doing the hand shaking.

We Need Change, CNN

lou   March 5th, 2008 1:01 am ET

That a way Hillary. Your negative ,fear ads worked. And now you will split the party in 2 with your poison and give more ammo to the Republicans,. you and your husband show again that you are all that matters . The fools in Ohio that refused to acknowledge your support of Nafta,I hope your happy. You Gained NO delegates tonight. So big deal… Obama 08

Serge from Miami   March 5th, 2008 12:59 am ET

Hillary supporters, please do the math and start looking at the fact that Hillary won't get enough votes to win the nomination. In the end this will drag through the DNC and Obama will be chosen. Get ready to back us up, because we won't have much time after that impending superdelegate fiasco to rally behind our Democratic candidate.

JC   March 5th, 2008 12:59 am ET

All Hillary is doing is breaking apart the dems. Most Obama supporters I know will clearly back McCain over Hillary any day. Also, she didn't gain a significant number of delegates. I guess Hillary thinks "If I can't have it, no one can". Keep it up, and McCain will be loving it all the way the 1600 Penn.

Christian   March 5th, 2008 12:58 am ET

Congratulations H ilary, You deserve so much to be the next Fresident of theUSA The American people, at last will have a President that they can be proud.
I have been following your campaign from Canada. I am from England and I have never witnessed such Shameless Biased Broadcasting from a TV as I have seen from CNN, they have tried so hard to brain wash The American people, thank God the American people are not so Gullable.
The CNN anchors look as though they are in mourning tonight. Well done Hilary , we look forward to you going from strenght to strenght.

Uma   March 5th, 2008 12:53 am ET

Canadians, like myself, know that Hillary is the only candidate who can restore the positive reputation of America in the world. She has our respect.

Linda--Austin, Texas   March 5th, 2008 12:48 am ET

Jeremiah you're right when you say: "Um, maybe OBAMA SHOULD DROP OUT? Let your analysts consider that."

I'm in awe of Hillary's outstanding work ethic…isn't it obvious that she will put that same determination, energy, and brains to work for America! She is so brave in the face of those TV pundits' taunts. They remind me of bullies in the schoolyard, afraid of the smart girl.

God bless Texas! SHE'S WON IT! SHE 'S WON ! SHE's WON!

Kat   March 5th, 2008 12:48 am ET

She may have won some tonite, but the tide is stil with Obama…..we don't need another Clinton in the White House……..

Ed   March 5th, 2008 12:48 am ET

I just have this one thing to say: If al qaeda is ever in Iraq, we'll go into Iraq. But al qaeda wasn't in Iraq until Bush invaded Iraq. SO, if al qaeda ever leaves Iraq, we'll go into Iraq to remove them.

WHAT A MORON!!!!!!!! He'd be better to say…."if al qaeda ever attacks a US City, we'll send in our troops to clean it up".

Go Hill!

I don't think Hillary supporters are like kids! We are supporting Hillary because she's the most qualified candidate. She's a fighter and she will go all the way to the white house.

Hillary 08

Interesting   March 5th, 2008 12:44 am ET

It is so interesting reading the comments. The Hillary supporters sounds exactly like her.
Eventhough it is mathmatically impossible for her to overcome his lead with so little time remaining, by chance if she did win the nomination, I would vote for McCain rather than Hillary.

I think she is all about the power and not the people!

OBAMA 08

Tyler in Raleigh   March 5th, 2008 12:43 am ET

I guess Hillary "majored in miracles, not math". Well….. I guess when you are a HillBilly or a Huckabee from Arkansas (and supported no child left behind) you shouldn't be expected to know your ABCs and 123s.

Sorry HillBilly…. you guys had your 2 terms as co-presidents.

Evan   March 5th, 2008 12:41 am ET

Thanks Hillary. Wy do you hate America so much anyway?

Honestly, I think you want John McCain to win. You're ruining the Democratic Party. I hope the Dems throw you out of the party after all of this.

ABC   March 5th, 2008 12:41 am ET

I am so glad this Obamarama is over! People are finally coming to their senses and appreciating what a wonderful candidate we have in Hillary. She is the only one who can beat McCain in November.
Yes, she will go ALL THE WAY!

We love you, Hillary. Go HIllary!

Audacity of Hype   March 5th, 2008 12:39 am ET

Obama is being discovered as what he is really about. The hype is over and is time for reality. The parrot to Hillary is running out of copy answers.

Hillary is the reality.

Night Writer   March 5th, 2008 12:33 am ET

She is not a fighter. She is manipulative. Everytime things are going in Barak's favor she dredges up dirt (all of which is never accurate and factual based).

It never ceases to amaze me that these little slams of hers occur on the eve of the caucuses and primaries.

Vig   March 5th, 2008 12:33 am ET

This just proves that CNN, FOX and MSNBC don't elect the candidates - the people do and the people have spoken tonight. Now let's see how they spin this one.

amanda jones   March 5th, 2008 12:33 am ET

I love the comment a Fox reporter made. "" Obama wasn't born in the manger tonight.""

John in Va Beach   March 5th, 2008 12:32 am ET

Anna   March 5th, 2008 12:32 am ET

Question, I don't understand why it is mentioned that Obama supporters are educated. Aren't they African American and college students? College students don't have a degree yet. Are they talking about high school grads? Statistically African American are less educated.

Rex, Toledo, Ohio   March 5th, 2008 12:31 am ET

Clinton supporters are laughable. rah rah go girl..lol
Yup, she took Ohio and she might take texas, but, guess what, she will not take the nomination. Delegates rule the day,

Linda   March 5th, 2008 12:19 am ET

Fabulous Hillary! For everyone who earned their way up and then saw it taken away by a flashy newcomer, this one is for YOU. Hillary is much the best and she needs everyone to keep it going! She is working hard, help her out, vote!

JS   March 5th, 2008 12:19 am ET

Good for her! When all is said and done she may have chipped as many as 5-15 delegates off of Obama's 150+ pledged lead! Now she just needs to win every remaining state by margins she hasn't pulled off anywhere except Arkansas. At least we'll get to see the tax returns…maybe.

Mary   March 5th, 2008 12:18 am ET

TOMMY G

YOU GOT THAT RIGHT.

My problem with Hillary is she will have excess baggage if she wins.
We don't need that in the White House.

ashley   March 5th, 2008 12:14 am ET

She may be behind on delegates but Iive got a hunch about the Texas primaries.
The caucus will go to Obama but thats only a rough 33% of the delegates.
And those could be easily made up in Pennsylvania.

Anonymous   March 5th, 2008 12:14 am ET

2% was obtained in Ohio by John Edwards, which I'm sure accounts for the same in Tx.

If the democrats nominate Hillary - then we are doomed. She has successfully divided the party for her self serving purpose. Hillary supporters seem to have forgotten she will need Obama voters in November.

The republicans are salivating over the fact the Democrats found yet one more way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. As a democrat - all I can say is unbelievable. I am disgusted by my own party.

If Hillary wins - I will vote Nader in protest - and 90% of Obama supporters feel the same. So enjoy your victory and thanks for shooting the democratic party in the head.

azsaguaro   March 5th, 2008 12:09 am ET

Christmas comes early for John McCain and the Republicans. Think of all the money the Republicans will save while HRC and BHO beat the hell out of each other until Pennsylvania.

Meg   March 4th, 2008 11:59 pm ET

The Republicans are so happy the Hillary won. She is the polarizing force that will make another Republican term happen. Obama IS the hope of this country.

hillary 08:   March 4th, 2008 11:59 pm ET

John, Obama can get you some chicken

Justin   March 4th, 2008 11:59 pm ET

Oh I am afraid the deflector shields will be quite operational when you return to the trail, Hillary.

You're still behind in delegates.

CA Supporter   March 4th, 2008 11:58 pm ET

LOL … you foolish Hilary supporters are just like little kids…. just like the uneducated people that the polls show you are.

Count the delegates when it's all done.

Kevin   March 4th, 2008 11:58 pm ET

The numbers and polls show it. Common sense shows it. Even Rush Limbaugh/Ann Coulter can claim it. The right knows they can beat Hillary. There is enough division amongst it's own party, hatred from any republicans that may switch over, and lack of independent support for Hillary that all point that a vote for Hillary is a vote for McCain and four more years of Bush.

With Obama keeping his lead, the polls show he will beat McCain. Part of this is due to McCains lack of Christian support which will go to Obama.

Hillary's pluses over Obama are experience and military support. However take her pluses and they are dwarfed to McCains.

Luckily, he has a dominating lead.

Obama 2008

karen   March 4th, 2008 11:58 pm ET

Yes! Go Hillary! She is a fighter and she doesn't quit! I want to find out more about this cherry picking Judge who kept some areas open. They were not flooded. What is going on there? Now, just take a look at how Chris M. and Keith O. the campaign chairs for the Obama team respond.

James   March 4th, 2008 11:58 pm ET

I cannot believe that Ohio is still that stupid! Were they not the ones that helped George W. Bush get elected? If the DNC puts Hillary up as the nominee this time around I will quit voting Democrat and switch to Independent. That is not easy for me to say since I have been a consistent voter since I was able to vote at age 18 almost 34 years ago. I rather vote for Ralph Nader than Hillary Clinton. The Republicans have been her biggest supporter and the general public have sold into it hook, line and sinker. What a sad day for Ohio and the Nation! By the way, I will also take all my monetary support with me and move to another Country!

Tommy G   March 4th, 2008 11:58 pm ET

I have to say after listening to obama's speech on cnn tonight about how he feels and his stance. that it amazes me that he wants none of his background brought up but did bring it up in his own speech. Not only that but he said that "america should be the last hope". The man must have forgot he was running for president of America……I was planning on supporting Obama but after stating america is the last hope for people that turns me off and I fully Support Hillary .. Go Hillary .

D.L.   March 4th, 2008 11:58 pm ET

We "think"
Obama needs more experience to "come to Obama".
The man is creepy at best and the thugs who do his ground
work for him are SCARY!!!!!!!!

Debbie McGrew   March 4th, 2008 11:58 pm ET

Thats real mature Melanie, thats a real adult, mature comment.

sandra   March 4th, 2008 11:58 pm ET

she is horrible, please people get some comon sence

anonymous   March 4th, 2008 11:58 pm ET

I think that the remainnig two percent go with the undecided. The other thing that I wanted to say is that Obama is a copycat. He's using everything that Hillary says as his own words. Sorry Melanie, but we are moving on.

hillary 08:   March 4th, 2008 11:57 pm ET

YES SHE WILL! You rock Hillary! You are the ONE WE WANT!
hillaryclinton.com
go, support, contribute!!!!!

Pennsylvania is ready to vote for Hillary!

Melanie   March 4th, 2008 11:57 pm ET

How about you all grow up and stop bashing the Obama supporters and campaign! Every time I come on this site, it's constant bashing against his campaign (or against CNN because supposedly they are in favor of Obama). Why don't you accept defeat when it comes into your face? right now you are all happy because Hillary won (I congratulate her on her wins) but as soon as she'll lose again, I would love to see how you will all react then….

Sunny   March 4th, 2008 11:57 pm ET

Oh please Melanie! Obama is a copy cat. Everything Hillary says, he says I agree with her. And when she put up the ad with the red phone, he wanted to be have that red phone ad. Go HILLARY!!! DON'T LET the Obama Supporter scare you!!! The Obama Supporters are scary cuz you have bad people who support him. Like Rezko the scum and that outspoken farrakhan guy.

Zachra   March 4th, 2008 11:57 pm ET

CNN, please post some blurb about how the Clinton campaign decided LAST WEEK that they were going to file a lawsuit to keep the Texas caucus results from coming out on Tuesday night/Monday morning in an effort to keep the actual results out of the normal news cycle.

rock usula   March 4th, 2008 11:56 pm ET

OBAMA 2016 - Yes you can wait.

John   March 4th, 2008 11:56 pm ET

Too little too late Hillary. Obama is still in the lead, and will go on to defeat McCain. Thanks for trying dear, now go fix me a sandwich.

Justin   March 4th, 2008 11:56 pm ET

Hillary Clinton: Dedicated to destroying the Democratic party in '08.

Tommi   March 4th, 2008 11:56 pm ET

I just sent my doantion to Hillary. The future of America which in her confident, dilligent, dedicated heart and hands can be spent to continue the course. Please consider being nicer to her. You are hurting all the women in the country when you are so snide. You can't do that to Obama because the black power is stronger than the American Woman.

Drew   March 4th, 2008 11:56 pm ET

Its interesting how the same demographics that voted for George W. Bush (according to CNN exit polling) voted for Hillary over Obama.

Pat   March 4th, 2008 11:56 pm ET

Obama is going down!

Night Writer   March 4th, 2008 11:55 pm ET

Her win just goes to show that it is politics as usual. Sling some mud, make a few unsubstantiated claims and voila!
There comes a time when Americans will realize that her stunts are just that. She wants to the White House -not to work for Americans. Every time she wins, it is a sad moment in time because we know she is fighting dirty.

Her tactics continue to divide the party. She is about two populations: older white women and Latinos.

Barak is about EVERYBODY.

Drew   March 4th, 2008 11:55 pm ET

After reading more about Ralph Nader, if Obama doesn't win the nomination this is one Democrat that will be voting for Ralph Nader over Hillary or McCain in November.

Anonymous   March 4th, 2008 11:55 pm ET

Even though she won she still is going to be behind about the same number of delegates as she was before today. Congrats to her for Ohio but it is time to step aside because she wont have enough delegates to beat Obama. Step aside for our party and stop being selfish and bitter.

Evan   March 4th, 2008 11:55 pm ET

Sounds like we all better get used to the words "President McCain."

Conrats, Hillary, on putting your ego before the good of the Party or the country.

Pat   March 4th, 2008 11:54 pm ET

Go Hillary!

Black Man For Hillary   March 4th, 2008 11:54 pm ET

OK.. Obama just spoke for 15 minutes and hasn't said a thing about his platform or plans. He's trashed everyone and everything in our government.

I couldn't care less where he's from or his skin color, I want to hear HOW he's going to "CHANGE" our country.

GIVE ME SPECIFICS!!! NOT SERMONS!!!!

I'm still wondering who the "WE" in "Yes 'we' can" is? He is definantly NOT speaking for this black man.

tammi   March 4th, 2008 11:54 pm ET

Good for Clinton that she won, but realistically speaking, is there any chance she can still beat Obama?

Wes   March 4th, 2008 11:54 pm ET

There is a huge difference between - "Yes we can" and "Yes we will"

Figure it out!!!

jeremiah   March 4th, 2008 11:54 pm ET

Um, maybe OBAMA SHOULD DROP OUT? Let your analysts consider that. I'm watching right now, and his acolytes seem a little less than thrilled.

~no he can't

Treasurer of the Wolf Blitzer Fan Club   March 4th, 2008 11:49 pm ET

Here's a question I would like answered on the air:
I see that that the vote count in Texas is 50% for Clinton and 48 for Obama. Who's receiving the remaining 2%? Mike Gravel's officially still in the race (cnn NEVER mentions him, by the way). If Gravel's receiving that 2%, those are votes that would likely go to Obama if he left the race, enough to possible put Obama in the lead. I think many Americans wonder about this issue. Where's that remaining 2%????

Jacob   March 4th, 2008 11:49 pm ET

Good luck Clinton, now that the republican race is over we need some news to be made!
