Obama lawyer crashes Clinton conference call

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Barack Obama’s campaign lawyer Bob Bauer crashed a conference call convened by Hillary Clinton’s campaign Tuesday evening, sparring with Clinton communications director Howard Wolfson in an exchange that lasted several minutes.

Bauer dialed into the call that was intended to update the media on alleged irregularities in Texas caucus voting and identified himself to Wolfson’s surprise.

“Nice of you to call. How are you?” said a startled Wolfson when Bauer introduced himself.

The two men then proceeded to battle over the Clinton campaign’s complaints over caucus voting in Nevada and in Texas, with Bauer directly asking the Clinton campaign to “Stop attacking the caucus process.”

Wolfson responded by challenging Bauer to work closely with the Clinton campaign to ensure there were no irregularities in the Texas caucuses.

“I would ask you to join with us this evening in ensuring that the serious problems that are ongoing as we speak in Texas are addressed,” Wolfson said, adding that they did not hold Bauer "personally responsible.”

Bauer returned to his original charge, saying that the Clinton campaign had attempted to interfere with the process in both Iowa and Nevada, adding: “How is this (complaint) any different than the series of complaints registered against every caucus that you lose?"

After several minutes, Wolfson ended the conversation, telling Bauer he looked forward to "asking our own questions on subsequent calls of yours."

Hillary's experience is no better than that of a backseat driver.

However, she's darn good at cryin and lyin.

Sounds too much like a Republican too me.

Clinton & Obama are about even, meaning 1/2 the dems support her, and 1/2 Obama. So why should she drop out before the race is even over? They are both quality candidates, and they should follow the rules and go to the end. And their supporters should quit bashing each other.

What a low down thing to do!!! Another back door type deal..Obama's true colors are really showing. This stinks..this guy is SOOO not ready to be president. I guess he'll say "I knew nothing about this". Give you all any insight into how he would act as a president? Something rotten happens and he'll claim one of his very experienced people "Did It"

This kind of back stabbing politics should be brought out in the media that these kinds of tactics are going on. There should be fines levy against the Fake lying Clintons' and her directors and any one else who is involved in these kind of low balling tactics. It's time the Barack stop playing the nice guy and roll up his sleeves and go to battle with these sleaze balls.

Hey CNN, I don't expect you to post this, but how about reporting on the 3 counties in Ohio where Obama team has polls stay open late because of "irregularities". Come to find out, it was determined 9 minutes before those polls closed (ones that stayed open late).... HAD NO IRREGULARITIES!!!!! Obama's lawyer attached NO INFORMATION TO SUPPORT THE CLAIM!!! These counties are predominantly black counties. How is this fair, and why in the hell aren't you reporting it? Cripes, Fox did. CNN, you are getting worse by the day!!!!!

i'm confused by this article – the only point I get out of this is Obama's lawyer crashed a conference call from the Clinton campaign. The question is, how did he get the number? and why did he do it?

clinton's staff hard at work on the net I see. never resting until the rest of the u.s. believes she's inevitable. as for all the little states that voted against her- shut up. you don't count unless there's enough delegates for her highness to consider spending precious time and money on. a sign of our future under clinton. get ready to be her peon.

I see no one asking why Clinton has come out with such negative adds towards Obama. She keeps claiming the exp card but no one is checking her on the fact that being a first lady does not give you hat claim. I will give her the fact that she had a front seat during her husbands term but she never had to make the decisions. That is what counts. I am neither an Obama supporter or a Clinton supporter but can anyone deny that when the Vote for the Iraq war came "DECISON TIME" she made a huge mistake. She did not even read the intelligence report (THAT IS A FACT PEOPLE) but then claims that she made the judgement based on what she had. I had much respect for the Clintons and always shrugged off those who said they would do anything to win but after see what is going on, I am starting to believe it.

How is this a lowlife trick by Senator Clinton? She wasn't the one crashing her own conference call.

Also sooooo tired of Senator Obama supporters 'reminding' us that only the 'non- college educated' support Senator Clinton.
What a slap in the face to those who didn't go or finish college who are incredibly successful in their fields.

I didn't finish college and I own a successful small business.

People in this forum and everywhere else deserves the actual facts.
I AM FROM TEXAS AND I KNOW THAT OBAMA'S CAMPAIGN CLEARLY VIOLATED THE CAUCUS RULES BY GIVING AWAY THE FORMS TO THEIR SUPPORTERS WAY BEFORE EVEN THE POLLS CLOSE.

Obama's campaign is acting clearly like a 4 year old.....

They were whinning in SC, and now bullying in TX.....

    Whats next???

Amazing... The Clinton campaign goes directly to the media to make accusations against Obama. And the Obama campaign gets chastized for defending itself against yet-to-be-proved allegations? They are trying to "try this case" in the media. Where are the facts? Where are the FEC workers? There are proper ways to deal with complaints, and in the media is NOT even in the top ten.

Oh, by the way, just heard from some friends in TX..... Obama's strong-armers and screamers have been at it again scareing people and making them leave caucus sites.

    Sick!

Caucusing was horrible. My sister (Clinton) was left along w/ other standing in the cold w/ no communication from those conducting the process. I (Obama) voted in Tarrant County and although I voted w/ no problem, my caucus vote will likely not be counted because I magically no longer appeared on the list. It is a stupid process that has angered many people I know.
